Errare Humanum Est comes from the Latin proverb "To err is human" as a musician and a human-being, you are constantly facing "mistakes" on your compositional work and your instrumental interpretation, Felipe Gordon presents his second conceptual album under this premise, you should accept and make mistakes as a crucial part of art and life. During late 2022 and beginning of 2023, the musician and producer worked on a new long play in his home studio "El Dorado" in Bogot?, Colombia. Trying to create a whole new concept and universe he re-visited some forgotten musical sketches, going from breakbeats, synthesis, boom bap, deep acid and house music Felipe presents us his new album, a melting pot of musical ideas, again not trying to achieve a club track filled long play but a whole listening experience, not focusing only on dancing matters but also on every day musical enjoyment. With the forward-thinking distribution and collaboration from the Rotterdam based power house, Clone Records and looking for a way to create a more independent environment for his releases, Felipe is creating his own "Wide Awake", a new record label focused only on sharing and creating a platform for his constant output. As in "A Landscape Onomatopeya" (Felipe's first LP) Primer Ocaso took over the editorial design on their talented hands, creating an amazing Gatefold 2X12'' - 140 Gr Solid White Album edition

Savor Music's new EP is the debut vinyl release by Francisco Tettamanti, a rising star in the argentinian electronic music scene. The EP features four original tracks, each with its own distinct flavor and vibe. A balanced wax with 2 dancefloor movers like "Extraplanetary Season" and "Mensaje del Camino" balanced with the dreamy and ethereal breaks on "Free Your Soul" and "Cosmovision". The EP takes listeners on a journey through Tettamanti's unique sonic landscape.

Octave One stride into 2024 with a fresh four-track EP that once again showcases their unique take on techno with three new versions of classic tracks alongside an all-new cut.

Detroit's legendary Burden Brothers had a big 2023 that saw them release their superb Never On Sunday album, which was a nod to their 90s downtempo project of the same name. The bumper collection traversed deep techno, house, and tech in their usual inimitable style while the pair themselves continued to push techno forward with their incomparable live show at the world's most notable clubs and festivals. They now show that their creative reserves continue to run deep with four more essential tracks.

The first one is a new Mothership Remix of 'Price We Pay' with long-time vocal collaborator Karina Mia. The original appeared on Never on Sunday and this version comes on strong with vast rubbery kicks powering a deep and seductive groove. Muted synths roam down low while twinkling melodies fall from above next to the controlled, soulful vocal. The superb 'Mirror Image' is a new track that rides a heavy broken beat. Downtempo chords are melancholic but stirring and have a dramatic sense of finality to them.

'A Better Tomorrow' also gets a new Mothership Mix following its original release on the Burn It Down album back in 2015. Here it is a surging cut with funky guitar riffs and bleeping synth sequences that bring to life the thundering low end. It's a hi-tech and soulful fusion of the organic and the synthetic that will blow the roof off.

Last of all is a Mothership Instruments version of 'Price We Pay' that powers along on thudding drums with edgy synth stabs riding up and down the scales. Deft keys shine and twinkle and signature Octave One arps break out at the midpoint to take things to a higher level.

These are four more classic techno sounds steeped in great synth craft from The Burden Brothers.

The #33 disc is a selection of two acts who are very
meticulously looking for their sound. Through the
cooperation of both artists, new things have actually been
created, which transports the interior of the two to the
outside! Between glaring synthesizer sounds, unique textures
always crowd paired with a solid baseline. Bite, which is the
rst piece of cooperation, already lasted more than 100
hours in the arrangement and sound design. The two often
call it aesthetic sound image, which is why no other
mastering professional came into question than Dial Audio/
Alex. In the overall picture, it is more of a kind of "small
album" because it was created from different intentions and
over a longer period of time

The city of Miami has been resonating with some of the finest summer breezes lately with Imbue. Yet again, the eclectic trio sails to ethereal oceans by providing the 12th EP of the label with style and finesse. The winning formula gets repeated, melting together dreamy electric guitar slaps, tight breakbeat grooves on the first three originals until "Overlook" emerges. bringing to the fore the 4/4 pace with a mesmerising minimal techno dancefloor jam.

Three distinctly outer space-themed cuts from Greece's Alex Celler, each with a linear minimal/tech skeleton that has other, interloping musical influences draped elegantly and classily across it. 'Ancient Astronuats' has the weird, wired mystical stirrings of early Black Dog about it, complete with melting, bendy electro notations that coax it along and add a psychedelic dimension. 'Stargate To Cosmos' has a playful, Drexciyan feel to it, with crunchy, organic drum beats flirting alongside the more rigid electrics. 'Object In The Sky' is the most minimal of the pack, sleek and stalker-like, but still contains enough action - mainly floating around up there in the ether - to hold and build attention.

