Half Mile Harvest has been over 10 years in the making. The Teskey Brothers have been playing together since they were teenagers, and this new album is a collection of their shared experiences over the past decade. It was recorded last year and has been described as a “love letter to classic blues”*.
Originally from The Yarra Valley just outside Melbourne, Brothers Josh and Sam Teskey with local neighbourhood friends, Brendon Love and Liam Gough all share a love of 1960's American soul music. Listening to their album in 2018, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was the work of Stax Records alumni in Memphis circa 1967. Half Mile Harvest was recorded to 2-inch tape and honours the old school Motown sound, whilst also working it into something of their very own, with Josh Teskey’s smoked whiskey voice and the band holding an irresistible groove.

The Teskey Brothers share The Circle Session – a live 5-track EP, which features the band’s stunning rendition of the Ray Charles classic, ‘Drown In My Own Tears’, alongside live recordings of four other songs from their #1 ARIA-charting album, The Winding Way – winner of Best Blues and Roots album at the 2023 ARIA Awards. The limited-edition vinyl marks the band’s third live recording pressed on 12inch following their first #1 ARIA-charting album, 2020’s Live At The Forum and their equally stunning Live At Hamer with Orchestra Victoria (2021). Recorded while the band were in Germany in 2023, The Circle Session series has also featured performances over the years from the likes of Hozier, Lewis Capaldi, Freya Ridings and more.

Recorded during the Midwest winter of 1999, the White Stripes debut LP stands alone as the most raw, unpolished and 'Detroit' sounding records The White Stripes would release. On this reissue the vinyl is cut directly from the original 1/4" master tapes, pressed on 180gm black vinyl and housed in a sturdy, beautiful tip on sleeve. A 17 track single album.

Reissue of The White Stripes second album (originally released in June 2000), which found the band recording in the comfortable confines of Jack White's Third Man Studios, then housed on the ground floor of his house in Southwest Detroit. The on point covers of Son House and Blind Willie McTell pair wonderfully with both the minimal downtempo somber numbers and the maximum energy explosions of unadulterated power. A 13 track album pressed on 180gm black vinyl and housed in a tip on sleeve. Both releases will have promo/marketing activity.

We’re doing further exploration into LOBBY LOYDE’s recorded legacy. This time, we're reissuing the final single by THE WILD CHERRIES. This tough to find single has been out of print for nearly 50 years, and was originally released on Havoc Records in November 1971, a mere four months before LOBBY formed COLOURED BALLS. There were several different lineups of THE WILD CHERRIES from 1967 to 1971, but the final short-lived configuration with LOBBY along with drummer JOHNNY DICK (Aztecs, Max Merritt and The Meteors) and bassist TEDDY TOI (Aztecs, Max Meritt and The Meteors) was the only one fronted by LOBBY. He was only on lead guitar in the earlier iterations of the group. BILLY THORPE and GIL MATTHEWS from THE AZTECS help out on the A-side. Gil also produced and engineered this single. 100% analog start to finish and sourced from the original master tapes. For those keeping score, this is our 7th LOBBY LOYDE-related release!

We’ll forever remember the summer of 2020. In March the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. All over the world cities and countries went in lockdown, bars and venues were closed and live music stopped altogether. After three months of total isolation and not being able to jam or play at Missy Sippy Blues & Roots Club in Ghent —or any other place for that matter— Tiny Legs Tim and his friends decided to book a weekend at The Yellow Tape studio. They wanted to capture the emotional high of finally playing together again. A simple live setup, a 60’s Faylon mixing desk and an old 24-track tape machine were used to record this outburst of musical joy. During that weekend Tim and his musicians reached that point of ‘locking together’ they experienced so often playing late nights at a packed and steamy Missy Sippy. Imagine when four musicians act as one in an energetic dance with the audience, led by the sultry beats of the drums (Bernd Coene), the dirty grooves of the bass (Mattias Geernaert) and the inciting dialogue of the guitars (Toon Vlerick & Tiny Legs Tim).
At the moment these kind of scenes and carefree celebrations of life and music seem like a thing of a long gone past, but as Tim puts it: “We’re always ready to roll, call us when it’s over.” In the meantime, the listener gets a first-hand experience of the positive energy and joy of making music on the spot with a selection of spontaneously arranged songs: some new, some old and one cover by the late RL Burnside.

