Sequoyah Tiger is the brainchild of Leila Gharib, songwriter and singer with a constantly shapeshifting voice from Verona, Italy. Following last year's Ta-Ta-Ta-Time EP, Sequoyah Tiger's debut album Parabolabandit expands Leila's distinct musical language, dragging us deep into her dark, twisted and sparkling fantasy. While exploring the limits and hubs of pop traditions, weird sound studies and vocal experiments, she comes up with bewilderingly beautiful songs in which vintage rock 'n' roll and present-day avant pop happily clash with electronic and acoustic elements, jagged beats and subtle rhythms, otherworldly shouts and confessional words.

Matching the customized vibe of her music, Leila likes to create compelling word combinations as shown by those of her alias and release titles. - Parabolabandit is a graft between two words that emerged during the writing process of the songs , she explains. - Inside this imaginary word I found roots, trunk and leaves of the entire album. The concepts triggered by this neologism inspired not only new music, but also videos, artworks and future live performances, for which Leila will share the stage with dancer Sonia Brunelli. A - parabola can mean a dynamic, geometric shape, but also refers to a storytelling technique. A - bandit on the other hand represents something mysterious, an uncanny figure. You can easily spot all those contexts in Sequoyah Tiger's music.

Since Leila has always been involved with collaborative projects like the performance art duo Barokthegreat or the indie rock outfit Bikini The Cat, this album presented a chance to handle the whole process on her own, from writing to mixing. The album was recorded in Leila's basement studio - Vampa Club , where she follows a kind of trial-and-error approach, discovering new possibilities by solving problems. Every input is welcome: acoustic drums mixed with drum machines, processed guitars and synthesizers, field recordings and animal calls. But - singing is the main point and the cause for this project , Leila stresses. From the intimate crooning of album opener - Another World Around Me to the Chipmunk outro of - Brilliant One , Leila passes through a wide array of vocal effects, tuning her voice to the mood of the songs. Although she shut out external influences, you can still hear echoing Joe Meek. The harmonies of The Everly Brothers shine through in songs like - Sissi , and - Where Am I has the sentimental air of a Ronettes classic. Still, you get dragged into the present again and again: The synth arpeggios of - Punta Otok confirm that Leila shares the DIY-pop attitude of Visions-era Grimes, while - Brother Brother inhabits the same weird world as Panda Bear. From beginning to end, Parabolabandit is a unique and sincere sketch of modern pop music, full of enthusiasm and inventiveness.

International Feel's newest signing Private Agenda are taking us back to a time when soul first met synthesisers, shoulder pads were as vital as the right Berlin address and Sheffield met the sonic Caribbean playground of Compass Point.

It was from this juxtaposed melting pot that the early seeds of Alfredo's Balearic Beat movement gathered pace and 'Déjà Vu' is a cocktail of Linda Di Franco, a Roxy Music esque aesthetic, bound together by elements of the inventive, contemporary production values of artists such as Todd Terje and Prins Thomas. 'Freefalling' on the reverse proves a fitting reflection of Private Agenda's wider vision. Finding sonic roots in early Balearicism - ethereal vocal lines over delicate percussion.

Uniting their disparate tastes and talents for the first time, the trio's debut single, 'Déjà Vu', provides a wonderful introduction to their world where production values are as detailed as they are bombastic lyrics, as reflective as they are bold.

Private Agenda are Martin, Sean & Nick. Martin's first synthesiser was an organ. He met Sean in German class. Sean was famous at school for his Mercuryesque indierockband stage presence and was especially dedicated to the art of songwriting. A few years later in Berlin, Martin moves in with Nick. The first time they worked together, they went for hours straight without a break. "I wanted to watch him mix music forever, it was magic," Martin recalled. Although it could have happened anywhere, Berlin was the place they all came together for the first time. Ladies and gentlemen, Private Agenda.

Les Disques du Crepuscule present an extended double disc reissue of Shiver, the acclaimed debut album by seminal Swedish artist  Virna Lindt, originally released by The Compact Organization in 1983.

