Unreleased masterpiece by Roy Budd, the master of British 1970s scores. VERY VERY LIMITED VINYL PRESSING. And if that doesn’t make you buy it well I suggest you move on to something else. Maybe another section, like Rock. Or Post Punk. Or Jazz. Composed and recorded in 1974, The Internecine Project is a truly classic Roy Budd score, released here and NOW on vinyl (and on any format) for the very first time. And it’s worth buying just for the TOTALLY SUBLIME TRACK CALLED “Mr Easy”. Coming from the peak Roy Budd period – by this I mean post Get Carter and pre Diamonds - this score neatly bridges the two with Carter-style hypnotic jazz driven cues and superb Diamonds-style drama. The film itself was a slick British thriller directed by Ken Hughes, set in a greay, gloomy London and based around espionage and murder. The plot is simple; former spy Robert Elliot (the ice cool James Coburn – with interesting facial hair and equally as interesting wardrobe) is given a big government job. In order to cut all questionable ties and clean up his rather grubby past he devises a plan in which all of his dodgy associates unwittingly kill each other on the same night – and in alphabetical order. The film’s unusual and often misspelt name comes from the word internecine – the definition of which is conflict within a group.

Astroneer is Rutger Zuydervelt's first foray into video game soundtracks. The sci-fi adventure was developed by American indie company System Era. In the game, the music plays continuously and is reactive to the player's actions. This soundtrack album presents the musical themes as edited tracks. As can be expected, Astroneer 's tracks are playful, and amongst Rutger's most accessible work. Like the game, its score is spacious, simple (which does not mean simplistic) and engaging. Astroneer will be self published in an edition of 200 cds, and as download.

Destroy All Neighbors is a twisted splatter-comedy about a deranged journey of self-discovery full of goopy practical FX, a well-known ensemble cast, and LOTS of blood. William Brown (Jonah Ray Rodrigues), is a neurotic, self-absorbed musician determined to finish his prog-rock magnum opus, facing a creative roadblock in the form of a noisy and grotesque neighbor named Vlad (Alex Winter).

He finally works up the nerve to demand that Vlad keep it down, and William inadvertently decapitates him. But, while attempting to cover up one murder, William's accidental reign of terror causes victims to pile up and become undead corpses who torment and create more bloody detours on his road to prog-rock Valhalla. The soundtrack is an infectious slice of progressive rock cues, EDM freakouts, 80’s synth pop and so much more by the brilliant Ryan Kattner & Brett Morris. Released in conjunction with SUB POP Records, and features an original song by MAN MAN, artwork by Johnny Dombrowski, and pressed on coloured vinyl.

From small beginnings in 1974 as a local cinema and university event, Film Fest Gent has grown yearly in stature and is now recognised as one of the major destinations for the film industry. A vital component is the celebration of film music in the shape of the World Soundtrack Awards which honours the very best composers at work in the world of cinema. In 2016 the award went to one of the most brilliant composers of his generation, Ryuichi Sakamoto. This is the first overview of his remarkable catalogue of film scores, fully approved by the composer and performed by the masterful Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Dirk Brossé. Sakamoto was already a celebrated pioneer in electronic music and composer/pianist/singer in Japan when director Nagisa Oshima asked him to write the score for Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence in 1983 and also to star alongside David Bowie. In a 30 year plus career since then he has worked with the cream of film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor), Brian De Palma (Snake Eyes), Pedro Almodovar (High Heels) and most recently Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (The Revenant). This compilation is a fitting tribute to his status as one of the greatest living musicians and film composers.

Based on the book by the same name, Minamata follows war photographer Eugene Smith as he travels Japan documenting the devastating effect of mercury poisoning among coastal communities. His efforts to publicize the suffering caused by corporate malfeasance soon draw the attention of the world to Minamata, the city where the effects of the toxin are most pronounced.

The score is composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto composer, electro-pop pioneer, buddy to David Bowie, and synthesizer legend. His work since the late 1970s has taken him from the top of the charts. Sakamoto’s music has consistently exuded a profound empathy. Whether leading Yellow Magic Orchestra’s cheeky pop, collaborating with cranial ambient artists, or, more recently, confronting his own mortality, Sakamoto’s music expresses in a few elegant gestures the haunting richness of life.

Seven years after Shin Godzilla, the worst "despair" in history strikes.

Director Takashi Yamazaki's 70th anniversary film.



Since its first appearance in 1954, the monster "Godzilla" has fascinated and shocked not only Japan but the world. Godzilla-1.0" (Godzilla minus one)

marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla, the 30th live-action Godzilla produced in Japan, and the first Godzilla produced in "2025". The film is directed, written,

and VFX directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who professes to be a Godzilla fan himself. Ryunosuke Kamiki plays the lead role. The heroine is played by Minami Hamabe.

