DAS MOTH is the alias of the Tokyo-based musician and former punk-band-member Tim Sullivan. DAS MOTH is a unique fusion of angular basslines, beautiful, esoteric synths and undeniable dance energy.

After spending some time with Peter Seiler in a duo called "Sirius", Michael Bundt (ex-Medusa) went on to record several solo electronic works that resembled both the space majesty of early Jean Michel Jarre and the quirky krautrockish kinetics of Moebius & Plank.

Peaches and Prines is a classic disco tune that has been given a very rare ron hardy edit. Don't sleep!

2nd E.P from Basement Soul aka Greymatter via the Kat label, which, in a similar vein to Vol 1 hits hard bringing us 3 more edits with the sole intention of getting them feet firmly on the dancefloor and getting down proper. Loads of support on this from Horsemeatdisco, Ashley Beadle, Domu etc..
Chains is the Teena Marie beauty from 1980. Ace funky disco with subtle (but very effective) cuts n beefed up drums. This edit rolls in at just over 7 mins and sounds all the mightier for it.
Newban's Magic Lady is a massive slab of afrocaribbean disco goodness pure n simple. Horns...breakdowns...killa vocals and conga's a plenty.
Girl Watching is another funk-edged boogie big hitter. Original by T-Connection, Greymatter takes the already massive original and takes things up a notch or two.

Slow funky jam with female vocal & chorus - the fat bass rock the groove.

George Benson's name is legendary, his much vaunted career in music has spanned decades, styles, trends and tastes. A prodigious jazz, funk & fusion guitarist and vocalist, Benson cut his teeth in the 1960's releasing music on labels such as CTI, Paul Winley, A&M and Warner Brothers. He has had numerous hit records throughout his career and maintained the respect and credibility that he built from the ground up, influencing generations of musicians, artists & producers. His 1977 version of the classic 'The World Is A Ghetto' features beautiful string-laden production and of course, Benson's languid guitar playing that graces the wonderful Claus Ogerman arrangements effortlessly. As well as being an underground disco classic, this amazing groove has been sampled by numerous contemporary producers, most notable Moodymann, Kanye West, Bob Sinclair and many more, a testament to the lush production and soul contained within the grooves of this classic. This repress is programmed exactly like the '77 disco promo 12" that record pool members and DJ's would have received and due to licensing constraints it features the same 9 minute 41 second mix on both sides.
