Redsonja Records releases the fourth EP, this time under the name "Studio", containing two tracks by Pelacha called "Studio" and "Analogic Swing", and "Studio Remix" by the American Fanon Flowers." Studio" bounces between deep techno and tech-house; taking us into a world of slight movement, resembling some of the typical Detroit sound elements. Fanon Flowers adds the American touch, adding more power and energy to the modulation pads. "Analogic Swing" by Pelacha is a dryer composition, driven by a constant string; pure dance-floor techno.

Con-Struct the 2nd - When we asked Andreas Reihse to produce a Con-Struct album for us he didn't hesitate to accept.Andreas Reihse, member of Kreidler and solo artist (album: Romantic Comedy m=minimal mm-008) is one of the most important representants of the post-kraut generation, he also knows and loves the music of Conrad Schnitzler. The result is this second Con-Struct album.

Tenebrae's "Element EP" is the third release of Grinch Productions, a label specialising is deep and dark electronic music. The tracks "Cold Forged" and "Element" incorporate found sounds and effects from industrial environments to give the music a sense of machine-like movement. The heavy pulse of the tracks attempts to capture a feeling of the technological driving force behind modern civilisation. Also featured is a remix of "Element" by the Grinch himself. This track follows on from the theme of the release and adds a hypnotic broken rhythm to the formula.

The new album by techno's most restlessly inventive artist: Pitch bending shaped 17:50's weirdly alien, yet extremely catchy melodies and bass lines - rough analog drums and distortion hardware bring new sonic pleasures to innovative dance floors. Anti slickness. Pro pitch bend. A world out of tune. De-tuning notes has been central to house and techno since the early days in Chicago. Stefan Goldmann's '17:50 is where this bitter-sweet sound turns systematic: the whole Western harmonic standard is thrown overboard and replaced by pitch systems that yield beautifully alien yet incredibly catchy melodies, bass lines and chords. It is probably the first new melodic concept to enter house music since the days of acid. In a field of music whose innovations seemed to have come to an end, pitch bending opens up radically fresh possibilities. Tones never stand still but are bent and re-tuned for maximum expression. As a result even the most simple melodies sound exotically new and intriguing. Warm synths, analog drum machines and loads of dirty distortion shape the album's sound. '17:50 is as much about pitch going crazy as about celebrating a rough, vivid hardware sound. Bend the pitch and the mind will follow. Souvenir records proudly presents the return of our brother captains, Tiefschwarz, with a murky new single featuring the vocal athletics of the inimitable Argenis Brito. Argenis Brito, a native Venezuelan, is best known for his long time association with Chilean artists like Dandy Jack, Pier Bucci and Atom TM's saucy Senor Coconut project. His studio trickery and multi-instrumentalism served him extremely well as a key player in delivering to the house music world a splash of Latin colour in the early noughties, labels like Cadenza rising to dominance on dancefloors around the floor. He's traveled the world too with his inventive live set, tailoring each specific show with the myriad rhythms and patterns presented by different South American sounds.On 'No Message' Argenis heralds in a chunky undulating bassline with a panoply of echoing grunts, vocal snippets warping in and out of earshot. Balance swerving, it sounds like a crowd of people murmuring around you, with the tracks refrain of 'bringing a message' and 'only you know what is real' doing very little to reassure. A skittering drum pattern propels the track forward as shimmering keys fly in and out at surprising off-beats. A sawtooth synth improvisational moment provides an irreverent break before plunging headfirst back into the tense beat. As per usual, Tiefschwarz provide one of their trademark dub mixes, bulking out the low end with lead anvils, the chords themselves shaped into doughy pillows of sound. Argenis' vocals are chopped down, and more heavily treated so as to become more of a repeating sound than intelligible words.

Herbert House music fans will not be disappointed by this clutch of rare tracks, available for a short time on vinyl. After such an overwhelming positive response to Matthew Herbert's recent return with the Wishmountain project 'Tesco', Accidental records have decided to release this limited run 12' featuring some of the highlights of the original project., including the classic 'Radio'.
Radio was first championed by Djs such as Sven Vath and Westbam as well as being a club classic for legendary clubs like Fuse in Belgium. The track blasted its way in to nightclubs around the world despite being made only from 8 sounds of a beaten up plastic radio. In many ways it made Matthew's name, as someone ready to bring real and challenging sounds to the largely synthetic soundscape of club music while being unafraid to make people dance at the same time.

Gabriel le Mar dreht in seinem Rework von - On my way' einmal alles von rechts auf links und reicht den Tänzern die Zügel zu einem Freiritt auf der melodisch galoppierenden Bassline. Bei dem Ausritt guckt man gern, was noch so geht abseits der stoischen Taktgeraden.
