Billy Joe Rocker was the guitar player and vocals of Old Stuff Trio during 18 years where he played around the world in places like Hemsby (UK), Ace Cafe (UK), Viva Las Vegas (Nevada USA), Rockabilly Hall of Fame (Jackson USA), Galloway Church (Memphis USA), Nashville Palace, Roberts Western World and American Legion Post 88 (Nashville USA).

Joe was the manager of the biggest Rock n Roll Weekender in Brazil named Big River Festival, in 2016 was proudly inducted in The International Rockabilly Hall of fame in Jackson TN USA.

In December 2016 Joe formed with his son (Johnny B. Gordon) the band Joe and Hill Valley Boys, they are composing together and playing day-by-day a lot of songs very influenced by the 50's Rockabilly originals.

A popular fixture on the international Rock n Roll circuit and much to the delight of music lovers throughout the world , singer Mike Bell is making his modern pop debut. Originally released in 1991, The Planet Rockers debut LP 'Coming In Person' would prove to be a landmark record on the world-wide Rockin' scene and one that still stands as perhaps the band's finest work. It was in the middle of that same year that me and my band - Big Sandy and the Fly-Rite Trio - first visited European shores. By the time we arrived on the Euro scene, The Planet Rockers had already landed there a year earlier and fans were abuzz with frantic tales of this must-see American combo. At every Rock & Roll festival I would hear things like, 'You just gotta see the guitar player Eddie Angel in action! He does this crazy thing with the strings' and 'The singer, Sonny, man... what a voice! What a stage presence'... and so on. Every record hop across the UK & The Continent had dance floors filled with hundreds of frantic fans jiving to the sounds of 'Rampage' (first broken on the scene by DJ Mouse and included in this set), which was in turn

followed throughout the rest of that year by several other club hits from this LP. Nearly three decades later, the recordings on this most excellent collection sound as fresh and powerful as they did when they first saw the light of day... without sounding dated whatsoever. When he arrived in Nashville, country soul pioneer Tony Joe White had already made six albums. Townes Van Zandt had made seven, Mickey Newbury eight. Kristofferson, the accepted High Priest of the New Nashville, had made five. Larry Jon, by the time he arrived, had spent ten years in corporate America. Geordie was a British glam-rock band from Newcastle that included Vic Malcom, Tom Hill, Brian Gibson and Brian Johnson. They released five studio albums and had two big hit singles in the UK with the songs 'All Because Of You' and 'Can You Do It'. Those songs are included here, along their debut single, 'Don't Do That' from 1972, 'Electric Lady' from 1973 and their cover of the classic anthem 'House Of The Rising Sun', which was part of their second album 'Don't Be Fooled By The Name'.

Ronald Belford 'Bon' Scott was born in Forfar, Scotland and moved to Melbourne, Australia with his family when he was six. Before joining AC/DC in 1974 he was part of multiple bands including The Spektors and The Valentines. With the latter, he recorded several songs written by George Young (Angus & Malcolm's older brother) of The Easybeats and they even had a Top 30 hit in Australia with the song 'Every Day You Have To Cry' (originally by Arthur Alexander). Included here is that hit song along with other gems from their catalog including 'To Know You Is To Love You', 'I Can't Dance With You' and 'Sookie Sookie'. Also featured is his recording of 'Round And Round And Round' with Peter Head and his band The Mounty Lofty Rangers from 1974.



AC/DC not only has a huge catalogue of successful albums (including 'Back In Black' that has sold more than 22 million copies in the US alone), but they also have created hit songs that have become staples in rock radio for decades. We pay tribute to these songs by presenting here ten of them including 'You Shook Me All Night Long', 'Hells Bells', 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and 'Thunderstruck' among others. They are performed for a who's who from the hard rock elite including AC/DC's own drummer Chris Slade, Ira Black (Dokken, Heathen), Keri Kelli (Warrant, Night Ranger) Matt Thorn (Ratt), Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy), Greg Analla (Tribe Of Gypsies) and Richard Kendrick.

Rafael "Lito" Barrientos was one of the most famous 60's musicians out El Salvador. After taking part in various South American orchestras (he lived in Costa Rica, Panama, and Venezuela) Don Lito arrived in Colombia in 1965 and gave birth to one of the biggest selling releases of the iconic Discos Fuentes label, Very Very Well. Led by the 'Cumbia en do menor', probably the most famous Cumbia hit ever, the album had enormous success in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, and even in the USA, thanks to the beautiful combination of the sounds of cumbia, porro and charanga with classic rock and roll.

