Throughout Remind Me Tomorrow, Sharon Van Etten veers towards the driving, dark glimmer moods that have illuminated the edges of her music and pursues them full force. With curling low vocals and brave intimacy, Remind Me Tomorrow is an ambitious album that provokes our most sensitive impulses: reckless affections, spirited nurturing, and tender courage. The songs on Remind Me Tomorrow have been transported from Van Etten's original demos through John Congleton's arrangement. Congleton helped flip the signature Sharon Van Etten ratio, making the album more energetic-upbeat than minimal-meditative. The songs are as resonating as ever, the themes are still an honest and subtle approach to love and longing, but Congleton has plucked out new idiosyncrasies from Van Etten's sound. For Remind Me Tomorrow, Van Etten put down the guitar. The album shows a magnetism towards new instruments: piano keys that churn, deep drones, distinctive sharp drums. It was "reverb universe" she says of the writing. There are intense synths, a propulsive organ, a distorted harmonium. The breadth of Van Etten's passions (musical, emotional, otherwise), of new careers and projects and lifelong roles, have inflected Remind Me Tomorrow with a wise sense of a warped-time perspective. This is the tension that arches over the album, fusing a pained attentive realism and radiant lightness about new love.

'Dutch sonic experimentalists 35007's eponymous sophomore album (later referred to, more often than not, as Into the Void We Travelled) did much to fine-tune and expand the breadth of the group's style: a clever mix of analog and electronic effects and psych, stoner, and Krautrock influences. Opening statement "Herd" cleverly dissects society's disdain for individuality atop a hypnotic motorik framework spiced with electronics, while subsequent standouts like "Soul Machine," "Big Bore" (which is anything but), and the supremely danceable "Powertruth" bolster guitar riffing to stoner rock thresholds. All of these benefit from Eeuwout Baart's gritty, soulful vocals, which often bring Dave Wyndorf to mind and thus make "Monster Magnet tripping at a rave" a very apt description for the proceedings. ....Instead, the album's remaining highlights include the organ-laden "66" and the semi-epic "Undo," which, along with the closing ten-minute instrumental "Locker," bask in swirling, spacy synth effects for an ambient landscaping effect that would duly come to fruition on 35007's best-known opus, Liquid, some years later. ....' Their first studio recordings, the Teenage Movie Soundtrack EP, arrived the following summer to continued acclaim, before the band retreated to the studio to work on the debut album. Two years later the band emerged with DIVINE BIKER LOVE, a distinct collection of songs where Persephona's grunge pop sensibilities meets influences from shoegaze and dream pop, as well as hard rock - a collection of songs that couldn't have been made by any other band.

Bivouac did everything a 3-piece alternative rock band from Derby, who grew up on a steady diet of Husker Du, Sonic Youth and The Pixies, could dream of doing in the nineties. They released a string of records on cool indie label Elemental, recorded sessions for John Peel, played with Fugazi and Jesus Lizard, danced onstage with Nirvana, signed to a major label and split up. They'd began in 1992 and were over by 1996, but in that brief period, Bivouac crafted some essential, skewed and fuzzy tuneage that has endured and lingered on the cult fringes of alternative rock, remember fondly by those that were there as the band got on with the rest of their lives.

Then in 2016 they returned. It's all Stewart Lee's fault. Sometime that year the stand-up comedian, writer and director wrote a Guardian column that mentioned Bivouac. This brief mention was read by the good people who organise Gigantic, the popular nostalgia festival in Manchester who were fans of the band, who promptly asked the band to play that year.

'What shall we wear', that's the first thing that drummer Antony Hodkinson said in response to the question of 'shall we do some gigs after not playing for 20 odd years',' explains singer and guitarist Paul Yeadon. 'And that was pretty much the spirit of the few shows we played together thereafter! We made a racket (with earplugs this time), celebrated the folly of youth, grown men cried, people travelled from Scandinavia, Europe and America. It was very humbling...we planned a few more.'

All of which leads us to 2018, where the band have indeed planned a few more. This year marks the 25th anniversary of 'Tuber', their debut album, and to celebrate such an event, this September 7th sees the release of a beautifully presented double vinyl reissue. Remastered by Paul Yeadon himself, the album is coupled with the first official release of the two sessions recorded for John Peel in '92 and '94 and issued through the band's own label Thanks Capitalism in a limited run of 500 copies.

