The first in a series of 12"s where PACIFIC HORIZONS call on their pals to rework their tracks. BITCHES BREW label boss/DJ COSMO and YAM WHO remix "BEACHES OF THE BLACK SEA" on one side, while "STEALING THE FIRE FROM HEAVEN" gets remixed by LA DJ's TK DISCO & ALEXANDRE MOURACAD on the flip.

R.K. is the new musical collaboration of Ronnie Turner (Blunted Funk Project) and Kev Beadle (Solar Radio/Southport Weekender).
On this first release the boys have chosen two much loved classic tracks from back in the day and have respectfully extended and re-tweaked them for play to those that know the score.
First up Charles Earland's 1980 classic 'Coming To You Live' gets the R.K. treatment with an extended intro featuring killer brass,
percussion and bassline groove that builds and builds to the hooky vocal drop.
Next up the percussive and horn heavy, orchestrated string laden Salsoul Orchestra disco version of the Earth,
Wind & Fire classic 'Getaway' gets an overhaul extending the track by nearly 3 minutes from the original.
This one is all about the groove and if this doesn't get them going you're dj'ing in the wrong place !!

With a shuffle, a wink and a swing of the hips, Original Cuts returns to wax with a quartet of tried-and-tested dancefloor bumpers from label head honcho Deadly Sins.

As usual, Deadly Sins has provided us with a four-pack of hypnotic, filter-heavy disco cuts that slither their way across the dancefloor with all the sinewy charm of an eager python on heat. Taken inspiration from forgotten disco gems and simmering secret soul jams, Original Cuts 03 bumps, grinds, struts and jigs from start to finish.

Secret Circuit, having been knighted by tastemaker Tim Sweeney by releasing their first 12 on his Beats in Space imprint, seriously run the voodoo down with this intense jam: jungle drums, spellbinding exotic chants once obstinately nesting in your head once you heard them, cheeping, bleeping and tweeting dub noises messing with your sense of orientation, gyrating guitar chords in a My bloody Valentine style and between all this wonderful sonic chaos a slightly latin-jazz tinged piano breaks its way. A beautiful maze of a track where you easily can get lost in for the rest of this summer. On the flip Portugal's Tiago accentuates the cosmic rock vibe throwing in an aggressive guitar riff that sounds very much like Chicago's 'I'm a man' and Prins Thomas chucks the looser jam-like first part of the original over board and bundles the psychedelic elements to a breathlessly, constantly intensifying pressure cooker.

The response on the first EP of afro/latin house workouts from Jose Marquez was a big hit for Basic Fingers and sold out on the first run.
So, now we got a new Jose Marquez EP with two new amazing cuts.
Side A opens with the massive "La Mezcla" which also was sampled by Michel Cleis tech-house classic but here it comes in the shape of a deep latin percussive house workout.
Its all about the killer flute loop...check it!

Side B is a full on percussive house bomb using Tego Calederóns "Corillo De Los Trangalanga" as the foundation.
A near perfect club tool if u wanna take the latin route while you're spinning.

Check The Guns are back with the second to last instalment in their Tape Edit series.
It's onwards and upwards for 004 where side one sees a deconstructed work out of The Fatback Bands 'The girl is so fine'. Track 2 'House Down' is a no holds barred party tune for the discerning dance floor that will do all the work for you.

On the flip 'Sugar Samba' is a rework of the London records classic from Julia and co. Finishing off we have an edit of Heatwaves 'Super Soul Sister' which is a gem of a vocal funk track that gives as good as it gets and leaves you wanting more.

From Valencia to Detroit, from Detroit to New York via Bristol and from there to Johannesburg " Daniel Kyo connects the dots on this gorgeous slice of disco-house meets urban beats. All that, on a very limited 12' with screen-printed artwork.

