After 23 years, The Difference It Makes by The MFA returns. A cult lo-fi house anthem with a surprising roster of fans (including Orlando Bloom and the Olsen twins), it’s now reissued with a fresh set of remixes and a new lease of life. Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) delivers a deep, floor-ready rework, equally at home in the club or during a solo kitchen dance. Nathan Fake – a long-time friend of The MFA – offers a remix that’s pure rave inception: euphoric, strnge, and unforgettable. The MFA’s own new version brings the energy up to date with a stadium house tribute to the original. This is the debut release from Deskbound Complex, a new label from The MFA focused on timeless, alternative electronic music. Less algorithm, more experience.

Dubstep, not Dubstep? Originally released in 2002, The Red EP was a bold fusion of Techno and Garage from the mind of Artwork. Drawing from his "Grain" techno project and the UKG sound he championed for years, this release laid the groundwork for what the world would soon call Dubstep — or did it? Broken beat/Bruk dons Bugz In The Attic were hammering Red in their sets, including this title on their “Fabriclive” mix CD in 2003 which shone further light on the EP, helping it soar in demand once again. “The Red EP” has never been repressed until now, with second hand copies exchanging hands for highs of £100 and lows of £40. Big Apple Records boss John Kennedy is blessing us with this repress which is a must have, even if you have the original, because now after Artwork found an unreleased gem on a DAT, we have added the find “RELIC”. Re-release of the ‘88 rave house classic 'The Real Life' sampling Queen, Simple Minds, Prince and Scarface here perfectly formed Oppy Mix. Used copies still sell up to £50 with very few cropping up on the market so this official remastered reissue will be a welcome sight to many.

Flipped with the collectable housey / garage crossover gem 'So Where Are You' harnessing the raw vocal power of Kevin Williams over a tough house rhythm. Both the Hashish Dub and Vocal Mix are included on this release.

Kaiserdisco share their first Drumcode EP in eight years. With a knack for clever vocal hooks and crisp production, Kaiserdisco are never far from Adam Beyer’s thinking when it comes scheduling Drumcode releases. With this in mind, it feels almost unbelievable to think ‘Error in the System’ will be the duo’s first EP on Drumcode since 2016.
In recent times the pair has contributed tracks to the label, highlighted last year’s ‘Get on the Dancefloor’ on A – Sides Vol.12 and their popular single ‘Together One Time’ from 2022. ‘Error in the System’ marks their return to the EP format and is an absolute treat. Lead track ‘In the Music’ is a trippy roller that lures you into a dancefloor trance via an addictive vocal hook, before morphing into an acid - drenched stomper in the second half. The title track is a peak - time head spinner, characterised by muted tones and industrial effects, it’s an eerie and powerful slice of club machinery crafted for maximum impact.

Originally released on the cult V4 Visions label in 1991 & 1994, Ashaye’s 'Dreaming' and 'What’s This World Coming To' showcased the sound of Steet Soul, a genre that emerged in the 1990s, blending elements of soul, R&B, and hip-hop, that could be heard playing across London’s pirate radio stations. As the popularity of UK soul has grown in the last 5 years, DJ’s and tastemakers have put 'Dreaming' and 'What’s This World Coming To' into heavy rotation which has only increased demand & price for the original vinyl considerably. At present this demand is so high that it’s not even possible to purchase 'Dreaming' on the second hand market, while copies for 'What’s This World Coming To' are changing hands for £50+. On this fully licenced, RSD release, two of Ashaye’s biggest tracks are together on one 12 inch for the first time! Danish popstars Gitte and Inger bring forth 'Ud Af Buret', their 1978 high energy cover of Creative Source's hit, 'Can't Hide Love.' Fred again.. has announced the release of ‘USB001’ - the first volume of his ‘infinite’ album project, now available as a limited vinyl drop.

‘USB001’ is an infinite, ever-evolving album that includes recent releases ‘Baby Again’, ‘Rumble’ w/ Skrillex & Flowdan, ‘Jungle’, ‘leavemealone’ w/ Baby Keem and ‘stayinit’ w/ Lil Yachty, plus remixes featuring HAAi, Rico Nasty and Nia Archives.

‘USB001’ also features two new records; ‘BerwynGesaffNeighbours’, which samples BERWYN & Gesaffelstein, and ‘ItsNotREEAALLLLLLLL’. The latter samples DuoTeque, Orion Sun and uses a drum beat first sent to Fred by Four Tet, lifted from an hour-long Richie Hawtin mix 'DE9 - Closer To The Limit' recorded in 2001. Richie trawled back through the mix stems of over 100 records spliced together to track down where the drums originated from, tracing them back to a producer called Steve Sullivan.

