The third release of ninih is by none other than Australia-based electronic producer Andy Rantzen. Bringing his most dancefloor friendly EP as of yet. A-side for trancing ~ B-side for dancing. All tracks stem from the late 90’s/early noughties giving this EP it’s ravey vibe in typical dubby Rantzen fashion.

Darcey Electronics are an inimitable duo made up of Darling & Tracey. Two Amsterdam based producers who have respectively released material via Dial, Off Minor Recordings, Safe Trip, Voyage Direct and Intergraded.

They now join forces for the first release under the collaborative moniker in what is their debut EP for the newly launched label, Plant Life.

‘Hallo’ is a tripped out collection of tracks. Four experiments comprised of loose hypnotic percussion and stray melodies with machine driven prowess at the forefront.

Two years after their first record came out, the crew operating legendary dance nights in Nantes are back on top of the new release pile. Two original tracks by Kanot and two remixes. Overall, their stylistic balance signature is maintained, although the gravity center is a bit more leftfield and poetic, a bit less dance-obvious. But that’s only in comparison to other material: any of the four pieces here can take a dance floor apart, played at the right time.

Hit & Run has a massive “star grabbing” feel, the synth and guitar surges sounding like as many jumps above the stratosphere, and the vocalizing choirs on top making it a definitive cosmic jam.

Turbulens is more earthy than spacy: drum breaks and big ass basslines bring out an irresistible leg shaking feel, the melodic guitars on top balance the vibe into that delicious moment when Caribbean sunsets turn the day into a warm a groovy night, certainly a party starter. The Pilotwings Remix is to the image of their added touch: trancy on edges but very far from easy or obvious. Constantly jumping above and diving under the line, it’s playing greatly with dancers’ feet, and eventually their minds.

Houseman Vidock delivers the most danceable material on this record. His strong experience as a DJ for parties focused on having people dancing freely for a long time is clearly audible. This slo-mo belter doesn’t need much advertisement, it just needs to be played to any dancefloor, be it at midnight or 8 am.

Semi promotional record for the Russian ADS7 drumsynthesizer. Thee J Johanz is going from the Chicagoish banging drumsynth only I Wanna Turn On My Beatbox, to nearly Italoesque electro in Drops Of Joy, to end with the (only playable inside out) trippy Italo proto techno adventure in Calm Your Tits Kitty. On the other side 4 tracks with top class electro, all made by MSRG, who is also the man behind the drumsynthesizer. Funky, jazzy and even stamping in the last track, always elegant and spot on. The chamois know: With her second EP Viennese artist Conny Frischauf will deliver a masterpiece. On her 2018 debut »Effekt & Emotion« (International Major Label) she delved deep into a well-curated atlas. The opener »Halbzeit« opens both ear and mouth. Alphorns roar through the valleys, the wind blows soflty, sometimes harder through the hair, and gentle yodelling echoes from the other side of the mountain pass. It all sounds naive, funny almost, but in reality it is deeply intense and utterly touching. On »Wie du mir« the new avant-garde takes on the next step, intertwining slowly-crescendoing off-kilter synth lines, casual strings and the artist's lovely voice with so many other elements, creating a well-tempered climate that infuses bed linen and hair with a spring-like scent. The B-side-opener »Auf und Nieder« gently embraces the current trend of austro wave and opens up the entire wonderful world of 70s/80s underground jazz pop while visiting Vienna's Prater (or any other fair). Love awaits between cotton candy and subtle masquerade. If you haven't found your way around by then, Frischauf provides a »Kompass« at the end. The final piece of this gem takes you back to the topographical descriptions of love using alpine landscape imagery. running by Dodi Palese. Owner of the Common Series project/label, Marco has delivered 9 tracks
recorded between 2003 and 2007 that we fell in love with at first listen. The fact that they were
created more than 10 years ago confirms the futuristic vision of this talented artist that we have been
following since his first steps. For this project we have also involved the Italian illustrator Pierpaolo
Gaballo who has been entrusted with the cover of this album, just to offer a good product for the ears
but also for the eyes. Get ready to travel in the Marco's world, have a good listen! 12 inch also

Through aeons of evolution, the mysterious metamorphosis of the vinyan butterfly advances with a new moon: slowly becoming whole, casting sounds and echoes from one dimension to another. We witness the next cycle as it spreads its wings and emerges from the chrysalis. The eccentric landscapes and hypnotic blends of Sunju Hargun and Khun Fluff are given new capacity and perception catalyzed by Full Circle (aka Joakim and Alexis Le-Tan), S.O.N.S under his SYO moniker, and an eternal injection rework bonus.

