If credibility were currency, FAKE NAMES" wealth would be off the charts. Composed of Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Dag Nasty), Michael Hampton (S.O.A., Embrace), Dennis Lyxzén (Refused, INVSN, The International Noise Conspiracy), Johnny Temple (Girls Against Boys, Soulside) and the newest member Brendan Canty (Fugazi, Rites of Spring), the band is a veritable post-hardcore dream team. However instead of rehashing the past, Expendables is a reinvention that sees the band dialing back the distortion and leaning into the melodies. The result pairs their unparalleled pedigree with a pop sensibility that"s slightly unexpected and wholly satisfying. "For our last record 2019"s FAKE NAMESthe general influences were 70"s U.K. punk and power-pop; but it wound up with a little classic rock vibe as well, like the Vibrators meets Aerosmith. We never saw that coming!" , Baker explains. For Expendables the band enlisted producer Adam "Atom" Greenspan (IDLES, Yeah Yeah Yeahs). Baker explains, "The pop influences are a little more out front on this one and the production really helps it shine. It sounds more direct, more urgent." Expendables is the latest exchange in a musical conversation that spans four decades. Baker aptly refers to the lineup of FAKE NAMES as a "mutual admiration society" and says that once the five members got in the same room together, it felt as if they had already been in the band together for years.

In 2019 BC (Before Covid) Discharge frontman Jeff Janiak reached out to longtime friend and musician JP Parsons to assist on a new project. The pair wrote and recorded various ideas before reaching out to Amebix guitarist Stig.C.Miller who joined them in the midst of the global pandemic. The trio utilized this new creative climate of physical restriction and went on to set the foundations for their first album, via file sharing home recordings, which would be arranged and produced by Stig. It was several months later when he would call upon Nausea, Ministry and former Amebix drummer Roy Mayorga to complete the line up. Roy went onto record drums, mix and produce the band's debut album 'LET THEM EAT FAKE'.

In these unprecedented times of global restriction, fear and the everlasting lack of faith in the hierarchy 'False Fed' has cultivated a heavy sound that is drenched in melody, aggression and shrouded in darkness. It is not bound by genre, yet still offers subtle hints to the creators lineage.

Transparent green vinyl, limited to 300 copies. Comprised of individuals deeply rooted in the underground music scene, False Reality are a London-based hardcore band that formed in 2023. Renowned for their thrash infused, hardcore crossover sound and fiercely energetic performances they draw influences from bands such as Trapped Under Ice, Broken Teeth and Backtrack as well as early era Sepultura and even Deftones. Having recorded the debut EP 'Path of Self Destruct' with producer Steve Sears Jr (Gallows, TRC, Prowler, Conjurer), False Reality set out to prove why they stand apart, delivering a release that is in equal parts blistering as it is poetically cathartic. Lyrically delving into the complexities of life, exploring themes of betrayal, societal values, and tragedy. The first single released, 'Opposites React', is a groove-driven empowering track that features vocals from Jem of Aussie hardcore band SPEED, which has received support from Daniel P Carter and Alyx Holcombe on BBC Radio 1. Having initially been released digitally in April 2024, this is the first vinyl pressing of the EP, coming via Hassle Records. Limited to just 300 copies, this vinyl release marks a significant milestone for the band, as their reputation grows rapidly within the scene.

Fastbacks recorded July 9 & 10, 1985 in a famous basement in Pioneer Square, Seattle on Scott McCaughey's 4-track cassette Portastudio.