Number six-up for our Prozpektiva series and for this record we are proud to present a future star, an electronic music producer from Montevideo, Uruguay, Pi. With single track contributions so far on labels such as Holístico Records, White Scar and Lutzifer this is Pi's first full original release - with her trademark oscillations through techno, breakbeat, and electro with melodic tones the future definitely looks bright.

Farfalla Records presents a reissue of Jungle Obsession by Nino Nardini & Roger Roger. On this LP, they present their own musical vision of The Jungle Book.

This official reissue of this classic library album comes as a 50th-anniversary edition on 180 grams vinyl with two bonus tracks. Jungle Obsession is one of the true masterpieces of Pop Exotica. Includes "Safari Park" and "Tropical" that have been sampled by Madlib and Danger Mouse.

2023 Repress

Hypnus starts the year by sharing Feral's third, and soon also fourth, solo record as Climbing Himalaya comes delivered in two parts. The first part is a grand display of his essence; a cavernous setting flooded by deep tribal beats and psychedelic ambiance that surely will get most bodies moving. From start to finish we dance upwards along the cliffs, ascending effortlessly like the wind toward the peak.

DJ Koze might be one of the world's best producers, but above all he's a DJ, and it's his DJ ear that governs. J
ust as in a great set, so with his releases: 'Seeing Aliens' came out of nowhere, a big buzzing beast of a track, to announce that Koze was back on the scene and prime everyone for the coming album, knock knock.
But now that Koze has your attention, it's time to remind everyone what's most important about club music, pull things back, take a turn to the left, and get deep into the groove.

Thus 'Pick Up': the second single from knock knock is 100% pure groove, doubly so in the extended 12' version.

In a sense it's incredibly familiar - it is essentially a filter disco record, very close to something you could imagine coming out of Paris around the turn of the millennium. But of course, this is Koze. Nothing is normal or familiar in his world, and he's taken this most foundational of clubland staples into new territory. Flipping amples of Gladys Knight & the Pips 'Neither One Of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)' and Melba Moore's 'Pick Me Up, I'll Dance', it creates something completely airborne, shot through with emotions such as gods must feel: not quite explicable to the human mind but strong enough to knock you off your feet. In its way it's absolutely as powerful as 'Seeing Aliens', but it comes in like the proverbial iron fist in a glove of velvet.
The flip, a ten-minute new track, 'The Love Truck' is a big contrast again. If 'Pick Up' is giddy flight,
'The Love Truck' is woozy floating. Its sharp, clicking percussion recalls 2000s minimal techno, but this time absolutely nothing is generic. The long, intense, on-and-off bass tones, the flickers of birdsong, the pure voices slipping in backwards as if from the future... it's all like the most blissful dream, and culminates in a coda so subtle yet so beautiful it's like ever time you've ever seen the sun rise and thought 'I never want this to end', all the while understanding deep down that the fleeting nature of the pleasure is also what give it its power. But of course, being created with that consummate DJ's ear, it's also full of the thrill of wondering what Koze has in store next.

After more than 30 years Early Sounds and Halfway Ritmo are finally releasing unpublished recordings (1982-1989) from former Tangerine Dream and Iggy Pop's drummer Klaus Krüger.
Advanced Dance combines a sweeping mix of Krüger's handcrafted acoustic drums and distinctive electronic sounds of the late Berlin-School years, creating a unique blend of advanced polyrhythms.
Krüger achieved a balance between creativity and classic drum patterns giving birth to an unconventional and avant-garde type of music that could be easily defined as a precursor of techno.
His progressive mentality led him to delve further into the tape collage technique and unique ways of triggering his drums. It was a whole new world of music - sustained by his artistic surroundings, which included collaborations as well as friendships with other influential artists such as David Bowie, Martin Kippenberger and Helmut Newton.
In the time of German division, the pulsating West Berlin became a melting pot of creativity and international encounters. Advanced Dance is the result of the blazing heat feeding the unstoppable thirst of discovery which characterized that generation, creating tunes that transform the listener's experience into one blissful moment amidst beautiful confusion.

We are very happy to present our first vinyl release named The Sinergy between light and darkness.

We believe that when 2 forces as powerful as light and darkness merge, they create an omnipotent unit, giving birth to amazing creations, works of art like this release.

For this release, 4 tracks have been carefully selected that create a balance and synergy between light and darkness.



On side A we have Alquimic, curator of this project, with his track Reloaded, and Artesano Titer, a great Uruguayan artist who made us vibrate in the first edition of Cosmic Dance with his live set around the mountains of the Sacred Valley, and where he played for the first time this gem called Shake it.

Vibrant synthetic sequences, enveloping rhythms and bass lines and cozy melodies are manifested on this side.