The A-side features Sunju Hargun’s ٹرانس - released prior on the Vinyan cassette and now for the first time on vinyl - spinning around a warm body of transportive delays and reverberant acid textures. The steadily drifting polyrhythms send a balance of nuance and intensity off to the inner-nebula. Up next, the mysterious Seoul-based producer S.O.N.S. revisits his S.Y.O. moniker for an alternative interpretation. Leaving all subtleties behind, his rework takes off at the speed of sound, trembling into warped patterns of stubborn percussion, spirals, and even a "Koto" cameo, emerging into a sophisticated rapid-speed blend of ecstatic rhythms.

The proto-Goa devotees Full Circle take over the entire flip with their unique twist on another cassette original: Khun Fluff’s poetic วิญญาณ (Vinyan). At the speed of spoken word, the track is built around Kalayanapong’s reincarnation poem recited by Chucheewa. “Late at night, I ate starlight, to nourish. Poetry pours out at dawn, forevermore.” Groovy, subtle, spaced out to other dimensions, it brings one into a sedated delirium. A state in which the night's darkness and grooves gently but firmly mix with the light and hopes of the first rays of sun. One for the 6 AM sunrises, meow meow.

Along with a download card, the digital bonus on the release is Sunju Hargun’s eternal injection of ٹرانس. Starting like a hazy, dreamy, subdued, early morning ambient track, it morphs and transforms into a colourful, ever faster flying musical butterfly, bringing light, and speed in the E.P. 's final track.

Szaio is the anagrammatic alias of Toronto based Polish Canadian production designer turned musician Zosia Mackenzie.

Her debut album, Obraz (Portrait), initially began as a series of GarageBand sketches created over a month in the attic of her grandmother’s home in Warsaw.

Upon returning to Toronto, Mackenzie and her partner John O’Regan went to work in their home studio, swapping sounds and sequences with their Roland TR-909 and Juno 106, Sequential Circuits Prophet 600, and Soviet-era Formanta Polivoks.

Friends, neighbours, and dub techno pioneers Mark and Matt Thibideau provided additional ear candy, layers of vintage rack effects, and full frequency analog mixdowns for each of the album’s six songs at Repair-Lab Studio. Mastering and cutting was provided by Stefan Betke (aka Pole) at Scape Mastering in Berlin.

Pressed to gold 12″ vinyl and available in limited edition via Amsterdam’s Bordello A Parigi (as well as Mackenzie and O’Regan’s own Joint Account imprint in North America) Obraz represents a new and distinctive chapter in both Polish and Canadian electronic music.

Sau Poler makes his return to Atomnation with Nocturno, a debut album that finds him pushing himself beyond his usual confines. The nine immersive, meticulously crafted tracks arrive in Spring 2021 and come with original artwork by New York artist Jane Dickson. Sau Poler is part of a so-called golden generation of Spanish producers alongside the likes of Pional, John Talabot and Bawrut. He has put out three EPs on this label before landing on others such as Mule Musiq, Modern Obscure Music and Fort Romeau’s Cin Cin, where he honed his organic house, techno and ambient fusions. They’re often bright but obscure, intimate and contemporary, with taut samples and shuffling beats that manage to be leftfield as well as nostalgic, and have had support from the likes of Kelly Lee Owens and Dixon. All that also plays out in his DJ sets which have taken him all over Europe to the likes of DGTL and Sonar. This new album was recorded between 2018 and 2020 in Poler’s studio in Badalona. Two years of experimentation, expanding his methods of composition and moving out of his comfort zone eventually lead to the concept of Nocturno. It’s an album that draws on those special late night feelings: introspective sounds, a middle ground between lightness and dark, euphoria and loneliness. It means the music is often hypnotic and mystic, with references to the conceptual movies, sonic obscurities and the video games of his youth. Two pieces of gear were also key to shape that sound: the Roland JD800 synth and the Roland Chorus Echo-301 tape delay, which help lend the whole thing a cohesive, immersive feel, with some first ever uses of an electric guitar and trumpet also adding further colour and emotion.

