'I was about a year deep into recording what would become Windswept when I heard that David was making Season 3,' he explains. 'It's been a year since Chromatics performed at the Roadhouse. With disintegrated memory through the haze of television snow, I wanted to share a glimpse behind the red curtain.'

Themes for Television is an epic from the cutting room floor. A nearly hour-long foray into the blurry hours of night. 'The project began as a sonic exploration of the sounds I was hearing in my nightmares,' Jewel says. 'I wanted to find my way out of the maze by focusing on beauty over fear — like the way the fractured sunrise looks in a dream.'

Themes for Television is in keeping with the unpredictable twilit splendour one expects of Jewel. Working entirely without images, drawing from his own imagined version of what The Return might be, Jewel produced a monumental six hours of material. The 21 tracks that comprise this album have been culled from that prolific streak of inspiration, sequenced and edited last winter in Tokyo.

Following a self-titled EP last year, Dario Rojo Guerra aka Natureboy Flako is set to release his second album 'Theme For A Dream' on Five Easy Pieces on 20th July 2018. A master of the mixing board, from the late 60s until the 90s Bernard Estardy was the wizard of French musical recordings. As head of CBE studios, he shaped everything from Gérard Manset's concept albums to Claude François' hit singles, Françoise Hardy's delicate tear-jerkers and Michel Sardou's soul-stirrers. This giant' had his hand in the whole range of mainstream French music by making his studio a veritable playground for experimentation. His legendary album La Formule du Baron,' released in 1969, and the eight LPs of production music he made between 1974 and 1978 for Tele Music are vivid proof. In the CBE studio, which she runs today, his daughter Julie Estardy discussed his singular career.

A virtuous synth explosion composed by Maestro Cipriani and performed by the classic Goblin line-up consisting of Claudio SIMONETTI (keyboards), Massimo MORANTE (guitars), Fabio PIGNATELLI (bass), and Agostino MARANGOLO (drums).

The result of this special Cipriani-Goblin rendezvous is an elegant and dark sound full of deep bass and obsessive rhythms, with an innovative and experimental electronic background mxanipulated with synth and exotic percussion. Contains the classic horror theme "Deathwatch", compiled in an essential CAM library release (Electronic Sound - CML 182), and later used in the slasher cult moviePieces. Warped guitars, screams and voices gone berserk, furious drums, tenacious bass guitars, frenzied Hammonds, avalanches of sitars, dramatic inflections, and hypnotics breaks. All these things together and many more are THE PAWNSHOP. A moniker for an obscure supergroup behind which three truly unforgettable heroes of the Italian library music used to conceal themselves and experiment without any musical boundaries whatsoever. They were the celebrated Giuliano Sorgini (Raskovich), Alessandro Alessandroni (Braen) and Giulia De Mutiis (Kema), the latter's wife. To this day, the only proof of their existence was a handful of 7" - wildly sought after today by collectors and DJs who worship mod music, prog and funk - recorded in the November months of 1970 and 1971 at Piero Umiliani's legendary Sound Work Shop, the greatest, the best equipped and totally over the top studio of its era among all those working with or for RAI television. Later on, the moniker completely disappeared from the musicians' discographies, but the sound of those tracks bore vital fruits in library gems such as INCHIESTA GIUDIZIARIA, DRAMMATICO or QUARTA PAGINA (poliziesco) through which Braen & Raskovich were to contaminate and transform the b-movie sound, newscasts and radioshows at a time when Italy was shaken to its core by the occult and shady dealings of secret agencies, bombings in public squares, kidnappings, and the so-called proletarian expropriation carried out by the left wing movement. Having miraculously recovered the sessions' original master tapes recorded for both 7", we were also able to retrieve the group's whole output, comprehensive of three instrumental versions of the four tracks released on 45rpm between February 1971 and March 1972. Furthermore, we were able to hunt downPlease, Don't Say No!, a true hidden gem, a track that has never been released before in any form. Recorded during the group's first session, it was sacrificed - and completely forgotten afterwards - to make room for the iconic tracksThe Telegraph is Callingand My Shadeon the A and B sides.This one is perhaps the most surprising piece of music of the whole bunch.