"Along with Black Flag and the Circle Jerks, Fear helped define the sound and style of L.A. hardcore. Even though they formed during the first wave of punk in 1977, they didn’t put out an album until five years later, titled The Record. They used their music to piss off everyone around them, and they achieved that goal with flying colors on this debut album. It remains a punk classic to this day and Record Collector’s Mark Rigby called it “probably the most exciting and impressive, one-dimensional, ill-mannered, distasteful, odious ‘hate’ record ever made.” The album only spawned one single, “I Love Livin in the City”, but includes many more gems, including “We Destroy the Family”, “Let’s Have a War”, and “Beef Boloney”. The Record is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on translucent magenta coloured vinyl."

music influential to the artist Keith Haring.
The art of Keith Haring is today one of the most recognisable of any visual artists of his generation,
defining 1980s New York during an intense period when downtown artists and musicians collaborated
like never before. Haring’s musical inspiration took in the punk/dance downtown sounds of clubs like
The Mudd Club, underground disco at Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage, as well the early days of hip-hop
and electro.
The album is released to coincide with the opening of the first major exhibition in the UK of Keith
Haring’s work at Tate Liverpool and which runs for the next six months.
Haring’s many friends included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Madonna, Fab Five Freddy,
William Burroughs, Jenny Holzer, Yoko Ono, Grace Jones, Larry Levan, Futura 2000.
If you were looking for a person to guide you through the wide variety of nightclub scenes of
downtown New York in the 1980s, then Keith Haring would have been your man.
This album comes in deluxe artwork and three formats – Double CD + 48-page book, a deluxe 3xLP +

Der Blitzstart, den das Sextett aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern im Herbst 2012 mit "Scheitern Und Verstehen" hinlegte, ist beispiellos für eine hiesige Punkband. Eine stetig wachsende Welle von Interesse und Anteilnahme brachte die Band von kleinsten Punkfanzines bis hin zu großen bürgerlichen Zeitungen und sogar Fernsehsendungen ins Gespräch. Die pragmatisch-bodenständige und zudem humorvolle Attitüde, mit der die Youngsters aus der Provinzhölle den rechtsreaktionären, fremdenfeindlichen und autoritären Zumutungen ihres Alltags entgegentreten, fasziniert. Wer so viel Polizei, Nazis und Staatsschutz gegen sich hat, dem wird die brennende Wut der eigenen Texte einfach besser abgekauft. Der berechtigte Erfolg des Albums brachte die Band auf ungewohntes mediales Parkett, sorgte für zahlreiche richtige und falsche neue Freunde - und schickte sie auf eine seitdem fast durchgehende Livetour durch immer größer werdende und schneller ausverkaufte Clubs und Hallen. Öffentliches Abbrennen an beiden Enden beschreibt das wohl besser als "growing up in public".

Fiddlehead wasn’t supposed to make a second record. But, if we’re being totally honest, they weren’t supposed to make their first record either. Formed in what singer Pat Flynn describes as “a deeply, deeply, laughably depressing part of my life,” Fiddlehead was born with modest intentions. Flynn and his then-roommate, guitarist Alex Dow, decided to work on some songs, and with Basement having just broken up, guitarist Alex Henery entered the fold. Drummer Shawn Costa and bassist Adam Gonsalves—who has since been replaced by Casey Nealon—linked up with them and, all together, they wrote what would become the Out Of The Bloom EP. Those five songs established what Fiddlehead would be, a band that merged elements of post-hardcore, post-punk, and classic ‘80s emo into something that felt distinctly theirs.

Between The Richness effectively picks up where Springtime & Blind left off, as Flynn dives headfirst into that same subject. But astute listeners will notice a major difference this time: Flynn is singing about himself. “These massive things happened in my life between the first record and this record. It just so happened that I ended up getting married, I had a child, and it was around the 10-year anniversary of my father’s passing. So what if I want to write another record about how I feel about the loss of my father? Will people be like, ‘Pick another topic, dude.’ So, the opening track is called ‘Grief Motif’ because it’s the idea that this is an eternal struggle that will never go away. Take it or leave it, but it will be part of this dude as long as he’s got a pen in the hand.”