Stiletti Ana, part of the dreamy sunbathed electronic duo “Jesse” and top tier in Finnish music production is releasing a new solo album, “I’m an arpeggiator” on Höga Nord Rekords. This album carries similarities to Jesse in both production and sounds but hides more ancient wisdom. A refined sound but with more edges left sharp and more of a mysterious vibe.

As the sound professor he is, Stiletti Ana takes you in a tour of his vast collection of vintage synthesisers and in centre of attention sits the arpeggiator (hence the album title) which gives the sound much of its repetitive character. Recorded in the legendary Haista II-studio outside Helsinki, “I’m an arpeggiator” channels the energies from the waters and forest surrounding the studio, giving the music its’s escapistic and romantic character.

This record is a transcendental trip down the paths of Boards of Canada and Manuel Göttsching, dedicated to the ancient Babylonian fishing god, Dagan.

Documented during peak isolation times in Los Angeles, between December 2020 and January 2021. These pieces were performed as Live AV pieces from 2017-2019, at Coaxial Arts, Zebulon and Desert Daze 2019, but not documented in a release until later. Signal processing and sequencing frameworks built in Max 8 with signals generated from Prophet '08, a broken AW16G, 0-coast, Max, and a MC-909. With the context of the electromagnetic medium, the absence of live performance and moving visuals and the new "spirit" of the pestilent times, "Cutting Them All Off" should barely be represented as reworks of the originally performed pieces. What was once pulsing and blasting out of PA speakers live is now referenced as a distant past document. These pieces (for better or for worse) have been removed and cut-off from their contextual source and can only be presented in their displaced/liberated state. Like a fish out of water gasping for air, or the only drunk survivor of a car crash that was his fault.

Christopher Reid Martin started Rotary ECT in 2016. The project focuses on highly active signal processes on synchronized Audio -> Visual signals, with many signals being constructed to self-generate. Much like a rotary machine's rotation, the process is consistent and signalled when turned on. Much like electroconvulsive therapy, a human need to be there to actively monitor and attend to the process and generation of the signals being emitted.

Christopher currently works for Cycling '74, is a curatorial/programmer at Coaxial Arts Foundation and ⅓ of curators (alongside J.Prey and J. Rivera) behind the ephemeral stream Cathode TV/Cathode Cinema. Christopher continues to show gallery works, both virtual and physical, digital and video works and performs in other numerous events and projects such as Bailouts, CGRSM (with Gabie Strong), Shelter Death, Gate (with Michael Morley) and Via Injection. He has performed and collaborated with artists Joseph Hammer, Bryce Loy (RIP), Tetuzi Akiyama, Christopher Thompson, James Roemer, Andrew Scott, Gabie Strong, Michael Morley, Lev Abramov and many others.

Paris 1985... ‘Extra-European’ Traditions meet Jazz and Minimal Music. An unusual array of instruments turn music into a dialogue. For a unique record ... vivid, full of texture, somewhere between Midori Takada, Don Cherry and Jon Hassell.

Beginning of the eighties, 5 musicians rehearse in a contemporary dance class hall, upstairs from the ‘’New Morning", renowned Music venue in Paris. Nyssa Musique is born. Passionate for a long time about traditional music, like those of the Middle East, India and East Asia, but also about African traditions, they throw a bridge between Jazz and ‘Extra-European’ traditions, resulting in what would be called "Spiritual Jazz" today, a little bit in the style of Don Cherry's Organic Music or Pharoah Sanders. With the notable difference, however, that their creations are strongly infused by contemporary classical and repetitive music, notably Steve Reich's work with whom they share a great interest for the traditional cultures of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia and its gamelans.

In the original group we have Armand Amar, Ballet Music composer and John Boswell. Both specialists of traditional hand percussion which they had been studying for a long time in India and the Middle East, they are also very fond of synthesizers. Three other talented musicians quickly join them: Jean-François Roger, percussionist, marimba and vibraphone specialist, Henri Tournier, multi-flutist and Renaud Garcia-Fons, double bass player, who has a passion for the Middle East and has developed a virtuosic play of the bow, reminding that of Cecil Mc Bee.

