Honda People's debut EP on ABUAUDIO is a journey through the artist's distinctive universe in house music. With a sound that defies easy categorisation, the Estonian producer blends intricate percussion, warped melodies, and otherworldly textures to create a sound that is both quirky and enchanting.

This EP is a 4-tracker.

The title track, This People follows a rumbling bassline with a mix of glitchy percussion and a jazz influenced piano hook. Please More Rain is a dance floor friendly thumper that weaves in soft vocals and delicate flute stabs.

The B side starts with Precious, which mixes sped up vocals with sped up samples and melds them into a gooey rubbery unit of space. Girlfriends Love Candles takes futuristic spin on dub influenced electronica.

isolée returns to Maeve with his second solo release following the success of 2017's "Mangroove EP". Spanning four tracks, "Candy Apple Red EP", shows different sides to the German artists signature micro sound. The A1, "mad marauder" leans on a big room feel while still possessing all the intricacies of production isolée has become known for over his distinguished career. The title track comes on the A2, "candy apple red", a jovial trot through a languid land of disco-house. The flip side starts with, "you are", a sub terrain deep house number with all the feels of an isolée cut. Rounding things off on the B2 is "Jordi", a darker trip into the dancefloor, perfect for the small hours.

Remastered and repress of the Skatekat, a Ska/Tribe funky experience bringing crazy speed breakbeats and medium garage kicks with a funky bassline underneath... Big !

Kniteforce Insanity is for the most extreme and ridiculous music we could possibly find. This is tongue in cheek, non genre, sample heavy, intensely insane music. It is not for the faint of heart...or hearing or...well...anyone, really. This EP from Dj Luna-C is made up of idiotic dubplates and experiments in foolishness, and is totally unsuitable for a vinyl release.

Meetsysteem's 2020 album Cr:GO get's the remix and rework treatment in 2022! The incredibly talented Nana Adjoa reworked L.I.W.W.W. (Love is What the World Wants). Her deft poeticism and a fierce sense of?musicianship turned the original dubby track into a beautiful triphop/indie rock pearl. She freely and poetically translated the orignal Dutch lyrics into English. Enabling the important message of L.I.W.W.W. to now reach a worldwide audience. On the flip-side Elias Mazian, the DJ/producer turned singer-songwriter, beautifully reworked Meetsysteem's nostalgic love song Sinaasappels. A beautiful minimalistic and dreamy take on the original that will be the perfect soundtrack for the spring to come. More Meetsysteem remixes to come in May 2022.

Nonetheless come forward with another sound lecture in Intelligent Downtempo Music, this time with an EP consisting of four cuts well balanced in between the dancefloor and a high fidelity sound installation.

Stepback Records next release sees the Moot Tapes and Made Magnetic boss Polytunnel making his debut for the Edinburgh based label.

Polytunnel goes deep into electro made for dance floors.

His style of melodic electro mixed with breakbeat influenced acid has seen his music gain acclaim from the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag, Inverted Audio, XLR8R and supported by the late great Andrew Weatherall on his much-missed NTS show, Musics Not for Everyone.

Previously released on labels including We’re Going Deep, Seventh Sign Recordings and Childsplay with support from the likes of Truncate, Dan Curtin, Placid, Vladimir Ivkovic, Marvel Dettmann, Ame and more.

Italian Producer and part of the r²π trio PRG/M lands on the label with a five track EP. With a mixture of deep and club orientated tracks the EP follows and refines the sonic direction of the label. In addition to four original tracks, Switzerland based producer Mod21 completes the release with an extended remix showing his signature sound.

With distorted arpeggiated synthesisers and cold metallic drum-machine patterns, William Wiffen from Yorkshire invites you to his sonic warzone. Höga Nord Rekords proudly presents RED (Rapid Ear Damage), a stripped and harsh take on postpunk, motorik and EBM. With haunting and reverbdrenched synthesizers, Wiffen’s new project sometimes resembles acts like Two Lone Swordsmen in their dirtiest moments.