Written and produced by Virna Lindt and Tot Taylor, Shiver offers 12 slices of chic orchestrated pop informed by 'foreign film' soundtracks, movie composers John Barry and Ennio Morricone, Modernist musique concrete and Cold War spy thrillers. The album spawned three singles: Attention Stockholm, Intelligence and I Experienced Love. For the most part Lindt provides the voiceover for her own narratives, occasionally striking reflective poses amid orchestral swells and multi-layered atmospherics; a clear influence on later acts such as Pulp, St Etienne and Air.

This new edition of Shiver showcases acoustically-enhanced mixes prepared by Taylor and Lindt in 1997, augmented with non-album singles Model Agent and Young & Hip, and immaculate instrumental versions of key album tracks such as Underwater Boy and The Dossier on Virna Lindt. The extended tracklist also finds room for a leftfield cover of Windmills of Your Mind, originally written by Michel Legrand and Alan & Marilyn Bergman for The Thomas Crown Affair and recorded for the Crepuscule compilation album Moving Soundtracks.

Cover photography is by E.A. Janes. The 2xCD edition is housed in a 6 panel digipack with a 12 page booklet. The double vinyl set comes in a stylish gatefold sleeve and includes a free digital copy.

Lassigue Bendthaus is the electro-industrial project of Uwe Schmidt aka Atom™ or Señor Coconut from Germany. Uwe Schmidt began making music in the early 1980s, first playing drums, then switching to programming a drum computer after he had heard a Linn Drum on the radio. In 1986 he co-founded the cassette label N.G. Medien, on which his first musical work under the name Lassigue Bendthaus, ''The Engineer's Love'', was released. Soon after, he started to work on what would become his first official record release, the album ''Matter''. The recordings and production began in 1986 and took almost 4 years, until the album finally came out in 1991 on the German Parade Amoureuse label. Musically somewhere between late ''Industrial'' and ''Electronic Body Music'', yet already anticipating ''Acid'' and ''Techno'', this production managed to cause quite a stir, due to its advanced production techniques. Songs pay strong homage to Kraftwerk, approaching the early industrial dance scene with a softer sequential approach than most of his contemporaries. ''Matter'' is a hermetic reflection about the relationship between perception, nature, science, technology and labor. This reissue comprises the entire 1991 ''Matter'' LP, as well a bonus 7'' record containing 2 tracks never before released on vinyl. All songs on ''Matter'' were recorded and mixed by Tobias Freund (Pink Elln). All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl is housed in a jacket featuring the photographic traces of a high-energy photon hitting a proton. Each LP includes a 2-sided insert with original album reviews, press clippings, liner notes by Atom™ and photos.

Red Axes have come a long way since the 2014's Ballad Of The Ice. Red Axes snake their way through genres and periods, clearing an unorthodox highway through conventions, nodding to the past, eyes on the future. Live drums, jangling guitars, fuzzed out synths and an all pervasive psychedelia emerge as the backbone of The Beach Goths. Opener Ride The Sus leads in with a nonchalant blues indebted bluster; Tarzan Blues and Relaxation (For Your Mind And Body) call halftime with a bow down to Dead Kennedys and Cramps era proto punk and rockabilly. While the Axes are quick to jam out exotic post-punk numbers, the land of The Beach Goths is a land of contrasts. The clubs are never far and the drum machines come out on prime time club ready chuggers Piper Work, Shir 1 and the album's first choice excerpt Tantram Power.

The land of The Beach Goths is a land of contrasts.