Each of them enriches the ensemble with their personality, originality and musical generosity. The rehearsal hall is rapidly invaded by the phenomenal instrumentarium put together by Armand Amar. A great opportunity for the musicians, for the dancers, to have access to an endless choice of instruments, offering infinite possibilities for mixing different colors and timbres. Their sense for being a group and their great capacity for improvising culminates, in 1986, in the composition of their first and only album Comme au Moulin (« As by the windmill"), testimony of years of creating without hidden agenda.

Authentic, free and vibrant, still today, this album has no real equivalent. Even though it recalls the Fourth World current by its combination of traditional instruments with a subtle use of synthesizers, Comme au moulin gives more space to improvisation. It may also recall those of Midori Takada, less the New Age esthetics. An album that should delight as well lovers of "Love Supreme" by John Coltrane, of "Vernal Equinox" by Jon Hassell, as those of Moondog, an artist who, like them, invented a music based on the use of untypical percussions, at the confluence of 'Extra-European' traditions, Jazz and Classical, all together complex and hypnotic.

Pomassl's Seismik Krew gathers and expands more than 3 decades sonic search and processing. This double album follows the rhythmical side of Pomassl's work, inhering elements of the Skeleton series (est. 1996), heavy syncopated leftfiled, and always psychoactive chains of industrial techno. Consistanty keeping the world of sound brim filled in a masterly manner the narration consists of solo tracks, remixes and collaborations with the late Randy Barracuda, as well as DJ Sotofett and Alessandro Cortini.

“In a recent interview David Toop described the studio to be “a concept of the mind, a place where you can create other worlds”. The very same perceptual methodology appears be at the heart of the studio processes of Deep Nalström whose latest EP offers a sonic cornucopia overflowing with food for the mind perfect for the journey into outer space via your own inner space.

Opener ‘Low Gravity Ride’ sets you away atop a propulsive fizz of acid bubbles, lustrous synth wash and a lithe percussive groove. Listeners are pleasantly bumped at the mid-point by ‘Astral Variations’- a mid-tempo vacuum jacker reinforced with a fractalised p-funk bassline. A personal highlight is ‘Rainbow Gardens’ - akin to sitting in the exotic grounds of an alien temple in the midst of an afro-cosmic drum circle whilst being laced with extravagant strokes of emotive synth cream.

The tempo increases towards the end of the EP, a rush to oblivion that ends with ‘Underworld Jaunt’ – glorious arcs of arpeggio riding freely above a determined techno canter that gradually peels away as you reach your mind’s eye.

In turbulent times, it’s comforting to commune with the esoteric fantasies of Deep Nalström; richly detailed and beautifully described sonic renderings of a world conceived in his mind and reimagined in yours.”

Mathias Modica's "Sonic Rohstoff" is the new album on Berlin-based label Kryptox Music, Toy Tonics' and Gomma Records' sub label for new forms of Jazz & Electronica. Over the past two decades, Mathias he has made a name for himself by discovering and breaking new talent and styles of music. He produced albums with James Murphy and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, Asia Argento, The Rammellzee and WhoMadeWho just to name a few. The album is a journey through abstract downtempo vibes, lofi jazz and futuristic electronica. This is Modica's first album under his own name, following three albums under his monikers Kapote and Munk. All instruments are performed by Modica himself, embellished by guest musicians from the new Berlin Jazz scene. Most people might know Modica from his earlier works as a producer, keyboard player and founder/ creative mind behind Toy Tonics, Gomma and Kryptox.

With an Arturo Micro brute synthesizer put through psychedelic effects, Modern Ruins keeps the flame of Andrew Weatherall and Suicide burning through times of isolation and disarray. This Synth Wave/New Wave experience of an album, released on LP on Höga Nord Rekords, sums up 2020 with its dark and cold sound.

The title speaks for itself: “Unemployment Disco Line” reflects the desperation in the sound and the reverb-drenched vocals in the back of the soundscape comes from deep within the Covid hole. Sick, fed up and restless!

Drawing influences from masters like the legends above,Rowland S. Howard, Johan Balance + Peter Christopherson et cetera, this debut album by Modern Ruins sums up four decades of underground club music and no matter how long this pandemic goes on we are in “Nothing Blues” until the dance floors open again.

