Cross Purposes ist das siebzehnte Studioalbum der englischen Rockband Black Sabbath, das ursprünglich am 31. Januar 1994 veröffentlicht wurde. Das Album markierte die Rückkehr von Tony Martin als Leadsänger der Band nach dem zweiten Ausstieg von Ronnie James Dio. Dieses 2024er Remaster ist das erste
Mal seit 30 Jahren erhältlich und wird auf Ultra Clear-Vinyl sowie als CD-Digisleeve veröffentlicht.

Forbidden ist das achtzehnte Studioalbum der englischen Rockband Black Sabbath, das ursprünglich am
5. Juni 1995 veröffentlicht wurde. Diese Aufnahme war die Wiedervereinigung der Besetzung von Black
Sabbath aus der Tyr-Ära von 1990 mit der Rückkehr von Neil Murray und Cozy Powell. Dieser Remix von
2024 enthält einen vollständigen Remix von Forbidden von Tony Iommi und ist auf Ultra Clear-Vinyl und
CD-Digisleeve erhältlich.

Fünf Monate arbeitete David Gilmour in Brighton und London an »Luck And Strange«, dem ersten neuen Longplayer, den er seit neun Jahren veröffentlicht. Die LP wurde von David und Charlie Andrew produziert, den man für seine Zusammenarbeit mit ALT-J und Marika Hackman kennt. Der Großteil der Lyrics stammt von Gilmours Co-Autorin Polly Samson, mit der er schon seit 30 Jahren zusammenarbeitet. Auf dem Album sind acht neue Tracks zu hören, dazu kommt eine Coverversion von Between Two Points (Originalinterpreten: The Montgolfier Brothers), auf der Romany Gilmour Harfe spielt und singt. Auf anderen Songs der LP war Gilmours Tochter für die Backing-Vocals zuständig. Zu den Musikern, die an der Entstehung von »Luck And Strange« beteiligt waren, gehören: Guy Pratt & Tom Herbert am Bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd und Steve DiStanislao am Schlagzeug sowie Rob Gentry & Roger Eno an den Keyboards. Für die Streicher- und Chor-Arrangements war Will Gardner verantwortlich. Auf dem Titeltrack, der 2007 während eines Jams in David Gilmours Scheune entstand, ist der verstorbene Pink Floyd Keyboarder Richard Wright zu hören. Das Cover-Foto von Anton Corbijn wurde durch den Text von »Scattered«, dem letzten Song des Albums, inspiriert.

'Once Bitten' ist das dritte Studioalbum der amerikanischen Rockband Great White aus dem Jahr 1987. Bekannt für seine Hit-Singles wie 'Rock Me', zeigt das Album den Blues-beeinflussten Hardrock-Sound der Band und verhalf ihr in den späten 80er Jahren zum Mainstream-Erfolg.

Drawing inspiration from film, literature, art, and music, “Zdenka 2080” was heavily influenced in particular by a series of apocalyptic sci-fi novels by Octavia Butler and Gene Wolf. “They inspired me to explore the realms of fantasy as a means of illuminating concepts and truths about our own society and humanity,” she says. “I also was very inspired by the movies Tekkonkinkreet and Embrace of the Serpent - a beautiful exploration of capitalism, colonialism and greed.” Olsen’s music is highly conceptual and “Zdenka 2080” describes a future dystopian Earth in the year 2080 that has been mis-managed by unethical governments and corporations.

„Moon Music“ ist das erste Album von Coldplay seit „Music Of The Spheres“ (2021), das unter anderem #1 in UK, #2 in Deutschland und #4 in den USA erreichte und als „Album of the Year“ bei den Grammy Awards nominiert war.

Was macht das neue Album zusätzlich zur Musik so besonders? Die physischen Veröffentlichungen des Albums setzen neue Nachhaltigkeitsstandard. U.a. mit neuartiger EcoRecord ePET LP hergestellt aus 100% recycelten Plastikflaschen.