RED is not a wholesome and pleasant experience. Heavily modified vocals, used more like an additional instrument, breaks through the distorted, hard, backbeat, contributing to the feeling of being trapped in a mental slit trench or bomb shelter: no light coming in – only sound. Set the controls for the heart of the void.

Dream Ticket is back with a barrage of sonic bliss from SHUT boss Ryan James Ford. His is a futuristic vocabulary transmitted from a quarter century ago and decoded tomorrow: incunabulated ambience, aphextual textures, reflectivised rhythms. This EP is for anyone whose heart is in the techno, IDM, jungle & environs of the early-to-mid-90s, but whose feet are planted firmly in the here and now, most likely in the middle of a fearless dancefloor. Rave on.

Hotly-tipped producer Son of Philip channels gloomy post-club psychedelia on new LP 'Plastic Borough'. Having previously caught the ear of tastemakers such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Overmono, Ben UFO, James Holden & Mixmag, Nottingham-born / London-based producer Son of Philip has been turning heads with his atmospheric and emotive tracks since 2021. An accomplished musician with a varied palette, his previous outings on labels such as Wigflex and Fever AM (run by Mor Elian and Rhyw), as well as his own imprint Bliss Print, have seen his sound span from weighty 2-step bangers to beautifully constructed ambient techno tracks.

Son of Philip (AKA Tom Smith) now releases 'Plastic Borough' via Nottingham's Running Circle Records. Throughout this heady and engaging record hypnotic, grainy textures and analogue warmth cast a heavy cloak over a sea of shifting sonics beneath. Beautifully melding fragmented synths against swirling clouds of particles, twisting and contorted sounds permeate the haze in an alluring and intoxicating blend.

Munich. 1994. A group buck current trends with a ground-breaking release. Tikitaka by Tamburá left aside the techno of the time to focus on a the lesser known styles of afrobeat and tribal music. The result was three tracks that sail and soar on a primal energy, three works that whisk listeners away to exotic lands of wooden wind instruments, ritualistic vocals and, even, bag pipe majesty. For twenty five years this record has been an unattainable mystery, until now that is. Kalahari Oyster Cult have lovingly restored all three of the trailblazing original tracks alongside two very special remixes. Melbourne’s Tornado Wallace adds new layers of intensity as he cuts and reshapes melodies and beats to set any floor alight with this visionary remake. Dazion offers a very different interpretation. Focusing on vocals, this new talent accentuates the shamanic-like chants of Tikitaka, using them as a base from which throbbing synth lines grow as new depths are explored. An EP every bit as daring in 2019 as it was in 1994.

Progressive mental oldschool hardfloor... Superb tunes, once again, from one of the rare Berlin Tribe label ! Artikal. Enjoy !

L's Sunrise Market is starry, glitchy and dubwise, with prowling-lion bass; Time Zone is more bare-bones and tumpin, with hissing echo and out percussion. On the flip, Memory Man inhales a lungful of Hashman and goes all monster-stomper, with slashing hi-hats and oiky bass; and Cloudface runs down his 303, with some rumbustious, farty-bottom acid.
A diverse, deeply entertaining EP; a warmly recommended first release on this label to watch keenly.

'EPM20 – EP 2’ turns the spotlight on electro. For this special EP, we’ve gathered brand new tracks by The Advent & Zein Ferreira, Carl Finlow, Detroit’s Filthiest and Modulator a.k.a. Freddie Fresh. As all good electro-heads will know, The Advent (Cisco Ferreira) is as renowned for electro as he is for techno. On ‘Strangeform’ he works alongside his son and rising talent, Zein to turn in pure electro-funk that’s blistering to the last beat. Another absolute master of the scene is Carl Finlow who brings deep bass notes, carefully crafted melody and his meticulous production skills to ‘Optogenetic’. Detroit’s Filthiest has been wowing listeners with his work for labels like Casa Voyager, Bass Agenda, Philthtrax and his own MCEC. His track ‘Werewolf’ is the electro monster the title suggests – dark and tough Detroit-electro book-ended with a playful vocal. The EP closes with the legendary, Freddie Fresh who after three decades is a genuine virtuoso. Under his Modulator guise he layers beautiful retro synth stylings and sci-fi atmospherics on ‘ProMars’. The third EP featuring four house tracks will follow in July, with the ‘EPM20’ compilation after the summer.