Inspired by cosmology and ancient mythology, the Anunaku project is a continuation of TSVI’s debut album 'Inner Worlds' and aims to explore the use of various drums from around the world combined with elements of UK underground club music.

Fresh off the back of several high impact, club-centring album releases on Maloca, SVBKVLT and his influential, Do Hits label, on top of remixes for artists includingLawfawndah, Charlie XCX & Sophie, Lee presents his most organic andexpansive project to date. Written, produced and recorded entirely by Leeat the back end of 2018 (with the exception of the album's resident four-piece choir made up of rising Beijing artist, Fishdoll, Shanghaisinger/producer, Yehaiyahan and West by West, with Lee himself alsoincluded), Birdy Island's almost exclusively acoustic yet broad soundpalette threads continuities between ceremonial Taoist music, early Buchla synth experiments, and FWD nights at London's Plastic People.

Karakuchi is a debut 12” self-titled LP and the introductory release to the new London based label, The Florist’s Mum. The ten tracks are unclassifiable, but are best described as a leftfield dance epic with ambient undertones that combine lusciously romantic synthesizers, which bring to mind an amateur Vangelis, mixed with the dreamy chopped & screwed voices, that are all warped within the texture of deteriorating tape loops, and finally set to some surprising structures of bouncy garage kicks and dribbling hi-hats. Karakuchi’s drifting between orchestration and organic crumble are a perfect companion for active electronic music listeners seeking experimentation and new depths of sincerity.

Everything starts with a message Jörg Burger sent me in January 2020, asking me to feature in the Kompakt - Velvet Desert Music Vol.2 compilation, an homage to psychedelic music and to the 60s/70s acid western universe.

Some days before I was at Apolo and I saw this super cool set by The Limiñanas, I was instantly obsessed and I told myself they would be the perfect choice for this project. After contacting them on Instagram, Variation sur 3 bancs slowly takes shape between Barcelona and Montpellier: Lionel's calm voice, his expressive guitar work and his delirious lyrics were an almost magically pitch-perfect match to my electronic experiments.

Flattered and happy of all the feedbacks about the original version, I decided to put this song back into the spotlight to announce the release of my next album, Piscolabis, and asking three of my favourite artists to remix it: Superpitcher, Pilooski and Destino, who, talented as they are, brought Variation sur 3 bancs to some places I would have never been able to do myself.

It has been almost 30 years since Mantris shared music with the world. Together with his good friend Christoph Waelkens, the producer was the driving force behind pioneering house outfits The Black Sun and Brown Hardware Inc. Their creative connection led to three consecutive releases in 1992 on cult label Elektron, a short-term sublabel of USA Import Records. A productive music career was forecasted, but Mantris vanished into thin air and no more music was ever heard of him.
Until early 2020, when Brussels based Kong DJ got his hands on a mysterious playlist. Sent from Bombay in India, little information was annexed apart from a reference to the above mentioned records Mantris produced - favorites in Kong’s record bag for many years. Blown away by what he heard, the DJ decided to launch a new record label and invited good friends Hill Men to join forces. Borrowing the original playlist’s title ‘Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities’ as label name, their first release is what you hold in front of you.

mantris, real name Dirk Eggermont, prefers to stay under the radar. In his small apartment in Bombay he hasn’t stopped making music ever since he left Belgium twenty years ago. He composes instinctively, far away from hypes and contemporary scenes, creating intriguing and timeless jams. Utterly cinematic, his story-telling is rich and phantasy provoking. Each of the 10 tracks pencils a singular atmosphere, yet the 40 minutes entirety comes as a coherent whole full of surprising sounds and meandering dreams. Close your eyes for a unique musical vision here offered as a 12” album, reminiscing of the finests UK leftfield experiments, Detroit future sounds of jazz and sophisticated house not house.