The second lot in NC4K's record series NC4KWAX is the EP 'sundeck' by Tokyo-based producer ankokushinwa.

It contains three original tracks inspired by rave, jungle and south hip hop.
All are high quality tracks that show the breadth of his musical interests and depth of love.

Also included is a remix by one of the label owners, Lomax, in an electro breakbeat style. The bassline, a reinterpretation of the original's main phrase, is sure to get the floor going.

Simon Huxtable’s alias Inhmost, returns to Tonight's Dream Records with a new album, Breaks & Dreams, a continuation of his 2022 release, Space & Awareness. Hotflush continues its celebratory 20th anniversary year with a vinyl-only sequel to Scuba’s Record Store Day UK release, “Hardcore Heaven”.

‘Hardcore Heaven II’ develops the theme of that first release back in April. Taking influence from producers like Top Buzz, Nookie, and Foul Play, the familiar collision of hard-edged beats, euphoric breakdowns, and helium vocals gets a Scuba-in-2023 update.

The tracks on this EP add a twist of twisted breaks, early 2-step, and classic broken beat to the mix, as well as some moody vocal rubs and the customary dancefloor flavours.

The six tracks included here are presented on red and black splatter vinyl, limited to 500 copies with definitely no represses.

The Jaffa Kid's prolific music-making is well known at this point, with a wide-ranging palette that takes in the full range of electronic genres, from jungle to techno to ambient.

But here on his second EP for Gated - appropriately titled Second Frequencies - the boy named after a biscuit (or is it a cake?) goes deep. Really deep. Kicking off with the beatless but driving Phased For Days, the EP has a kind of relentless hypnotism to it, with Trinian's almost 7 minutes of spaced out electro.

Flip to the B and the acid comes to the fore, with War On Words and its addictive 303 line pulsing over the Kid's signature pads.
Tangential throws in some breaks under gritty acid, and Not The Way rounds out the EP with a truly poignant melodic beatdown.

‘Crossing the Red Line’ is the eleventh release on First Cut and the second part of the label’s public transport-related trilogy.

As anyone who has used Dublin’s light rail knows, crossing the red line is an unforgettable experience.

Soundtracking the ups and downs of daily life on the tracks is Tr-One. ‘VCO Friday’ is a fist-pumping affair, as a flurry of razor-sharp percussion collides with rousing melodic builds and drops.

On ‘Uncle Bulgaria’, Giles Armstrong drops a pulsating, throbbing groove and swirling hooks, with this combination hitting harder than city centre gridlock.

Rounding off the release is the inimitable Reflection Port Assembly – the distinctive, shuffling drums and dusty synths of ‘Tranquilo’ the perfect, calming antidote to rush hour.

Portlander Paul Dickow describes his latest Strategy slate as both a love letter to the myriad strains of breakbeat house and “a specific attempt to grapple with iconic samples in a kind of archaeological dissection, a process of understanding by doing.” Unexplained Sky Burners spans a full hour of dubby, swinging, bass-driven bangers, gene-spliced from hyper-familiar stabs and breaks sourced across the legacy of dance music, then wrung through Dickow’s ever-evolving chain of hand-built gear. The effect is both familiar and foreign, like big room tunes distilled to their core DNA then set loose to churn eternally, equal parts heady rave purism and scientific rhythm experiment.

This is Dickow’s third outing for L.A. electronic veterans Peak Oil (following 2012’s self-titled LP and 2014’s Pressure Wassure) and serves as a suitably liquid extension of their collaboration. The title refers to an underreported aerial incident above the Willamette Valley, when a mysterious fireball soared through the atmosphere and disappeared into the light of the rising sun. The effect of this X-Files sighting on the music’s elusive energy remains to be determined.

Highly anticipated by his legions of fans, Andrew Rayel's album Lifeline limelights the incredible versatility - and the innate musicality - of the Moldovan DJ, producer, radio show host and label boss. Flaunting his melodic prowess across eighteen tracks, this body of work underlines Andrew Rayel's intentions to remain amongst dance music's key figures as he gives all his loyal supporters yet another reason to smile.