The guitar riffs of Dow and Henery are their most anthemic and combustive yet, making songs like “The Years,” “Get My Mind Right,” and “Down University” not just serve as the backbone for Flynn’s personal ruminations, but empathetic, emotional musical stabs that hit the listener just as hard. Meanwhile, Costa and Nealon give the songs a propulsive heft, allowing a track like “Million Times” to dart into unexpected territories without ever feeling alien

Final Effort kommen aus Punkrock City Leipzig und haben mittlerweile über 15 Jahre auf dem Buckel, die sie seit jeher genutzt haben um ihren Sound, der sich irgendwo im Hardcore-Punk-Umfeld bewegt stetig weiterzuentwickeln und weiter zu verfeinern. Mit "Appetite" legt die vierköpfige Formation nun ihr Vinyldebüt vor - ein wundervoll dringliches Album, das mit seinen wütenden Texten und komplexen Songstrukturen packt wie lange nichts mehr. Ihr Sound vermengt Oldschool- und Newschool-Elemente, Screamo-Einflüsse, gibt sich rau und doch melodisch und ist tief durchdrungen von einer hochsympathischen DIY-Attitude. Bands wie die Gallows, Comeback Kid, Hope Conspiracy oder Unsane schießen zwar immer wieder mal vor"s geistige Auge, Final Effort haben sich aber unverhohlen ihre ganz eigene Schublade geschaffen in der mächtige Hooks auf fragile Song-Konstruktionen treffen, die von gemeinschaftlichen Shouts getragen und wüsten Ausbrüchen ein ums andere Mal niedergerissen werden. 10 herrlich energetische und emotionale Tracks mit melancholischem Unterbau, mit hoffnungsschwangerer Aura und verdammt mitreißendem Vibe!

Cardinal Fuzz and Little Cloud Records bring to you the new LP from a band we hold dear, Firefriend – ‘Decreation Facts’ – From São Paulo in Brazil and now close to two decades of creating and honing what has become their trademark, a heavy reverb, minimalistic slow-burn menace which sends chills down your bones. If you don't know Firefriend from somewhere along the last decade, you must cut a safe course through music. ‘Decreation’ is the undoing of creation, something destructive and primal and that Firefriend carry through on all the twelve songs written for this LP. Yury explained that the album "is a commentary on our 21st century, so violent and radical. We live in times of accelerated transformation. We wrote and recorded this album between the pandemic and WW3 – times of ground-breaking changes – and somehow that uneasy feeling got into our songs. Reality is the most crazy trip, isn it? And we are always trying to explore new territories: we want a new album to take you to new places, so we were chasing the sounds, structures and moods to make this a truly new album to match this wild new world’ ‘Decreation Facts’ is all this as they simply inject you with a liquid paranoia for their dark conjuring’s that is hugely dark and foreboding – Julia and Yury’s uber cool stoned and detached delivery creates a seriously dark menace with Julia’s delivery having echoes of Nico – all the while THAT claustrophobic reverb and tremolo encloses and swirls around the inside of your head and vibrates your inner core. This is HEAVY shit. Decreation Facts’ is an unsettling sonic fuck you to those that seek to destroy this planet for their love of money and power and we think it is a stunning achievement. As Terence McKenna might once have said – ‘Firefriend should be consumed alone, in the dark, in silence, with your eyes closed’. Firefriend advises, “Express yourself through any method you want. That is how you become a transmitter, generating waves that will open connections with others vibrating on the same frequencies. Das neue Album "nichts" der Aachener Post-Hardcore Band FJORT ist ein 50-minütiges Erlebnis. "nichts" gewinnt dem dichten Sound der Band, der fließend zwischen allen Spielarten von Hardcore und Postrock wandelt, zahlreiche neue Facetten ab. Die Täler sind tiefer denn je, in den Höhen ist kaum Luft zu atmen. Die Atmosphäre fühlt sich nahezu greifbar an. Lyrisch gaben sich FJORT seit jeher kryptisch und bleiben dieser Linie treu werden auf "nichts" jedoch auch konkret wie selten zuvor. Vielleicht, weil Zeiten wie diese mehr denn je nach Schonungslosigkeit lechtzen. Vielleicht auch, weil eine Art Galgenhumor seinen Weg auf das Album gefunden hat, der mit dem absoluten Ernst gekonnt bricht. Abwechslungsreicher und schlichtweg größer klang diese Band noch nie.