'Tuber was recorded on a farm in Warwickshire, we played a lot of golf on the then cutting-edge Sega Megadrive,' remembers Paul. 'At this point we had played a lot of shows and still liked one another, we were match fit and well-rehearsed. I think the combination of being confident at what we were doing but still not being really aware of why or what we were doing, (the needless pouring and scab picking would come later) made for a heartfelt and naïve record. Simplistic and uncontrived.'

And of the Peel sessions Paul remembers...

'We all grew up listening to Peel. It's a cliché I know but I listened under the bedclothes on an AM radio to his show in the early 80's. The music he played me then still defines a large percentage of my musical taste. To be part of that legacy is still really humbling, we are very proud to release the Peel sessions. I remember him playing us as I walked across the Reading show grounds, puffing my chest out! He kindly supplied us and our labelmates AC Acoustics with beer from the VIP tent cos we were skint, we did awful radio interviews with him and he had us do three sessions. It really was a dream come true.'

Arguably one of the most acclaimed and loved bands of the past 20 years, by both fans and their musical peers alike, The Beta Band formed in St. Andrews, Scotland, in 1996. Innovative and singular, their unique musical and aesthetic approach to everything they did set them far apart from their musical contemporaries. Together for a relatively short period of time, the three albums and three EPs they released between 1996 and 2004 would nonetheless help define them as one of the most exciting and cherished bands of their generation. Released in 1999, the album The Beta Band' followed the critically acclaimed compilation The Three E.P.'s' (1998). With high anticipation for The Beta Band, the band originally planned to record the album in four separate continents, but financial constraints slimmed the recording locations down, however, the album was still recorded in a variety of locations and pulling inspiration from sources as diverse as Jamaican reggae, Disney's movie The Black Hole' and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart".

Why - Live At Third Man Records

Why ist eine US-amerikanische Indie-Rock-Band mit Hip-Hop- und Folk-Einflüssen aus Berkeley,
Kalifornien. Gründer, Frontmann und Songschreiber von Why ist Jonathan "Yoni" Wolf. Er nutzte den
Bandnamen erstmals 2001. Zwei Jahre später veröffentlichte er solo als Why eine EP und das Album
"Oaklandazulasylum". Erst seit der Veröffentlichung von "Elephant Eyelash" (2005) tritt Why als Gruppe auf.
Nach fünf Jahren Pause erschien mit "Moh Lhean" 2017 das sechste Studioalbum der Formation. Zwei
Monate später hatte sie ein Stelldichein im Hauptquartier von Third Man Records in Nashville. Der Auftritt des
Quartetts im legendären Blue Room wurde wie üblich direkt mitgeschnitten. "Live At Third Man Records"
enthält neun Songs, nur drei davon stammen von "Moh Lhean" - "Proactive Evolution", "One Mississippi" und
"The Barely Blur" -, die anderen von früheren Alben. Insofern darf man die LP auch als inoffizielle
Hitsammlung verstehen.

Growing up on a Hertfordshire cul-de-sac then flying back 'home' to Kenya where her parents were born, shaped in Mara the traveller, the outsider and the romantic, that have become hallmarks of her music. Mara performs with her band (Poppy Ackroyd, Fiddes Smith, Jools Owen, Jamie Patterson) as well as solo.

Mara is classically trained in composition, piano and guitar as well as fine art. She has performed over 300 shows, both on festival stages and intimate concerts, most recent stages include Fusion (Germany), Kaltern Pop (Italy), Together the People (UK) and Sazavafest (Czech). Mara's music has taken her across Europe, to New Zealand, Australia, the US and around home shores in England, performing in venues small and large, some conventional, some extraordinary (including canal boats, caves, and a hospital!). She's become known for captivating audiences with her soulful melodies, rich lyricism, captivating voice, unassuming charm and wicked laugh

THE SILVER FIELD, aka Coral Rose, has announced details of her debut album, Rooms, out on Tim Burgess' O Genesis Recordings.

Rooms was recorded in Coral Rose's bedroom and on the album instruments such as the double bass, cello, guitar, mandolin, harmonium and a bagpipe chanter form loops and layers, her father's old SPX-90 drenching the rich sounds in delays and reverbs. Rooms is the perfect introduction to the sound world of Coral Rose and friends: the EVI (electronic valve instrument, a breath controlled analogue synth) is introduced on the opening track, 'Afire', via Cathy Lucas (Vanishing Twin), and Kiran Bhatt (Red River Dialect) drums on 'Rain'. 'Rain', described by The Quietus as 'a delicate and pleasing creature' earlier this year, has already had support from BBC 6Music's Mary Ann Hobbs.

