On his debut full-length album as Marker, New Orleans artist Mike Wilkinson eschews traditional pop catharsis for total submersion into a blue, luminous tunnel. Guitar, bass, and Wilkinson's voice are all treated through a variety of outboard and software effects, gently blurring into one another. Written and recorded between 2012 and 2015, the songs distill themes of isolation and connection, unreliable memory, identity, and the problem of infinite introspection and its relationship with reality. Filled with surprise melodic turns and evocative, vaporous production, "Marker" is an immersive work of otherworldly pop, encouraging its listeners to retreat inside themselves.

Hand-picked selection of tracks by UK's Negative Response in this initial limited run of 300 discs. Negative Response is a DIY minimal synth project that formed in 1980. They self-released 3 cassettes from 1981-1983 as well as playing a number of gigs from 82-85. The tracks embody a very melancholy atmosphere reinforced by their arsenal of early electronic analogue equipment. This collection will certainly appeal to fans of early bedroom synth artists such as John Bender and other DIY home recording moguls of the era. A few years ago we received an anonymous email with a link to three tracks and a simple
message: 'Hi, maybe you would be interested in this music.'

It's easy to be skeptical of yet another link from yet another artist in a world overcrowded with them, but listening is our job and so we do it. The songs were instantly striking: extraordinarily slow, somber, and spacious, each vaulted cathedral chord reverberating poetically into the distance, the melodies rolling out like fog across a cemetery.

Captivated, we requested more, receiving a single word in response: Yes.' Then, nothing. Eventually, three months later, we received another email with slightly more information: a name (Irma Orm), a location (Stockholm), and a bit of context (she worked alone, and progress on music was slow but steady ).

Fast-forward to mid-2016: we're informed the album is complete, and it is breathtaking. Hermetic gothic swan songs conjured from funereal piano, twilit ambience, minimalist percussion, and spellbinding vocals.

The mood is lulling and lush but lost in sorrow, stark grey structures looming in the night. Majestic open spaces between notes heighten the melancholic grandeur of Orm's arrangements, blurring the line between lament and lullaby. The songs less end than ebb away,succumbing to their own downcast beauty.

After only 3 short years, my second album o u r w a l l s is out. It comes clad in vinyl, polycarbonate, bits and bytes and I'm very happy and relieved to finally let go of this one. The cores of its 10/11 (CD/2LP) Tracks were developed on a loop pedal at home. Lyrics spun here and there. Almost all of them are trying to extract levels of meaning from an everchanging knot of emotions. They take their time - ranging between t h r e e m i n u t e s f o u r t y to t h i r t e e n m i n u t e s f i f t y s e v e n - to clinically isolate, examine and name the elementary building blocks constituting the knot. o u r w a l l s is about the ups and downs of your everyday-mercilessly-hopeless love relationship, about staying mild when things get rough, fabulous metaphors, childish selfdefence mechanisms, the burning space in b e t w e e n words and o u r very personal w a l l s that have so far always kept us safe..

Munich based pair Jorkes are something of an enigma, having appeared on the scene recently with a fully formed sound and a desire to let their music do the speaking for them. Musically the duo seem to be operating with few boundaries, looking to express their emotional states through their music with scant consideration for styles or genres. This latest release sees Jorkes team up with fellow Munich resident and vocalist Karol Schmejchel to deliver a slice of evocative, slo-mo nu-disco. The release kicks of with the original mix of 'Thank You', marrying chugging drums and warm bass with stirring pads and the emotionally charged vocals of Schmejchel. It's a perfect track for dark backrooms and home lounging alike. The remix comes from Manchester trio Menage a Trois who deliver a sonical beautiful reworking built around heartwrenching keys and heavily reverbed guitar parts. Simple understated drums carrying the record along as their vocal treatment soars towards the heavens, this is sublime stuff. The vinyl release will also feature an exclusive instrumental of the Menage a Trois mix for those who like things a little more stripped back. In keeping with Jorkes' creative outlook, and following on from their previous release, there will be an exclusive music video of 'Thank You' forthcoming which is likely to set pulses racing once again! Jeff Galea, who founded Eleven Pond in the mid-80s, is the master of energizing bass lines and emotional synth melodies. Deepest Chasms reflects their shared darkness in four melodic and atmospheric synthwave tracks that won't let go of you.