"Weil wir Menschen schaltbar sind.". Mit dem bedrückenden ""43" verkünden FJORT aus Aachen die Ankunft ihres fünften Albums namens"belle époque" (Grand Hotel van Cleef). Die erste Minute führt uns balladesk in die unvorstellbar entmenschlichte Zeit der deutschen Geschichte und spannt einen mahnenden Bogen in unsere Gegenwart. Erst dann spielt das Trio die stärkste Karte in seiner Hand: eine musikalische Entladung, die dem gerade Gehörten Nachdruck verleiht. Wenn in der folgenden Strophe "wir haben gemordet, gebrandschatzt, geschändet, erdrosselt - wir sind dazu fähig" mit 98dC Verzerrung geschrien und immer wieder zur Selbstreflexion angesichts dieses Entsetzens gemahnt wird, wird offensichtlich: "belle époque" ist das bisher wortgewaltigste Album der Band. "Wir leben in Hakenkreuzzeiten" schlussfolgern FJORT am Ende und uns wird unmissverständlich bewusst, wie kurz wir vor einer Wiederholung des Damals stehen. Auf der musikalischen Ebene sind FJORT nach wie vor ihr eigener Maßstab: Kompositionen wie Theaterstücke, emotional verdichtet, gleichzeitig in der Lage in Angst zu versetzen und zu erlösen.

Obwohl erst Februar 2012 in Aachen zusammengefunden, veröffentlichen FJ¥RT im März 2014 ihr zweites Album "D'accord". Ja, das geht fix bei den Jungs, die scheinbar keine Ruhe und Pause kennen. Das Rackern und Malochen hat sich auch schon definitiv für die Drei ausgezahlt, denn auch schon ihr Erstling "Demontage" sorgte für dicke Wellen in der hiesigen Post-Hardcore-Szene. Wütend, zerstörerisch, bildgewaltig - so könnte man die sechs Songs des Debut bezeichnen. An der Schnittmenge zwischen modernem Hardcore, klanggewaltigem Postrock und Emo im Sinne der 90er Jahre, malmen, stampfen und kämpfen sich die düsteren Songs ins Bewusstsein des Hörers. Chris (Gitarre, Gesang), David (Bass) und Frank (Drums) wissen als klassisches Three-Piece Radau für ein ganzes Orchester zu inszenieren. Die zehn neuen Songs auf "D'accord" fügen dem bereits gelegten FJ¥RT-Grundgerüst nun noch eine weiter Dimension hinzu - sie verschachteln, stapeln, experimentieren und verwüsten, mit einer unglaublichen Bandbreite und Abwechslung. FJ¥RT können ruhig und laut, aber auch episch und kurz & knackig. Sie spielen mit Elementen die auf einer Turbostaat oder Pascow Platte sowie auf einer Piano Become The Teeth-Platte Platz finden. Und das Spannende dabei ist, daß es ohne angestrengt zu sein geil klingt! Wenn Du in Schubladen denken möchtest, dann sag ich's mal so: Das hier könnte die Hardcoreplatte für den eigentlichen Punk-Fan sein und zwar, weil der Gesang die Brücke baut. Stimmlich ist das hier vielleicht der richtig angepisste Jan von Turbostaat der zu einem Tidal Sleep-artigen Soundtrack düstere Bilder heraufbeschwört. Irgendwo zwischen frühen Escapado, den The Wave-Bands und düsteren Post Rock!

Flat Worms on 45! These two tracks charge forth in perfect accord with the increased speed of the format. Culled from their sessions at Electrical Audio for the just-released ‘Antarctica’, this is the upper-cut to follow the album’s gut-punch, a classic knockout move.
The dance called ‘The Guest’ is a bit like The Twist but with more writhing involved. There’s horror there so it’s earned writhing on your part. For this song, Flat Worms take a DEVO-esque view, looking passively upon the actions of the real people. It’s pretty scary.
‘Circle’ belongs to that tradition of 45 tracks that may or may not allude to the 45 itself. “Find the circle! Find the center!” might serve as both timely
polemic and shameless self-promotion. Or maybe not. One thing that’s not ambiguous is the acidglazed lead guitar that hovers like a neon apparition above the thrashing rhythm section. It’s
definitively eerie.
‘Antarctica’ was a life sentence. This double-A-side
45 is the emphatic exclamation point that follows.

