3LP, 2CD + 27 Track Mp3 review on Acid Jesus, the first of many collaborations between Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. Including 3 (+1 more on Mp3) unreleased tracks! Situated in Germany's then blistering techno scene and especially a mirror of Frankfurt at the time (and it´s holy label trinity of Playhouse, Klang and Ongaku), Flashbacks are also a feedback loop to what was happening in the UK and the USA. Flügel and Wuttke succeeded with their own and unique take on it, that owned as much to Underground Resistance and the Belleville Three as it did to Sven Väth and Andrew Weatherall.

Joey Anderson, Markus Suckut & Wa Wu We remixes! Following the warm reception of The Dance 2xLP Album + live CD recording last year, Kontra-Musik now presents The Dance Remixed 1 & 2. The Dance is a rare and precious project for Kontra-Musik, run by label boss Ulf Eriksson and Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue). The two friends have been touring the world together for quite some time now - Sebastian with his synths and machines and Ulf with his bursting record bag. It's the fusion that makes The Dance such a great experience; the fusion of different techniques and temperaments. Every performance is unique, building upon the connection between Sebastian's live improvisations, Ulf's simultaneous selection and the moving bodies on the dancefloor. Because ultimately, it's The Dance that really matters: the sacred link between the hands of the few with the feet of the many. The hyper-hypnotic beats and melodies of Sebastian Mullaert's haven't just captured the minds and feet of those who have entered The Dance, they've also inspired many fellow artists. On The Dance Remixed 1 & 2, Kontra-Musik and Ulf Eriksson has decided to present a few impressive and diverse interpretations of Sebastian's work, as well as a couple of re-arrangements by Sebastian himself as Wa Wu We. The Dance Remixed 1 features an amazing Joey Anderson track that sounds like Vangelis on a jackin' acid trip, as well as a sinister Markus Suckut remix that brings his own no-nonsense techno label SCKT to mind, but still manages to retain the entrancing qualities of the original track. You'll also find two exquisitely stripped back versions from Wa Wu We, focusing on the bare necessities without losing an inch of the musicality and magnetism of the original tracks. The Dance Remixed 2 features remixes from Efdemin, Voices From the Lake, Ulwhednar & Wa Wu We. It will be released in November.

In their fifth release, DC label Partial Magic welcomes four friends and producers from the Knoxville, Tennessee based collective TEKNOX. Alex Falk opens the record with an upbeat slammer, looping cocky vocal samples over brash, noisy textures sure to please those familiar with his sound. Second on the A side, Saint Thomas LeDoux follows with an introspective track perfect for building or releasing dancefloor tension. On the B side, Nikki Nair brings back the raunch with a cheeky breaks-and-bleeps acid track. The mysterious Donnie Tempo has been producing house music for over twenty years. His first release as Donnie Tempo was back in 2001 on Larry Heard's Alleviated Records, demonstrating his old school acid inspired productions. Donnie Tempo unleashes the Systems On EP due for release in September on MAMSW. The EP drops two previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1989-91 and one new production TCB, that shows that the original Chicago house sound still runs deep. Finally, Donnie has found a new home to release the uncharted authentic house jamz that he's created. Stay tuned...

On this new split EP, we welcome two knights of the european electro scene. On the A side, the irish man DeFeKT, who already released several bombs on Earwiggle, Solar One Music or Newflesh. On the B side, the french killer Maelstrom, who shows us his darkest face here, after some strong releases on RAAR, Zone or Cititrax. One EP, two buddies, four heavy tracks for the bangers.

Los Angeles based Natan H and Malta based artist Owen Jay return as Gauss with their first EP of 2017. Entitled Resonator it offers more deep music with an electronic soul and is their fifth EP for their cultured label Gauss Ltd. The title track opens things up with a crunchy and impactful mix of weighty dub drums and spangled techno chords. It's a heavy track that builds in momentum and is sure to mangle minds with its skewed stabs and wiry electronics. Shifted is a more fierce techno track with urgency in the kicks and a sense of anger in the coarse little snare explosions. More gurgling synths add weight and this one is a real stomper as a result. Cutting ever more loose, Odyssey is a mix of IDM sound design, soulful synth smears and percolating electro tinged drums that are slick and futuristic. Least Squares completes this techno picture with spitting hits and claps, underwater chords and acidic sonar pulses that soothe the mind. This is an expansive EP that marks an exciting evolution in Gauss's sound.

LL321 is a prolific music producer. From atmospheric electro tunes, to rough acid techno tunnel, and sometimes through experimental IDM tracks, he always gives a personal and pelicular touch to his music. Let's say his soul is constantly beside the notes. After a first EP released by Activities Rec in 2015, "Coincidentia Oppositorum", he's back with 4 brand new pieces recorded with an original touch, combining the past, the present and the future... VIKTOR KALIMA unknown Finnish producer, debuts on Infidel Bodies with an LP with 7 original EBM-electro/acid cuts enhanced by remixes of inimitable Violet Poison and the young French Verset Zero.
Neurotic EBM/electro synth sound mixed with intense Techno/Acid loops and a peak of readapted synth-wave.
A wide range of influences is included in "Club Muscle" that make it resolute and punchy.