Tony Holiday has been at the center of a Memphis soul blues revival anchored by a contingent of young, savvy, well-schooled musicians who have a "family-like" attitude and a strong belief in one another. Over the past couple of years, Holiday has been touring hard, taking spells in between to write and record with Producer Eric Corne in Memphis and Los Angeles. The result is Keep Your Head Up, an album that demonstrates an impressive command of styles, as Holiday leads his band fluidly through Texas, Chicago and hill country blues with plenty of Memphis soul and even a touch of Afrobeat. It features a nice array of special guests including Eddie 9V, Kevin Burt, Albert Castiglia and Laura Chavez, last year's Blues Music Award winner for 'Guitarist of the Year’ with Holiday shining throughout on vocals and harmonica.

"The Train I’m On was the fifth album by Tony Joe White. It was produced by Jerry Wexler and Tom Dowd and recorded in 1972 at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Acoustic textured for much of its length and built on a close, intimate sound overall, The Train I'm On is permeated with the dark side of White's usual swamp rock sound, filled with songs about unsettled loves and lives, and men caught amid insoluble situations. Betraying surprising vulnerability for much of its length, he shows off an emotional complexity that wasn't always obvious on his earlier work. Dark, pensive, soulful bluesy rock, highlighted by some bristling acoustic guitar work. The Train I’m On spawned three singles, including “I’ve Got a Thing About You Baby”, which was notably covered by Elvis Presley. The Train I’m on is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on yellow coloured vinyl.

Over the past half century, Tony Levin has been a prolific session player and one of the most active live performers on the planet. He’s contributed his talents to over five hundred albums amongst which include 15 with Peter Gabriel and 18 with King Crimson (counting live, studio, and compilations) alongside contributions to the work of John Lennon, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Herbie Mann, Paul Simon and many others. On tour, he’s traveled the World many times over with the aforementioned King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, and several of his own bands including Stick Men

This Fall, he’ll stage 65 performances in North America as a member of BEAT, celebrating King Crimson’s ‘80s repertoire alongside Adrian Belew, Steve Vai and Danny Carey interpreting “Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair.”

Inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, Traffic came to prominence in the late 1960s, with a distinctive sound, which quickly earned them UK Top Ten hits in the shape of Paper Sun and Hole In My Shoe before releasing their first album, Mr. Fantasy in December 1967. Formed earlier that year, Traffic comprised vocalist/organist Steve Winwood (still only 18 years old at the time); drummer/singer Jim Capaldi; singer/guitarist Dave Mason and reed player Chris Wood. Alongside contemporaries like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Traffic set about shifting the boundaries of rock music, experimenting with sound and incorporating elements of blues, soul and jazz to create their own unique oeuvre. A key part of their story is their retreat to a communal stone cottage in Berkshire, where they took inspiration from their natural surroundings and worked without distraction, writing and rehearsing the material for the first two albums, Mr. Fantasy and Traffic (1968). Always revolving around the three core members, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood, Traffic had as few as three and as many as seven members between the years 1967 to 1974 but, despite, all the personnel changes and shifts, they remained a force to be reckoned with until deciding to split in 1974, having given their final performance on 31st August and releasing their last album, When the Eagle Flies. Boasting all six studio albums recorded for the Island Records, the LPs have been remastered from the original tapes and presented in their original and highly collectable ‘first’ Island pressing form (gatefold sleeves, pink eye labels etc). 22-20s is the debut self-titled album by English blues rock band 22-20s. The album was met with critical acclaim upon initial release in 2004. NME called it one of the best British rock albums of the year, praising the band’s ability to sound fresh and vital, while remaining intense. The album features the track “Devil in Me”, which was famously used on a Vauxhall Astra commercial in 2016. It provided the band with a rise in popularity, even though by that time they had already split up. Their eponymous debut is now available on

The fifth full-length studio album from Vermont quartet Twiddle, Every Last Leaf is a bold exploration of the cyclical nature of life.

This beautiful piece of vinyl is a perfect guide to the untold story of the Blues in Oakland. While the history of Blues is more associated with Mississippi, Chicago, Texas and Louisiana than the West Coast, it's a matter of facts that Oakland has always been a thriving center for African American culture and this album represents a great exploration of its deep relationship with the Blues. The whole first side consists of eight tracks of pure West Coast Jump Blues by the legendary pianist and singer Jimmy McCracklin while the second side is shared between one-man band wizard Juke Boy Bonner and the electric Blues of Johnny Fuller, and Jimmy Wilson and The Blues Basters. All sessions come from the 1950's archives of Bob Geddins's Irma Records, the legendary record label that became the house for the East Bay Blues sound.
