Rozalia by Rodion G.A. is the fourth record release on Inversions. It is a third collection of archive recordings from Rodion Rosca, collated from two radio recording sessions from 1978 and 1983. The music is a rough distillation of Rodion's DIY approach to music and instrumentation, encompassing psychedelic garage and prog styles.

The album has received reviews in Uncut and Shindig magazines to date, with more scheduled in the coming months, including The Wire and Mojo.

The second album on the artist's own label! - All the Luck in the World are three Irish songwriters, Neil Foot, Ben Connolly and Kelvin Barr currently based in Berlin. In 2013/2014 the band received first international attention due to the home-recorded "Never", which sold more than 120.000 singles worldwide. After signing with Barfilm and Haldern Pop Records, they released their eponymous self-titled album on January 1st 2014, and subsequently toured the record across Europe. While working on their second album, the band focused on crafting a unique soundscape, creating their own home-made instruments by sampling organic, acoustic sounds. The second album is called A Blind Arcade' and was recorded in the Golden Retriever Studio in Berlin with the help of producer Paul Pilot.

Avril Lavigne is the fifth studio album by Avril Lavigne. It was released in 2013.

Lavigne collaborated with numerous producers including Martin Johnson, Peter Svensson, David Hodges, Matt Squire and her then-partner Chad Kroeger. The album features a more pop and upbeat sound combined with power and piano ballads. Avril Lavigne also incorporates electronic music, industrial and punk rock. The album features two vocal collaborations: Kroeger and American industrial metal singer Marilyn Manson.

The album debuted in the Top 5 in album-charts of the US, Canada, Japan, China and many other countries.

Five singles were released from the album. Its lead single Here's To Never Growing Up' peaked at number one on the in Taiwan and The Philippines. Other singles, including the duet with Chad Kroeger Let Me Go', Rock n Roll', Hello Kitty' and Give You What You Like' became succesful international hits.

Avril Lavigne received two award nominations, The Juno Award for best Pop Album and World Music Award for World's Best Album.

Smack Bunny Baby is the debut album from the band Brainiac, released in July 1993 on Grass Records. Long out-of-print, it is also the only album by the group to feature founding guitarist Michelle Bodine. After she left the band, John Schmersal filled in for guitar duties and stayed with the band until their break up in 1997.

Bonsai Superstar is the second album from the band Brainiac, released in 1994. It is the first album on which guitarist John Schmersal appears. Originally released through Grass Records, and long out-of-print, the album was recorded in Brooklyn, New York with engineering and production done by Girls Against Boys bassist Eli Janney. While the album received little critical attention upon its initial release in 1994, today it is considered one of the best recordings by the band.

Senegalese master Lamine Cissokho has played kora all his life. This has led him all over the world, to many musical collaborations and praise from the likes of Toumani Diabaté.Lamine is currently living in Sweden where he is constantly touring in different line-ups. Up 'til now he has released two previous solo albums. Full of great singing and rhythms- this is something else.

If you want to make it easy, the basic theme of the new, fourth album "Being Empty: Being Filled" could be the reference to all the outstanding personalities being presented on it. Neuschnee zelebrieren seit ihrer Single "Umami" einen neuen Stilbruch. Nicht nur, dass Hans Wagner auf Englisch singt, auch die Musik ist irgendwie nicht ganz so wie wir Neuschnee in Erinnerung haben. Das Streichquartett ist noch da, aber diesmal unterlegt mit einem Hip Hop-Beat und knalligen Synthesizern.

Als der passionierte Allroundmusiker Hans Wagner beschloss sein altes Leben in Berlin hinter sich zu lassen, standen zwei Städte seiner damaligen Idole für ein neues Leben zur Auswahl: entweder Seattle, der letzte Wohnort Kurt Cobains, oder Wien, der Geburtsort von Franz Schubert. Er entschied sich für Wien und schnupperte die Luft klassischer Musiktradition. Dort gründete er die Band Neuschnee mit der Vision einer eigenen Tonsprache zwischen Pop, Rock und Klassik. 2008 erschien das Debüt "Wegweiser", überwiegend in der klassischen Streichquartettbesetzung ohne Schlagzeug. 2011 fand Neuschnee auf "Bipolar" zu seiner ureigenen Sprache - musikalisch wie textlich. 5 Jahre hat es gedauert bis zum Nachfolger "Schneckenkönig", der im April 2016 erschien.

