Refreaked is a new imprint created by DJ Spinna as an outlet for unreleased remixes, edits and reworks.
Volume 1 features Spinna’s signature touch on JJ’s classic Pleasure Principle, essential stuff!

The second release on the Nijmegen label/club night Blauwdruk is here, enlisting the help of Telephones and Mario Marini to edit two 80s boogie cuts from the European mainland.

On the A-side, the Norwegian Berliner Telephones delivers an epic rework of the 1983 tune 'Sock It' by Indian-Finnish artist Jolly Kunjappu. Sax solos, extended breakdowns and synth hooks that will stick like glue; it's all there.
On the B-side, Nijmegen's Mario Marini delivers the midas touch to the lost Dutch boogie tune 'Without Love' by L & B Band. You'll instantly recognize the original this version was based on, but the synth solo and drum break give the tune a whole new life.

Anish Kumar shares “Bollywood Super Hits!”, a five-track compendium of pulsating Bollywood turned house-and-disco cuts that have been turbo-charging Kumar’s recent DJ sets.

The introductory “Asha” bursts open the doors to the project with thumping four-to-the-floor rhythms and the saunter of sampled electric guitar melodies. Followed swiftly by “Sadhana”, a stomping, effervescent jaunt that’s received widespread club-support from the likes of industry stalwarts Daphni and Four Tet. “Nazia” is delightfully percussive and steeped in analog warmth, a soon-to-be disco anthem that yearns for peak time warehouse usage. The penultimate track, “Ananda”, is laced with wandering basslines and hair-raising vocal sampling, leading steadily into the project's conclusory cut “Lata”. Nocturnal and pressurised, the final track rises like a crescendo of razor-sharp techno synthesis and sheer vocal prowess.

Four more certified stompers from the Moxy Muzik camp with the fifth release in their Editions series seeing Sydney Charles, Phil Weeks, Mene and Syrossian all providing the goods.

Up first, Sidney Charles’ ‘House To Heal’ was first played by Charles at Darius Syrossian's sold out Moxy OFF sonar pool party in Barcelona, Sidney's opening track, the place erupted, Darius signed it on the spot! Only a few hours old, the track was getting its first play, with Darius subsequently spinning it in New York and Hideout festival to a deluge of ID requests.

Next the French maestro Phil Weeks lays down ‘Superfly’ a slick, smooth, funk-flavoured groove topped off with the perfect party starting sample. Exactly the kind of top shelf business you would expect from Mr Weeks.

On the flip, Syrossian merges ‘90s UK garage and US house vibes for ‘Right There’. Chuck in a pure diva vocal and a stomping trademark kick and you have a fierce driving dancefloor belter with support from a whole host of DJs on the circuit.

Mene - No Me Impolta closes out the EP written by the two Serbian producers that have been making waves lately, Mene & ACA (YU). A Latin-inspired groover, that’s received massive support from Loco Dice and Jamie Jones, with both making this an anthem of their parties in Ibiza last summer, after receiving upfront copies from Darius.

30 year anniversary release of this rare, collectable housey / garage crossover gem 'So Where Are You' harnessing the raw vocal power of Kevin Williams over a tough house rhythm and even throwing in a slice of Manuel Göttsching for good measure. Both the Hashish Dub and Vocal Mix are included on this release.

The flip side houses the Oppy Mix of the Queen, Simple Minds, Prince and Scarface sampling rave classic 'The Real Life'. The A side of the sampler features Jimpsters bumping Deep House rework of South African electronic producer, Thakzin and songstress Ray T’s ‘Don’t Let Me See’. Fresh from remixing Solomun, Kerri Chandler & Joey Negro, Jimpster picks up the pace, adds layers of Afro inspired percussion and creates an ethereal effect on the vocals, resulting in a club ready classic.
