Hot on the heels of release 050 from Tiefschwarz with Argenis Brito on vocal duty, comes a neat remix package with contributions from David K, Strangers in Heaven and Re-UP. French producer David K has released on all the major Parisian labels, Freak n' Chic, Rue De Plaisance, Jetaime amongst others. Here he serves up a double dose, his 'Allegro' rework anything but, the vocals twisted out of recognition into a muttering chorus of demonic gremlins, while the mutant drums steadily beat out an ominous tone. A distant marimba and the odd piano chord that's left hanging, a quizzical non sequitur, lift the melody. On the flip, David's 'Grand Piano' pairs a shuffling, almost jazzy beat with a shower of tinkling pianos, the vocals washed with melancholy from the keystrokes that slowly morph into plucked strings. Souvenir's very own mysterious twosome, Strangers in Heaven, beef up the kick and make the bassline snake and swirl, turning up the groove factor. The vocals provide respite from the tension, while skittering synth sounds come up close against the hypnotic beat. Upon You stalwarts Re-UP take it deep, a throbbing bassline playing off the tightest of snare hits, a squelching synth hitting suddenly and a distended voice appearing too out of nowhere. It's a total transformation, none of the original parts distinguishable, as if seen through a prism of the unsettling.

Und in ihrer Gesamtheit noch viel mehr. Der Titel Rope widmet sich voll und ganz dem melancholischen Lied der Sängerin, hintergründige Streicher und verträumte Ambient-Zitate scha en ein Gefühl von Filmmusik. Genau das greift auch der Mollono.Bass Remix auf, jedoch ist die Handlung seines Drehbuchs von den Trommeln ferner Länder und dem nächtlichen Reiz einer exotischen Metropole geprägt. Der Titel Dive atmet ebenfalls durch die ergreifende Ausdruckskraft jener Stimme, hier kommen gebrochene Beats dazu, die sich mehr und mehr gerade ausrichten und eine unterschwellig stimulierende Note erzeugen. Inspiriert von diesem subtilen Aufbau präsentiert Mollono.Bass eine Hauptzeit-taugliche Überarbeitung, treibender Groove und schnittige Percussions holen den Zuhörer vom einleitenden Gesangspart ab und tragen ihn dann hinaus in die hypnotischen Weiten des Klangraums.

- mantle' is already pixel's forth release on raster-noton since his debut in 2003 and a further exploration of his approach to rhythm-driven, electronic music.the overall atmosphere which is produced by the fragile but nevertheless complex sounds is gloomy and quite threatening. deep, pulsating basses are accompanied by ominous and ferce tones which emerge like fashes of light or shock waves, giving the impression of being warning signals, and the few calm moments of the tracks are constantly disrupted by dark drowns. if this is the future, it will not be very bright. but all the precisely generated sounds, which seem to be produced by industrial machinery, are by no means lifeless. actually it seems like the automats are tuned to funk, resulting in a polyrhythmic, driving and impulsive composition one cannot escape from.

Taking a step back into the past Franck Roger adopts a raw approach with his latest EP on Real Tone. Removing the comfort of working

via sequencers, Franck instills more of a 'live' feeling with the Love Is Always two-tracker.

Having been a prolific producer for quite some time now - he started making beats in 1999 - the Real Tone head honcho decided to inject

a raw spirit into his latest project by working around the live edit format. As the man himself says, "It's you with your external machines and your MPC".
A novel approach that has given birth to two warm, analogue-orientated tracks that evoke a sense of years gone by.
First up is the title track, Love Is Always, which evokes a deep sensual vibe. Building up from a funky, bouncing bassline the track uses its
simplicity to its advantage, taking charge with a smooth, soulful vocal clip as the bass continues to suck you in to its subterranean groove.
On the flip is When You Touch, again focused around a deeper, raw soundscape working off a traditional 4x4 beat and a hefty, driving
bassline. There's an aquatic feel to the track with a wobbling analogue groove and sultry organ chords swimming around the hypnotic vocal
hook. Gripping the dancefloor from the off and keeping you transfixed from beginning to end, its infectious spirit is impossible to shake off.
To add to the live nature of the tracks, they have been recorded straight to a DAT with the errors still intact. For this EP it's all about removing
reliance on computers and unleashing pure vibes... ...and we're sure you'll agree that these two tracks have vibes in abundance.

Swedish/Danish talent and newly-announced Cocoon Artist Bookings act Martinez brings a hot new EP to Memoria this month, following on from his impressive work for the likes of Cadenza, Moon Harbour, ViVA and Oslo and many other highly-respected labels.

