Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher's
third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays
is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill,
feeling and style that the artist has honed over a
period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus-
years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden
Ravedays is an epic album of 24 longer than usual
tracks that was released in January 2017 and is
stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during
a one-year period.

In its second venture into reissuing hidden gems of electronic music produced in Eastern Europe in the 20th Century, LITTLE BEAT DIFFERENT ISSUES focuses on the work of a Czech composer, musician and producer, Alexander Goldscheider. Born in Prague in 1950, Goldscheider started as a music orrespondent in New York in 1968/69, went onto reading Music at Charles University whilst continuing as a music critic and radio/club DJ, before becoming a record producer at the top Czech label, Supraphon. As a composer, he pioneered the use of synthesizers in his songs for major Czech pop/rock singers as well as in his own instrumental tracks. After moving to London in 1981, he first recorded two albums at the renowned Red Bus Studios, then proceeded to work at the legendary BBC Radiophonic Workshop, before co-founding and establishing Romantic Robot, a software and hardware design and manufacturing company which later moved into music recording and publishing. Of the many original products, THE MUSIC TYPEWRITER was ground-breaking software enabling the writing and printing of real notation on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Similarly TEREZÍN: THE MUSIC 1941-44 was the first ever release of CDs with music written in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp during World War II. Goldscheider's 1980s LPs THEMES FOR A ONE-MAN BAND Vol I & II reflect his work as a solo artist, always writing, recording and producing single-handedly. He had, though, a team of technical aficionados and inventors back in Prague, who adapted and developed his electronic music equipment incl. synthesizers, sequencers and even a Studer multitrack recorder, thus creating a revolutionary set-up, on par with the much later MIDI.This LP samples Alexander Goldscheider's music produced for records, films, TV and even an art exhibition in the space of 25 years starting from 1975.

So steht auf Singularity die Erkundung der Verbindungen zwischen Geist, Klang und Umwelt im Vordergrund und vertont so die verschiedenen geistigen Zustände, in denen Hopkins sich während des Schreib- und Aufnahmeprozesses befand. Und so viel sei schon verraten. Durch die ernüchternden Erfahrungen, die Hopkins mit dem Blick auf die heutige Welt machte, blieb ihm die letztgültige Schlussfolgerung, dass ein wahres Gefühl von Frieden und Zugehörigkeit nur aus der Einzigartigkeit der Natur gewonnen werden kann.

Precision dubsteppin' drum & bass collides with tweaked IDM-techno and zero-gravity ambient.

Der aus Oxford (UK) stammende Emseatee ist ein wenig besonders. Wie ein Forscher, in einem versteckten Labor, beginnt er mit der aufziehenden Nacht, Atmosphären, Stile und Rhythmen zu kombinieren. Er ist immer auf der Suche nach einer neuen Formel und bindet auch natürliche Sounds in seinen organischen Mix. Emseatees Experimente brauchen Zeit und gehen zurück auf den 21.06.2014. An diesem Tag bekam er Besuch von Minerva und zusammen legten sie den Grundstein für dieses Release. Die Veröffentlichung via Modularfield erfolgt am 27. April als 12'' weißes Vinyl und Digital.

Das vierte Album des britischen Wahlkölner Produzenten Matt Karmil, "Will", erscheint auf dem norwegischen Kultlabel Smalltown Supersound und erfährt bereits große Anerkennung in den Medien. So vergibt das britische Mixmag 8/10 Punkte und bezeichnet das Album als "schöne, soft-fokussierte Ansammlung an hauchdünnem Kopfhörer-House, meditativem Minimalismus und Strömen von Ambient Techno." Matt Karmil arbeitete bereits mit John Talabot, Axel Boman, Matias Aguayo und Kornel Kovacs zusammen und veröffentlichte bislang auf Kompakt, Idle Hands, Studio Barnhus und Yumé.

Elmer Kussiac ist ein Berliner Trio mit Cello, Kontrabass und E-Gitarre, die alle durch ein System analoger Elektronik bearbeitet werden. Der Sound repräsentiert eine Vielzahl von musikalischen Einflüssen, die den individuellen Hintergrund jedes Mitglieds widerspiegeln, von minimalistischer Drone Musik bis hin zu zeitgenössischer klassischer Musik, traditioneller türkischer Musik und Noise Rock. Die improvisatorische Herangehensweise an die Musik legt großen Wert auf die einzigartige Atmosphäre und den Kontext jeder einzelnen Aufführung und behält dabei einen klar erkennbaren und ästhetisch zusammenhängenden Klang bei.