"Gut Geklaut" ist das dritte Langeisen des Trios aus Mettmann, den Königen und Gründern des METTCORE. Dabei ist die neue Scheibe anders als der Titel es vermuten läßt KEIN Coveralbum, im Gegenteil! Fleischwolf haben einfach alles durch ebendiesen gedreht, was sie an Musikgenres und Bands über die Jahrzehnte an Vorlieben entwickelt haben und sie geprägt hat. Und das ist ne Menge, denn PUNK darf bei Fleischwolf immer noch ALLES und wird weder textlich noch musikalisch in ein Korsett gesteckt! Und deshalb gibt es auf "Gut Geklaut" mit 12 eigenen Songs einfach unglaublich Vieles zu entdecken (inkl zahlreicher Gastmusiker), was das Album für jeden Punk/Hardcore/Metaler zu einer spannenden "Zitatereise" macht: Von den glorreichen Punkrock-Tagen, ("Revolution, "Fuck the System", Hass ist Deine Währung") Hardcore ("Echter Scheisstag", "Sturmflut") , geil-üblen Schweinerock bis Thrash bis hin zur liebevollen NDW-Hommage an ein anderes TRIO aus Großenkneten. ("Ja, Paul") . Und wer einen Song wie "Mötörhead 4 Life" in Petto hat (Nein, Lemmy ist leider nicht auferstanden...hinterm Mirko ist tatsächlich Sänger Ollrich!), kann kein schlechtes Mett sein... "Gut geklaut" Oder auf den Punkt gebracht, wie die Band schon singt: "Wir spielen nicht nach Euren Regeln"!