Finally.. its here the full Deep Disco and Boogie vol.1 compilation containing 8 full lenght rare disco/boogie winners! The UK-based dealer and collector Zaf Chowdry a.k.a. Zafsmusic.com, selected some of his finest and in-demand jams for this double pack. The compilation opens with the sought after extended mix of a KILLER and ultra-rare disco track by China Burton, which has possibly one of the most heaviest break-downs around. Ojeda Penn delivers a dancefloor smasher called 'Brotherson', heavy bassline. 'Afternoon of a Faun' is most known for being sampled by Moodymann in 'Mahogany Brown'. 'Cash - Hot Thang' closes the first half of the compilation as a proper boogie funk slammer. 'Chemistry - Closer' is a production by Dr. Otto Gomez, known for his recent reissue on PPU records. It is originally featured as a b-side on the hard to find Chemistry 12" on Masterpiece records. 'Rock Your Roll' is one of the lesser known tracks by Roy Ayers, but def a must have. 'Set It Out' by Razzmatazz was originally released in 1982 on Hit Records, a perfect boogie tune with strong synths and vocals. The CD features the 12" mix of Master Force's 'Don't Fight The Feeling', featuring a sick breakdown, a solid disco stomper and still a heavily sought after tune.

Kicking things off in style is New York's Deep & Disco with the heavily groovy Knock Me Out.
While Irish masters of cut n paste business, Get Down Edits, take more of a disco funk path with the highly infectious 'Make Your Body Move'.
Finally, all the way from Monte Carlo, Rocco Raimundo (the man behind the massive We Love Dreams from last year) threatens to tear up the dance floor with the ecstatic 'Must Be Love'. Lovingly edited and re-mastered for 100% disco action.

oogie Originals fourth release see's two names to the label (yet familiar faces).

Haku is Chris Barker (one half of Deep Space Orchestra) and he delivers an immense A-side in "Naiad" that steers through every dance genre possible. From disco to rave, vie house, boogie and even a smattering of techno, this track has a little bit of everything. It is backed up by DFA and On The Prowl Honcho Jacques Renault, who uses his magic touch to smooth out the intensity and position the track in a completely different light.

The flip has two tracks from Little Creatures (Cosmic Boogie and Andy Mac) that have a tougher, more machine driven sound. The main track "Bearfoot" is laced with old school vocals, synths and all the classic drum machines...whilst 'I Think I Feel Alright' is a more musical affair - with subtle touches of piano intertwining to create a laid back but driving vibe that can work on the ears or the feet.

Ultra-phat re-edits of two classics from one the biggest acts of the
Philly sound. Essential.

Keeping up their ethos of dancefloor "edits with the love left in" HMD bounce back on A1 with monster from their 3rd compilation. Never before released as a 12" and much in demand from DJs who have heard it in HMD sets, its a whole Horse Meat Disco original track laid out underneath the original vocal acapella. Playable peak time or at the end of the night its as deep as disco gets!

On B1 a majestic and imperial take on a classic ONE MORE TIME the HMDers push the way too short original track and lengthen it into a luscious, euphoric anthem. HMD take all responsibility for end of the night spontaneous dancefloor hug-ins.

On B2 the boys have taken the squelchy synths of a real underground track and turned up the intensity that they felt seem to disapated in the original. Keeping the vocals pretty much as they are including all the whoops and yelps that make the track so exciting HMD have stayed true to the original but have just given it the Horse Meat touch. A bit of added percusion and a whole lotta love.

Now firmly established within the international disco network thanks to contributions from the likes of Pete Herbert, Sare Havlicek, Mustang and Downtown Party Network, Budapest based label Spacewalker Recordings slip out their latest dose of discoid brilliance with Julian Sanza at the helm. Collaring the Argentine is quite the coup given his sizeable discography for the likes of Rebirth, Solardisco and Lost My Dog among others, as well as his involvement on keys for the excellent 2020 Soundsystem. Proceedings commence with the classic disco strings of "Dangerous Groove" treated with contemporary studio dust and slick echo laden filtration and aligned to a flirtatiously low slung bump, and the track gets hollowed out for an excellent fizzing dub disco remix by the Brazilian half of The Rimshooters aka Rotciv. "Royal Pains" has Sanza on more playful form, triggering vocal loops over a dusty beat whilst teasing out a sublime disco infused house groove in a manner akin to Jiscomusic era Mark E. Completing the cosmopolitan line-up is London based DJ and producer Kid Who of Mindless Boogie fame who turns in a fine remix that strips down "Royal Pains" into a refined laser disco jam.