On the other hand, on the B side we have Samuel Jabba, a great Colombian artist with countless incredible releases and a unique style with his track Schizoid, and Nicolás Longo, a great emerging Uruguayan artist who we had the pleasure of meeting and experiencing his music in the city of Cusco, with his track Secuencias en Capital.

On this side, dark and enveloping melodies, retro-futuristic atmospheres, vibrant rhythms and a lot of mystery are evident.

The strange, carbonated eventide of Evigt Mörker's cosmos takes new dizzy routes in his latest EP, 'Ett Vilt Ljus'.

With the spectre of their more recent and stoic ambient works casting a shadow through the operational tics of this latest collection of tracks, the choppy psychedelia teases frenzied abandon with each bristling manoeuvre yet pitches us into the night again whenever light threatens to break.

'Hemliga eldar', 'Huggormen som vilar', and 'Det blåser en vind genom världen, och det har det alltid gjort' model three rudiments in polyrhythm, each curiously stabilised with choral-like backdrops, while the most flustered pieces can be found cut between.

The deep house of Elements Of Life returns, the forever sound. Alex From Utopia is a rising name. Label brother N-Gynn appears, the on-going uplift of his Superlux label and DJing the globe, from Ibiza to Thailand, always the man who’s hard to pin. Dark Entries has raided the bathhouse to bring us Deep Entries: Gay Electronic Excursions 1979-1985, 10 tracks of obscure queer synth bliss. One of Dark Entries' most important missions has been illuminating neglected facets of gay musical history, with crucial archival works by legends like Patrick Cowley, Sylvester, and Man Parrish. On Deep Entries, the label spans 6 years of gay electronics - from sultry to angsty to camp, these songs are overflowing with snappy 808 snares and sinewy analog synth leads. The '80s were a difficult period for many in the gay community as they grappled with the horrors of the HIV/AIDS crisis. The 10 tracks on Deep Entries, varied in genre and vibe, are united in their portraiture of 1980s gay life, and the hope for love or fleeting romance. Previously unreleased cruising soundtracks come courtesy of Patrick Cowley’s “Love Me Hot” featuring vocalist Paul Parker and Boytronic’s “Tonight (Alternate Mix)” set on Hamburg’s famous “Mile of Sin.” Brisbane-based Megamen deliver the proto-electroclash number “Designed for Living,” which prefigures Madonna’s Marlene Dietrich rap in “Vogue.” Trans vocalist Paula "Ula" Villagrá declares, “Everyone is gay!” on Muzak’s “Happy Song,” a skittering tecnopop anthem. Dereck Higgins' “This Was Something” rings like a lost Joy Division cut draped in bizarre effects, and Polar Praxis’ “(I Want) To Be Different” is a seething ode to alterity. Nightmoves’ “Nightdrive,” is best known as the brooding instrumental B-side to their epochal “Transdance.” Transistor Jet’s “Master Of The Universe (BW's f-w)”, Maxx Mann’s “Just Like a Razor” and Bachelor’s Anonymous’ “A Stranger’s Bed” are mood music for the pleasures of BDSM and one-night stands. The record comes housed in a retro bathhouse fantasy sleeve designed by Gwenaël Rattke and includes a double-sided poster with photographs and lyrics. Deep Entries arrives on December 1st in honor of World AIDS day, and proceeds will go to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

As Freerange hits another landmark release with their 300th EP we see label head Jimpster join forces with Philippa who together deliver 3 original tracks which epitomise the labels’ sound over the past (almost) three decades.

With recent releases appearing on Slothboogie and Razor n Tape, remixes for Roach Motel on Faith, and James Curd and Robert Owens on Pronto, not to mention her recent Panorama Bar debut, it’s safe to say Philippa is making waves. The Berlin-based New Zealander has a sound all her own with an organic, deep and musical style winning her many fans from Terry Farley and Aroop Roy to DJ Spen and Dave Lee.

Lead track All I Wanted sees the duo pooling their influences with both producers sonic touches shining through. Chunky drums and bassline are the bedrock for pulsing synths and MON’s vocal which is chopped up and looped bringing a rolling momentum to the track.

Dreaming features the wonderful vocals of Care and goes on a floaty vibe with chiming synths and crusty Rhodes keys layering up to produce a densely textured track. The mood is powerful yet subtle and refined and will work as nicely on a chilled house playlist as it will on a discerning dance floor at 4am.

Closing out the EP we have Say What which goes on a jazzed out, UKG inspired excursion. Shuffling beats, bouncing square wave bassline and big brash synth chords all combine to form a track which sounds both retro and contemporary.

Recorded in Los Angeles with exceptional production and extreme attention to details, Hotel Souza is one of the most anticipated albums of the season.

The France-based label Handwerk Sounds makes its debut with a Various Artists compilation, featuring four tracks crafted right in the neighborhood.