Die Hardcore/Punk/Thrash Spezialisten von Fleischwolf waren noch nie Kostverächter: Ihre Musik nennen sie schlicht Mettcore, scheren sich um "Wokeness" und weitere Zeitgeist-Befindlichkeiten einen Dreck und haben eine ziemlich große Schnauze in die jede Menge Klartext und klarer Schnaps reinpasst! Mit ihrem wilden Genre-Mix und jeder Menge (Selbst)-Humor sind ihre harten Klänge voll auf Speed getrimmt, was eigentlich sehr passend ist: Seit ihrem Debut "Fleischwolf" und den beiden Nachfolgealben "Von uns für Euch" und "Gut geklaut" ist das Trio eindeutig auf der Überholspur! Ihr neuestes Werk erscheint als Doppel-10inch Vinyl und ist zum einem ein "Kleiner Vorgeschmack" auf das nächste Album mit drei neuen Songs: "Widerstand ist sinnlos - Asi Elixier" ist ein Thrash Metal-Hardcore Brett in bester Tankard-Manier! Jede Menge Spaß und Mitgröhlgarantie bietet "Genauso soll es auch sein" um dann dem alten Haudegen "Chuck Norris" mit reichlich Mötörhead-Charme, RocknRoll und Trompeten ein kleines Ständchen zu singen! Drei Volltreffer, die es in sich haben! Zum anderen ist die neue Fleischwolf aber mit der LP2 "Live" nach über 100 Konzerten auch eine Bestandsaufnahme und enthält 7 Songs mit dem ganzen Schweiss und Scheiss und Stimmung, den die Jungs auf der Bühne so von sich geben. Keine Ahnung wieviel ungezählte Stunden die Jungs von FLEISCHWOLF seit ihrer Gründung vor 10 Jahren auf der Autobahn verbracht haben, aber bei über 300 Club- und Festivalshows kommt da ganz schön was zusammen. Genug jedenfalls für die "Letzte Platte vor der Autobahn", ihre brandneues, 4. Album zum Bandjubliäum. "Blinker links" und ab auf die Überholspur: Genug neues Material haben die Punk-Thrash-Hardcore-Rotz(Rock)-Löffel jedenfalls gut verstaut im Kofferraum und auf ihre neue Scheibe gepackt. Da ächzen die Stoßdämpfer und freut sich die Schallplatten-Nadel, wenn mit "Jetzt geht es los" die wilde Fahrt beginnt. Dabei lassen die Mettcore-Spezialisten sich erneut nicht ausbremsen: Mit ihrer charmant-prolligen Art verheizen Sie alles was ihnen so unter den Asphalt brennt mit rebellischer "I don't give a fuck" -Attitüde und jeder Menge Spass in wohlklingenden Krach ohne Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung. Fleischwolf kann weder ein "Punkrock-Polizist" stoppen und na klar - "Aufgeben ist keine Option"! Ein ganz besonderer Song zu dem die Band Vinnie van der Schnuut ("Fresse"/ "BPM") und Mr. Wheelchair ins Studio eingeladen hat, der seit seinem Unfall 2010 mit gebrochenem Genick nur noch den Kopf bewegen kann. Begleitet von Gitarrengewitter trifft hier Punkrock auf Metalcore, Gefühl auf Härte - Eine bewegende Kampfansage an das Leben! Das die Band jede Menge "Asi-Elixir" getankt hat, war schon mit der "Kleiner Vorgeschmack" Doppel-10nch Vinyl glasklar. Und so gibt's nicht nur musikalisch jede Menge Qualm aus den Auspuff: "Watt denn", "Geh Sterben" sind nicht gerade für Sonntagsfahrer geeignet und nicht nur bei der Fahrprüfung gilt "Mach die Augen auf"! Wenn Du also einen Hybrid aus klassischen Deutschpunk, Hardcore-Thrash mit fettem RocknRoll-Vergaser suchst und der Zugkraft eines 14-Tonners_, steig in die verdammte Karre und dreh das Radio auf! "Hier ist die letzte Platte vor der Autobahn"! Und hier ist garantiert nicht die letzte Platte von Fleischwolf, dafür aber die mit den bislang meisten Pferdestärken!

Flogging Molly ist weniger eine Band als vielmehr eine transatlantische, keltische Punk-Institution. Über den Verlauf von 25 Jahren und nach tausenden von Konzerten auf der ganzen Welt hat Flogging Molly die Grenzen zwischen den Genres überschritten. Sie ist zu einer der wenigen Bands geworden, die buchstäblich an einem Tag mit The Chieftains und am nächsten Tag mit Motörhead die Bühne teilen. Für Flogging Mollys siebtes Album "Anthem" beschloss die Band um das Ehepaar Dave King (Gesang, Gitarre, Bodhrán) und Bridget Regan (Geige, Blechflöte, Backing Vocals), zu ihren Wurzeln zurückzukehren. Die Band nahm 14 Songs in 14 Tagen mit Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) im Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago auf. Letztlich gibt es keine andere Band wie Flogging Molly, die so mühelos zwischen Punk und Folk wechseln kann. Die Tatsache, dass mittlerweile mehrere Generationen von Fans zu den Konzerten der Band kommen, ist ein Beweis für ihre anhaltende Relevanz. Damit schließt sich der Kreis zurück zu "Anthem". "Mit dieser Platte sind wir auf eine Art und Weise zu den Grundlagen zurückgekehrt, wie wir es nicht hätten tun können, wenn wir nicht schon seit 20 Jahren zusammen gespielt hätten", fasst King zusammen. Die Band und die Welt haben in den letzten Jahren viel durchgemacht. "Anthem" handelt von dem kollektiven Geist, den wir alle besitzen und der es uns erlaubt, in die Zukunft zu blicken.

But it's also an album that serves as a classic example in which everything that
can go wrong, does go wrong. And at the worst possible time..

