Since making his debut in 2008, Bulgarian talent Valeri Ivanov, aka Timmo, has swiftly become a name of note within the current techno landscape following with a string of releases via some of the biggest labels in the scene, from Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and of course Monika Kruse’s Terminal M imprint. Having emerged as a core figure for the label following his collaboration ‘Violet’ with Kruse back in May, and leading straight on from his ‘Starlight’ EP which featured three tracks from the extensive body of work in early June, the imprint will now welcome the arrival of his eleven-track LP ‘Starlight’, featuring a combination of club-focused tracks alongside more emotive soundscapes. “’Starlight’ is my debut album, and I’m very happy it’s going to be out on Monika Kruse’s Terminal M. It took me more than a year to finish and create it as an experience, the way I felt it should be. Starting with more melodic tracks, going through more energetic and electric ones and finishing off with some acid. All 11 songs have been recorded in my home studio in Sofia, using a variety of synths and modules, some dating back to the early 80s like the Roland Juno 60, and some being brand new or improved versions of classic synthesizers such as the Sequential Prophet 6.” - Timmo Opening via the ominous ‘Leaving Earth’ and flowing straight into the action via the acid laced ‘New Beginning’, the eleven- track project swiftly takes its form as a balance of driving, uncompromising productions accented by subtle interludes and moments of space. Take for example the bubbling ‘Solar’ and the warping ‘Belle Epoque’, which keep the focus on oscillating synths and regimented percussion, whilst title cut ‘Starlight’ takes control and ups the energy via soaring lead synths and frenzied electrics. Next up, ‘Sonic Voyage’ reveals yet another twisting journey as Timmo merges ever-evolving leads with restrained vocal snippets, whilst ‘Vortex’ and ‘Spacefreaks’ add further energy via a medley of hefty kicks and menacing bass patterns throughout. Entering into the final three cuts, ‘Rhythm X’ brings forth further infectious 303-lines, tripped out vocal hooks and slick hats to head further into the peak time, whilst the darker ‘Connect’ throws its hat into the mix via a combination of commanding female vocals and choppy bass licks, before arriving at closing track ‘Interspace’ which lowers the tempo and switches the emphasis towards bright synth melodies and calming breaks featuring rich soundscapes to punctuate the project in emphatic fashion. Channeling main room sonics whilst intertwining rich melodies and softer tones throughout, ‘Starlight’ sees the unveiling of Timmo’s most complete body of work as he continues his ascent as one of his genres leading talents via the ever-impressing Terminal M.

Granary 12 kick off their run of self titled releases with G12-01. 'Diga' starts things off on the A-side with tribal drums and repetitive vocals that culminates in the duos usual sound. The A2 track echoes these sounds again, with a nod back to Chicago in machine jam, 'Brasserrie'. On the flip 'Acid Freq' shows off the boys' heavier side. An all out 130bpm techno joint with acid synth workouts and menacing transitions. 300 copies. Released January 2020.

Filthy electro and acid on this new release on Klasse Wrecks' sub-label Zodiac 44! A 'as nasty as it wants to be' four tracker from new producer Ludgate Squatter, the 8th in the labels 12 release only schedule (one for each sign of the Zodiac dummy). ZCANC closely adheres to the labels 'outsider' sound, distorted drums and an atmosphere so dark, demented and paranoid you start to worry a little for the artist after listening to the music. Little is known about Ludgate Squatter and maybe thats for the best, there's an evil genius out there somewhere armed with a broken 707 and he's taking no prisoners. Recommended!!

With a steady stream of releases from both the usual suspects aswell as young artists, Planet Rhythm continues to expand their catalog. Politics Of Greed EP features a selection of artists currently involved with the label. Debutants Responder and ARKVS team up with the label's rising stars Yan Cook and TWR72 for a strong solid techno four-tracker.

Berlin-based Palms Trax continues adding to his run of quality efforts with the forthcoming release of his High Point On Low Ground EP: impressive effort number two for the Dekmantel imprint.
Serving up three retro-futuristic killers, Donaldson parades his ability to touch on the many different corners of contemporary house music, whilst delivering heavyweight dancefloor standards. The title track blazes a beaten-up vocal snippet over stanked-out synths, stretched to a breaking point across a low-riding bass line. A stabbing Moroder-esque bass line dominates 'Cloud City', whilst 'Paws' equals pure and raw broken-beat bliss with a pinch of acid.

