Parang Recordings welcomes UK-based Tommy Vicari Jnr to the label for our latest vinyl release. Tommy has been on fire lately releasing on labels such as YAY Recordings, 320KB Music, Cabinet Records and many more. His unique flavor of minimal-infused house music fits perfectly and brings the upbeat mood we wanted for the release. The legendary Neil Tolliday (aka Nail), also UK-based, makes his appearance on the B side with a remix of 'Pabst Blue Ribbon'. Nail has been creating quality music for over 20 years and we're happy to bring his warm, refined, genre-defying sound to the label.

2Volt strikes again with another twist. This four-tracker is accurately sculpted to make the best of every turn it makes on the slipmat.

A1 is a hypnotic banger, deeply crafted with some acid details and open hi-hats that will take you to a point of no return.

A2 has the right amount of bounce to make sure your shoes are put to the test - unexpected snares will emphasize the drive of the deep reverberated loops.

B1 is back to basics - boxy and angular synthetic sounds carefully placed in a straight 4/4 beat.

The final B2 track is all about syncopated and morbid stabs, that carefully whip back and forth in the frequency spectrum, backed up by warm pads to make sure the listener feels at hom

Diferit takes the reigns of Why So Series' fifth release with a three tracker tailored for all too enjoy - "Dreamscapes" starts off as a gentle and subtle nature inspired piece, turning into an arpeggio bass driven delight.
"Dust" pushes through with a gritty in your face acid bassline and jazzy chords, keeping it sweet and simple throught whilst "Timepiece" mellows things down with a toolish approach, more suitable for warming up the dancefloor and giving some breathing space in the DJ set.

Ben Rau has had a great start to 2018, successfully launching his new label META , and recently returning from his latest tour of Australia.

It is obvious Ben soaked up the sun drenched culture and musical inspirations down under, as his latest INKAL release "Systéme Solaire" showcases Ben's diversity in the studio, and a more melodic side to Ben's sound that perfectly balances musicality while maintaining underground credibility, amounting to what is arguably Ben's strongest work yet.
With multiple represses on each INKAL release so far, the momentum is building for Ben and INKAL004 will only serve to enhance his ever-burgeoning reputation as a purveyor of dancefloor-ready weapons.

The EP kicks off with the title-track A-side "Systémes Solaire", a track which displays all the trademark influences Ben Rau has become synonymous for , as expert drum programming glitchy percussion and a rolling funk bassline combine to provide the groove.

"Systéme Solaire" has hooky elements in abundance, as a combination of chord work and constantly evolving synths team up to create a memorable, peak-time bomb. The B-side, "Expand", continues in the same vein, as a short, bubbling bass stab drives the track forward and modulates to provide an acid vibe, joined again by luscious piano chords and licks and the Expand' vocal, which switches up from a whispering atmospheric to a heavily effected, pitched tone that keeps interest throughout. All the while accentuated by fractured groovy percussion, piano licks and open hats that shine over the whole track.

The Belgian labels Planet Ilunga, specializing in researching, documenting and releasing Congolese music from the fifties to seventies, and Roots Vibration, devoted to reissuing classic roots singles and albums, join forces for the first time. Together making one of the most enigmatic reggae albums available again. Recorded and produced in the late seventies at Lee Perry's Black Ark studio in Kingston, Jamaica.

The album which Congolese artists Seskain Molenga (African Fiesta National, Empire Bakuba, TPOK Jazz...) and Kalo Kawongolo recorded together with Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry is a most remarkable project to surface from the Black Ark studio. It's also one of the most misrepresented of Perry’s productions, with myriad explanations for its existence falling far short of what actually happened.

The intention of the original band, formed in France by the producer Bernadette Duget and composed of a mixture of Congolese, Senegalese and French musicians, was to head to Jamaica to record a rock album with African undercurrents in Lee Perry's Black Ark studio. However, in Jamaica things didn't go according to plan and the project turned out to be a failure. The Congolese duo Seskain Molenga and Kalo Kawongolo continued working with Lee 'Scratch' Perry and this collaboration would eventually bear an unexpected reggae fruit. These recordings were originally released on LP in 1979 and re-released in 1991, yet the vinyl album remains highly sought-after.

Now finally re-issued with extensive liner notes by the American journalist, author and reggae aficionado David Katz (assisted by Bart Cattaert (Planet Ilunga) for the interviews with Seskain Molenga). This reissue sheds more concerted light on the complex tale that lies behind the work. Most notably thanks to the emergence of 'new' eyewitness accounts such as Seskain Molenga, Wasis Diop and Lee Perry.

The debut album by Seskain Molenga and Kalo Kawongolo remains a unique slice of musical ingenuity, an intoxicating sonic storm that resulted from their temporary presence at the magical space of the Black Ark.

The sound recording and quality of the original album is a story on its own (you will be able to read about this in our liner notes). It was quite an odyssey to get the sound right, without losing the original energy and ambiance of the recordings.

Having released their ‘Esperantza’ EP on the label last year, here we see the pairing return to Bondage Music in fine form to open their account in 2019 with the impressive ‘Dobr’. Title cut ‘Dobr’ opens the EP as the duo quickly go to work, introducing a slick blend of sharp drum shots amongst snaking bassline patterns, whilst ‘Blissed Out’ combines organic percussion licks, punch low end tones and warping synth leads to great effect.Next, the first vinyl only track on the package ‘Riddin’ welcomes dubby pads and crisp hats before flowing steadily into the slinking, metallic tones and 303-tinged bass stabs found throughout ‘Standers’.

Na Zrak Records presents its very first vinyl release called Final Call by Bogdan Andrei.
Bogdan hosted 3 collaborations on this release with Mila Lexi, Libe and Alex Rusu.
Final Call describes label's sound featuring slightly deeper reduced house and minimal techno.

The third time is definitely a charm. Dokutoku three is here headed up by DoubtingThomas delivering a two track EP with seriously smooth jazz inspired atmospheres. The release is topped off by a raw grooving remix of 'Tandem' by fellow Frenchman Alexkid.

His sick minimal style has worked its way into the sets of many Romanian minimal artists such as Arapu and SIT. Fresh of the back of releases on RubIsco and Aesthetic, Nolga is shaping up to be the hottest new property in the underground scene. On remix duties we are delighted to welcome Silat Beksi who’s been a huge favourite of ours over the last few years. Finally Niko Maxen brings his signature rolling groove to round off the ep.

Streetlight Soul' is the inaugural release on new imprint Gnosis. This four track EP is the fifth Myriadd record, following 12"s for Crème organization, Pinkman and Signals. The past decade has seen releases from the artist under a variety of pseudonyms including Acid Phreex (Djax-Up-Beats), Mantra (Bunker, Abstract Acid, Solar One Music) and Monofonix (Iwari, Cataclyst). Across the EP, Myriadd remoulds the template of vintage Chicago house, acid and deep house into his vision of modern house music. Opening with 'Midnight Obsession'; working a dark hypnotic bassline into an endless groove of crisp jacking drums and soul stirring melody, all primed for maximum effect at 4AM when lost in the smoke and strobes. 'Visions Of Love' is driven by a Juno bassline, a classic palette of tumbling, infectiously funky drums, warm, enveloping synth atmospherics and elevated by lush, celestial string work which comes off like some fantasy Mr Fingers + Virgo psychedelic jam. The EP's titular track goes deeper into the night with 909 claps, off-kilter snare hits, melancholy synth and ethereal melodies that ascend and dissolve into neon clouds.