Keppont kicks off the release with plenty of low-slung bass appeal. Subtle, subby bass throbs away under slight, minimal-minded yet infectious percussion, and wonky FX that's blended into
the track in an uncontrived, organic fashion. This is one to work the bass bins, the essence of techno boiled down to deep, sleazy essentials. Speaking of FX, the EFX Reprise provides a tool
for DJs to add a little bit of weirdness to their sets.

Pygmalion - already getting support from Loco Dice - serves up a little more of the tribal
flavour that Martinez is synonymous with, building slowly through layers of rolling bongos and congas and the like, anchored by a simple, deep bassline. The hats come in and out at their own discretion, the whole track characterised by a taut, driving feel. And if you like the rhythms,
you'll be happy to know that some raw bonus beats are also included.

With our 3rd release, we present the musical world of the three young guys from Acidfactory. After beeing part of our "Skytrain/Debajo del Sol"-EP, they open another perspective of modern electronic music, remixed by Lebensfreude labelowner Gunne and the upraising artist Andy Kohlmann.

The titel track "rush me" fuses the Steinbergian House style with the Lo-Fi charm of the roaring 20's. IT comes over slightly poppy but with a very relaxed and laid back groove. Steinberg at his best!

..RANDFORM - minimal art in techno. randform creates a new framework for concept minimalist techno. the project derives its fundamental inspiration from the pioneering and timeless work of studio 1; freiland; profan; audio nl. randform envisions the revival, continuation, and development of the unique aesthetics of minimalism as an art form in and for techno. abstraction, reduction and repetition to extract the pure essence of techno. being a concept label randform highlights with every release a particular interpretation of the common underlying theme of formally rigorous and abstract minimalism. in effect the confirmed artist roster so far already assembles a set of highly distinguished techno and experimental producers, most of whom work out series of records for randform. their identity will be unveiled record by record. the first release randform001 presents a novel project formel 1 by kompakt and auftrieb artist heib with two works of ultra-reduced conceptual techno. as a holistic minimalism project, the artwork is implemented with great care by chosen practitioners of the fine arts. the records as physical objects are thus transformed into works of minimal art in themselves. in partiuclar, the first ten releases are designed by new york based artist sebastian lemm, whose work in exhibited in numerous galleries in manhatten and brooklyn. the colour design is derived from the purity of yves klein blue and will assign a specific colour intensity for each of the first ten releases. in addition drafts of abstract white forms that subtly suggest a possible third spatial dimension complete the record artwork.

For more than 10 years, Berliners Martin Books and Alfred Heinrichs have been, and done a lot more than be partners in producing electronic music, they have also been best friends, as some would say: 'mates'.They are passionate about having fun, and their list of shared activities includes wakeboarding, snowboarding, motor-cross and cycling. So it was always clear to both men that they should combine their experience in electronic music to produce and release an album together on vinyl. Martin Brooks was able to collect a range of experiences early on, both nationally and internationally, as a long time musical companion of Telemen (Multicolour).As a band member he played at festivals such as Melt, SMS, Rave On Snow, Hessentage and many more. Alfred Heinrichs, the founder of Supdub Records and a part of Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, also has many years of musical success behind him, and is enthusiastic to show his followers this new development in his uniquely special sound.He has impressed crowds all over Germany and around the world, performing at Panorama Bar, Berghain, Watergate, Bar 25, Katerholzig and as far away as Australia and Japan. It happened in october 2004, Michael Kruck became First Called Resident DJ at the legendary
Fusion Club in Muenster. From now he builds up the big support in the Fusion mainfloor
and plays beside many famous acts like Chris Liebing, Marco Bailey, DJ Rush, Umek, Westbam,
Takkyu Ishino, Ben Sims and many others.
Of course with his pushing and grooving sound he reached a nationwide popularity, so that he
regularly plays in other very big locations of his country like the Butan Club in Wuppertal, the Tor 3
in Duesseldorf and many more. Furthermore his definition of techno is now entering Austria, in the
famous Dom im Berg in Graz or the Big Sunflower Festival in the Fly Areal Prambachkirchen.
Since July 2006, in the Fusion Club he hosts his own event series called Techno Division. In a 2
monthly period you can listen to many international top acts supported by Michael Kruck. Afterwards
he founded his DJ Booking & Artistmanagement agency named M2M Booking.
With his first release named Wobble EP which will be available in records stores in may 2011 on zero
point five records containing big remixes, the first step for further successful productions is made.