Rooms follows recent releases on O Genesis by Daniel O'Sullivan (VELD) and Richard Youngs (Belief), and like O'Sullivan and Youngs, whose albums are very much tied to a place - the home, whether through themes or creation - in this case, The Silver Field's Rooms is focused on leaving a home behind, both physically and emotionally.

The home that Coral Rose feels she's leaving behind on Rooms is an old sense of self - encountering herself as an adult and more
specifically, a human being. She explains, 'This plays out through the metaphor of leaving a house behind - a house of the stuff that builds up around you as you grow up - leaving that behind to make your own decisions about how to live. The last track, 'Rooms', is just a little snippet but to me it's a moment of looking back, seeing it all in a new light with a different perspective from outside, seeing all the feelings and meanings that were once so all-encompassing as something different - as just part of the landscape.'

This kind of liberation often comes with a sense of loss and this is felt keenly on 'Rosebud', a collaged piece, which she explains 'is like a moment of everything falling apart or burning down, those screeches to me sound like beams breaking'. Elsewhere on the album, Coral Rose's imagery depicts a dreamlike world, the album takes inspiration from both Rose's own dreams, and the underwater landscape of waking dreams.

The artwork, created by Coral Rose, shows the artist's connection with the landscape around her and on the cover, a particular home that she inhabited. Painted in North Wales, the front cover painting shows the artist's view through a window, looking outwards to the rain and light while the inside sleeve artworks are polaroid photographs - multiple exposures of the setting sun through clouds. 

Analogue processes flow throughout the album - several tracks on the album have a tape loop forming the spine of the song, and, explains Coral Rose, 'the unpredictability of using a loop of tape rather than dragging something about on screen means sometimes something some little part of it becomes this perfect loop that I never would have heard if I was trying to compose something from the recordings myself.' The reel-to-reel player was found at a car boot sale: 'the guy gave it me for £1 - it was the last change I had on me - because I got talking to him about Daphne Oram. It wasn't in great shape and I kind of nursed it back to life. It had extra character because of that though, I think, a lot of the songs on the album aren't in concert pitch because it tended to speed things up or slow things down, and often added strange sounds into the mix like the bass wobble in 'Gost'.'

Alex Chilton front man for the Boxtops and Big Star was always known to surprise his fans with different directions he took over the years. Songs From Robin Hood Lane finds Chilton tackling a variety of numbers from the great American songbook.

These songs are the first Alex ever heard as a kid in the 1950s growing up in a Memphis suburban streat called Robin Hood Lane. Recorded in 1990.

Many of the songs he learned from his father Sidney Chilton, a jazz trumpeter and pianist when Alex was a kid growing up in the Memphis suburbs in the 1950s. It features some of his most expressive singing from his time as a solo artist. This set includes previously un-released recordings and others that are quite rare. All have been out of print for some time. This is a great lazy Sunday afternoon record to listen to and curl up with someone you love.

Utilizing effects as an active compositional element, Elude's infectious riffs are brilliantly crafted and paced to allow the saturated guitars and bruising low-end to fully bloom. Within the tidal sound waves and bleak timbre, Grivo forges a distinctive personal connection that challenges the modern definitions of doom metal and shoegaze.

Born and raised in small-town Michigan, Grivo is led by guitarist/vocalist Timothy Heck who founded the band with his brother and drummer Matthew. The Heck brothers have shared a life-long musical partnership, starting as jazz-obsessed teenagers before diving into the punk and hardcore scenes of the Midwest in their early twenties. After years of intensive touring, they sought new inspiration and slower tempos, opting to relocate to Austin in 2015. Timothy adopted a reserved and accessible approach to songwriting, evoking empathy through minor key signatures while constructing intricate walls of auditory mass. Towing a thin line between genres, Grivo is careful never to fully commit to any style or tradition, allowing for broad crossover appeal.