"Oakland, CA's No Babies return with their second LP, another furiously ecstatic exploration of the overlapping margins of punk, hardcore, and no wave. The pieces we've come to expect are all here: Jasmine Watson's invectives against capitalism, binaries, police; Ricky Martyr's inimitable and always surprising stop-start guitar; horns of all stripes breaking through the noise (Misha Poleschuck on tenor sax, clarinet); a nimble and powerful jazz-influenced rhythm section (Laura DeVeber on bass, Sean Nieves on drums).
Their particular brand of composed/improvised noise/music has never been chaos at all (they've always known exactly what they're doing), and this time around the band seems more at one than ever, aided by the crispness and brightness of Jack Shirley's able production. Ziemlich genau ein Jahr ist nun seit der Veröffentlichung seines letzten Albums 'Nacht' vergangen. Seitdem hat Martin Kohlstedts Mut, den Dialog zu suchen, anscheinend überzeugt, denn das Resultat sind acht sehr unterschiedliche Stücke von Künstlern aus Deutschland, Island, Großbritannien und den USA. Manche wirken wie ein feinfühliger Kommentar zum Original, andere sind komplett verschiedene Perspektiven auf das Ausgangsmaterial. Und einige sind zum Anlass für gemeinsame Projekte geworden, in denen man sich auf Augenhöhe etwas vollkommen Neuem widmet - allesamt der Idee folgend, dass Kohlstedts Musik nicht fest geschrieben ist, sondern fortwährend in Verhandlung.

Martin Kohlstedts zweites Album "Nacht" (2014) bezieht sich direkt auf den Vorgänger und ist dennoch die Verkehrung seiner Perspektive nach innen. Hat der Komponist in "Tag" (2012) noch verspielt Fragen gestellt, folgen jetzt in aller Konsequenz neun Monologe. Diese reduzierten Stücke sprechen mit einer unterdrückten Ruhelosigkeit, distanzieren sich aber vermehrt vom Leichtfertigen. In ihnen arbeitet Kohlstedt hart an sich selbst, Repetition und rhythmische Verwandlungen entwickeln eine nach innen gerichtete Dynamik. Aus dem entstehenden Sog befreit sich die "Nacht" immer wieder neu, selbst in ihren schwerfälligsten Momenten. Und unterbewusst möchte man daran glauben, sich festhalten an diesem Gerüst, noch während es Anschlag für Anschlag konstruiert wird. Ein Ankommen ist für Martin Kohlstedt aber noch Utopie, die "Nacht" erzählt vom Suchen nach einem passenden Ort dafür. Sie ist deswegen nicht immer leicht zugänglich - vertraut sich aber ihren Hörern bedingungslos an. Persönlicher können moderne Kompositionen nicht werden.

Nun ist er Musiker und hat ein Solo Piano Album aufgenommen. "Tag" ist ein Rückzugsort, ist Sehnsucht, ist ein "Vorausmusizieren"des nächsten Schrittes, ist filmhaftes Schaupspiel und Drang nach Definition und Erklärung. Nach Unterricht in interaktivem Klavier, Filmmusiken, Verbindungen in Projekte des Erfurter Zughafens und Expeditionen in elektronische Musik mit dem Kollektiv Marbert Rocel ist "Tag" die erste Solo Veröffentlichung von Martin Kohlstedt. Ein intimer Einblick in die Nächte, das Verarbeiten des Musikers. Reduziert auf Klavier entstehen hinerzählte Landschaften und skizzenhaft gemalte Kompositionen. Der extrem minimale Ansatz, die Schönheit in den detailverliebt arrangierten Figuren, die karge mathematische Ausformung einzelner Sequencen werden zum Sog. "Tag" ist Zeitraffer und Super Slow Motion zu gleichen Teilen.