Die heutige Tangerine Dream-Besetzung aus Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss und Hoshiko Yamane legt traditionell bei jedem Konzert eine 20- bis 30-minütige Improvisationssession ein, die besten von ihnen werden jetzt nach und nach auf Vinyl veröffentlicht. "The Sessions 1" enthält zwei Aufnahmen aus Konzerten in Budapest und Hongkong Anfang 2017. Zusammen ca. 60 Minuten.

Being a relentless sound explorer, Laurent Perrier had no other choice to cross paths one day with the world of modular synthesis and to prefer, over the scalpel precision of the laptop that presides over many of his earlier productions under several identities (as Heal, but also as Zonk't, Pylône, Cape Fear and under his own name), the unpredictability of modular systems. That being said, Espace d'Incertitude, the new Heal album isn't improvised at all but was on the contrary mostly composed as soundtracks for choreographic creations. Dedicated to two historic' visions of the modular synthesis, Espace d'Incertitude offers two different sonic universes across its two sides.

The Buchla side, written with this mythical synthesizer takes advantage of its bareness to offer five repetitive and shifting tracks that seems literally born in real time, evolve according to the rules of a language as mysterious as it is accessible.

Conversely, the Mutable side is built from the modules of this French brand, leader of a renewed approach of modular synthesis, and adept of inventive sounds. The result is more ambient tracks, perhaps more typical of the past work of Laurent Perrier, which gradually merge into fragile constructions and play a game of faked mirrors with our perceptions.

Heal certainly did not wait to switch to modular synthesizers to challenge our expectations and plunge us into a delightful uncertainty. Almost all albums recorded by Laurent Perrier under this identity or another are welcome surprises that systematically refuse repetition and conformism. With Espace d'Incertitude, he offers us new organic and sensory worlds to explore and tame ... while waiting for future surprises.

Lvis Mejía's newest project, titled Anthropology of AmnesiA is an acousmatic essay addressing our utter necessity to remember in the face of existential oblivion, an innate behaviour of the human race.
Presented as a 33 minute long continuous composition, Anthropology of AmnesiA unrolls as a series of chapters, the contemplative character of the piece opening a particular frame within the listening experience, where Lvis Mejía attempts to convey the phenomenon of the collective consciousness through the cultural traces we leave behind.
Mejía's takes the idea of one species, one culture, one past' and places it at the center of the concept of the piece. Anthropology of AmnesiA examines a number of interpretations of rituals, orchestrations, chants, synthesis and field recordings - nestled within the piece are recordings of animals, fire, water and a human heart - the sum of these sonic identities incidentally reshaping their roots.
The diversity of the sonic sources highlights the comparative study element of Mejía's work yet the common thread remains the human experience, recorded stories and the viva voce.

Blindsmyth ist ein musikalischer Weltenbummler. In verschiedenen Bands erkundete er Klangspektren von Metal und Postrock bis zu Electronica. Während seines Musik-Studiums tauchte er dann noch tiefer in die unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Genres und Produktionstechniken ein, kombinierte verschiedenste Instrumente mit elektronischen Produktions- und Performance-Techniken und fand so, auch durch viele live-shows, zu seinem eigenen Sound.
Das Debütalbum von Blindsmyth ist eine Entdeckungsreise zwischen tiefen elektronischen Klanglandschaften und experimenteller Popmusik. Alle Tracks wurden mit analogen Instrumenten, organischen Drum Sounds und eigenen field recordings produziert. Es ist impulsiv, groovig, experimentell und verträumt. Die Stimmung changiert zwischen House, Folk und langsamen Techno - kombiniert mit Atmosphären aus Ambient, Dub und Post Rock.
Der Album Opener - Wacklige Brücken bringt den Tanz zwischen Freiheit und Sicherheit zum Ausdruck. Dynamische Beats, eine energetische Bassline und eine schwebende Bassklarinetten-Melodie runden den hypnotischen Refrain aus einem Chor gepitchter Stimmen ab. "Wir tanzen auf wackligen Brücken und umarmen den Asphalt . - Secret Walls  bewegt sich zwischen tiefen, groovigen Klängen und experimenteller Popmusik, gekennzeichnet durch seinen charakteristischen Gesang. Der Track basiert auf Samples, die Blindsmyth in einem Bunker aus dem zweiten Weltkrieg aufgenommen und zu elektronischen Sounds verarbeitet hat. Entscheidungen treffen, versagen, sich verlieren um sich sich dann wieder zu finden. In - Stuck singt Blindsmyth über die Höhen und Tiefen des Lebens auf einem Bett von weichen Gitarrenakkorden, die von abstrakten hölzernen Perkussions getragen werden. Melancholisch und zugleich hoffnungsvoll.

