The infusion of electronic music into the score ultimately expanded into the inclusion of 11 remixes on the album, and it was an amalgam of inspirations which brought that idea to fruition. Both composers have worked extensively with electronic music, including their work on the celebrated, techno-infused Run Lola Run soundtrack.

Unique composer duo Rebekka Karijord & Jon Ekstrand create compelling, hybrid score to intimate portrait of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg `I Am Greta', the intimate Hulu documentary by Swedish director Nathan Gross-man, tells the story of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg through compel-ling, never-before-seen-footage. Starting with her one-person school strike for cli-mate action outside the Swedish Parliament, Grossman follows Greta in her rise to prominence. The film culminates with the extraordinary wind-powered voyage across the Atlantic to speak at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York. To musically accompany Greta and the children of the Fridays for Future movement on their journey, composers Rebekka Karijord and Jon Ekstrand spent time searching for the right balance when it comes to how much emotional triggers the music should of-fer: "With the music for `I Am Greta' we aimed to find a sonic counterpoint to the friction between the shy, contemplative inner world of Greta, and the unbounded ener-gy of the natural world and climate change movement. From the start we found it useful to separate the score into three distinct voices: Greta's Voice, the voice of the natural world, and the voice of the climate change movement." "We choose to work with repetition and persistent musical patterns, often illustrated through energetic string arpeggios. This we felt helped underline the remarkable persistence and focus of Greta has on the climate issue, as well as that of the re-lentlessness of nature. Then we found a few places throughout the score, where more melodic aspects could be introduced and carry the story through its dramaturgical journey. It allowed the melodic aspects to shine through when they are introduced." "The score consists of a string octet, modular synthesisers and a voice instrument built by Rebekka of 25 unique singers sampled in their full range. Our soloist on the soundtrack is the cellist Linnea Olsson, whom has a very specific airy and organ-ic tone." LA composer and musician Jon Natchez (The War On Drugs, Beirut, David Byrne, St. Vincent) scores stunning, award-winning Maltese independent movie Luzzu for Phantom Limb’s Geist im Kino soundtrack imprint.

Following on from Jonathan's previous volume of Divided Time, which is long, long sold out, we’ve stepped forward from the first volume's depiction of London in the early seventies to 1979.

Jonathan explains, "Following on from the first Divided Time album, which documented the early 70's, we’ve stepped forward from London to 1979. By this point another big trip was on the cards. My Dad was living and working in New York, and in the Summer of 1979 the family travelled to visit for several weeks in the summer. These kind of travel experiences are taken for granted now, but as a 12 year old who’s only experience of the US was from film and tv, this was a life changing trip. I’d never even been on a plane before.

"Having found a batch of slides from that summer, it all came flooding back. The vast differences in culture. The scenery from New York’s iconic buildings, the grim state of parts of it, the twin towers of the World Trade Centre. The beautiful countryside of upstate New Work and Connecticut. Hot dogs, hamburgers, huge cars. All of this a million miles from the dismal world of Thatcher’s Britain."

Jonathan again displays his range and authenticity here. You can almost see the steam rising from the manhole covers, smell the burgers and gasoline. It's a tour de force from one our most original and lauded artists.

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth. It's the seventh instalment in the Transformers live-action film series. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the film was released in June 2023. The soundtrack was in hands of Jongnic Bontemps, who gave the film a new sound. The score also features a reimagining of familiar musical compositions from the earlier movies by Steve Jablonsky. Bontemps felt his goal was influencing the score from the first five films directed by Michael Bay, but as the movie takes place after the events of Bumblebee (2018), which deviated from the timeline of the original films, he also needed to provide new fresh music. During the soundtrack's production, different musical styles were experimented with. However, Bontemps said they quickly realized that ""an organic, orchestral, emotional score, that sound we are all familiar with, and has such a deep history, goes a long way for we as the audience to connect with these robots."" Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Expanded Edition) is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on Autobots Red (LP1) vs Decepticons Purple (LP2) coloured vinyl. The vinyl edition features 5 bonus tracks and it includes a 4-page booklet with liner notes by the director, composer, and music executive of Paramount."