Laurel Halo returns to Hyperdub for her third LP with a fresh approach and a new sound. Routed out of the electronic abstraction of 2015's In Situ - but with clear reference to 2012's sleeper-hit Quarantine - Dust is an album revolving around loose and languid songs; warped, sun-filled, melted and at times, heavy-hearted and obscure. Recorded over a period of two years, the writing process began at EMPAC in upstate New York in January 2015. With access to microphones, percussion, keys and a wide range of routings, Laurel spent days alone in the cavernous space, later inviting musicians Eli Keszler and Lafawndah to join her there. Those sessions would eventually become this album: a collection of breezy, broken songs, based on woody instrumentation, sub bass and restless, intricate electronics. Earnest songwriting meets with modal cut-up strategies, improvisational playing with higrade digital dust. Tactile and fibrous throughout the record, the vocals and percussion coalesce and breathe life into each other. Swung grooves eddy and collapse; acoustic drums are warped into sensual, febrile melodies. The lyrics are themselves bricolage, without a specific narrator or place in time. They slip in and out of view, something that is visualised in the album's inner panel. Extending the influence, the album opener 'Sun To Solar' is an adaptation of 'Servidão de Passagem' by Brazilian concrete poet Haroldo de Campos. In line with the album's sound, Dust is 'Laurel Halo' as a flexible cast of characters. Filled with dialogue, the album helms an interchangeable ensemble of vocalists and musicians, featuring vocals from Klein, Lafawndah, and Michael Salu, as well as musicians such as Eli Keszler, Craig Clouse ($hit and $hine), Julia Holter, Max D, Michael Beharie and Diamond Terrifier. Laurel's omnivorous influences play out in mutated fashion - coalesced, unfettered and inclusive - a broad musical palette free from entrenched modes, catalysed by digital production that could only happen in 2017.

MFM 019 will be an EP of works by Denis Mpunga and Paul K. Combining elements of traditional African music with experimental electronics, the Belgian/Congolese duo released only a handful of tracks, scattered across a few rare LP and cassette compilations that were put out in the mid eighties by obscure european labels . This release also includes a few previously unreleased songs that were found on the original master tapes

Sen Am' is the third album by London/ Freetown based artist Duval Timothy.

Drawing upon his Sierra Leonean and British identity, 'Sen Am' which means 'send it' in Krio is Duval's most personal album to date. The album continues Duval's work on solo piano on tracks such as "Whale" as well as introducing layers of vocal samples, software instruments, field recordings and WhatsApp voice notes from friends and family sprinkled throughout the record.

The project hosts one feature from longtime collaborator Nicholas Mandalos who's slide guitar Duval layers on the track "Language".

Sen am is Duval's first release under his own label Carrying Colour. The album was recorded, mixed and designed by himself. In this way the project brings together the many disciplines Duval work's across into one wide ranging project.

After the release of their first album 'Born Under Saturn' in 2012, and its follow up in 2015, musical adventurers Django Django went on to unchart new sounds and announce the release of 'Marble Skies", their new album, on January 26th 2018. 'Tic Tac Toe' is the first extract of this forthcoming album, and gets an exclusive 7 EP release. The track is a dancing, psychedelic uptempo and terribly catchy rock title; and will fulfill every Django Django's rockabilly influence fan's expectations. Actually, the track is inspired from the very same improvisation that WOR and Shake & Tremble recorded for 'Born Under Saturn". The music video was directed by John Maclean, brother of David (drummer and producer of Django Django), and director of the atypical western 'Slow West".

LIMITED EDITION VINYL features white scratch-off ink and a 25 cent piece cased in a plastic outer sleeve. Each copy will be unique, as the quarter will move around the plastic sleeve in transit creating its own pattern. This is intentional, so any scratches that appear on the front cover when the vinyl arrives is a result of this. Sirens is the highly anticipated second full-length LP from Nicholas Jaar, the Chilean-born electronic music producer, mixing engineer and DJ, which comes out on October 14, 2016 via Other People/Kobalt. A prolific artist with a wide palette of talents, Jaar spent his teenage years in dance music circles in New York City, where he now resides. In 2011, he released his debut album, the critically-acclaimed Space is Only Noise. In 2012, he was contributed to BBC Radio 1's prestigious 'Essential Mix' series, winning 'Essential Mix of the Year'. In 2013, Matador released the debut album from Darkside, Jaar's project with his friend Dave Harrington. The band toured the record with a giant, rotating circular mirror, with key performances at Primavera Sound and Coachella. Other notable projects by Jaar include From Scratch, a live concept first developed for MOMA PS1, Pomegranates, an ambient record and alternate soundtrack to the Armenian film The Colour of Pomegranates, and the original soundtrack for´Dheepan, a thriller by the French filmmaker Jacque Audiard about a family of Sri Lankan refugees living in the suburbs of Paris. Dheepan won the Palme D'Or at Cannes in 2015. Jaar is the founder of the New York based imprint Other People, releasing music and spoken word by a diverse group of artists ranging from Lydia lunch to Ezekiel Honig.