This record contains 5 years worth of electronic experimentations, the bulk of which were recorded while living in the EU, and mixed down at a studio in Amsterdam. The music was sequenced on a MPC and an inexpensive digital keyboard with reverb and delay.

Since the age of 12 i've been cultivating a deep love of music. Music allows me to communicate in ways that seem otherwise impossible and has connected me with many special people who share that same sentiment.

My intent was to make an album that could be pleasant regardless of the time of day. Something diverse, that could be enjoyed regardless of format. I hope deep listeners are rewarded just as equally as casual ones.

It was a joy layering these frequencies for you.

On Selected Ambient, Martina Lussi brings together a collection of sound material from her practice to date. The material oscillates between electroacoustic composition, sound art, and live performance. The pieces are named after precious gemstones, all of which are traditionally ascribed with special powers. In using these names, the artist seems to refer to the esoteric roots of the genre invoked by the LP's title. The compositions, however, resist the genre's characteristically naïve re-enchantment of the world and distrust holistic esotericism's promise of healing and restoration. Instead, they are defined much more by an interest in affective uncertainties. In these four compositions as in other works, Lussi creates a sound world in which circling correlations raise more questions than they answer-in contrast to esotericism, which insists on imbuing its material with meaning. Lussi therefore facilitates a listening experience that refers to ambient at its best and most radical: her music represents neither a dissolution of the self in complete uncertainty nor a contemplative internal landscape, but rather a tremulous hovering over the border between the two.

After releasing records by Swede Axel Boman, Frenchman S. Channel and Californian SFV Acid, Third Try Records goes back to Sweden and introduces the world to Bella Boo with her debut release, an impressive EP with an impressively mature sound for a young producer, light years away from the usual deep house tropes.

Over the last sixteen years Moods & Grooves has amassed a staggeringly impressive label family that includes names like Theo Parrish, Mr G, Kyle Hall, Rick Wade, Andres & Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann. This May the legendary Detroit label returns with a seminal thirteen-track album from veteran DJ & producer Joe Le Bon entitled 'House Music Love Music'.

With this new LP Jarno Eerola aka Joe Le Bon demonstrates his inimitable production prowess, garnered from a musical career spanning more than twenty years and encompassing releases on labels such as International Deejay Gigolo Records, Pro-Tez, Plastik.FM and Blumenbeat. Alongside his own output the Berlin-based artist has written tracks and remixes for numerous producers, most notably composing DJ Hells chart- smashing remix of Tim Deluxe 'Transformations' which saw six continuous weeks at number one on Beatport.

Jarno's polished production ability and aptitude for exploring diverse sounds and rhythms whilst maintaining a resolute warmth and depth to every cut is the most prevalent footnote across the course of the album. For 'Ghosts On Cassette' the Berlin-based producer works whirring space-like atmospherics over hypnotic beats and shuffling snares to dish up a smooth and captivating opener. 'For Yasuni' and 'The Road Is Under Repair' get worked over subtle synth patterns and crisp percussion to offer up some of the more emotive provisions on the album. This in contrast to the deep driving beats of 'House Music Love Music' and the more club-ready tracks like '82 Degrees' or 'Like Cotton Deep Orchestra' truly exemplifies the wide-ranging nature of the album.

All in all Joe Le Bon has structured a sublime body of work that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home or the middle of a dance floor, each and every track oozes depth and sits as a true testament to his abilities in the studio.

A performing musician since his teens, Oyamada created his creative alter-ego (the name is an homage to the Planet of the Apes), in the early 1990s from the ashes of his previous project, Flipper's Guitar.

With the 1997 release of Fantasma, Cornelius gained international recognition for his cut and paste style reminiscent of American counterparts Beck and The Beastie Boys and was released internationally by Matador Records. Being called a "modern day Brian Wilson" for his orchestral-style arrangements and production techniques, Cornelius subsequently became one of the most sought after producer/remixers in the world, working with a wide range of artists including Blur, Beck, Bloc Party, MGMT, and James Brown.