Body Music Album Teaser is produced by a man who needs little introduction. Thomas P. Heckmann has flexed his prowess across all shades of electronic music, but it's his contributions to EBM-techno, acid, industrial, and experimental that has earned him his notoriety.

Heckmann has utilised 30 years worth of acquired knowledge to create a hard-hitting album and teaser which bears all the grit he is known for - harmonising analogue and digital wares to create an utterly immersive 14 track album. This 3 track teaser gives you a taste of what is to come.

Already moving forward towards the 5th addition to their catalog within barely one year of existence. The Rotterdam-based Self Reflektion imprint continues to expand their crew presenting a four-track sampler with music from the likes of Logotech (Manifesto/IT), Hiroaki Iizuka (THEM/JP), Remco Beekwilder (Self Reflektion/NL) and Lenson (Paling Trax/NL) - each showing their own perspective in techno music.

From the trippy hypnotic 'The 6th Door' to the overwhelming 'The Circle' on the a-side, and from the straight banging 'Fraud' to the "destroy everything" attitude on 'Envy Cross', this release is just a small example of what is yet to come from this young label.

M-Twelve is a new collaboration between Tortured and Electrix label owner, Billy Nasty and Nick Dunton of Surface Records, 65D Mavericks fame and more recently, Poverty is Violence label.
Taking their name, M-Twelve, from the iconic Fred Perry T-shirt, the pair decided to combine forces based on a love of techno and electro, their strong friendship and many late night conversations in the back rooms of various nightclubs. They started recording together last year and the 'Apocalypse in Paradise EP' is the first signs of their monthly meetings at what's been dubbed, 'Dunton Abbey Studios'.
The EP features their two original cuts of beautifully crafted emotional electro, the warm and glittering 'All The Things' and 'Time Spent' with it's deep narrative and tough machine groove. In addition, remixes of 'Time Spent' come from Sync 24 (Scand / Cultivated Electronics) who delivers an energetically fuelled reworking and Electro veterans, Transparent Sound with a stripped and stomping acidic version.
Billy and Nick have also just started work on remixes for tracks by London Modular Alliance and Mr Velcro Fastener, so expect to hear more of their M-Twelve work over the coming months.

Madeira-born Robert S makes his Konstruktiv debut after appearances on Sleaze, Arts, Planet Rhythm and his own Robert Limited imprint.

Moderna is straight shooting techno, hard-hitting with hints of rolling funk and a bleak contrast to the sun-drenched Portuguese setting that saw its inception.

The synth stabs of EP opener Moderna steadily rise and open up, driving the track forward while low-slung drums keep the beat in check. Label-boss Rekord 61 drops in on A2 with his remix of the title-track. The original stabs take an aerial backseat and a compact beat powers through vapor and wear.

Trilha Acida sets things straight from the first second on the flip. A threatening acid line pummels the listener with mechanical consistency while a startling chord rehearses a monosyllabic monologue. Black Jocker, the fourth and final cut closes on a dystopian note, with austere drums and a dark souvenir triggering arpeggiator.

Terminal Operations is back with their 4th release after dropping records including artists like Ekman, Fallbeil & Spaceinvasion. For this one label co-founder Kuno delivers his first ever solo EP.

The title - 079 is dedicated to the crew he started to create his own style with, hailing from south west germany. With 4 tracks ranging somewhere between thick beats, serrated acid and unruly noises, Kuno defines his own sound.

The 6th release from Polybius Trax is the second one from the series "Split Project" and, as usual, we have 1 artist for side.
On the A side you'll find "Feel The Head" from Posthuman, who run I Love Acid, one of the best acid house labels right now, and who brings us a bomb of neo-jacking in the way of Paranoid London.

On the B side we have "Get Up" from The Model, Romanian producer and head honcho of the label Adult Centre, who makes a perfect bass-house track with heavy bass and female vocals that give to the song a nice hedonistic touch. Both tracks are perfect for the dancefloor.

Medellín based bastard Verraco, strikes back with three eclectic and murderer cuts. Brutal electro and techno poisoned with synthwave jabs to hijack putrid dancefloors.

Astray is the Sublabel of Away, Berlin.