Nachdem Coldplay auf ihrer aktuellen Tour bereits völlig neue Wege in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit gehen - im Vergleich zur letzten Stadiontour konnten die CO2e-Emissionen bisher um 59% reduziert werden - hat die Band alles daran gesetzt, auch die physische Veröffentlichung von „Moon Music“ so nachhaltig wie möglich zu gestalten.
So wird „Moon Music“ als weltweit erstes Album als 140g EcoRecord rPET LP veröffentlicht. Das bedeutet: Jedes Exemplar enthält neun recycelte PET-Kunststoffflaschen, die aus Haushaltsabfällen gewonnen wurden. Dadurch wird die Produktion von mehr als 25 Tonnen neuem Plastik vermieden und die CO2-Emissionen bei der Herstellung im Vergleich zu herkömmlichem 140g Vinyl um 85 Prozent pro Kilogramm reduziert. Auch die CD-Edition von „Moon Music“ setzt neue Maßstäbe. Sie erscheint als weltweit erste auf einer EcoCD, die zu 90 % aus recyceltem Polycarbonat besteht, das aus Haushaltsabfällen gewonnen wurde. Mindestens 78 % weniger CO2-Emissionen pro Kilogramm werden auf diese Weise produziert, außerdem entfällt die Produktion von mehr als fünf Tonnen Neuplastik.

Australian alternative folk duo Hollow Coves' debut album Moments is a collection of warm, introspective songs that reflect the pair's travels across the globe and their deeply felt experiences along the way.

Four years have passed since Young Knives’ last studio outing – 2020’s aggressive and philosophical look at humanity’s propensity for hyper-violence, Barbarians – and during this time the band have taken a step to consider the changing of the world around them, their place in it, and the sometimes-futile pursuit of controlling what it is that we leave behind when we’re gone. Music fans will pick-up on the tongue-in-cheek use of the word "landfill" as an album title from a band that emerged during the post-indie-rock-revival of the 00s. But rather than dwelling on the derogatory landfill stick that has sometimes comes to beat them, Young Knives instead use this coming phase of their career to contemplate the nature of existence and how best to catalogue it through song. ‘Life Is Yours’ feels like a natural evolution for Foals, its disco-tinged guitars, tight syncopated rhythms and punchy, insistent hooks echoing their roots as purveyors of rambunctious house party chaos. Thematically, it’s escapist, transportive and in rapture at life’s endless possibilities. ‘Life Is Yours’ immediately establishes its tone with the bright beam of optimism provided by its title track, its ambience and exuberance showing no sign of slowing down as it is followed by the two recent singles. There’s a unity to the sound, whether Foals are bouncing into the Balearic beats of ‘Looking High’, experimenting with West African guitar grooves on ‘Flutter’, or simply savouring the prospect of playing live together again within the dance dynamics of ‘The Sound’. It’s also a consistently transportive experience, at times conjuring images of the Pacific Northwest or St. Lucia, at others directly set in the peppy nostalgia of the recent past. It all comes full circle with ‘Wild Green’, which simultaneously celebrates the rebirth of summer with an existential tinge that all beautiful moments are inevitably fleeting.

Yannis Philippakis says, “I feel that with ‘Everything Not Saved…’ we touched upon all of the facets of our sound up until that point. This time we wanted to find a new way to express ourselves. We wanted to refocus and do something that shared a DNA throughout the songs: a physicality, a danceability, and with energy and joyousness. It’s definitely the poppiest record we’ve ever made.”

Foals – completed by Jimmy Smith and Jack Bevan – started the project within the dark, windowless confines of their south London rehearsal space in the midst of the winter lockdown. Feeling contained and tethered, they were drawn towards spirited sounds that looked to a brighter future, not only in terms of climate but also in terms of the unreplicable thrill of performing live. By the time the process reached its conclusion, the verdant summer surroundings of Real World Studios near Bath matched the album’s ardent atmosphere.

The band also experimented with collaborating with a tapestry of different producers (often working within different configurations) on various tracks. The album’s varied creative voices include John Hill (Portugal The Man, Florence + The Machine), Dan Carey (Tame Impala, Fontaines D.C.), Miles James and A.K. Paul (co-founder of the Paul Institute with his brother Jai Paul). Much of the album was subsequently mixed by ten-time Grammy Award winner Manny Marroquin (Post Malone, Kanye West, Rihanna), with several tracks mixed by another multiple Grammy Award winner in the shape of Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Coldplay, Muse, Kings of Leon).

All Time Low haben ein neues Album angekündigt. Die Multiplatin-Band wird am 17. März " Tell Me I'm Alive" veröffentlichen.