Elude's lyrics portray the harsh recognition of the distance between longing and embrace. Candid songs such as 'C.A.' and 'Burnout' eloquently articulate the pain of unrequited desire and derive sympathy from chorusladen guitar flourishes. On songs like 'Cave,' Timothy's vocals and guitar leads form a unified voice, often singing into and out of one another to gracefully embellish the melody. Grivo's chord progressions are composed at the perfect emotional pitch, allowing energy and tension to naturally build and melt into an intoxicating release. The dense fuzz tones on 'Room' and 'Opia' are brutal, searing the guitar stops into piercing feedback and grinding the edges off the bass lines. This multi-layered use of effects is an essential part of Grivo's arrangement and identity, orchestrating an expansive variety of color and expression. The cohesive mood enveloping the nine dirges of Elude creeps along at a hypnotic tempo, luring the listener into the addictive malaise and subtle complexities of Grivo.

Before there was Joy Division, there was Warsaw. The group was founded after a 1976 Sex Pistols gig, and the late great Ian Curtis joined the group soon after. By their first official gig, in 1977, they were already the talk of NME and a rush to sign and record led the group to RCA. Recording in Manchester's Arrow Studios in May 1978 brought a full album's worth of songs but the band ultimately didn't like the direction of the production and asked to be released from their contract. Here is that mythical unreleased album along with the earliest demos from the group, recorded in 1977. Essential stuff for any fan of UK post-punk.

The cliché that circulated after the 2016 election foretold a new artistic golden age: Artists would transform their anger and anxiety into era-defining works of dissent in the face of authoritarianism.
Yet Bob Mould calls his new album Sunshine Rock.
It's not because Mould—whose face belongs on the Mount Rushmore of alternative music—likes the current administration. His decision to 'write to the sunshine,' as he describes it, comes from a more personal place - a place found in Berlin, Germany, where he's spent the majority of the last three years. Here Mould would draw inspiration from the new environments.
'Almost four years ago, I made plans for an extended break,' Mould explains. 'I started spending time in Berlin in 2015, found an apartment in 2016, and became a resident in 2017. My time in Berlin has been a life changing experience. The winter days are long and dark, but when the sun comes back, all spirits lift.'
These three years in Berlin would quite literally shed new light on Mould's everyday mindset.

'To go from [2011 autobiography] See a Little Light to the last three albums, two of which were informed by loss of each parent, respectively, at some point I had to put a Post-It note on my work station and say, 'Try to think about good things.' Otherwise I could really go down a long, dark hole,' he says. 'I'm trying to keep things brighter these days as a way to stay alive.'

That makes Sunshine Rock as logical a product of the current climate as any rage-fuelled agit-rock. Variations on the word 'sun' appear 27 times in five different songs over the course of the album's 37 minutes. To hear Mould tell it, the theme developed early.
'Sunshine Rock is one hell of a way to wrap up the busiest decade of my career,' he shares. 'The autobiography, the Disney Hall tribute show, reissues of several albums from my catalogue, three current rock band albums, several world tours, and now this new album — I'm humbled and grateful to still be making new music while celebrating my lifetime songbook.'

Sneaks, a.k.a. Eva Moolchan, emerges from the male-dominated Baltimore-Washington punk scene, joining the resistance forged by queer black feminists who create, explore, empower, conquer, and play bass. Highway Hypnosis combines bewitching beats and invented words, to produce what Clash Magazine described as 'stripped down hip-hop, skeletal post-punk, and extra-dimensional pop music.'

Recorded at New York's Silent Barn in 2017, Highway Hypnosis was co-produced by Carlos Hernandez (of Ava Luna), Tony Seltzer (Princess Nokia), and Eva Moolchan herself. A glimmering anthem shrouded in an atmosphere of darkness, her first single 'Beliefs' drops its bass along with a call to arms for all non-believers whose mantra is assigned: 'Remove your beliefs and start again / 'cause all I wanna do is start again.' Among laughter samples and charming vocals featured on the album lie one club banger, your little sister's anti-meat school lunch protest song, a 55-second epic bass surprise, and a Jacknife Lee (Taylor Swift, Bat for Lashes, R.E.M.) production credit on 'Hong Kong to Amsterdam.'

TOY have announced details of their new album, Happy In The Hollow, which is released on Friday January 25th 2019. Their fourth album, and their first for new label Tough Lough Records, it's unquestionably their most direct and propulsive album to date.