After taking a break from his renowned AV shows, and keeping original releases close to his chest since his debut album in 2012, Soul Has No Tempo proudly present Natural Selections, the breathtakingly refreshing second EP from prominent: producer, Sampology. The relentlessly innovative Brisbane native releases his best and most personal work to-date. As a torchbearer for collaborative inspiration, Sampology's passion for extracting and supporting emerging talent from the depths of Brisbane's evolving Soul/Electronic scene shines with Natural Selections.

Exposing a previously untapped side of his vast musical sphere, Natural Selections is an exquisite 6-track EP that delves into Sampology's afro-percussive and organic influences which he has masterfully produced and laced with lush, live elements throughout. Following a hiatus from releases and touring to further develop his craft, the results have been well worth the wait. The producer is at the core of the live instrumentation on Natural Selections, playing keys, Kalimba, live percussion, Rhodes and drum programming - a highlight also being the engagement of renowned composer and conductor, Gordon Hamilton, arranging strings on lead single 'Thicker Than Water'.

The pinnacle of the EP is the stand-out collaborations and features. Sampology has called on a number of Brisbane artists/friends that represent a new wave in soulful, fresh electronic music to lend their talents, with the producers own family also collaborating on the music and art. Upcoming vocalist Tiana Khasi features on lead single 'Thicker Than Water', Laneous (Hiatus Kaiyote cover artist) offers his vocals to 'Different Star' with the powerful strength of NZ-born/Berlin-based (via Brisbane) artist Noah Slee, shining on 'Be There'. Even closer to home, Sampology's family lay the true building blocks of 'Natural Selections'. With his father Ken Poggioli playing upright bass, his Aunt Helen Poggioli playing viola and his mother Sue Poggioli creating the artwork and visuals that will feature throughout his new live show, it is a true labour of love. Brisbane-based label and friends at Soul Has No Tempo will be releasing 'Natural Selections' digitally across all major stores, with the EP also available on 12' vinyl with a full colour jacket featuring artworks by Sue Poggioli.

Jean-Jacques Perrey has long been recognized as a pioneer of electronic music. Along with his musical partner at the time, Gershon Kingsley, the duo recorded a landmark album: The In Sound From Way Out, which was released by Vanguard Records in 1966. Perrey went on to record over 24 more albums of electronic music during his lifetime. But prior to this seminal electronic album Perrey already had an impressive career as an electronic music pioneer, having been the demo man for Georges Jenny's Ondioline, one of the very first proto-synthesizers.

Musique Electronic du Cosmos actually predates The In Sound From Way Out. The exact date is unknown, but it was probably recorded around 1962-3. Only 500 copies of Musique Electronique du Cosmos were produced. Some of the songs from this album later turned up on television commercials, most notably the song Chicken On The Rocks', which was used in a television commercial by the Ideal Toy Company in the '60s.

The tracks on side 2 of this reissue are from a very rare demonstration disc. Only one copy of this record is known to exist. It was purchased in an eBay auction by Spanish record collector and DJ, Raül G. Pratginestós (a.k.a. DJ Zero). As the hand-typed record label shows, the songs were originally transferred from tape to disc at A&R Recording, a studio owned and operated by New Yorkers Jack Arnold and Phil Ramone. (Ramone went on to become one of the most successful record producers of all time.) It is difficult to place a date as to when this acetate record was cut, but Perrey left New York in early 1971, so it would certainly have been from before that.