David Bowies siebtes Studioalbum " PIN UPS" ist in doppelter Hinsicht ein besonderes, denn nicht nur ist es eine Sammlung von Coversongs, sondern zugleich das letzte, das er als sein Alter Ego Ziggy Stardust und mit seiner Begleitband The Spiders from Mars veröffentlichte. Kommenden Monat jährt sich die Veröffentlichung zum 50. Mal - das Album erschien ursprünglich am 19. Oktober 1973, gerade einmal sechs Monate nach dem legendären " ALADDIN SANE" und drei Monate nach der berüchtigten letzten Ziggy-Stardust-Show im Hammersmith Odeon, bei der er zusammen mit The Spiders From Mars die Rolle des Ziggy zu Grabe trug.

Am 20. Oktober 2023, einen Tag nach dem Goldenen Jubiläum, wird "PIN UPS" in einer limitierten Auflage als LP im Half Speed Mastering veröffentlicht. The musician & songwriter Stein Roger Sordal is finally ready with his second solo album - "_All I Try to Forget" - the second part of a double album where all music and lyrics is written by Sordal himself (both part 1 & 2 available as a single 18 track CD). Through the years, the renowned Norwegian artist has played in a variety of bands. Internationally, he's mostly known as the bass player and songwriter in Green Carnation, while more and more people also know him as the singer, guitar player and songwriter in the band Sordal. Stein Roger Sordal has played on more than 30 album releases from the 90s and up to now, but last year's "As I Try to Remember_" was his first a solo album, where everything was played by himself. Both albums show Sordal diving into his own catalogue, making acoustic versions of songs he originally wrote for bands like Green Carnation, Sordal, Angels Motel, Plutho and Soxpan. His choices haven't necessarily been the most known songs, but rather those who mean the most to him. The album is sparsely arranged, and consists mostly of vocals, acoustic guitars and piano.

Nach mehreren Singles und EPs erschienen die avantgardistischen, auf Drones und Samples basierenden Klanglandschaften des 21-minütigen Titeltracks ,Scum" nur zwei Jahre vor ihrem bahnbrechenden Debüt ,Hex" (1994). Ihr Sound entstand aus ihren Improvisationen in einem provisorischen Studio in der St John's Church in Stratford. Die Fertigstellung von ,Hex" dauerte ein Jahr und brachte die Band an den Rand des Zusammenbruchs, so dass sie sich zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung bereits aufgelöst hatte. Indem sie ihre Songs zerlegten und im Studio neu zusammensetzten, entstanden charakteristische Ambient-Soundscapes und ein atmosphärischer, experimenteller Sound. Letztes Jahr hat das Fact Magazine das Album verdientermaßen auf den ersten Platz der ,30 Best Post-Rock Albums Of All Time" gesetzt. 'We recorded in RAK Studios, with the desk built for the Rolling Stones in ‘76, with the same cigarette burns still on the faders. It instantly had a vibe of raw energy and liveliness to it that matched the way we wanted to record - live.' – Calvin

The result? 'Life’s Too Fast' – a blistering 10-track debut from one of the UK’s most exciting bands that manages to deliver the same tight, groove-laden funk rock that has put the group on the radars of Jack Black, Cypress Hill and Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, has seen them tour with The Cat Empire, and tick off iconic venues including Glastonbury, Jazz Cafe, and Boomtown Festival.

'We decided to record the album live rather than through the normal single track overdubbed method – we felt this would help to fully convey the band’s power, sound and energy across to the listener! More like we’re playing a gig and having it recorded – it was a tough process, but we went about it in the best way for both us and the audience, to ensure they’re getting the most authentic High Fade sound and experience possible.' – Oli

Having spent much of the last three years on the road seeing to a punishing tour schedule, 'Life’s Too Fast' is a chance for the band to stop and take stock, to reflect on their whirlwind success, and create an artistic milestone that demonstrates who High Fade are today. 'It’s the most accurate representation of what High Fade is, what we sound like, and who we are' explains Harry. Telling a clear story that matches their own experiences over the last few years, the album is a snapshot taken by a band who are accelerating towards real success and recognition.

Launching into proceedings with the effortlessly uplifting 'Take Me To The Floor', every track is a demonstration of the band’s technical prowess and broad sonic palette. A forward-facing selection of completely original material, the album also gave the band the opportunity to re-imagine fan-favourite 'Sharpen Up' as a stripped-back cut that reflects the band’s current lineup.

'Honestly, I kinda feel like I could explode with excitement about getting it out for everyone in the world to hear because it has been a long time in the making! A culmination of what all the singles have been working towards!