BOOGIE TIMES THE ALBUM – A four piece set of vinyl presented in an incredible gatefold sleeve displaying an artistic rendition of this legendary location, the detail is incredible and instantly will be familiar to anyone that frequented the store. You can see through the window the activity inside, then take a closer look… fold back the gatefold sleeve and you’re inside as you’re instantly transported back to the early 90’s, shopping at Boogie Times, hanging out with Winston Run Tings, Danny Breaks and all the Subbase Crew!

The Boogie Times label was the precursor and sister label to Suburban Base, and here we find some of the rarities and collectible that helped lay the foundation for not only Subbase but emerging genres that followed. Lovingly mastered and resorted 16 tracks, cut across 4 pieces of black vinyl in a format suitable for DJing. And including several alternate and unreleased versions of these classic early works.

This is a stunning collectible piece of rave history, even we are blown away with how great this album looks, it is probably the best packaged project we’ve ever released.

This is the second volume of the compendium of artists connected through their dark sounds called “Atlas of Penance”. Its main objective is showcasing the different explorations of occult aesthetics from around the world.

The EP opens the A side with a gloomy, feet-dragging, post-punk track by Hanging Freud, goes to a dream-like techno-ebm rave with Kenny Campbell and finishes this side with an industrial infused half tecnho/half electro track of Syndikat Kommando 98, a project by Viktor Lenis (Cute Heels, Modernista).

The B side is no less stronger, starting with a straight up techno banger by the prolific producer Drvg Cvltvre, moving on to a genre defying track filled with experimental elements fuelled with modular sythesis and harsh kicks by Black Potion, and ending the EP with an anxiety inducing dark ambient track by Dim Garden.

Enzo Siragusa and Alexkid's Kilimanjaro project first appeared on FUSE London in late 2013 and offered a refreshing exploration of house music informed by jungle's production style. This Summer the duo are set to reunite as they continue to join the dots between House and Jungle with the 'Kilimanjaro Sound EP', the latest installment of their much-hyped project.
'Kilimanjaro 2' is a remarkably simplistic yet brutally effective opener, which kicks the EP off in fine style, effortlessly fusing elements of house and jungle together. Trademark crisp jungle drums underpin an off kilter house beat while vocal wails and a pulsating jungle reese bassline shakes the track to its core.
On 'Kilimanjaro 3', while the deadly deep bass remains, the track develops along a techier-tangent. Enzo and Alexkid strip everything back to its ferocious bare bones with an engrossing four to the floor beat complemented by mechanical swirls of sound and yet more bone-shuddering bass and is exclusively available on vinyl only.
'Kilimanjaro 4' follows on another 4/4 trajectory but this time a 'hold it, now wait' Hip-Hop sample takes center stage. Supplemented by rich atmospherics and recurring blasts of bass 'Kilimanjaro 4' is another killer track made with superior standards of production quality.
On the 'Kilimanjaro Sound EP' it is clear that Enzo Siragusa and Alexkid have found a winning formula as they expertly fuse together the unmistakable guttural physicality of jungle with more delicate house sensibilities. ZamZam 95 is a link with the enigmatic French producer Hiss Is Bliss. We’ve been fans since the very first drop on their 777Hz label and these two sides drive straight to the heart of the dub techno galaxy.

Little is known about Hiss Is Bliss beyond the fact that they hail from France, are steeped in esotericism, and create tunes as masterfully grounded in roots reggae as they are in techno and related strands of electronic music. Their releases are utterly free of hype, beautifully crafted 10” vinyl plates that let the singers and tracks speak for themselves.