Jónsi releases his latest score, for the new Amazon Original movie Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, starring Michael B. Jordan, Jodie Turner- Smith and Jamie Bell, directed by Stefano Sollima. The score is 23 tracks of pure action, adrenaline and anxiety.

WORLD OF HORROR is a 1-bit roguelite horror RPG inspired by the works of Junji Ito and H.P. Lovecraft. The mystery and terrors of Shiokawa, Japan are fully brought to life by this retro-inspired chiptune soundtrack that is as melodic as it is atmospheric. "Writing music for a horror game with such a limited chiptune sound palette was a very interesting challenge. It made me consider every part very carefully, resulting in an unusually melodic soundtrack for a horror game", says composer Joseph "Qwesta" Bailey. He and the other musical mind of the game's soundtrack, Garoslaw, have collaborated with Black Screen Records to bring the WORLD OF HORROR onto cassette tape to really give investigators the feel of 1980's Showa Era Japan. Jozef Van Wissem- Lute, Electronics, Beats, Electric Guitar, Found Bird Sounds. In 2013 van Wissem won the Cannes Soundtrack Award at the Cannes Film Festival for Jim Jarmusch’s “Only Lovers Left Alive “. In December 2017 Jozef van Wissem was invited to perform the madrigal depicted in Caravaggio’s painting The Lute Player (1596) at the Hermitage museum of Saint Petersburg. In 2022 three of his works were used for in the soundtrack and trailer of Irma Vep (HBO). His completely unique musical world can be easily verified by his collaborations, especially that these relationships are also strengthening his own musical character. He worked together with Zola Jesus, Tilda Swinton, Jarboe as well as with his long-time collaborative partner, also his friend, Jim Jarmusch. “La Cinémathèque Française in Paris commissioned me to write and perform the score at the presentation of the restored version of Nosferatu. I was a bit overwhelmed by its success. It was sold out. I wasn’t going to repeat it. But people kept asking. In the beginning the soundtrack was more improvised and reactive to the images but after a few times the audience kind of showed me the way. To start with a few notes and building the score slowly to a dense slow metal ending. I found an old 7-inch single with recordings of extinct birds on a market, I electronically processed and added them to the score . “ Manipulating the sounds of electric guitar in alternate tuning he manages to create the feeling of fear, equal to the experience of the victims of Count Orlok. “To me Nosferatu personifies this Death Bird of the Plague. The score for Only Lovers Left Alive - a collaboration between SQÜRL (Jim Jarmusch, Carter Logan and Shane Stoneback) and Dutch lutenist Jozef Van Wissem - serves as a reflection of the distinct textures of Detroit and Tangier, bridging ancient and modern sounds, entangled and timeless. Avant-Baroque lute weaves through twenty-first century guitar grit, heavy back beats, Moroccan percussion, synth bass, field recordings, and numerous sonic effects to create a cinematic tapestry. Guest vocalist Madeline Follin (Cults) appears on SQÜRL's syrup soaked reinterpretation of the Wanda Jackson hit "Funnel of Love". Ninja Gaiden, of the most iconic and beloved 2D action game series ever created, was first released in the arcades in 1988, while making its console debut on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) later in the same year. At the time of the console release, Ninja Gaiden was renowned not only for its deep storytelling beautifully visualized by TECMO’s unique “cinema scenes,” but also through its legendary chiptune soundtrack, whose unique rock-’n’-roll sound and drum beat instantly became a formative musical experience for players who were only just getting into video games.