Berlin's party series and the eponymous vinyl label celebrate the launch of its sublabel ASTRAY with the 'Road Force EP' by Discrete Circuit. While AWAY with previous contributions from Joe Claussell, Mr. Ties, and Move D leans more to the housier side of things, ASTRAY will take a different path by taking some darker, techno-centered steps. Following the idea only to release productions by both label founders, Discrete Circuit and H4L, as well as unique collaborations which either of them will form with outside artists, ASTRAY's second EP will premiere the joint studio work of Discrete Circuit and DJ/producer Blind Observatory. EP INFO After releasing on labels such as DVS1's Mistress Recordings, Mark Broom's label Beard Manand Darko Esser's Wolfskuil Records, Discrete Circuit's new EP provides four progressivetracks mirroring his interest in a steadily growing techno narrative as well as mind manipulating onomatopoeia. On the A-side he's evolving his floor-aimed capabilities in two different ways: Starting with subtly quoting the infamous Motor City, the title track's on-edge techno design quickly accumulates into some kind of hounding; not knowing if you're the hunted or the hunter. 'Stress Resultant' increases the pace, whereby the restless vibe is contrasted by melodic synth patterns embodying a sort of playful corrective. The flip side introduces Discrete Circuit's experimental facet: 'Controlled Error' exhibits the dialogue between harmony and chaos in which shrieking, yet claustrophobic shades play hide-and-seek ultimately unfolding a gloomy funk, while the EP's last 'Circuitry' is completely carried by shape-shifting, pulsing soundscapes.

The dirtiest record that has released Discos Nutabe! "Vistante' is the new sound spectrum from ELO, an artist born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and based in Bogotá, Colombia.

ELO has decided to raise the sound bet of Nutabe and offer a release that brings acid and techno elements combined with housey nuances. This is a product of his new life perceptions since his arrival to Colombia. It's an experiment for the dance floor, and his point of view of rude and disorganized house music. Or as he says Rough On The Edges'.

From "Trans", through "Generación' to Devolución', is a new journey that goes from deep to frenetic, from calm to turbulent ... This is the music of "Visitante'. HOT!

Gabba and acid hardcore:) Oldschool !!!

Following 11 hotly tipped EP's, Format now delivers its first compilation release, packed to the brim with bomb cuts from both veterans as new faces. This first Format compilation is a prime example of the label's signature sound. Featuring an impressive variety of musical perspectives, it's a mint snapshot of Format's ever adventurous view on techno.

Format lays down an impressive array of minimal-tinged and powerful dance floor techno laced with depth and atmosphere. There's quite a lot to enjoy here to say the least; a very special appearance is made by legendary NY-producer Mike Parker, whose off-beat 'Necklace Dancer' perfectly reflects Format's penchant for abstract techno. It nestles well among chunky four-to-the-floor material from various trusted label associates: ROD delivers a raw house-flavored banger on 'Acine', while TWR72's 'EXP19' explores techno's darker territories. Label curator, Juan Sanchez, also steps up to the game with 'Warthog', a highoctane piece of fiery techno that captures the man's highly anticipated sound. Topping off, new label signees such as Mark Groot and Optics deliver intense cuts that already make us look forward to more of their studio output.

Format V.A. will be released on two separate vinyl releases, followed by a digital release featuring all nine tracks. The first 200 vinyl releases will be made available in transparent vinyl. The release features artwork by DEFRAME, and is based on the refraction of light. It is meant to represent the illusion of a tiny hypnotic multiverse, where each plane exists in a different time and space.

UK producers Sween and Dawl deviate from their usual homebase of their own Tone Dropout label to deliver a solid 4 track EP on Berlin based Klasse Wrecks. Classic electro influences mix with breakbeat flavours to produce a fantastic and energetic collection of tracks. Part Sci-Fi terror, part Alien-invasion...all good!

Stunning hardware techno jams by ANNANAN and TV.OUT on the new platform MACHINE JAZZ!

With its tenth DMT release, Philippe Petit drops Energovill, a big room techno bomb driven by a repetitive synth pad and a dreamy distorted saxophone line that will leave nobody indifferent. Philippe then strips down the track even more to deliver a dub oriented, beat-heavy version of the track. On the other side, UBX127, from the Figure stable, is on remix duties: he takes the key elements from Philippe's versions and turns the title track into an unforgiving minimal techno attack. Philippe closes the EP and reworks Energovill once again, this time into a melodic, atmospheric and dreamy beatless version.

One track, four versions, take your pick!

* Loicc, real name Julian Boggs, is a young upcoming producer and musician from Sydney, Australia. Born and raised in Armidale, Loïcc was quick to engulf himself within the Sydney band scene having already become a sought after
percussionist and recording engineer. Loicc's seamless entrance into the club scene has been impressive and is already beginning to turn heads. His debut effort as an electronic producer with CT006 has seen him apply both the intricate and confronting drum work he is known for to conjure four unique techno jams.

* Loicc's debut EP for Cult Trip is lead by grimy tech gem 'Sullen Room' which drudges along steadily, revealing subtle acid undertones afterwards being met with DJ tool 'Infinite Cruise'. On the flip, moods shift with the drones of the slow burner 'Der Nacht'. The release is rounded off with title track 'Get Myself To It'.