* The narrative thread,' Furman declares, is I'm in love with an angel, and a government is after us, and we have to leave home because angels are illegal, as is harbouring angels. The term 'transangelic' refers to the fact people become angels because they grow wings. The have an operation, and they're transformed. And it causes panic because some people think it's contagious, or it should just be outlawed.'
* The album still works without the back story, though,' he vouches. What's essential is the mood - paranoid, authoritarian, the way certain people are stigmatised. It's a theme in American life right now, and other so-called democracies.'

'Fist & Shout' is the debut release from Glasgow band Leatherette - currently now known as Total Leatherette - and the first to be released on Domestic Exile.

Recorded at the now infamous Green Door Studios, the album is a raw, visceral interpretation of instrumental post-punk, no wave, drone and industrial, complete with a fully immersive and foreboding gothic atmosphere.

Traces of minimal electronics and manipulated effects / vocals are present throughout, engulfing ones entire body with a sudden cold adrenaline rush - teeth rattling, muscles contracting, nails nervously scratching at walls, shivering - a combination of detached, minimalist drum machines, rhythmic noise and dense processed mutations mechanically dislocating as if oil is needed to stop the rust from corroding the engine. Chilling feedback loops, effects pedals and brutal yet infectious bass guitar grooves leave us stunned, shackled, agitated, weary and submissive.

Thematically channelling a hidden narrative of societal repression, queer sexual frustration and sleazy hedonism, the record conveys a twisted and alienating distorted version of reality.

During live performances the duo are shrouded in darkness, venues left pitch black with nothing but strobe lights to disturb ones eye sight. The intense and thought provoking suspense that is experienced at a Leatherette show uniquely translates to the duos recorded material.

Musically, influences can be traced back to radical counter-culture movements and their pioneers, most notably D.A.F., Malaria and Geile Teire during Berlins NDW period through to the 'Ambulance Station' nexus - Bourbonese Qualk and Zahgurim in London or Ike Yard, Nitzer Ebb and R.L. Crutchfield's Dark Day during New York's No Wave period to Minimal Man, however it is important to note that while comparisons can be drawn the music of Leatherette is never derivative or emulating in its approach.

Finally, lifelong Levellers fan Frank Turner joined the band in the studio - breathing new life into Julie - bringing us back full circle for another generation of the disenfranchised to discover the Levellers for the first time.

For the last 17 years, Dicte Vestergaard Madsen and Claus Hempler have sold out Danish venues with an annual concert series called The Dark and Stormy Sessions,' traditionally backed by guitarist Mika Vandborg. Uppers' is their first true studio album, a tale of two souls finding common ground in taste and authenticity. The urgency and viscera - both live and on record - that led Yorkshire-based five-piece Hookworms to prominence across two blistering full length albums, 2013's 'Pearl Mystic' and 2014 follow-up 'The Hum', remains. However, as they return with
their much-anticipated third record 'Microshift', the band deliver a seismic shift in their sound, dynamic, songwriting and production.
Radiant, immersive and teeming with light but still heavy and forceful, the music on 'Microshift' acts as a very deliberate counter to some of the difficult topics the album's lyrics address - ranging from death, disease, heartbreak, body image and even natural disaster.

Bob Dylan and Tom Petty formed one of the most legendary live pairings of the 1980s. On this superb set, live together at the Entertainment Centre, Sydney Australia in 1986, broadcast on KSAN-FM, Petty's band, the Heartbreakers, are polished to brilliance, while Dylan's delivery is flawless on every song. Taking in a cross-section of classic material by both headliners, it's presented here in superb fidelity, and comes with background notes, images and a bonus CD.

Tom Petty was at the peak of his career and fast becoming a cornerstone of American blue-collar rock as well as an MTV regular. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' 1989 Strange Behaviour tour found the band in somewhat troubled territory promoting what was Petty's acclaimed debut solo album Full Moon Fever, a collaborative effort that involved most of The Heartbreakers and ELO's Jeff Lynne. To add to the discomfort, Petty and Lynne were also cavorting to great success as the Travelling Wilburys with Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and George Harrison.
The Heartbreakers gave an energetic and charged performance showing that the band were still very much intact and in control, teasing the crowd with a selection of their revered repertoire spanning eight albums and thirteen years of all-American appeal.