Moodoïd is a psychedelic rock band founded in 2013 by Pablo Padovani, the project's leader and mastermind. Early nicknamed the 'new prodigy of French pop music", Pablo wrote and conceived a first very peculiar, pop and psychedelic album. They notably toured with Phoenix and played with renowned musician and producer Damon Albarn. Soaked in psychedelic pop and world music, the songs written by Pablo Padovani evoke just as much Os Mutantes tropicalism, Connan Mockasin dreamy atmospheres and Gong progressive liberties. Supported by French lyrics, Moodoïd blasts genres, times and horizons. 'Reptile' EP is a natural evolution of the project towards a more modern sound, without losing its so peculiar synthetic and funky touch. The very composition of the tracks clearly indicated the need for studio musicians, in order to develop every disco/funk aspect of the record. The recording of the album happened in two times : first, Pablo set up the band and directed their recording (with experimented sound engineer Yann Arnaud), and then this 'live' matter was reworked and integrated to Pierre Rousseau more electronic production. The track 'Reptile' is a new proof of Moodoïd's sloughing. Only passion and lust have resisted the project's solitary soul Pablo Padovani's metamorphosis. Moodoïd changes skin, but skins keep on caressing. More erotic than toxic, Moodoïd's new venom progresses through funky guitar and synthetic arpeggios, with Pierre Rousseau and Pablo's producing, and David Wrench (The XX, Hot Chip, LA Priest) mixing.

Diving Bell Recording Co. is excited to announce Silent Science', the debut solo release from B- R- A- U- N. Ben Braun has spent the last decade as one half of the synth-pop duo Mackintosh Braun, releasing three albums with the band. With Silent Science', B- R- A- U- N continues down the path he paved with Mackintosh Braun and brings his music even further from the eighties influences that first sparked his inspiration. The concept began for Braun as an awareness of the personal freedoms that he had sacrificed to live in the comforts of new technology. A longing for a more simple life pushes and pulls this album from past to present. From undeniable dance hooks, to sleepwalking chill-out, we meander our way from disco naps to lucid slumbers.

he Copenhagen based pop wonders Blaue Blume return with a new EP - 'Sobs'. The band formed around 6 years ago in a provincial Danish town, drawn to each other's love for rich, playful music. Blaue Blume (blue flower) is the epitome of a romantic band, their songs are brimming with love and yearning. Now 'Sobs', the follow up to their 'Syzygy' album in 2015, continues to build their reputation as a best kept secret, about to find a whole new audience of devotees. All four tracks for the EP were recorded in late 2016 in a three story villa, formerly owned by a religious cult. The band used the weird space away from the city to create a framework for the lyrics and the music. The band explains: 'Blaue Blume has been our band for about 6 years. In a bigger provincial town we started playing right out of highschool. At the moment we live in Copenhagen and every day we play, write and work on sounds. It's sort of become a life project. In our heads we make music that is playful, rich in detail and popish or somewhat smiling. For some beautifully inexplicable reason we ended up doing music together. In a way it seems sacred or at least meaningful. Macabre is a happy song about being afraid of dying. Some of us find that even the best life can be lonely sometimes. We found it interesting to address this taboo within the frame of a song that people could potentially dance or sing along to.