Recorded between their own home tape studios and mixed at Dan Carey's Studio B in South London, the album was entirely produced and mixed by the band.

Having recently released a limited 12' featuring 'The Willo' and 'Energy', the band have today shared the latest track from the album, 'Sequence One'.

Talking about the track, Toy say:
'Sequence One' is about running through a war zone of post apocalyptic proportions with your significant other. It was one of the first tracks we wrote when we started making Happy In The Hollow. We wrote it on the 5th Of April.

Happy In The Hollow is entirely uncompromising: an atmospheric capturing of a state of mind that touches on Post Punk, electronic dissonance, acid folk and Krautrock. Familiar qualities like metronomic rhythms, warping guitars, undulating synths and Tom's gentle, reedy vocals are all in there, but so is a greater emphasis on melody, a wider scope, and a combining of the reassuring and the sinister that is as unnerving as it is captivating.'



The sound has without doubt expanded — and grown more confident — in part because
this is the first album for which Toy has become a self-sufficient five-person unit doing everything for themselves.

'Each song was a blank canvas,' says Maxim. 'Producers inevitably develop their own patterns over
time, right down to certain drum sounds. We were starting from scratch and it felt very creative as a
result. It's an album we feel deeply connected to'.

Capital Punishment - This is Capital Punishment

Hot on the heels of Captured Tracks' reissue of Capital Punishment's 1982 album Roadkill, the quartet of Kriss Roebling, Ben Stiller, Peter Zusi, and Peter Swann return with This Is Captial Punishment an EP of new material recorded almost 35 years after the group disbanded. When asked for bonus material for the Roadkill reissue, the original members got back together and did a remake of their track 'Confusion.' A blistering, motorik take on the original, the new version reimagines 'Confusion' as a much louder and sinister track. It was so loved by the label - and the band had so much fun recording it - that they decided to record new material.

With the 'Confusion' remake leading off the EP, Capital Punishment burn through four other tracks that all explore the darker edges of rock 'n' roll. From the strangely sultry 'Drumming Out Time Inside Me' and 'Grey And Illuminate' to the band's favorite 'Hot Love,' Capital Punishment may not be teenage punks anymore, but they certainly haven't lost their edge.

Bong Load Records announces a deluxe release of All The Lost Souls, the first vinyl pressing of James Blunt's sophomore album in over a decade. This coffee table art book and double 180 gram clear vinyl LP hybrid is no ordinary pressing, it's the 3rd edition in the Bong Load Book series, following The Killers - Sam's Town & Richard Thompson's - Mock Tudor. In this edition we have uncovered unseen candid photos and contact sheets taken by Patrick Fraser from the original recording sessions with producer Tom Rothrock. We have also remastered this record at 45RPM with the original mastering engineer Don Tyler to get the highest level of detail for your listening experience. Some extras include a production note from Producer & Mixer Tom Rothrock about the sessions, reimagined cover art and album layout, 12'x12' wall art picture print, sequentially numbered aluminum stamp and a custom, one-off Bong Load Records sticker printed only for this pressing.

The first album recorded at the band's newly built Metway Studio, ZEITGEIST showcased a much heavier sound than on previous Levellers albums; but the alienation remained the same.

With its central theme of homelessness, the Top 20 single, Hope Street, is as relevant today as upon first release.

And whilst The Fear, Forgotten Ground and Exodus reflected the divided nation we lived - and still live - in, the album also includes less political songs in the party anthem, Just The One and Fantasy. Both of which continued the Levellers string of Top 20 hits.

ZEITGEIST reached Number One in the UK album chart in September 1995, continuing the Levellers' stratospheric rise from their 'cult indie' status to selling out arena tours in under five years.

Adrianne Lenker - Hours Were The Birds

With the release of breakthrough albums Masterpiece and Capacity, Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker has established hers as one of the most powerful voices in music. As Consequence of Sound describes it, "Thanks to the swift ascent of Big Thief, singer-songwriter Adrianne Lenker has become one of the most praised indie folk artists of the last five years.'

While her output with Big Thief is what brought her music to the attention of most who hold her in such high regard, Masterpiece is not the beginning of the story. "My first solo record I made was Hours Were the Birds,' Lenker explains. 'I moved to New York and, starting from complete scratch, had nothing to show anybody that was representing what I did, other than stuff I made when I was 13. So, I decided I should record a solo album of my songs that I had been accumulating.'