Comes in a nice three backflapped sleeve with original artwork with a colour insert including photos and liner notes written by Dana Countryman in a limited edition of 500 copies only.

RSD 2017 release. The Berlin based artist OFRIN from Israel released her wonderful album "Ore" on Albumlabel in 2016. Now, Albumlabel debuts with the 10" single vinyl format with three tracks that are linked to this working period. A1 contains a long and deep dubbing club remix of her song "Black Box" by Berlin/Canadian DEADBEAT. The original appeared on the album as outstanding special arrangement excluding any clear drumwork. But swimming on such a strong rythmic pattern out of chords and puls that leads into a clear hypnotic piece of music. OFRIN's majestic voice could not be crowned better by music. DEADBEAT is following this lead adding his unique touch of up to date club and dub productions. The B Side opens with a wide open minded ambient mix by Berlin producer PILOCKA KRACH. Her version of "Direction Eclipse" uses the song title as a map for music that tumbles in the direction eclipse. Finally, B2 is OFRIN's cover version of the song "Traume" that has been famous in the version by FRANCOISE HARDY in 1970. She already sung the song in a French German accent - untouchable, cool, destroying and charming. This feeling is now taken by OFRIN with a kinda different accent into 2017 and is strongly moving on co-producer Marco Haas aka T.RAUMSCHMIERE. His work is the perfect stage for OFRIN's, modern, now, analogue, digital.

This release is the first limited 10" by Albumlabel created for the record store day in April 2017.

Candy-O (Expanded Edition) goes beyond the original album's 11 tracks with seven bonus tracks. Among the highlights are unreleased alternate mixes of Let's Go' and Lust For Kicks,' as well as the previously unissued song They Won't See You (The Northern Studios Version).' The album's liner notes were written by David Wild and include a new interview with guitarist Elliot Easton.

Peripheral Minimal is proud to present the new 12" by the French electronic pioneer, Philippe Laurent, entitled, 'Phoenix'. This will be Philippe's second release on Peripheral Minimal after the infectious synthetic classic 12", 'Mithra'. Phoenix is a three track E.P. featuring two brand new tracks on the A-Side, 'Phoenix' (featuring Philippe's trademark robotic vocals), and, 'Agapao'. Meanwhile over on the B-Side, we have the 13-minute electronic opus and highly representative of his early work, 'Exposition 4', a never before released track from Philippe's extensive archive, and recorded in 1982.

The E.P. Is representative of Philippe's latest forays into contemporary synth music, but still with a retro futurist edge and influenced partly by German pioneers Kraftwerk / late 70s Kosmische and au courant electro / synthwave acts, fitting into the current enthusiasm for early 80s synth pop and minimal wave.

The first of two killer new LPs for Polytechnic Youth for June, First up is the follow up to 2015's mighty The Land and The Garden' (for Clay Pipe Music) from VIC MARS.

A magnificent full length, building handsomely on it's esteemed predecessor's huge acclaim, more utterly wonderful, occasionally playful analogue synth soundtracks, soundbites and tips of the hat especially, to the revered BBC Radiophonic Workshop output from 1968 onwards.

The record also offers nods to the revered work of Conrad Schnitzler, Klaus Schulze and Edgar Froese yet sounds utterly new and contemporary, and you feel that a love of 1970s Childrens' TV themes looms large during it's creation also.

Initially from Hereford, VIC MARS' early releases were at first predominantly net based download affairs, however Japanese imprint Symbolic Interaction' stepped in to release the magnificent Kanransha' set, which in turn led to the Clay Pipe full length. He freely admits to there not being any particular concept to the album as such, here- but does point to the final track Astrogator' being a nod to when my Dad took the family all over Germany in 1980 in a clapped out Hillman Avenger. Even going into East Germany, which even as a kid kid I could feel how weird/oppressive it was there, plus I had never seen guards etc with guns before!'