French psych duo The Limiñanas today released their new single 'Istanbul Is Sleepy' through Because Music. Featuring Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) and produced at his Berlin studio, the single is taken from their 'Istanbul Is Sleepy' EP out 17th November. The band, who are set to release a new album early next year, will play their debut London show at Oslo on 5th October. Directed by Jean Luc Moly, the moody, Sixties-inspired video to 'Istanbul Is Sleepy' premiered on Brooklyn Vegan: link here

Reflecting on the single and their collaboration with Newcombe, Lionel explained, "'Istanbul Is Sleepy' is like the classic dream where you become the hero, the Captain Blood or Midnight Sultan(). The one who rescues and seduces Maureen O'Hara or Ava Gardner. Anton is singing and playing guitar on the track. He was inspired, in particular, by The Cult during their 'Rain' period. Last year, Mojo magazine asked us to record a cover for a special Kinks tribute. We chose 'Two Sisters'. Marie and I were thinking for the vocal part it would be great to approach Anton Newcombe, having opened for The Brian Jonestown Massacre at Le Trianon in Paris. The work began like that. We had an album to record and we decided to finish it with him. During the Christmas week we took our demos, flew to Berlin and recorded at Anton's studio. Six days later we had a finished album".

One of France's most beloved treasures, The Limiñanas are Marie (drums/vocals) and Lionel (guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals). Hailing from Perpignan, the duo straddles the boundary between psych, shoegaze, and yé-yé. With hazy, reverb-laden hooks, combined at times with noisy distortion, and fronted by effortlessly cool vocals, reminiscent of Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot, the band is at once timeless and quintessentially French.

Sublime compilation of long-lost Australian indie-pop, acoustic jangle and beat happenings gathered by Melbourne-based collector and DJ Bayu and label head Moopie. Twelve tracks of singular vision spanning up- and downbeat pop, post-punk and minimal synth rarities recorded between 1982 and now. Australian twee pop royalty the Cat's Miaow shares the stage with the Cannanes and the Particles; Ya Ya Choral with Sarah Records' own Even As We Speak. Included is the previously unreleased 'Dot', by Mutant Sounds cult band Maestros and Dipsos. Full colour reverse-card sleeve with printed insert and lyrics sheet.

I fell in love with Coil's music as a teenager in the 1980s. In the 1990s I put Coil's 'Nasa Arab' on a compilation I released called 'Out There' and not long after that they remixed Chris & Cosey for a C&C remix compilation I released called 'Twist'.

In 2008, Domino Records invited Optimo to put together a compilation of music for them to release. I wanted to include Coil's 'A Cold Cell' and after approaching Peter Christopherson for permission to release it he suggested doing an exclusive remix for the compilation. How could I say no The remix was titled 'A Cold Cell In Bangkok'. It was glorious and many Coil fans as well as people who had previously never heard of them fell in love with it after hearing it on the 'Sleepwalk' compilation.

Over the years I have received many requests to make this available on vinyl. As Peter Christopherson and Jhonn Balance are no longer with us I felt I was unable to release it without their blessing, but after long consideration have decided to make it available. 100% off all profits made from this release will be donated to the Thai Children's Trust. In the last years of his life Peter Christoperson had made Thailand his home and fallen in love with the country and its people so I feel he would have approved of this use of funds generated by his music.

'A Cold Cell In Bangkok' will be released on a single sided 12' single with a silk screened image on the other side lovingly designed by Lindsay Todd, the remarkable and acclaimed Scottish artist and runner of the Firecracker, Sacred Summits, Shevchenko and Unthank record labels.

This record is dedicated to the memories of Jhon Balance and Peter Christoperson whose music has brought so much joy and light into my life.

Als sie mit 16 Jahren nach Großbritannien zog, war sie konfrontiert mit einer modernen Welt voller ihr unbekannter und flüchtiger Eindrücke. Gespickt mit Erinnerungen aus ihrer südafrikanischen Kindheit, verwendet sie ihre Musik heute als ein Kontrast- und Kommunikationsmittel mit dieser neuen Umgebung. Die Musik ist ihre Art, die menschlichen Wiedersprüchlichkeiten zu erkunden, die sie auf ihren Reisen durch Europa kennenlernte. Heute lebt Romy im ländlichen Nord Wales.