The film also features a cast of talented actors, including Hiroki Yamada, Takataka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki,

all of whom are ready to take on Godzilla. The music is composed by Naoki Sato, who has composed music for many of Yamazaki's films, including "Always: Sunset on Third Street,"

"Destiny: The Kamakura Story," and "Archimedes' War. The overwhelmingly powerful visuals and music will send viewers into a whirlpool of excitement.

Featuring a score composed by the incomparable Emile Mosseri (THE LAST BLACK MAN IN SAN FRANCISCO, HOMECOMING: SEASON TWO) and featuring a cover of Mr. Lonely by Angel Olsen, this soundtrack is a true highlight of 2020.

At Miranda July and Emile Mosseri’s first meeting, Mosseri arrived with a few pieces of music recorded on his phone. July was apprehensive when he offered to play them, given that she’d yet to fully respond to any one piece of music.

“At that point, I felt like the princess and the pea, but I said, sure, go ahead and play them. The first thing he played was the love theme for Old Dolio and Melanie, and it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever heard. I couldn't believe I was so lucky. We just went from there. We had five weeks to get it done. It was a perfect collaboration,” July said.

Says Mosseri of the score “It’s a rare and special thing to get to work with an artist as singular as Miranda. She has her own instrument and creates her own world. It was a dream working with her, and the purest joy to write music that found its home in that world”

Space Pirate Captain Harlock was originally a manga comic series created and illustrated by Leiji Matsumoto, which debuted in 1977. The comic was adapted into an anime television series in 1978 directed by Rintaro and produced by Toei Animation. The soundtrack to this series was composed by Seiji Yokoyama and is perhaps his best known work. Symphonic and tense, the music perfectly compliments the show, where Captain Harlock denies defeat and leads an outlaw crew aboard his starship Arcadia to undertake daring raids against Earth's oppressors during a low time for Earth's population, in the future of 2977 AD. A great and rare anime soundtrack, highly sought after by collectors both of anime and Japanese electronics/symphonic music.

Seiya is an orphan who, as a young boy, was selected by the Kido Foundation to bring legendary bronze armour back to Japan. He succeeds, along with 10 other orphans. Forced by the foundation to take part in a "show", the knights embark on a tournament before the prize, the golden armour, is stolen. Little by little, they realise that their problems stem from the Sanctuary in Greece, home to the 12 most powerful knights, the Golden Knights, and their leader, the Great Pope. His target is the young Saori Kido, heiress to the foundation and reincarnation of Athena.

The series was a huge success and spawned an extensive franchise, with TV series, films and video games. This album features the best music and songs from the anime, composed and arranged by Seiji Yokoyama (GATCHAMAN).

anyone who watched was scared shitless. The 7 part drama centred around disturbing happenings in a strange pagan village of very weird and unusually happy people, all set in the midst of the stone circle at Avebury – known as Milbury for the show.
The series shown across British TV (and USA TV in 1980) would scar, disturb and influence an entire generation. Without COTS it’s unlikely we’d have hauntology, spooky folk stuff, stone circle clubs, weird walks and a hunger for such pagan oddities everywhere. And COTS really is the key TV series in many of these modern movements, way before The Wicker Man. Even though The Wicker Man was released in 1973 it was an adult film only released to a few cinemas.
Very few people saw it and its influence really started in the late 1990s with the first release of the music. Whereas COTS on the other hand was shown at 5pm, on schooldays, to a whole nation of impressionable kids, who had never seen or heard anything quite like it. The power of COTS runs deep. So much so Stewart Lee made a whole documentary about it. The release of this long-awaited album will be a “Happy Day” for many.
THE MUSIC:
According to rumour the director of the show was listening to Penderecki as he first approached Avebury to scope out locations. Sidney Sager and The Ambrosian Singers produced an avant-garde and often quite oddly terrifying sequence of vocal drones and dramatic peaks based on ancient Icelandic singular word “Hadave”. And yes, it’s still scary.

The game’s creator, Don Bellenger, has also crafted a scintillating set of electronica bangers under the alias SKYMELT. Smothered in synths, it’s a score that calls to mind a dystopian future as envisaged in an alternative past (Bandcamp album.) Driving four-to-the-floor cuts sit beside slower, skyscraper-sized tracks. This isn’t just Cyberpunk. It isn’t just Synthwave… It’s Synth-Punk.

13 tracks have been specially mastered for vinyl and pressed onto a heavyweight 180g LP in traditional black. Sleeve artwork is by 2D artist Zac Bolubasz (who is also the game’s lead artist.) The sleeve has a special metallic gold and silver finish and is printed on Mirri board.