Atelier du Mal were formed in Florence in 1983 by Lapo Pistelli (synths, electronic drums), Iacopo Ficai Veltroni (bass, synth) and Ignazio Matteini
(drum programming, percussions). Recorded in 1984, 'Noblesse Oblige' was the first and subsequently the only demo tape by the group, self-released using classic gear like Korg Ms-20, Roland Tr-606, Roland Tr-808, Roland Juno 60, Roland TB-303.

Although he's now known as one of the world's most celebrated techno artists, even Marcel Dettmann had to start somewhere. Long before he ever held court at Berghain (or its predecessor, Ostgut), he was just another young boy in Eastern Germany, one whose earliest encounters with capitalism involved spending every penny he could scrape together down at the local record shop. In those days, it wasn't techno that got him excited, but new wave, post-punk, industrial and EBM acts like Front 242 and Depeche Mode

It's music from my childhood,' says Dettmann. It's still relevant and still inspires me.' That inspiration can be heard across this edition of the Selectors series, as Dettmann has put together what he describes as a pre-techno compilation.' Much like the previous Selectors editions, the compilation is not a mix CD, but a collection of tracks hand picked by Dettmann from his own vinyl archives. Freshly remastered - and occasionally reworked or re-edited by Dettmann himself - the songs here are undoubtedly vintage gems, but they also represent a very personal journey into Dettmann's past.

It was a great opportunity to dig deeper into my own musical outlook,' he explains. The tracks come from a time before Marcel Dettmann became a DJ.' Simply put, the songs here are some of the building blocks upon which he's built an incredibly storied career, and now he'd like to entrust them to future generations.

Lena Platonos is a Greek musician, pianist and music composer. One of the pioneers of Greek electronic music, she remains active today. Lena was born in Heraklion, Crete, and grew up in Athens. She began learning how to play the piano at the age of two and became a professional pianist before turning eighteen. Soon afterwards, she received a scholarship to study in the the Berlin and Vienna Academies , where she was exposed to jazz, rock and Middle Eastern music. She returned to Greece in the late 70's and began working with the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation. Released in 1984, 'se ' ('Sun Masks') was Lena Platonos' first record to feature her own words and vocals. All instruments were performed by Lena herself.. 'Sun Masks' was inspired by Argentine writer, Julio Cortázar as well as the film 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd. "I began to reverse my thought process, to let melodies fade out, to turn to minimalism, to experiment on my Yamaha C60 synthesizer and a variety of boxes' which I used to change the sound of my voice as well as the sound of the synthesizer' says Lena. The album featured experiments with different sounds and a new batch of electronic equipment, such as the legendary Roland TR 808 drum machine. Lena narrates each song in deadpan fashion, skillfully reciting her surreal Greek poetry. Her lyrics deal with the futility of love, the gap of human relationships, consumerist alienation in the bourgeois lifestyle of the 1980s. All songs have been remastered from the original master tapes for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket is an exact replica of the 1984 edition, featuring a photograph of Lena wearing sunglasses or sun masks'. Each copy includes a two-sided 11'x11' insert with lyrics in both Greek with English, and liner notes by Lena.

Bringing together Nick Maurer's gift for bite-size storytelling and Neville Attree's intricate, melodic arrangements, the album is an infectious collection of tracks that resonate with a distinctive crossover appeal, while the dynamic beats ensure it still gravitates towards the dance floor. Ex-Greenskeepers frontman Maurer (Chicago) and Gumption Recordings founder Attree (London) first met while DJing at a notorious outdoor party called Girl's Camp in their adopted home of Heidelberg. Faded Ranger stumbled into existence soon after and has come to represent a meeting of minds borne out of circumstance and driven by musical legacy. Mechanical Tonight may be retro in its outlook as the pair work the presence of past influences out of their systems, but the melting pot of ideas and references converge at a point of undeniable modern appeal. The initial album sessions took place in Attree's basement studio which was (and still is) held together by string and sellotape. With no agenda, expectations or pressure to cloud their judgement, the budding partnership just did what felt right. Amid the conjured beats, majicked lyrics, jokes and story telling they hit the ground running, penning 'Blindfolds", 'Mechanical Tonight", 'Pretty Colors' and 'Be On The Lookout' in quick succession, setting the tone for the eclectic nature of the album.