It would be easy to pigeonhole Footballhead’s unapologetically-buttrock-inspired record Weight of The Truth as simple nostalgia bait. Why wouldn’t millennials lust for the days of Halo and energy drinks in carpeted basements they’re not convinced they’ll ever be able to afford for themselves? Beyond that, why would the zoomers that now intently follow not try and chase the high of hyperreality in a bygone world that looks, to them, downright utopian when compared to the present?

What sets Footballhead’s capital-R Rock sound apart from contemporaries is - in addition to just sounding better - a desire and an ability to thread the needle between paying homage to a quasi-idyllic past and pursuing an earnest future. Footballhead wears their 2000s-era influences on their waffle-knit longsleeves, with power chord drives and pummeling choruses, all sequenced together like the teeth of a skeleton key able to unlock core memories for people who’ve either been there or people who simply wonder what being there was like. Both the anthems and ballads on Weight of The Truth are waxed and polished to perfection like the lip of a favored skatepark ledge.

But underlying all that, even more impressively, is a grit and substance derived from years spent in the Chicago DIY scene, exposing themselves to different styles and influences equally out of necessity as out of interest. It bleeds through on every track. You can bullshit your way into a vibe but, as the band shows on any number of recent releases, including singles off their upcoming second LP: you can’t fake heart. With an ear to the past but an eye to the present, Footballhead invites you to remember what it meant to give a shit back when the world felt simpler - and what it might feel like to do so again.

Forced Down was first created by Amenity vocalist: Mike Down and Pitchfork drummer: Joey Piro. The band was completed by vocalist Rob Base as well as members of other San Diego hardcore alumni including Scott Bartoloni from Heroin.

Full of idealism, love and anger the band recorded (2) vinyl 7”s including their swansong double-7”: “Stifle”. The Forced Down mission statement reads: “As the social values in our society become more set in stone, the individual is forgotten. When what the individual stands for goes against the ideas of the masses, and is considered a threat to order, be it right or wrong—they are forced down— disciplined to maintain "the order" Some conform, some resist, some fall, and they are forgotten”…. Vinyl reissue of the absolutely brilliant fourth full length album from the pop-punk / melodic hardcore legends Four Year Strong.

This album is now getting pressed onto vinyl for the first since it's original release in 2010, as the band's first major-label released studio album. Album features the huge singles 'It Must Really Suck To Be In Four Year Strong Right Now' and 'Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)', amongst an album filled with fan-favourites.

might just melt it off.
Featuring players drawn from various corners of the Brewtown
music scene, Fox Face came together organically ahead of the
recording sessions for their November 2017 debut album, Spoil
+ Destroy. Main songwriter Lindsay DeGroot (The Olives)
started working on her songs with multi-instrumentalist Lydia
Washechek (Static Eyes). Eventually fellow Olives member
Mary Hickey joined up on bass, and the final piece of the band
was found with the addition of drummer Christopher Capelle
(Midwest Beat, Long Line Riders). Spoil + Destroy was one of
the best garage punk albums of 2017-2018, taking on science
deniers, misogynists and other jerks with songs anchored by
fiery guitar playing and rock-solid ensemble playing.
End Of Man bumps up the furious guitar sound of Spoil +
Destroy a few more notches. It’s not hard rock, per se, but the
album’s sound edges in that direction. And one can tell that Fox
Face has been playing together for several years now, because
these recordings are tight AF. There’s no filler or extraneous
padding; the arrangements and playing make for a cohesive
whole, and lyrically the songs are direct and to the point while
still remaining universal enough to be met on personal terms by
the listener.
End Of Man may not be a party record … at least, once letting
the lyrics filter past the lizard brain enjoyment of the blazing
riffs. But art is not supposed to be all fun and games. Standing
up and speaking truth may not be the easiest path for a band or
its listeners, but there is much to be said for catharthis. Anyone
feeling despair and helplessness about the current political and
societal breakdown should find some common ground to rage
along with these new songs from Fox Face.