Baroque Sunburst co-founder and Honest Jon’s team member, Big Hands displays his potent production prowess on the next Oscilla Sound release with three tracks touching on organic soundscapes, illbience and muddy bass oddities. In the old city of Lakamha ancient tombs stand tall and ruined, woven with moss. Birds as old as time beat their wings over tropical forests; their cries bouncing off wet rock lassoed with carvings of Mayan symbols. ‘1346’ begins with stirring synths and dub-echoing, low frequencies encompassing both spatiality and aberration before the heads-down atmospheric roller ‘Calix’s Head’ lays down sharp, acid flutters and ghostly ripples. ‘Louis H theme’ is an ode to the radical minimalist composer Moondog (Louis Thomas Hardin), whose experiments with polyrhythms continue to influence numerous generations of musicians. The track features swampy bass that balances weightlessly with the hypnotic sonics and breezy rhythms.

Following last year’s ‘Monster Skies’ comes another 6 track mini-lp of original works from label head Jura Soundsystem. Once again the EP aims to bring together the melting pot of influences that also inspire the label, Dub, Ambient House, Leftfield Disco and Balearica. This is an appetizer : 4 “club” mixes of new tracks from Joakim’s forthcoming album Second Nature,all re-mixed by the man himself, navigating between hypnotic Techno, trance-inducing Downtempo
and percussive New Beat.
This is probably Joakim’s most ambitious project so far. An album about our relationship to Nature to make it short or how Western civilization disconnected Nature from Culture. Every song was born
using field recordings as a basis canvas, the sounds of Nature are the lead voice here. A nature that is transformed, sublimized, questioning our ideas of what’s artificial, what’s the wilderness, the place of humans in the age of the Anthropocene and painting a psychedelic landscape to open our ears and our hearts.
The artwork features a lenticular print (2 images in 1) showing Naruto, a monkey who took a selfie using a photographer’s camera who later tried to claim the copyright of that image. That claim raised questions whether copyright can be extended to “non-humans” and was ultimately rejected by the U.S. Copyright Office who specifically listed 'a photograph taken by a monkey' as an example of an item that cannot be copyrighted.

Omnia Vanitas – the newest compilation from the emerging France-based label Lowlife Cartel – explores musical horizons from jungle to rap and combines dance music with an experimentalHoneälome (ABCD) opens the EP with a catchy saturated beat layered with distorted vocals. Kuzma Palkin (Gost Zvuk, Wicked Bass), also known as Kausto, features his minimal production with the immersive rap flow of MC Suprem Cam. Solotape (Low Income $quad) ends Side A with a heavily deconstructed experimental sound, oscillating between techno and an analogue lofi vibe. Side B kicks off with the invention of emo jungle – "Tru man cry", by Hajj (Dawn, BFDM), a cutting-edge jungle-leaning track mixed with a detached vocal sample in the background. "y-x4-rec", by Buttechno (Rassvet), is a more grounded ambient track with a focus on texture, but without sacrificing the dystopian, singular productions of this artist. "Purgatory", by the rapper duo 2Beast featured by Ko$te, on canadian producer Hexmane's beat, closes the EP on a dark Memphis rap vibe, with mastering by Studio Martyrs.Once again, the newest compilation represents a solid roster of emerging, genre pushing artists and some of the biggest cats in the game.

‘Cycles & Causality’ by TRIGGER is an album containing two tracks that stretch over side A and B. Its musical expression lives somewhere between club music, ambient and musique concrète but refuses to entirely fall into any of these categories – equally fitting on the dance-floor as in in-depth listening sessions at home. TRIGGER is an audiovisual collaboration between musician/composer Stephan Meidell NO and Blank Blank Film (Petri Henriksson FI and Carlos Vasques CO). Although the music on the resulting release is made by Meidell himself. ‘Cycles & Causality’ is released both digitally and on vinyl – accompanied by a beautiful 16-page booklet with photos from the live performances of this project and scans of the images produced in that process. The release thus becomes an extension of Meidell’s sound universe, making it a complete package and must-have for any collector and adventurous DJ.

The first track ‘Flutter’ is an exhilarating, energetic bomb with an engaging, underlying arpeggiated structure on a robotic zither throughout the 16-minute track. It creates an uplifting and open atmosphere, where the voluminous sonic landscape gives an orchestral feel. This track is an all-out braindance! It allows you to shift focus between the many layers of sound and frequently reveals new intriguing compositional ideas and textures. A choir of 24 canary birds adds lightful and lively melodic voices to the composition.