Spanning 41 tracks, 'Tribal Rites' is a musical autobiography of sorts from one of dance music's most dedicated historians, Bill Brewster. Released this November on 3 CDs and double vinyl via Belgium's Eskimo Recordings, the compilation takes us on a personal journey through Bill's 36 year long involvement in the music industry.

Whether running DMC's New York offices or labels including Twisted UK and Forensic, being one of Fabric's original residents, writing (with Frank Broughton) probably the definitive overview of DJ culture, the seminal 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life' and the equally essential 'How To DJ (Properly)', running the DJhistory website or promoting their much loved Low Life parties, Bill's fingerprints can be found all over dance music's past few decades.

So whilst there are few people more qualified to compile such a thing, 'Tribal Rites' isn't just a 'House & Disco Greatest Hits', instead we have the soundtrack to a life spent at the coalface of record collecting, of early mornings at car boot sales and late nights logged onto Discogs.

Split into three sections, the compilation begins in the post-punk period, and through tracks such as explores the influence of dub on bands of the time such as Orang Utan, General Strike and The Raincoats. The second section takes us into that mish-mash of sounds and styles best described as 'Balearic' where the likes of Bobby Gentry and Final Edition can happily co-exist and a country and western cover of Hall & Oates 'I Can't Go For That' seems like the most obvious thing in the world.

The final section then concentrates exclusively on house music, though again showcasing just what a broad church House is, able to accommodate both the spiritual yearnings of Mother Tongue's 'Message of Love' and the precision tooled productions of Basic Channel's Maurizio.

At a moment in time when dance music is more prominent than ever and DJs are treated like pop stars, 'Tribal Rites' is a vital reminder that there's a lot more to DJing than just downloading the latest Beatport chart and waving your hands in the air.

There aren't many artists that can lay claim to having put out records on labels as divergent as Rough Trade and John Talabot's Hivern Discs. Perhaps this is because few artists express such genuine diversity in their musical tastes and creative explorations as David Kitt. Since the turn of the decade as New Jackson he has mined a seam of driving, ghostly house to run parallel with his solo strand of ambient folk electronica. His debut release in 2011 The Night Mail on Pogo channeled early record collection heroes Aphex Twin and Orbital through to Drexciya and Projekt PM but had one foot firmly in the 21st century beaming in like some futuristic cyberballad. On the flip side Hussle Free had that mix of house and boogie sensibilities with dark and dusty synths and vocoder that would become a signature. This was followed by acclaimed releases on Hivern, Permanent Vacation, Major Problems, Apartment and most recently Cin Cin. His debut album set for release on All City in May was recorded in Kitt's bedroom studio overlooking Dublin bay, its nocturnal hues very much a product of the nightshift often working on headphones with the rest of his housemates fast asleep. It takes full advantage of the scope of the LP format, ebbing and flowing between deep house club ready gems and more restrained and meditative beatless moments for the morning after. The recording process yielded many eureka moments with Kitt finally nailing sounds that had hitherto proved elusive.

Following up right after its first vinyl release, Todh Teri returns with Volume 2. Todh Teri's retrospective continues to reimagine the golden era of Indian cinema. Sampadan chaar revisits a Bollywood ballad with a light breeze of acid thrown on. Next up, a homage to a legendary Indian producer, with a retouch to his classic 1980's tune. The final edit on the EP takes on a sensuous super hit from a Pakistani-born disco queen. Giving it a little soul, and a lot of groove. Making this a significant release that proves the artist will continue to produce top notch reworks. Once again Todh Teri recreates memories of the legacy Indian music directors & singers left behind. A tribute that's fresh & definitive. Circa 2000 aka William Wiffen presents his debut album 'Thought In Vias' on Computer Club, a journey for the ears and hearts of electronic connoisseurs.These are the sounds of an electrical engineering graduate and accomplished musician, from Bridlington to Brighton, via a unique autobahn of analogue synth sounds. Haunting modulation with finely detuned oscillators sweep through the tracks, glued together with relaxed improvisation.Provoking feelings of Depeche Mode, Air, Neu!, Tangerine Dream and including the killer track 'Fall All Over The Place', 'Thoughts In Vias' is 40 minutes of genuine "kosmische Musik".