With 2002's Point, Cornelius' music took a quantum shift, going from sampling found sounds' to looping organic elements and creating lush soundscapes. Using water drops as the rhythmic backbone of Drop' on his vocoder-infused cover of Brazil', the album dazed and amazed fans and set the path for the next phase of his career.

2007 brought this philosophy to an even higher level with the release of Sensuous. Cornelius' live shows are known around the world for spectacular visuals (all perfectly synchronized to the performance), custom lighting that doesn't simply augment the performance, but becomes another instrument within it, and a full band of equally talented and diverse players.

The companion piece to the album Sensurround + B Sides, earned the nomination for Best Surround Sound Album' at the 2009 GRAMMY Awards.

The summer of 2016 saw the release of Fantasma Remastered, on Lefse Records. The package, a 2LP reissue of his classic album, also included 4 additional outtakes and earned Pitchfork's Best New Reissue'.

Das Solo Collective ist ein zeitgenössisches Klassik-Ensemble bestehend aus den deutschen Kammer-Musikern Alex Stolze (Violine, Vocal), Anne Müller (Cello) und dem britischen Pianisten und Produzenten Sebastian Reynolds. Aufeinander trafen die drei erstmals Ende 2016 in Berlin. Zunächst kollaborierten Sebastian und Anne auf Sebastians Track - Holy Island der auch auf dem Debüt - Solo Collective Part One zu hören ist. Nachdem Alex dazustieß, stand das Trio im Februar bei ausverkauften Shows in Berlin und Hannover erstmals gemeinsam auf der Bühne und wird nun das Debüt auf Alex Stolze's Label Nonostar Records veröffentlichen.

Alle drei Musiker haben sich bereits mit eigenen Arbeiten einen Namen gemacht, was sie auch als Einzelkünstler zu einem Solo Kollektiv zusammenfügt.
Alex Stolze ist als Teil des international anerkannten Improvisations-Jazz-Ensembles Dictaphone aktiv, die im November 2017 ihr nächstes Album auf Denovali Records veröffentlichen werden. Als Mitglied der Band Bodi Bill, feierte er europaweit Erfolge, ausserdem ist Alex eng mit der blühenden Techno-Szene Berlins verknüpft, wo er als Gründer von Krakatau Records u.a. Künstler wie Lake People mit aufbaute. Sein EP-Debut - Mankind Animal" erschien im Herbst 2016 europaweit. Momentan arbeitet er an seinem Album, dass 2018 veröffentlicht wird.

Anne Müller erlangte durch ihre langfristige Zusammenarbeit mit dem ikonischen Experimental-Pianisten Nils Frahm erste Aufmerksamkeit. So kollaborierte sie mit Nils bei vielen seiner zahlreichen Projekte, unter anderem 2011 auf - 7fingers oder dem Soundtrack für den Film Victoria 2015, für den sie auch den deutschen Filmpreis in der Kategorie - Beste Filmmusik gewannen. In der jüngeren Vergangenheit arbeitete sie auch mit weiteren Erased Tapes Künstlern wie beispielsweise Ben Lukas Boysen zusammen und steht nun davor, 2018 ein Solo-Debüt über Erased Tapes zu veröffentlichen. Desweiteren arbeitete sie auch jahrelang mit Agnes Obel im Studio und auf Tour zusammen.

Sebastian Reynolds ist ein Leuchtturm der britischen experimentalen Musikszene, wo er sich als Gründer der legendären Ensembles Keyboard Choir und des Braindead Collective hervortat. Neben der Arbeit im Solo Collectivekomponiert er zur Zeit Scores für zwei zeitgenössische Tanzprojekte der Neon Dance Company, dem Thai inspirierten Mahajanaka, sowie Puzzle Creature.

Auf - Solo Collective Part One finden sich je zwei Kompositionen der beteiligten Künstler, wovon je einer während des ersten Auftritts im Roten Salon der Volksbühne Berlin aufgenommen wurde, während der zweite Track eine exklusive Studioaufnahme ist. Trotz der scheinbar heterogenen Zusammenstellung ist - Solo Collective Part One ein bemerkenswert kohärentes Hörerlebnis, mäandernd zwischen sonoren Streicher-Kompositionen, schleifenden Elektronik-Texturen und aufgearbeiteten Vocals, um mit Reynolds' atmosphärisch-anregendem Piano-Stück - Holy Island abzuschließen.

Einflüsse auf das Projekt stammen unter anderem von Steve Reichs' Counterpoint Arbeiten und Arvo Pärts Orchestralwerken, aber auch von Brian Enos Ambient-Piano-Kompositionen.