Famed for their self-released KM Editions series, Keyboard Masher join Daphni and Tom Croose in the Resista family with the roaring 'Afro Editions', two faultless edits that distill the spirit of mother Africa.

Opener 'JuJu' is an epic fifteen minute long journey filled with joyous, duelling guitars, syncopated percussion, shuffling rhythms and a myriad of unexpected passages and turns. Captivating from the off, there's only one word to describe 'JuJu' - magical.

On the flip ' Tcham Tcham' takes a more direct route to the dancefloor... Riding on a more electronic 4/4 beat, it's unashamedly leftfield, with a thunderous chug, a great guitar riff and deadpan calls of 'Tcham Tcham', which all builds up to an anthemic climax. Drop it and watch the dancefloor melt.

Introducing 'Kleine Reise Records', a Berlin based label flowering from the roots of their beloved clubs Kleine Reise & Loftus Hall; a natural progression to further share our world of sound.

Free from the shackles of any particular style or genre and from the constraints of time, we begin a journey through the sonic universe.
Our first offering comes from two of Kleine Reise's founding members Dara Drea O'Neill and Peter Power.
On the A-side we have Sun-K, composed during several sundowns at the hazy heights of last Summer. Channeling the collective spirit of the open-air arena, it offers the first glimpse into Peter's Ufordian fantasy.
On the B-Side; Dara takes a bare-back ride through a pitched dreamscape. The constant flapping wings of a Little Dragon guides him. If you stretch out your arms it feels like flying.
Lastly with 'Red Roses' Peter conjures up an irresistible dream-like, slo-mo workout, guaranteed to be drifting out across the Adriatic beach parties this summer

Continuing on from the massive Kon 12" released on Basic Fingers we welcome back our good friend Kok. On the A side Koko delivers a real uplifting feel-good disco/boogie scorcher that will make you wish for those hot summer parties .
Stay With Me by Norman Connors is perhaps not his most known track but we'll guarantee this bad boy will be the prime time number for many DJ's as Koko's really take this track to another level. Soulfulness at its very best! On the B-side Burning Up by Imagination has, since it's release almost 30 years ago ripped up dancefloors all over with it's piano chord hook and a steady bassline. This mix is an updated version with lots more production details and plenty of Koko flavour.
Its already been tried and tested in the Basic Finger kitchen with an exceptional result.

Vibrations are fast gaining a reputation as Britain's finest exponent of vintage-leaning, analogue jack music, and this EP from the mysterious Last Floor Hotel is another winner to add to their list of fine releases. "Track One" opens with a flurry of drum machine driven power accented with acid gurgles and chilling organ chords that recall Legowelt at his finest. "Between Them" meanwhile opens proceedings with a bleep filled intro, with distant Chicago-inspired vintage bass weighting everything down as shady Detroit melodies seep through a lo-fi haze. On the flip, "Ride Me 660" is a sparse and moody acid number with neon, syrup coated bass which adds a heavy atmosphere to the EP. The record is closed out with a remix by none other than Luv Jam, who reworks "Between Them" into an airy Balearic number, with 303 flecks combining with bright melodies and a driving bassline to create the musical equivalent of stepping into a warm bath.

Small World Disco Edits are back at it again, this time with a release from the head honcho himself, LTJ! Working under his LTJ Edit Rework guise and on point as ever. Three great edits, all testaments to the reason LTJ is such a respected figure in the edit world.