In 2013 Lenker returned to her hometown of Minneapolis and entered Terrarium Studios with producer Rob Oesterlin, where she laid down ten songs on acoustic guitar. 'It's basically just like a live solo show,' Lenker describes, 'but with an added twist.' She then enlisted NYC friend Andrew Sarlo to mix the album (he would later produce and mix Masterpiece and engineer, produce and mix Capacity), and on January 24, 2014 Hours Were the Birds was released into the world.

Adrianne Lenker & Buck Meek - A Sides and B Sides

The summer after graduating from Berklee College of Music, Adrianne Lenker moved to New York City. She met Buck Meek the day she moved there, at a corner market called Mr. Kiwi (although, technically they had already played a show together in Boston, so they recognized each other but weren't sure from where). The two explored the city by bicycle and eventually began to play songs together. "It was one of those friendships that developed extremely fast where suddenly you're each other's best friend," Lenker says. "We hung out every day from the moment we met.'

Meek's off-kilter, piercing guitar licks and solos are the perfect juxtaposition to bring Lenker's melodic and stirring vocals and lyrics to fruition. "I guess what struck me as a songwriter then was that her songs all seemed to be really human, and really emotional, and really honest — vulnerable — but at the same time they all somehow had this ineffable quality," Meek says. "Like, all of that human content was serving as a medium for something beyond.'

Soon they picked up a white conversion van, named her Bonnie, and made touring their whole lives. In 2014, songs crafted on the road were captured on two EPs released under the Buck and Anne moniker: one called a-sides and one called b-sides. Both warm, acoustic affairs.

In the ensuing years, Adrianne and Buck joined with Max Oleartchik and James Krivchenia to form Big Thief, one of the most beloved bands in music today. a-sides and b-sides provide an early glimpse at what was soon to come, while standing on their own as documents of a deeply meaningful time in the creative lives of Lenker and Meek.

Newcomer Hekla releases her uniquely beautiful debut album for solo theremin and voice Á through Phantom Limb Records - run and curated by former FatCat Records, Thrill Jockey and Royal Albert Hall execs James Vella, Ken Li and Mark Pearse.

A Berlin-residing Icelander, Hekla's sparse, delicate, fractal music exists within these two worlds: dark and magical as Iceland's permanight folklore; and (though beatless) as deeply sonic and intense as Berlin's electronic scene. A long-term scholar of solo theremin, Hekla (shortened from her own name Hekla Magnúsdóttir) uses her instrument as an otherworldly and highly evocative Siren-call. A spectral, wailing, howling, lamenting yearning second-voice that underpins a soft vocal delivery, as if her studio had been haunted with a chorus of ghostly backing singers.

While a handful of reference points share a similar ground to Á - Colleen's interplay of voice and instrumentation; the richly immersive filmscore work of sadly passed fellow Icelander Jóhann Jóhannsson's; 'grandmother of theremin' Clara Rockmore's close relationship with such a singular instrument; Julia Holter's intelligent and classically-aligned songwriting - Hekla's music still exists singularly. A one-off talent, emerging from no particular scene, ascribing to no particular rules.

As a creative tool, the theremin - bizarre, unique, rarely heard - can be expressive, intuitive and highly adaptable. In Hekla's hands, her instrument covers an enormous range, from skittering birdsong of high frequency chirrups and chirps, to grinding, tectonic sub-bass. We are given the throbbing, apocalyptic dread of 'Muddle' and the baroque beauty of traditional Icelandic hymn 'Heyr Himna Smiur' in sequential tracks on the album's a-side. Appropriately, she also writes that the album title - Á - is similarly multifaceted in her native Icelandic: 'a river is an á and also it means ouch like when you hurt yourself, and also when you put something on top of something you put it á (on) something.'

The album was written and self-recorded by Hekla in her home studio in Berlin around her son's daycare schedule. Icelandic super-musician Mr Silla (a part-time múm member) guests on a number of tracks. Tallinn-based engineer Jose Diogo Neves - a stalwart of Icelandic and Portuguese music - mixed and mastered Á.

James Vella formed Phantom Limb in June 2017 after eight years in A&R for FatCat Records. Mark Pearse (formerly head of contemporary music programming at the Royal Albert Hall) and Ken Li (formerly of Thrill Jockey, now of Nettwerk) joined the team shortly after.