At the risk of being cheeky, “Nope” is absolute dub techno bliss. The 808 kick propels the track relentlessly forward, saturated washes of color streak the night sky, while syncopated hi hats and warm, soulful chords bring life- dare we say funk- to a style too often stiff and clinical, too in thrall to the past to truly step forward. Matching Hiss is Bliss in mystery, Ras Lys’ vocal brings a Dread perspective on music and the sometimes shady business of music, a grounded contrast to the deep inner space explored by the tune itself. The B-side version “Abbadia” splits musical atoms through the desk, focusing squarely on the stripped 4/4 elements and gloriously distorted pads that echo and cycle like tides in a darkly shimmering sea.

The latest on Warehouse Music comes courtesy of Joshua James: ‘Love To Do It’ which samples the iconic, pleasure-seeking vocals of American drag vocalist Roxy and The Ride Committee.

For the original mix, the London DJ gives Roxy’s ‘90s house lyrics an electro makeover, twisting around mangled samples, vibrant snares and bubbling slapback delays. Keeping true to the artist's wild vocal stylings and referencing the queer underground sound James has called home.

On the flip, label boss Mella Dee takes us back into four-four territory on the first of two remixes. The ‘Law & Disorder’ mix works James’ dialled-up modern sass into a hypnotic loop, rolling into the heart of the club via a deep house bassline.

Meanwhile, the 'Split Your Wig’ mix strips the track down to body-poppin’ 909s and swirling percussion, paying tribute to NYC club culture via drum machine.

Maceo Plex hasn't dropped an original on Drumcode since 2014 when the hugely popular 'Conjure Infinity' EP was released. Despite this, he's been a significant feature at DC events over the last year.
Sharing a tight relationship with Adam Beyer, the pair have laid down memorable B2B sets at Warehouse Project, Ultra Music Festival, and the Resistance opening party in Ibiza this summer, thus cementing their tight musical bond.

Produced in the early part of 2019, 'Destination Mars' marks his terrific return to Beyer's iconic label. The track is trademark Maceo, a master class in tension and release, characterized by a slick low-end bass hum that gathers steam as crunchy drum lines and breathy vocal accents combine effectively with the main vocal lead, a contribution from Josh Wink, no less.

... No surprise, it went down a storm when debuted at Time Warp's mammoth 25th-anniversary party in April and has been highlighting the Ellum boss' sets ever since.

The ever-reliable Raxon is charged with remix duties, stripping back the track's engine to focus on a central melody, chugging bassline, and hypnotizing vocal effects. Shall Ocin's re-rub is made for misty-eyed mornings as celestial pads result in a transcendental finale to bring it home.

Malmo Traxx returns with a compilation of early tracks crafted by Malmo's legendary NOS, featuring hardware jams discovered on old reel tapes and presumed-lost CD recordings assumed to have been lost for a long time. 303 hypnotic bass-lines, trance elements, punchy 909s, ambient, and futuristic electro. Barna mainstay oma totem is dishing out the cerebral and dubby like it’s nobody’s business. 3 tripped-out accelerators courtesy of the Oyster Cult debutant, complete with an OK EG rework for good measure.

No messing with this purveyor of reverb-drenched dynamics and fractal polyrhythm. But this time, rather than the inward contemplation of releases past, we get something a little more full-frontal.

Robust club gear rooted in ominous portent, opener ‘The Trick’ recalls the heyday of early 00s bass music. It’s tunnelling prog caught on a dark side flex. Then, in a coming together of kindred spirits, Melbourne hardware duo OK EG take it upon themselves to provide some introspection. Expect depth charge bass-weight primed for meditative moments.

‘Choreos’ finds the Hivern Discs affiliate at his deftest. Intricate and kaleidoscopic with careful attention to rhythmic intricacies, but never at the expense of dancefloor propulsion. The same could be said for the follow-up.

Equal parts driving and trance state-inducing, closing number ‘Mania’ has oma returning to the inky abyss from whence he came. Detailed, dubbed-out and quintessentially Kalahari.