Ninja Gaiden: The Definitive Soundtrack is divided into volumes. The first, Ninja Gaiden Vol. 1, features the music of both the NES title and the Arcade game, both titled Ninja Gaiden. The follow-up, Ninja Gaiden Vol. 2, features the music of both Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom. This bundle includes BOTH Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 at a special price. These legendary soundtracks have been digitally restored under the supervision of Keiji Yamagishi, one of the original series composers. “Murderock” has become a cult title among genre film fans over the years, and is here reissued on the occasion of

Black Friday 2023 in a new clear blue vinyl version with gatefold sleeve and audio remastered by Claudio Fuiano.

La Chiesa” (The Church) is a 1989 film, directed by Michele Soavi ( “Dellamorte Dellamore”) and produced by the master of Italian horror Dario Argento, who also participated in the writing of the story and screenplay. The soundtrack is composed by Keith Emerson and Goblin. Classical, prog rock and electronics sounds are skillfully blended to create a late entry Italian masterpiece. Emerson, in particular, makes extensive use of a church organ, mindful of his work for Dario Argento’s film “Inferno” a few years earlier (1980), while Goblin continues with the bombastic electro-prog rock they had fines tuned during the last 20 years. Audio is taken directly from the Cinevox archives.

As a contrast, the focus track "that's a dream come true" is a slow-vibing piano track with electronic beats that shows the rare but intense emotional scenes in the show. Kensuke Ushio started his solo career in 2007 under “agraph”. and creates electronic music. He has worked on music for animation TV series, music in advertising and movies such as: A Silent Voice, Devilman Crybaby, Space Dandy, Liz and the Blue Bird, Japan Sinks 2020, Heike Story and now Chainsaw Man.

Space Adventure Cobra is the animated series from the masterpiece of Buichi Terasawa, produced by the prestigious studio TMS Entertainment and broadcasted from 1982. The series was a huge success and remains to this day one of the most appreciated in the world of Japanese animation.

"Omoiyari" means to have empathy and consideration for others, and act on it. This fall, the American indie-folk multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Kishi Bashi is set to release the companion album to his forthcoming documentary song film, titled Music from the Song Film: Omoiyari. Consisting of two LPs_"The Songs" and "The Score"_the release showcases what is essentially the soundtrack to Omoiyari, the feature-length motion picture co-directed by Kishi Bashi, aka Kaoru Ishibashi or "K," which is being released via MTV Documentary Films in November. Focusing on K's own six-year journey of discovery surrounding his research of the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans that followed the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, the film is part social justice documentary and part song-film experiment. The album includes K's live improvisations, which are featured in the documentary, many recorded on the sites where the concentration camps stood. Written during and about the artist's transformational dive into his personal identity and serving as a broad survey of the Japanese American experience as well as the incarceration_Music from the Song Film: Omoiyari serves as an evocative musical accompaniment to the lessons of empathy and compassion portrayed in the film and highlights the process and power of one of modern indie's most talented musicians.

Das Boot ist ein erfolgreicher deutscher Kriegsfilm unter der Regie von Wolfgang Petersen, in dem Jürgen Prochnow, Herbert Grönemeyer und Klaus Wennemann die Hauptrollen spielen. Der Original-Soundtrack, komponiert von Klaus Doldinger, wird nun erstmals als 1LP auf farbigen Vinyl (Crystal Clear) aufgelegt und
erscheint am 03.11..

Der Film erhielt sehr positive Kritiken und wurde für sechs Oscars nominiert, wobei zwei dieser Nominierungen (für die beste Regie und das beste adaptierte Drehbuch) an Petersen selbst gingen; außerdem war er für einen BAFTA Award und einen DGA Award nominiert.

Der Soundtrack zum Film wurde von Klaus Doldinger komponiert und produziert, der für seine Arbeit im Jazz und als Filmmusikkomponist bekannt ist. Die charakteristische Titelmelodie des Soundtracks
verselbständigte sich, nachdem die deutsche Rave-Gruppe U96 1991 eine neu abgemischte "Techno-Version" geschaffen hatte. Die Titelmelodie "Das Boot" wurde später zu einem internationalen Hit.