The Majesty's Pleasure label returns after an extended break with their fourth issue of disco-centric edits and it's clear the time out of the spotlight has left this mystery bunch of dusty fingered tweakers fully refreshed. Whilst previous volumes have dipped toes in funk filled and Philly string led waters, Majesty's Pleasure Vol 4 focuses fully on music from the post-disco /proto-house period of the 1980s and sounds very much like a Beautiful Swimmers DJ set condensed into just 12 inches of vinyl. The concerted diggers out there will be consulting their sample notes for the source material on each of these ("Space Palace" has the most obvious hook) whilst those who've simply been enjoying output from the intermittent EROS label will love both sides here.

Having previously had their music released on labels including BearFunk,
Is It Balearic, Electric Minds and Under The Shade, the Mushrooms
Project are already well known in the sleazy disco scene.
Italians Giorgio and Marco have been producing their blend of freaky mid
tempo weirdness since 2008 and have always aimed their music straight at
the late night party.
'Fly Away' is their debut release for Leng and, at 16 minutes, is as long as it
is mesmerising with it's lazy afro quality. Full of analog instruments; guitar,
bass, synths and percussive sounds create a dirty but unique window into
the unusual minds of the Mushrooms and has set the standard for their
future releases.
On the B Side, fresh from their recent 10' release for Leng, the 40 Thieves
return with a mix of 'Fly Away' that once again shows they are ones to
watch. Adding more of those warm sounds they up toughen up the beats
for a hypnotic late night dance foor epic.
Look out for long players from both Mushrooms Project and 40 Thieves later
in 2012...

Love Interest is a new label-shaped endeavour from some of the decision makers at Records sporting a broad international remit, and they launch in style with a triple format release! The honour of the maiden Love Interest release falls upon Nyteowl, an artist based in Minneapolis and perhaps inspired by that city's most famous son Prince Rogers Nelson. This seven inch picture disc edition contains only the original Nyteowl rendition of "Love Of Mine" - there are some tasty remixes on the other DJ friendly formats - and the track is a deliciously sultry slice of electronic soul with a notably 80s flavour. Check those big drums!

This record is the result of a 1964 jam session organised by Astor Silva and Wilson Das Neves and was originally released in 1975 on the Brazilian label Discos CBS.

Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco release an un-mixed compilation of their most popular disco reworks from the last few years put together with a number of super tasty never released before cuts exclusive to this format !!

Usual high standards are maintained as the pair lovingly tweak and rework some killer tunes into big-hitting dance floor bombs.
Many of these versions have featured in their DJ sets and mixes and are now exclusively available in this limited CD release.

The track Amulet features the vocal talents of Peter Coyle of The Lotus Eaters. This is a mid tempo mellow electronic/Balearic pop groove.
Beautifully produced to create a sublime understated sunshine anthem.

Top drawer remixers are present and correct as always:
Begin takes the original and creates a deep balearic groove with marimbas and soft synth melodies.
Reverso 68 add trademark arpeggios and dance it up a touch whilst original balearic pioneer Steve Proctor rearranges the track into a big chugging acid disco groove.

Following on from the massively popular 'Philadelphia International: The Re-Edits' package, here is the 2nd release in our special 'Philly 40' campaign which is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Philadelphia International Records. Welcome to the hugely anticipated 'Philadelphia International Classics: The Tom Moulton Remixes'.

Tom Moulton's involvement with Philadelphia International spans the entire 40 years of their existence with many of his early mixes unaccredited in the era before the 12' Disco Disc. In 1977 PIR released the ground-breaking historic original double LP 'Philadelphia Classics' which featured 8 ofTom Moulton's greatest PIR mixes. The album has subsequently been reissued several times and is rightly hailed as a 'must have' classic for ANY serious music lovers' collection.

We're happy to report, after a short hiatus Ray Mang and his incomparable Mangled label are back !

His recent Disco Deviance release was more than enough to remind everyone what they'd been missing, but here we have a fresh new Mangled release - filled to brim with Ray's unique take on lost classics
