This is blueform, a sublabel of melted recordings, with it's first release - made by Random Audio. In order to assort different variations of techno blueform was founded as the first official sublabel of melted recordings, although small labels aside of melted were started so far. Blueform stands for real classic detroit techno as we know and love it for many years. Very famous protagonists, especially from the US formed this spacy, retro-futuristic and/or chordish sound - a special state of mind. Random Audio reflects these characteristics with his tracks of the hologram EP. He is an important part of the futuredraht community, he has produced many tracks of various styles - mostly (but not only) techno - and even now he had just his second track on melted recordings under another alias, this is his first own (vinyl | digitally worldwide distributed) release. The first track "Fourier Transmatica" brings us back with a pulsating sound into the late nineties of detroit techno. The chords, melodies and pads in "Downtown" fit exactly to the sound of "the motor city". "The Model" goes right into the science fiction side of techno using creaky blips and old string sounds and finally "The Mask" seems to build itself up with bubbling tones again and again. Watch out for the next big release of Random Audio very soon!

Romanian record label Understand has reached its third installment and it continues to deliver massively, in the same respect as the previous two.
Understand 003 'Arhiva EP' features two tracks, one on each side, from Romanian veteran Rhadoo.

The A side 'Cum Oare' is the more dancefloor oriented of the two, having a fast tempo hypnotic quality to it that is sure to keep many dancing in the early mornings. This track really grabs your attention to the organized chaos of intricately modulated sounds for the whole length.

The B side 'Geemac' is more stripped down and raw sounding, a welcome touch of deepness from Rhadoo. The tempo is lower but that just gives the track more room to breathe in between a thin melodic chord and a female chorus. As we've become accustomed with Rhadoo's unique works, his shortened claps and steady hats give this track enough groove to power it up. An abundance of filter sounds, noises and modulated voice keep you well into it.

This then is a masterpiece of the minimalist kind that keeps Rhadoo and this young record label at the forefront of underground electronic music with some much needed uniqueness that helps inspire many in times like these, when all we seem to hear is copy-cats and never ending rip-offs.

Over on the B side detroit legend stacey pullen serves up and amazing remix. Containing a grooving bass line and some of the original parts the record progresses with intelligent chords and trippy atmospheric layers.

Aus Music's sister label Simple Records returns hot on the heels of their recent EP from UK production duo, Dusky. This time around, London-based Glaswegian, Sei A (a.k.a. Andy Graham) takes the helm. Sei A's profile has been building ever since the release of his debut album, .Editing Shadows,' in 2008 which received a rapturous reception throughout the music press. A steady stream of single releases followed, as well as a second LP (.White Rainbow'), each further developing his hybrid-House, techno and bass-heavy sound, helping to capture the attention of some of the best underground labels out there including Missive, Buzzin' Fly, Kompakt (with whom he has just released a very well received 12) and Turbo. On this new EP, Sei A's strong signature production values remain at the heart of the record, which melds deep and forward-thinking techno with rich textures and moody atmospherics. Romanian record label Amphia have just released their third vinyl and it is very far from your run of the mill record. The label owners, Vlad Caia & Cristi Cons, are showcased here in their collaborative form under the project name SIT.

A side 'Channeling' is a very pleasant listening experience full of depth and grace. The beat and bass take the center stage here while everything else is kind of muted and carefully filtered just waiting to be discovered. Unlike the A side, most of the drum elements are acoustic in nature. An element that is never hidden here is the complex array of melodic atmospherics. The three minute long outro gives you a chance to reflect upon some of the elements in greater detail and leaves you feeling cooled and relaxed.

B side 'Ex' has a very industrial, feel to it right off the bat. Aside from the hypnotic 4/4 beat we have a very playful bassline, bright reverbed synthetic drum elements that are carefully crafted in sound and well placed in the structure of the sound, giving the track a smooth, rolling feel. A detuned pad helps complete this beauty's slightly darker melodic character.

This is then a very effective record in the sense that it perfectly showcases what the dynamic duo are capable of, complex and mesmerizing at the same time.