The second track ‘Undulation’ on side B and has a more constant pulse and evocative character to it. An extensive repertoire of small acoustic sounds and textures makes out a playful and hypnotic sonic environment that keeps the listener alert and interested during the 15 and a half minutes that make up side B. The multi-layering of sounds invites the listener to participate in the track’s many twists and turns.

US based label, Lurid welcomes Spanish producer Señora for a stunning new double gatefold album entitled ‘Fósil’ that showcases his unique take on hypnotic rhythm, found sounds and sampling.

Señora became a firm favourite with the likes of Andrew Weatherall (R.I.P.) and Sean Johnston for his rugged grooves and innovative approach to production, melding the sounds of machines, animals, electricity and other weird noises in a flurry of FX and sonic experimentation. He debuted on this label in 2017 and has also landed on Shango Records, Night Noise and LNDKHN since then. Now based in Berlin and a regular at clubs and festivals round Europe he offers up a debut album that features nine stunning pieces that ”aim to reflect on the next evolutionary steps of the human race".

The otherworldly ‘Preludio: Ocaso Hominido’ kicks off with a swampy bass sound overlaid with cosmic details and downtempo drums. It’s a brilliantly mysterious opener than leads on to ‘Antropoceno’, a spacious soundtrack with bubbling synths, undulating drums and plenty of sonic details that paint a picture of a starry night sky up above. The tumbling drums of ‘Segundo Sexo’ sink you into a dubby reverie with bird calls and wordless vocal sounds mixing with percolating percussion.

The excellent ‘El Elefante Que Siempre Andaba Solo’ is a perfectly flabby and chugging dark disco cut with bright chords and scintillating drum work while ‘Código y Marfil’ is a futurist landscape in outer space with modulated synths and deft astral details making it colourful and cinematic. This most escapist of listens then plays out through the supple bass warbles and spacecraft sound effects of the entrancing ‘Papaver Somniferum’ and churning drums and twisted bass funk of the brilliantly slow burning ‘El Último Discurso’ before closing on ‘Fuga: La Gran Desconexión’ a downbeat offering with myriad pads circling the skies above a deeply rooted rhythm.

This is a hugely atmospheric album of perfectly realised inter planetary sounds, the whole thing taking you on a cerebral and evocative journey far away from here.

Following up his debut release on SOEX, Whitvoir welcomes local Warrandyte producer Jon Jones to the label launch with ‘Airflow.’ A four track expedition through the environments that we call home in Australia, native birds and wildlife simulate a listening experience similar to that of a day spent in God’s country. Organic, ‘Outback Trance’ produced to suit all listening environments around the globe.

Mystic jungle is a percussive journey that transports you straight to the bush, suiting barefoot groovers warming up for the day. Dubbed out 80s synths paired with organic percussions bring a tribal feel grabbing attention with spaced out native bird calls. Mystic Jungle’s solid groove and big chuggy bass lines are guaranteed to have you in an ‘Australiana’ dream trance like state.

Transupial brings an airy tribal groove, choppy and boppy with a wubby 303 that keeps the track moving along. Pitched kalimbas bring a quirky flavour which gets deep and dystopian as the track progresses. ‘Totally Wild.’ The title track ‘Airflow’ is a captivating atmospheric journey through space, delicate deep and dubby suited for dancefloors around the globe. Rolling breaks, natural percussion paired with a chuggy 303 bass line and pan flute from an 80s Roland Synth capture a new flavour of Australian dance music.

Phantom spirit picks up the pace encouraging the ones and twos, washy hats, rolling kicks and 80s toms sprinkled throughout bring character to Jone’s production. Trancey synth lines with airy vocals bring the spirit of the phantom to life, paired with a wavy 303 line keeping the track ever-evolving. One to keep your ear out for at festivals around the world over the coming seasons.