Kitchens inc. is a new label set up by Leeds based DJ and Producer duo, Marcus and Chris Kitchen. The first release comprises of three original tracks of their own material and will appeal to those that seek out genre crossing music. On a minimalist house tip, expect eery off tones and unearthly vocals that are seamlessly woven into understated grooves. Each track has its own personality, switching between 4/4 and breaks with a discordant jazz theme that runs throughout the EP.

This autumn Ludwig A.F. aveils his first full-length album project.

It is a very personal collection of ten pieces inspired by a special location near his home in the Taunus region of Germany. He recorded the songs as soon as he returned to his studio, inspired by the atmosphere of the place. He has been collating the pieces over the course of almost a decade.

“Air“ is an atmospheric and ambiguous collection of music that at times is rhythm and sound design driven but mainly focuses on the home listener with its picturesque melodies and ambiances.

Toronto’s Ciel then flips the script on the title track, turning it into a glitched out, club ready weapon – the perfect combination to complete the EP.

Constructed with data rips from Super-Nintendo ROMs, a Sequential Circuits Drum Tracks and a heavy dose of Kawai K1, each of these gems unfold into epic compositional mastery reminiscent of 1980s Japanese kids TV, with sparkly sprinkles of synth wizardry thrown on top.
‘Funk Plates Vol. 1’ sees Tapes depart as a riddim driven Digi-Dub contributor with a sharp handbrake U-turn on the Neo high way to funky-town. A perfect soundtrack for a spaced out Sunday morning and just as potent on the club hifi! (Quack!)

Adam Cook aka Tommy Rawson returns to Bergerac with another killer EP of uplifting, tropical deep house, broken beat and Brit funk vibes. Following on from 2018s Gilles Peterson hammered 'Deep Blue' EP, he returns to Red Rack'ems Bergerac label with an absolutely killer 3 tracker which showcases the Watford, England based producers world class musical chops. Surely a contender for THE summer record with a sun kissed Brit funk A side which is tailor made for the WWFM and We Out Here crew. A tropical house and broken beat burner make up an equally strong flip. We are very happy (and relieved) to be presenting to you an absolutely belting EP of UK soulful dance music.

It's nothing short of a miracle that the A side track 'Illusions' has ever made it on to vinyl. Jonna from City Fly remembers 'Adam had this on a CDR at Southport in 2008 and it became our official track of the festival as we all partied together the whole weekend it got played again and again back at our Chalet parties'. But then as these things often sadly go, the funk diamond was lost for a few years in the digital ether. Fast forward to 2014 and Danny Berman aka Red Rack'em is playing a 320 of 'Illusions' everywhere but alas it's just a demo and Adam can't locate the arrangement to complete the track as it's on a broken computer in his Mums attic.

Then finally this year, after many pleading emails and plenty of gentle cajoling, there's some amazing news! Adam has located the broken computer and after a day of digital open heart surgery, and then a re-edit over Zoom (no really) we finally had the killer, classic UK soulful anthem you're listening to today. A voice over from a disco documentary cleverly introduces each instrument on the intro before Tommy pushes the button marked 'biggest bassline of the year' and takes us into boogie heaven.

'Sound Crazy' on the flip is another one of those classic Afrobeat tinged Tommy rollers. Big room vibes but with a lot of soul. Rolling broken drums and a huge bassline combine with plenty of spicy, tropical atmosphere on top. The trademark Rawson uplifting chords begin after an anticipatory vibe filled breakdown, taking you to the stratosphere.

'Ads Mood' is the most 'classical' broken beat track on the record, but they are all playable in multiple environments and transcend mere genres. Heavy bass and extra funky syncopated beats climax into a beautiful almost orchestral feel to close off an exemplary EP of higher quality moods and emotions. Don't sleep.

Repress

Following several reported sightings, a time travelling biplane from Galaxia has arrived on planet earth. The pilot on board was transporting a USB stick containing cryptic code from an artist by the name “Bladymore Galaxy”.

Having received the data in Italy, Free Voyage owner SMS(IT) got straight to work decoding the data. Inside he found a selection of timeless melodic music, with clear influence taken from travels to the past and future.

Now converted to vinyl format, the music is ready for release on Earth.

Up next on Pleasure Club we have some re-imaginings of Johnny Hunter’s lockdown summer jam U.K.AIM. For this we enlisted the skills of nu UK garage don ZeroFG, who turned in not one but two of his trademark low end workouts. We are also honoured to welcome one of the founding fathers of UK tech house, Mr Len Lewis, to the label who delivers a heads down late night take on the original.