Monnom Black marks its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label's modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint! Essential Selection!

In our never ending quest to keep it real, funky & freaky we present to you our newest venture: Sublimate Records. Presenting quality music has always been at the forefront of what we do, so it was only natural that we get into the rekkid business. A 4 track various EP with a lil bit of something for everyone, these songs reflect what a Sublimate might sound like . First up is another dancefloor beater by family friend Love Letters in his signature vocal cut up style. Next up a live jam by Russell E.L. Butler & Indy Nyles resulting in some melanin heavy electro heat. Liquid Asset continues to deliver excellent work with a warm acid drenched bubbler. Finally track-master Ali Berger pulled Turtle Bugg in his studio for a house beat and live take of THC induced shit talkin.

2019 marks 35 years since DJ Pierre started DJing and began laying the groundwork forwhat would become Acid House. His new, seven-part series of 35 remixes of Phuture’s ‘Acid Track’ is a celebration Pierre’s first monumental release and the spark for a new genre that changed dance music forever.
After a first volume staring the likes of KiNK, Bloody Mary and Paco Osuna comes part two, again on limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring heavyweight remixes from Carl Cox, Luciano, Anfisa Letyago, Lorenzo Cheng and Najel Monteiro.

Intec label boss, RESISTANCE Ibiza resident and long-time dance music titan Carl Cox is as in demand now as he ever was. His spin on ‘Acid Track’ is one that teases and pleases with big builds and hard hitting drums. The acid line is paired right back then grows throughout until taking over and blowing the roof off any club.

Swiss-Chilean minimal master Luciano brings the sort of elongated intrigue you would expect of the Cadenza founder. His dubby version builds the pressure with sci-fi pads swirling round the drums while a manic but soft-edged acid line freely evolves and takes you on a trip deep into the dead of night.

Siberian born, Napoli based fast rising star Anfisa Letyago has made her mark on Nervous this year and here offers a no nonsense, pounding acid techno banger with mind melting vocal riffs that loop you into a frenzy. Dutchman Lorenzo Cheng is another one on the rise and his contribution is a heavy hitting weapon with stomping drums and frantic acid blistering its way through the grooves, while last of all is Rotterdam new school talent Najel Monteiro with a fat, dubwise remix that allows the ripping 303 centre stage.

This is another fresh package that precedes later volumes featuring some of the biggest names from dance music past, present and future.

Liquid Asset is the hardware techno project of Alene Marie, a Philadelphia-born,North Carolina-based producer with releases on New York Trax, Summer Isle, Primitive Languages, Jacktone, Acid Etch and now Schmer. A self-described nerd who started building electronics in 2010, she brings a scrappy, DIY sensibility honed in the noise / hardcore scene and hacker-spaces of Philly. Her punchy, loop-based and heavily rave-oriented mutations of classic dance cannon sounds, beamed out of a self-built rig of modified 303s, 909s, and 808s, have earned enthusiastic support from North American dance music underground institutions including Bossa Nova Civic Club, Hot Mass, and Sustain-Release.

DJ Pierre’s carefully curated series of Acid Track Remixes continues with another stellar line up of legends old and new, including K’ Alexi Shelby, Posthuman, Lauren Flax, Acidulant and 30303.

Lab Personnel is a very intriguing collaboration between a number of producers hailing from Croatia. Members include Zarkoff (member of Sumerian Fleet), Neon Lies, ikonal many more (total eight members). The tracks were recorded during Synth Lab 4 improvisational sessions in Pisak in 2017. The album is a dense and stormy affair overall with mesmerizing and dark synths. The styles presented drift between genres including acid techno, electro, EBM, and other hybrids. All instrumental, the LP is a brooding journey into diverse techno soundscapes with eight strong tracks that will not disappoint.

Amp Envelope is the stage name of Leo JM, Argentine producer of electronic music underground spirit. Their mixtures,
tracks and musical tastes run through different styles among which stand out techno, acid, electro and old school
experimental elements. Use only hardware synthesizers to produce and recorded using a DAW that runs under the
Linux operating system.

KID RIOT is the new alternative project of Juan Benedetti; a Dj with more than 20 years of experience in Argentina's Techno scene. Through that new alter-ego, John Benedetti aka KID RIOT has released his tracks in the most importants labels of his country, such as Subsequent, Mutok, Concepto Hipnótico, and more...In 2016, Kid Riot also just released an album on Labrynth (USA) and is working on forthcoming colaborations for Panel Trax (HU).

