The driving and tension loaded BANGO BANGER opens on the main side with it's shuffling bongos and hands-in-the-air-and-scream frequency shifting sounds !
This will surely rock big time and will leave no one unmoved and bored !
The second track and the opener of the flipside DRUG PIPE is another thrilling and funnily weird rocker that might be inspired by too much input to the maker

Herbert House music fans will not be disappointed by this clutch of rare tracks, available for a short time on vinyl. After such an overwhelming positive response to Matthew Herbert's recent return with the Wishmountain project 'Tesco', Accidental records have decided to release this limited run 12' featuring some of the highlights of the original project., including the classic 'Radio'.
Radio was first championed by Djs such as Sven Vath and Westbam as well as being a club classic for legendary clubs like Fuse in Belgium. The track blasted its way in to nightclubs around the world despite being made only from 8 sounds of a beaten up plastic radio. In many ways it made Matthew's name, as someone ready to bring real and challenging sounds to the largely synthetic soundscape of club music while being unafraid to make people dance at the same time.

"What you have here is a premium double dose of unreleased 70's soul music. Jerline & Friends were never heard of beyond the boundaries of home base in Chicago. After morphing into Royal Flush they managed to sell some units with the album Hot Spot, but still kept their thing outside the mainstream.
The original 'Joy Trip', released on the UK Street Soul label in 2010, is a sublime stepper, mirroring with its sensual string action classics such as Starvue's 'Body Fusion'. This 'Pt. 2' is a stompier cousin, rather urging than seducing the dance partner for a joined trip towards the bedroom.
'Tell Me' is a perfect partner in crime. It's a dramatic and pumping narrative about surviving the low points of a relationship. Lead singer Jerline Shelton attacks both tracks with clever vocal stylings, coming slightly from the left-field, but never losing the groove."

but with the added bonus of a completely unheard and brutal take on 'Keep Planning' from 1996...
Properly mastered for the first time by our very own techno luvvy Matt Colton - this is truly linear, hypnotic, low-fi machine funk. Back in the early days of Downwards only the Surgeon titles were mastered properly as O'Connor didn't think his own productions were worth it (having been transferred direct from tape)... Features the brand new Downwards printed jacket and two hand stamps.

To mark the label's 50th release Marc Houle gets right back to basics with two raw, stripped down future classics. What's more both vinyl cuts, 'Techno Vocals' and 'On I t' clock in at under six minutes meaning that this compact 12inch's sound and message is going to be coming through extra loud and clear. On 'Techno Vocals' (as with all Houle productions) each sound is perfectly realised, commanding its own space with metronomic discipline. The rigid drum patterns, analogue explosions, regimented snare rolls, laser guided effects and delayed bleeps interact with supreme efficiency, while the arrangement is mapped out with cool, calculated intent.
