Italian trio The Dolphins make a triumphant return to SCI+TEC with "Alba". "I've been opening my sets with Alba since the guys gave it to me earlier this year. It has now become my signature opening track with tons of people asking what it is and when it will be released" says the label boss. This hit is backed by the dark staccato siren of "Paravision" on the flip.

The Detroit Threads record store has survived in one incarnation or another for more than16 years. In this time personal relationships have formed with music makers of every circle over the common bond of vinyl sound. It was a logical step to give back to this community a product that reflects the many faces that make up the store. A store that has been and will continue to be a hub for the exchange of ideas, kept alive by like minded people who still believe in the independent Detroit spirit. This spirit shines upon the unique artists that move to their own beat, and never compromise their vision. Detroit Threads gives a voice to these artists that should be heard.
Nospectical is Walter Wasack, Jennifer Paull, and Chistopher Mcnamara. They are a team of Detroit sound artists that lean into e.d..m. on the minimal tip. Their comfort zone is inside of a sounds cape near the sphere of unconsciousness. Nospectical is a cool dark breeze that is alive with a pulse. They tread into strangeness and let it come together to form a neurotic world. Nospectical works to broaden the view and redefine the depth of Detroit techno. Detroit Threads is proud to support this cause.

The A-side 'Laurine Frost & Andrey Zots - Session 1 (We know how to swing take)', the original imagination of Laurine Frost, eccentric and filled with swing. Natural sounding percussion forms intricate rhythms and jazz vibes result in extraordinary groove, complemented with glances of contemporary futuristic sound, all the while with firm revolving baselines, which take their turn to dictate, whilst gentle cymbals vibrate, broken with periodic blasts of brass, crashes, and eerie winds. A timeless piece to be explored.

The B-side 'Andrey Zots & Laurine Frost - Session 2 (We used to play it loud take)' structured for the dance floor, this time strong hats dominate, amongst an icy scape where winds whistle and energies rush forward. The percussive structure develops, revolves, and subtly evolves, and this regularity marks every progression. Beneath this strong hypnotic and repetitive structure are heard higher percussive tones echoing neatly through and within, before a tight base drives forward through the atmospheric revolutions.

A vinyl of two divergent halves, interestingly from one beginning, mean the character and production aims of each artist can be seen, eccentric imagination central to one half and strict structure and meticulous sound engineering evident on the other. Together resulting in a vinyl impressed with deep artistic collaboration and struggle, in which much character is shown and story is told.

Nice second release on the Ton liebt Klang sublabel called Vogelfrei. This is a really festival and clubbomb by the labelhead Dembowski and Clark Davis (Turnbeutel, Subotnik). After the incredible success of Agaric's 'Who Made Up The Rules' , we come to you with this amazing remix EP. On the A side Josh Wink is onboard to remix the title track 'Who Made Up The Rules'. This is vintage Wink, pumping and building as only Josh can. On the B side we enlist the skills of Axel Boman who takes the hypnotic 'Get Off My Mind' and makes it a funky house jam. Mutiny makes its debut on Ovum Recordings with two dance floor monsters.  Longtime friends, this collaboration seemed destined to eventually happen.  They have been quiet for a while but the boys are back with a fresh sound! 

Ovum is excited to bring you the debut EP from Nico Lahs. Many know him from his tracks on 8 Bit and for his Ovum debut he has delivered two incredible slices of deepness. The Clouded Visions EP harkens back to the classic early Ovum sound but this is clearly a 2011 version of it.

After some great records on Lunar Disko, Ireland's Automatic Tasty now arrives on Photic Fields. With this piece the label continues its way to put out deep emotion-drenched electronic music. Inspired by his beloved nature near his hometown, especially the Sugar Loaf, Tasty produced these introspective tracks. Pure analogue works, with beautiful chords and melodies. Although his influences are noticeable, AT has developed a sound that is completely his own, giving no attention to trends, ever-copying artists or useless genre-indications. This is not a man from the big city, but from some quiet place in Eastern Ireland. This EP includes four recent works by AT, and shows the variety of his productions. Recommended for Aphex Twin-fans, and even though that category is already pretty large, it's in fact recommended for everyone who likes their music melancholic yet uplifting.

The first part of remixes that have been released already were delivered by Steve Bug and Sebo K. This time Barem has tuned in Channel X and rides with 'Rodeo' on A1 up and away. Following is Layo & Bushwacka! who convert the groove of Gunnar Stiller's 'Open You' on A2 to a fast lane. The tempo turns to be a bit more temperate on the B-side! Here, Andre Lodemann's version of 'Sense' teaches the original from Douglas Greed feat. Delhia de France a delight that one would more or less localize on the house-parquet. Where B1 stops, B2 to continues. Patrick Chardronnet dubs himself brilliantly through 'Give A Little Slap To Your Soul"- making the dread-locks of author Ruede Hagelstein sprout in buzz.