Selvamancer proudly presents its first release by Finnish producer Boneless One. The Barcelona-based label with Dutch roots is aiming to release pounding dancefloor mantras. Selvamancer is heavily influenced by mysticism as well as futurism, trying desperately to maintain its balance on a psychedelic tightrope throughout the multiverse. Its first release results in an exciting melting pot of vintage synthesizer jams and modern acid bleeps, the perfect playground of Helsinki based Boneless One. After releasing on Snuff Trax and Tabernacle Records sublabel Ride The Gyroscope he joins the Selvamancer family and cooks up four tracks of acid, rave, distorted techno and industrial-tinged dancefloor burners on his Woofers EP.

The masters for this EP were long lost. These recordings have been made by Ron Wells using a high end LINN cartridge, restored digitally (clicks, noise, rumble) using Izotope RX by Robin at Music Preservation Society and Remastered by Subvert Central Mastering by Bob Macc.

Cryovac Recordings is a collection of artists with a personal style that bleeds through their work. Cryovac artists have a relentless energy and passion for the music called techno. Rebecca Goldberg twists the 303 around a relentless 4/4 groove that evolves tweaks and pops into a sonic neurosis. Her yin yang approach applies a smooth steady delivery moving parallel to a raucous funk. The collaborative effort of Andy Garcia and Mike Kretsch produced a techno with moody rises and falls, stark kicks, and eerie effects held together with heroic energy. Toms and knocks, digital barks and farts, random clicks and ticks all fall into a galloping composition.

After years of terrorizing the Polish underground scene Syntetyk is kicking off with their first release made by their partner in crime – Dyktando. With his debut EP Dyktando brings you the story of Warsaw night life covered with a thick fog of paranoia.

Detroit imprint My Baby returns with its third musical offering, a split release from two Motor City heavyweights, in the form of Rex Sepulveda and Acid Pimp.
This fledgling vinyl only label has got off to a superb start showcasing music from Detroit locals on its first two stellar Eps. With a focus on the underground sound of the city it resonates with global fans of quality house and techno and continues to do so here with four outstanding new tracks.
First up is Acid Pimp, a DJ & producer who has been an integral part of Detroit’s music scene since the early 90s. His distinct sound saw him release a string of classic twelves on the Cheshire imprint, whilst his DJing took him from the warehouse parties of the city to international clubs like Tresor. He founded the ‘Friction Detroit’ night in his home town, hosting the likes of Ben Sims, Regis and Chris Liebing, and he co-founded the M-Nus sub label D- Records with Richie Hawtin and two other friends. The first of his two offerings is the superb ‘Re-Ak-O-Pan’, seven minutes of intense, industrial tinged techno with taut drums working alongside panning synths and static machine noise to superb effect. This is complemented by the looped excellence of ‘Lupe 09’, a rolling groove that is sure to lock in any dancefloor.
The flipside sees another of Michigan’s sons in the shape of Rex Sepulveda. Rex has a musical history dating back to 90s, he was one of the aforementioned friends that launched D-Records with Acid Pimp and Richie Hawtin and has released original and remix material on a number of imprints. His first cut here is ‘Rex presents Dvda’ a deep, brooding affair populated by rubbery, acidic synths and razor-sharp percussion. This is a pure early-hours number that is sure to twist up the floor wherever it’s dropped. Closing the package we have ‘Rexie’s Orgasm’ a spacious, and understated track that perfectly captures the echoing sounds of a cavernous warehouse space.
This is a sterling package of quality underground sounds from the city that sparked the fire.