Prash Mistry's endeavor as a producer, songwriter, performer, and engineer under his Engine-Earz Experiment alias is without doubt the project from which this rising star will be born. With the same sensibilities of the likes of Massive Attack and The Prodigy, Prash fuses varied genres and instrumentation, while enlisting an array of collaborators to create a distinct style of genre-hopping electronic music.

For Prash, Engine-Earz Experiment channels his skills and experience from working with a huge roster of artists including The Prodigy, Nitin Sawhney, Roots Manuva, and Grammy award winning jazz bassist, John Benitez, as well as touring with the likes of The Streets, Tricky, DJ Shadow (who cited Prash as a major influence during his 2016 Beats show), and Enter Shikari. This experience has allowed one of the UK's most flourishing artists to achieve a host of accolades already in his young career. Bus Vipers is the moniker of Canberra-bred, Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Ahern. A new signing to Future Classic, Bus Vipers comes fresh with a new live band and EP, Federal Highway. Sounding like a mix between Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Silversun Pickups, this indie rock project is prone to hooky vocals, punchy drums and strong guitar riffs. In 2013, triple j Unearthed ranked him #20 in the '50 Most Played Artists' of that year.

Patience - aka songwriter Roxanne Clifford - may have begun as a solo refuge from the Manchester-born, LA-Resident's band duties but White Of An Eye, her 3rd single, is a fully formed, dancing-with-a tear-in-your-eye, confident Pop Moment. The attempt at shedding memories to embrace the present, an ode to the moment. Like her previous two singles The Church and The Pressure, Lewis Cook of Happy Meals engineers Clifford's vision to Jacno-esque synth pop perfection. Blooming with a tentative synth cadence and nonchalant spoken word introduction, White Of An Eye soon erupts into perfect disco melancholy, with Clifford's imagery perfectly nailing that nagging regret that haunts every new adventure. With the first appearance of a guitar hook in a Patience song, it's a classic pop moment enunciated perfectly by Clifford's instantly recognizable vocal.

Melted skies, horizon lines are floating overhead' Blue Sparks Is a nocturne peppered with impressionistic imagery, romantic and doomed. Minimalist and affecting, here Patience is simply two synth lines and Clifford's vocal. It's Patience's version of a Berntholer-style sadness, even evoking a Yazoo ballad. Like a Johnny Jewel production injected with passion, Patience captures the spark between two human hearts, the elusive, indefinable chemistry of sleepless, endless nights.

July saw Patience's live debut, touring Japan with a full live band. The Fader will premiere the video for White Of An Eye, filmed by the Mulholland Fountain in Los Angeles and directed by Lawrence Klein.

Aufgenommen in Anjos Heimstudio in Portland und bei Sessions in L.A., finden sich auf RACs neuem Album Kollaborationen mit u.a. Rivers Cuomo von Weezer, Vampire Weekends Rostam, MNDR, ST. Lucia, KNA und Joywave. "EGO" ist Anjos ambitioniertestes, geschlossenstes und persönlichstes Werk und zeigt deutlich seine organische Weiterentwicklung als Künstler auf. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Portugal, lernte Anjos in seiner Jugend Klavier und Gitarre und spielte in lokalen Bands. Später zog er in die USA, um Musikbusiness am Greenville College in Illinois zu studieren, bevor er sich in Portland, Oregon, niederließ. Anjos gründete RAC im Schlafzimmer seines Studentenwohnheims und gewann fortan ein stetig wachsendes Publikum für sich, woraus wiederum offizielle Remix-Aufträge für u.a. Lana del Rey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ellie Goulding, Foster The People, Phoenix, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club und The Shins resultierten.