'Flaming Passing' is a great follow up from HARTMUT KISS' latest Definition Records release 'Water Games'. This time he invited again great Artists to remix his track. JOHANNES HEIL (Cocoon, Kanzleramt, Starkstrom) creates a real after hour bomb which will hit the case of all cocoon heads. GUY J (Bedrock Records) stays not behind the track and delivers a melodic hymn which rounds the EP up. Overall a very strong EP from Hartmut Kiss which makes us very exciting for his new upcoming Album.

Since he released with 'OR' one of the best albums of 2011, Kangding Ray was on our list for a future cooperation. We just needed to wait for the right track for him to remix. That came in the form of Albert Van Abbe's demo for Curle. On his own label No Comment he had previously also worked with Conforce and Convextion - next to Gerald Donald (!), Sleeparchive and Abdulla Rashim. This is however Albert's first release outside of No Comment. The Sugar Lobby Series counts three numbered tracks. 9191 is definitely peaktime stuff, 9090 is deeper but Kangding Ray turns that one into a dark monster too. 9390 concludes the EP with atmospheric offbeats, to cool you down again.

Marbled coloured vinyl limited to the first pressing!

Many friends of "Echtzeit" appreciated his "cl versions 1 - 4" of the
sixth melted recordings release, so some of them did their own
interpretations of one of the themes. These 10 tracks come on two
releases: this "part 1" and forthcoming a "part 2". On this "part 1" we
have got "meridian six", an unknown project with a light, warm and melodic
but also rhythmic electro sound. "Ka.pe" is into variated resonance drums
in interaction with the dub sound. It's the first time that label owner
and manager "ka.pe" releases on melted recordings. Melted recordings known
artist "kryptic universe" made a crystal/metallic bright dub techno track.
Sector's version is detroidish with a fast percussive rhythmic sound.
Madera's redub II is very soft, deep and dub techno and more slowly than
other versions. And finally "Aerror" performes an experimental staccato
with a broken beat, an interpretation called "real time edit". Watch out
for "part 2"!

Æternum Music - New Label form Paris brings us superb reduced house tunes!!

We finally come to the conclusion of Felix Bernhardt's Durch Und Durch album series
with this last package including the coloured Vinyl, the full length CD and the
cover to fit in all of the releases. The green Vinyl contains four brand new tracks while the CD
features some of the Vinyl tracks, but also has again six more different tracks and an alternate
mix of Sequenz Drive (Vinyl version was released on ).

Felix reinforces his already well earned status in the electronic music world and shows once again,
that he has no limit in ideas or energy for new tunes and peak time burners !
No wonder that lots of the big players use his tracks to great success in their sets and with his
always freaky and mind-blowing sounds and arrangements he's always a sure floorfiller.

The album shows once more the versatility and enthusiasm of the young guy from the deep
forests of the german Westerwald and will surely not be his last big blast to the outside world !

In the beginning there was the funk. A magical power source of unknown origin. Myth upholds that Michal Ho
once showered his limbs in this fountain of creativity, and thus earned him his fantastic powers. A more
traditional accounting would perhaps uphold that Michal Ho was initiated to electronic club music by the likes of
Photek and Moritz von Oswald. His bass-bouncy and sampladelic techno style certainly has earned him a
community of fans across the globe. And his quirky collaborations with Samim have positioned him comfortably in
the hall of fame of Swiss electronic music heroes. He is, as Resident Advisor once tagged him, "not your average
minimal techno guy". Returning from his 2011 album "A Minute for Everyone" for Jay Haze's Tuning Spork label,
Mr. Ho has produced a downright slammer for Zurich imprint Nice Try Records. The somewhat ironically titled
"Don't Rush" is a bass-driven hypnotic monster, topped by jumbling vocals. Contexterrior boss and long-time
musical friend Jay Haze delivers a remix that offers a likewise punchy version of this minimal funk gem. On the
flip side, Michal grows into the sampler kid he was and always will be. On and on. Yeah, we're mesmerized.

An outstanding highlight in this year's late summer is presented by the stars of the Berlin Label Supdub. For this year's first time the DJ Duo Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner (also well known as Alfred Heinrichs & Sascha Braemer) is producing together again. Resulting in the EP Sad Sunday, they created a true appetizer for their upcoming album. However this is not all to the new EP. In addition to Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner's new song, Dan Caster & Sascha Braemer as well as René Bourgeois & Andy Kohlmann created their very own interpretation of this marvellous Sunday after hour feeling disguised in a song. Their work will also be found on the new EP. The new song creation Sad Sunday has already been successfully performed by the Duo on various gigs. Thus, the idea developed to eternalize the track(s) respectively as original(s) together on an own disk. Listening to this good piece of music, the intention of the creators will soon be crystal clear - to transfer the well known feeling that arouses after the party stops and you slowly come back down to earth, realizing that you left the wonderful party dreamland behind and are now heading back towards your daily routine. Furthermore the track tries to foment the desire for the next weekend by being endowed with deep and exhaustive vocals. The Sad Sunday EP is implementing its theme on all levels, providing a formidable sound for a frolic sound pleasure.