Dutch Techno master Orlando Voorn has opened up his archive for the second essential instalment of an ongoing artist focused series brought to you by new imprint Above Board Projects. The compilation will be spread across 2 double 12" volumes and will feature tracks from many of Voorn's pseudonyms including; Fix, Baruka, The Ghetto Brothers, Mute & many more. We are proud to introduce the first of a 2-part archival collection entitled 'Diligence'. Each track featured on the compilation has been carefully selected and programmed in conjunction with Orlando Voorn and the Above Board Projects team. Voorn has an extremely long and storied career in making music and is severely underrated as a producer in our humble opinion. His DJ skills are, of course, legendary, with him winning the prestigious DMC mixing championships in 1986 in his native Holland and making a career as one of the country's leading Hip-Hop DJ's. As a producer he has long been linked to numerous legendary producers and releases, counting labels such as Fragile, Metroplex and more as homes for his output. His association and collaborations with Detroit have been the stuff of legend since day one and some of the music contained within these compilations celebrate that while showcasing some of the more overlooked tracks from the man's more than extensive catalogue. Part 2 opens with the minimalistic bladerunner Techno of Voorn & Juan Atkins' Infiniti classic 'Game One', a true modern classic, also featured is the rolling, paranoia inducing late night groove of 'Dream World' from one of Voorn's more obscure projects Complex, all showcasing a wide variety of styles and sounds. Flawless selections from the early 90's sitting alongside later productions only go to show how diverse and talented an artist Voorn is and how fresh and vital his music still is today. An essential collection for any serious techno lover. All tracks fully licensed and remastered with the full permission of Orlando Voorn. Remastering and lacquers by Curvepusher. In the era of micro dosing, Squirrels On Film will provide you with a generous portion of the good stuff. Build your Acid House into an Acid Pleasure Fantasy Castle Extravaganza with the current selections from these various squirrels (on Acid). “Unless You Have Wings Like a Bat” will conjure the ghosts of rave past for the séance, and all your funky friends have been invited. The Warehouse has drum machines in the red, and skeletons in the closet, all wearing smiley face masks and handing you gel tabs you probably shouldn't take. A Squirrel you'll be hearing from more in the phuture, Chris Mitchell hits next with “trks.” The dystopian dance party is on tonight. There's no going back. You're too far gone. The walls only appear to be shaking and breathing heavily like they're dancing and you're standing still.
San Francisco's Sepehr jacks the tab further on “Servant's Taunt” like the Criminal Justice Act had never been passed. It could be Miami Bass or a field in England but it's a party, and everyone's eyes are perfectly dilated.

Bayview Acid Squirrels "Love Is The Slug" is pure phuture phantasy pleasuredome meltdown. You Will Never Be The Same.

Planet Rhythm continues the Various Artists series with a versatile 4-tracker containing tracks by Planet Rhythm regulars and a relative newcomer to the scene. The A-side features a deep groover by Yan Cook as well as an atmposheric track by promising act ALPI. The B-side is home to two tracks that lean more toward the harder and more repetitive part of the label's broad spectrum.

Eduardo De La Calle has been doing his thing since the early 2000s, but the last couple of years have seen him move into overdrive. Releases on Planet E, Hivern Discs, Nitsa Trax, Turbo Recordings, Gigolo and Darkroom Dubs to name just a few have shown he is both prolific and consistent, and this new four-track collection is just as compelling as his recent output.rnrnDistortion Theory III is a whirring hypnotic machine jam that melds shimmering synth snippets to mind-bending FX undulations and throbbing low end. Disorientating and wonky as hell, it's the sound of a funky computer malfunction somewhere in deep space.rnrnLight Tunnel continues the theme, coming across like the dying throes of space station spinning out of control due to excessive amounts of sub bass. It's a dizzying, disorientating ride.rnrnAcid Aaron C (Edit) wastes no time getting down to business with its gurgling, incessant 303 line present from the get-go. Shuffling percussion rubs up against heady female vocal lines and wonky detuned 8-bit synth blips, the undercurrent of the track swelling and calming seemingly at will. rnrnThe Dub Math takes things down a notch with hazy sounds and plodding sub bass combining with heavily reverbed vocal incantations which all combine to bring together the vibe referenced in the title.

Solid Tapes label and Ritmos Comunes nights boss Fabio Vinuesa delivers his first EP in Hooded Records. '4 Cuts' is a solid representation of Fabio's work and aesthetics: strong melodic sense, mastering of deepness and feelings, great production skills and stylistic eclecticism. Electro, techno, house and dreamy hardcore all have something to say in this record, making it a great tool and essential EP in any record bag.

EP number eight of the "10 Years De:tuned" series is centered around the 303 tinged acidic sound. This release kicks off with a new and innovative version of Humanoid's highly ranked and major influential classic acid house cut, followed by a proper rave peak time slammer courtesy of Mike Dred. The B-side brings Luke Vibert's grinding acid funk rhythm to the table, plus the squelchy "Strunkelpotz" produced by the cult duo Air Liquide, resulting in a broader spectrum of acid-referencing styles with the same brain-melting effect!

Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune) created all the graphic work. Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering and pressed on 180 gr vinyl. Stay tuned!