gewesen. Schlussendlich aber haben wohl die gefühlten 12000
Jahre Danceoor-Erfahrung der beteiligten Protagonisten die
EP benannt. Dass das Ganze dabei absolut fresh rüberkommt,
steht außer Frage. Den Auftakt zu der Mini-Compilation liefern
Tino Bohne und Benjamin Brunn aka The Hangout Project mit
- I´m crazy about you', einer charmanten Elektronik-Nummer,
die durch ein wunderschön und dezent eingesetztes VocalSample sowie einer sowas von überraschend loslegenden 4/4-
Bassline überzeugt. Diese erinnert auch sofort daran, dass
man zum tanzen auf der Welt ist. Weiter geht es mit Le
Rubriques Abenteuern in der - Bar Celona'. Ob diese nun in
Katalonien oder Hessen steht, weiß man nicht. Die Tonart ist
auf jeden Fall nach Frankfurter Art, so dass der Bembel bebt.
Kez YM ist sowieso egal, in welcher Region oder Galaxie sich
etwas bendet. Mit - CL05VER06' lässt er Raum und Zeit auf
jeder Tanzäche links und rechts der Milchstraße zerießen,
wie es auf unserem Planeten noch am ehesten die großen
Meister in Michigan zelebrieren. Und dass Johannes Albert
seinen ganz eigenen - Style of House' hat, sollte nun wirklich
jeder wissen. Ob in der Waldschänke Dornheim oder im Boiler
Room Amsterdam! Check!

Varuna returns to their homebase with a heavy double pack of sci-fi techno jams. Over the course of five tracks they explore a lively space in between murky slo-mo techno and tripped out ambient mutations.

Apulati Bien is back on Promesses with an 8 track EP called ‘RER TRACKS’. All sketches of these songs were formerly composed in early 2017 during Apulati's RER journeys (Paris suburban train) on an iPhone 4 using field recordings from the phone and the iMPC app. Then put together and re-arranged some years later in his Brussels studio. Each song is like the soundtrack of a different train journey, bringing eclectic vibes between de-construct dancehall, mutant dub and dark ambient. "OUEST" and "Oz" contain vocal featurings (also recorded on a phone) from Mexican artist Vica Pacheco and Haitian MC Damoreless Zoekila.

30/70 and Rhythm Section team up once more to deliver their most ambitious remix package to date. Call outs to friends and family of the label and collective offered up a selection of some of the most exciting electronic music producers in the scene and the fruits of the collaboration have arrived.

The remix package continues 30/70’s practise of rebirthing their music in a contemporary club sound but this time takes that intention a step further, veering into unexpected and more experimental territory for the band, calling in a new era for their musical endeavours.

The record opens with a duo that need no introduction, label legends Chaos In The CBD work their magic on TLF, playing on Josh Kelly’s drawn out noir-esque sax notes and Allysha’s whispering tones to create a sultry and sophisticated house number in their typically infectious style.

Next up Utrecht native Carista enters with the sound of the Netherlands for a new wave electro trip fresh off her BBC Radio 1 residency.

Tornado Wallace takes us straight to a hot pink sunset on the long lost festival floor with his Red Face Mix of Tastes Like Freedom.

Closing out are the cerebral and ethereal sounds of Yu Su’s Midnight Blossom Remix, where the Kaifeng-born composer, DJ and sound artist continues her exploration of ‘fourth world’ ambience and left-field dance music.

Over the last few years, 30/70 have become something of a supergroup: with Allysha Joy, Ziggy Zeitgeist, Josh Kelly and Matthew Hayes all soaring as solo artists and band leaders. Individual talents aside, there’s nothing quite like the 30/70 collective united as one unstoppable force; and the synergy is
palpable in this tantalising tour-de force.

Chomp! Chomp! is a new label by Brooklyn based DJ/producers Timo Lee and Mark Chittom. Together they are long-standing members of the dance music community, both in Hawaii at DJ Harvey's Thirtyninehotel and in Brooklyn at Good Room. The label's focus is eclectic dance music created by underground dance producers, aimed at DJ’s and casual fans alike. The first EP - Chomp! Chomp! presents the debut of Golden Mammals - a collaboration between Eric from America and Chittom. Eric is a multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer with a unique style that pulls from a variety of genres. He is also an active drummer for TV Baby (with members of A.R.E. Weapons), as well as several other bands in New York and past projects in Hawaii. The EP has three original tracks and a remix. "An Hour a Day with You” blends acid house and techno with an obscure leftfield vocal by Chittom. The remix is a dubby techno slow-burner that will work in a variety of settings. On the other side, with two tracks by Eric from America, "At the Met Gala" & "For the Crowd” are two groovy techno-ish tracks with Eric’s unique touches - both are dancefloor and living room friendly.