Voodoo Lounge Uncut presents for the first time the full, unedited show filmed on November 25th 1994 at Miami's Joe Robbie Stadium. Originally directed by the legendary David Mallet, this new version features 10 performances omitted from its previous release in the 90s, and the full show is now presented in its original running order. With its ahead-of-its-time cyberworld staging, guest appearances from Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray and Bo Diddley, and a setlist combining classic tracks with (then) new material from the Voodoo Lounge album, this phenomenal show can now be enjoyed as originally intended.

June 1, 1974 was originally released by Island Records the same year in which it was recorded.

The idea for the concert came from Richard Williams (Island's A&R), who suggested that the reunion

of all of these Island artists would help generate interest in the label (which had up to then been primarily associated with reggae).

Prior to Joan Jett, Patti Smith, Courtney Love and other era-defining Women in rock, there were the girls in the garage. Like their male counterparts discovered, being in a band was not only cool and alluring, it was sexual and ultimately political without making a 'political' statement. The garage band was a medium that enabled a voice to be heard, an adolescent fury of angst and frustration or plain old hormones. Girls In the Garage captures the raw essence of those juvenile dreams played out through guitars, drums, mics and amplifiers. Prevailing gender roles would be tested, as rock 'n' roll became someone else's domain the girls!!

The arrival of rock 'n' roll and the teenager not only belonged to the boy next door, it aroused the aspirations and emotions of the girl. Although it's been said that it was rare for a girl group to play on their own records in the mid-1960s, they were not alone. On both sides of the Atlantic, cynical and shrewd producers largely employed session musicians, afraid of any conceivable faults at the hands of such young and innocent hands, male and female. The ones who didn't were bold visionaries that believed not only in a new generation's ambitions, but capabilities too. As the rise of a female presence in rock 'n' roll rose through the appearance of figures such as The Vejtables' Jan Errico, the Honeycombs' Honey Lantree, and the fabulous Maureen Tucker (whose deliberately primal technique is such an undervalued part of the Velvet Underground's sound), so too did the rise of all-female bands. Liverpool's Liverbirds and Hull's Mandy and The Girlfriends gave weight to the idea that it was 'normal' and paved the way for likeminded girls to drop the dream boy and pick up the guitar!

Although, the prevailing attitude amongst both major and independent record labels was never going to be inspiring or welcoming, like the wailing blues mamas such as Memphis Minnie or Jessie Mae Hemphill, times were-a-changin' and girls didn't just want to have 'fun'. Emerging groups such as the Pleasure Seekers, White Boots, Ace Of Cups, Bittersweets, and the Luv'd Ones were playing rock 'n' roll on their own terms whilst breaking new ground - whether they were trying to or not. Prepare yourself, as hell hath no fury like....

Robert Pollard's Waved Out gets the 20th anniversary reissue treatment with newly re-mastered audio and a beautiful blue vinyl pressing. The Guided By Voices captain's second solo album from 1998 captures the more eclectic side of his
songwriting. Here, he brilliantly compresses prog, psych, and post-punk ideas into magnificent two-minute pop songs. Wire, early Genesis, Nilsson Schmilsson, Lennon's White Album songs, Blue Öyster Cult, XTC, and Captain Beefheart: it's all
here, condensed into brilliant songs like 'Subspace Biographies' and 'Whiskey Ships.' A lot's been made of Pollard's spontaneous and prolific songwriting methods, and most of that's true, though he works much harder on his songs than even he likes to admit. With Waved Out, he seemed to grow more comfortable and ambitious
in formal studio-type settings, so that anyone who carps about 'unfinished arrangements' and 'shitty production values' ought to be pretty happy with this record. This doesn't apply to 'Caught Waves Again,' where he sings into a boombox over a tape of GBV guitarist Doug Gillard's noodling. Nor does it apply to a
touching song about tragedies in Pollard's hometown of Dayton, Ohio, called 'People Are Leaving,' where he puts two separate melodies over instruments by collaborator Stephanie Sayers. In addition to Gillard, a few other GBV personalties appear on the record, Jim Pollard, Tobin Sprout and Jim MacPherson, then of The Breeders. But the bulk of the record, including a fair bit of the drumming, is all Robert Pollard.