Sonically the double album shifts through many states from beginning to end, resonating deep, like a drive thru foreign landscapes where you're glued to the window as everything slowly changes around you. The flow and pacing of songs has a sense of
wonderment and each time you play it there's a whole new batch of lovely sounds and eccentricities within each of the players. While bringing together their love of Psychedelic music, House, Electronic and Reggae each song manages to live it's own life and yet still there is some magical thread that binds them together.

Produced by Aaron Coyes, the whole creative process was filled with nerdy gadgetry, playful experimentation and deep alchemical soul searching for a musical medicine. Aaron describes Dreamfuzz as 'a small junkyard with many happy mistakes'. Using tape
machines, writing melodies backwards then playing them in reverse, layering sound upon sound to create 'pads', literally breaking electronics to get sounds, and a strict motto of 'anything goes, pure creativity'. Most sounds were run thru Peaking Lights' 1976 16/8
Soundcraft Series Two mixing console (the same type of board used by Lee 'Scratch' Perry at Black Ark, and at the infamous Cargo Studios where many of the early Factory Records bands were recorded) to add some 'mojo'. It's an album that is sure to be a
creeper even if you don't fall in love on the first date.

Dive does need no introduction. Frontman of Belgian EBM prime-movers The Klinik and the seminal minimal-synth act Absolute Body Control, Dirk Ivens started to work under this moniker in 1990 and has released a long list of albums and EP's on a wide number of labels including Minus Habens (Italy), Daft Records (Belgium), Discordia (Germany) and recently Out of Line (Germany). Dive is a sharp mix of industrial, EBM, noise and experimental sounds with abused drum machines, pulsating distortion and an unmistakable voice.

This live show recorded on the famous Razzmatazz in Barcelona on April 2003 shows Dirk at the best of his fruitful career including some of Dive best tracks: Final Report', Sufferhead', Power of Passion' and others.

Flying was the Italo Disco project of Marzio Benelli and Andrea Venturoli from Firenze, Italy. Marzio specialized in sound engineering at various recording studios in Milan throughout the early 1980s. He opened Emme Studio where we worked with major national and international artists as Claudio Baglioni, Renato Zero, Venditti, Marco Masini, Pieces, Mia Martini, Litfiba, Mick Ronson. In 1984 he met Andrea, a sound programmer who knew his way around analog synthesizers. Their first collaboration was that same year on the song Computer Sourire' for Alexander Robotnick debut album.

In 1985 the duo recorded 'Marilyn', the debut single for the project Flying that was released the same year on Sound Of Italy. Their basic set up for recording was a PPG Wave 2.3 Synthesizer, Elka Synthex, Roland Jupiter-8, Roland TB-808 and TR-909 and a Gibson Les Paul guitar. They recruited producer Nicola Serena to program the DMX Oberheim drum machine. On vocals was Stefano Fly' Matteoli, a DJ at discoteques Concorde and Sombrero in Tuscany. Backup Vocals were sisters Antonella Bianchi (Plustwo, Belen Thomas) and Marina Bianchi (Plustwo, Sue Sadlow), who was Marzio's wife. Stefano confidently sings a haunting love story, full of tragic doubts and cruel dreams. Hand played percussion leads the song complemented by the keyboards that complete the infectious melody, with catchy hooks, and 4/4 beats that clock in at 100 beats per minute. On the B-side, the dubbed out 8 minute Remix Version' makes use of the Publison Infernal Machine, an innovative multi-FX processor that was the first sampler to change the speed of a song without affecting pitch. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each record comes in a full color sleeve featuring the original iconic cover with misspelling of the title art plus a postcard with lyrics and with notes.

We are proud to present a 4-song EP of songs by the Italo Disco duo of Domenico Ricchini and Joe Garrasco. Domenico formed his first rock band in 1974, and four years later his first Disco band. During the early 80's he produced records under various names like Delanua, Bob Salton and Sylvi Foster. In 1983 he took the alias Joe Yellow and started recording with the producers Roberto Turatti and Miki Chieregato to release one of the biggest Italo Disco singles "Lover To Lover". In 1985 he teamed up with Joe Garrasco, a DJ at Free Club a Super Dancing Discotheque in Braone, Italy. Their first composition together was another hit single for Joe Yellow, I'm Your Lover' released in 1986.

In Spring 1986 the duo began working on a new song for a yet unnamed side project. They spent a few days at 33 Studio in Milan and recorded Love Sex For Sale' with Jimmy Mc Foy on vocals. This project was titled Garrasco's and the single was released in 1986 on Fuori Di Testi. Unsatisfied with the mix, they booked a fresh session at Regson Studio in Milan to re-record the song. The result was re-naming the projecting Joe Garrasco & M.M. (for the band Marita - Marillena) and the song as Action' released on Out Records in 1986. All four mixes display dark, driving melodies with surging synthesizers that build to a climax for the chorus. Jimmy sings back and forth between English and French about a finding love after a night of dancing under the moon. Both instrumental mixes display more adventurous electronic arrangements than their vocal counterparts. The Other Mix of Love Sex For Sale' employs a vocoder spoken introduction that sounds like Vincent Price narrating a horror movie and showcases a female freestyle rap by backup singers Lidia Salvetti and Cristina Scara. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each record comes in a full color sleeve featuring the original cover art from both singles on the front and back plus a postcard with a photo and notes.

That we live in a world changed is beyond question. Since 2015's Zenith, Berlin-based songwriter Molly Nilsson has surrendered to the world, traveling from Mexico to Glasgow, observing the changing socio-political landscape and imagining a better world. For an artist who has so successfully created her own environment and gradually let others in, her 8th studio album Imaginations sees Nilsson directly engaging with her surroundings, engendering change and allowing love in. The artist's vision on this album is perhaps more forceful than the emotionally fragile moments of previous album Zenith, at times exemplified on songs like Memory Foam, a bright, driving pop song that belies themes of nostalgia and the past, reminding us that Molly alone can make us feel so welcome in loneliness. If there's overt anger in songs like Money Never Sleeps, an anthem for a post-capitalist utopia if ever there was one, there's also seams of optimism sewn into the album's genetic code. Any revolutionary will tell you that anger alone achieves nothing - Nilsson's mission on Imaginations is to offer some alternatives we can hold close. Not Today Satan is a song about accepting love as the agent of change, Don't be sad, but do get mad at all the small men who act so tall, in the end they always fall, there ain't no sin in giving in to love, that's just how we're winning the fight.' Love can be visceral, a weapon with which to fight the power.On Imaginations Molly is recasting her interior monologue as a prism through which to see the world, a means to live differently and to reject the status quo. We can Think Pink, change our destiny together. This is an optimism about the future when we need it the most. New boys, new girls.. give me your smile and I'll give you mine' Clearly, we are living through a transformation but with alchemists like Molly Nilsson, we're never alone in the process.

Released in 1981 and seamlessly blending passion, sleaze and synths, this was the stunning debut album by the influential duo Soft Cell. The song written by Marzio and his sister-in-law, Antonella Bianchi from Italo Disco group Plustwo, who also sings back up vocals. The song features dark, driving bass, solid drums and melodic synthesizers that Tony's deep vocals float over. Lyrically the song is a romantic dream where the singer falls in love forgetting the bittersweet disappointment of day to day reality. On the B-side is the slightly shorter instrumental version with extended breaks, drum claps and dubbed out bass lines.
