Imagine listening to music inspired by Frahm, Richter and Steve Reich, but made by one of the UKs leading house and techno DJs. Away from the hubbub of the club, the craziness of Ibiza, theres a contemplative side to everybody. Forget the beats and the sweat and the billowing anthems; this quiet, undulating, at times pastoral piece is less about songs and anthems and more about texture and atmosphere. Scene Delete is a side of Sasha youve never heard before. Scene Delete was released to critical acclaim in Spring 2016 and we are now proud to present two remixes of tracks from the album by premier Erased Tapes artists Kiasmos and Rival Consoles.

Wonderful new compilation of unearthed gems from Balearica. Kicks off with the indemand full 12-minute version of the Chaplin Band's definitive take on Lucio Battisti's classic 'Il Veliero', a hypnotic druggy bass and guitar-driven dancefloor opus that tears the roof off every time. Followed by the short but sweet sun-drenched gem 'Flying Cloud' by The Doobie Brothers. Next up comes Boule Noire's 'Aimer D'Amour' a superb beefed-up French version of Leo Sayer's Balearic favorite 'Easy To Love' and then rounding things off is the gorgeous mellow groove of 'A Touch Of Temptation' by Japanese multi-instrumentalist Masaaki Ohmura taken from his impossible-to-find 'You Gotta Chance' soundtrack LP from 1985. Great collection.

Rothmans are back with their first release of 2016 and who better to bring in the new year than italian electropsycho's DJ Rocca & Daniele Baldelli. Of course this record would have to pay homage to an Italian great and who better than 1982 world cup hero Marco Tardelli . First up on the EP is a synth funk journey called Kratos. Rocca goes full on here and doesent hold back as he takes us on a journey of Synth wizardry and classic Italo beats. Up next is an another original from Rocca called Fonk 400 another track that could have been plucked starigt out of the golden age of Italo Disco , again Rocca is pulling no punches here. The EP is rounded off in spectacular fashion , just like Marco Tardelli's Famous world cup final celebration we have nothing short of genius with Daniele Badlelli's Electropsychomix of Kratos. Baldellie doing what he does best and taking us too another level yet again !!! Ricky L and Marcoradi have been friends for as long as they can remember. They frst met on the dancefoor of one of Italy's most iconic clubs, Red Zone in Perugia, where Ricky has been a resident DJ for the best part of 25 years. Now, they've joined forces in the studio for the frst time, uniting under the Hear &
Now alias for Claremont 56. Those with a keen knowledge of Italian dance music will know their impressive track records. Both have a history of producing fne deep house records and remixes for the likes of Ibadan, Uomo, Reincarnation, Top Tracks, Restricted Tracks and Vega Records. With Hear & Now, they've decided to step back from the dancefoor, instead producing hazy, emotion-rich music for after-hours listening, and mornings spent blinking into the sunshine. A-side 'Hirundo' is a thing of rare beauty: a gently fowering opus constructed from shuffing, mind-massaging drum rhythms, spacey pads, stretched-out
organ chords and Marcoradi's effortless guitar playing. Lilting, alien synthesizer refrains seemingly tumble from the heavens, intensifying the duo's blissful mood. Flip for an even deeper excursion, the softly spun wizardry of 'Sabbia Magica'.
Here, the duo's house infuences gently rise to the surface. This is slow, deep and dreamy house from the top drawer, with jazz-fecked guitar fourishes and undulating electronics combining effortlessly with hypnotic, metronomic drums,
cascading string lines and a wonderfully dexterous electronic bassline. You can dance if you wish, but you may just want a hug instead.

AXE ON WAX return with another sub-label — a hip, trendy and super fun younger sibling of the Axe imprints, with PNP 001 as their first offering.

PNP 001 compiles together re-edits of classic tunes, a task London local Deejay Astral (fka Palace) is certainly not unfamiliar with. His B1 'Say Yes' opens with a muffled, mumbling take of the spoken-word intro to Floetry's 2003 hit single. Astral's play with filters lends the up-pitched neo-soul vocals an even more seductive flair. The rework's feature of sensual jazzy keys and hints of a trip-hop groove may highlight the RnB original's dreamy bedroom vibes, but the addition of popping kicks and crunchy raw percussion really repurposes the track into a serious dance-floor heater, all without any overstatement. Deejay Astral sure knows how to please.

Sporting a touch of lo-fi, a healthy dose of disco and a whole lotta oomph, the rest of the tracks do not disappoint. It's no wonder PNP 001 already has the likes of DJ Seinfeld, Baltra and Banoffee Pies on board with early support. Definitely keep your eyes peeled for the release!

Relative newcomer to the scene, Caserta delivers the goods on his first-ever artist EP release. Spanning a wide range of styles from thumping sample-laden hip-hop grooves, to chill nu disco, to bumping old-school house, this one has a little something for everyone. Cleverly knitted together with interludes and outros, the Dynamic EP is both utility knife in the DJ bag, and a beautifully varied listener experience.

The album contains the first ever publication of 'Heiraten's 7 inch version. The band from Hannover was originally formed in 1980 and released their first album 'Zum Teufel mit dem Kamel' in 1982. During this period they also recorded a second album, which, however, was never published.Some of the tracks on the record originate from this album which were restored jam sessions on tape.All tracks were edited and rearranged by Cid Hohner.

Limited information on this release, it contains two super edits that have been heavily road tested on a certain soundsytem that is currently doing the rounds. Not much information beyond that but the music speaks for itself. Slow mo with energy. More soon

Montreal maestro brings 4 wonderful jazzy, slo mo, deepy, housy tunes for the start of new label. These tunes are already released in digital on Dave's Kinjo Music on several EP's.

The ambient sister of Rough House Rosie, Pandora returns with its third release featuring Russian producer Dices. Music on this 12" was recorded in winter of 2013 for a photo exhibition 'Northern Light' in St. Petersburg and as in previous work "White Nite" (as a part of Untitled Gear project) Dices continues his research of the city's influence on state of mind. With this 4-part EP we fall into not so sunny, but non less deep emotion and discover St. Petersburg in black-and-white color. Abstract guitar riffs by Nick Ossia, field-recordings and ethereal sounds are producing the light feeling of psychodelia and invite us into a virtual journey through the winter city, full of mysteries and contradictions.

Difusion return with 4 killer edits after their inaugural release in 2016 which proved to be a global winner in sales and on discerning dancefloors. Once again there's 4 strong edits that cover a variety of genres that Difusion is becoming known for. The arrangement of 'Someday' brings life to what is already a great song and now offers a more consistent groove for dancers. the tempo is dropped but the funk is high with 'On The Scene.' On the flip 'Freaksta' kicks off preceedings with some freaky music that locks you in a rolling groove. The EP closes off with a modern soul classic edit of 'Right Now.' NYC based producer and head honcho of the (in)famous, Wall Of Fame, label, makes the trek to Texas for Whiskey Pickle Records "third shot" on their new minted vinyl series. His groovy brand of sampled house and disco has leant classy tracks to many a release on his home turf, but its rare that the beat smith venture into uncharted territories with his prized compositions. The folks at Whiskey Pickle must have liqoured up the ole boy up in order to finagle such a delightful EP out of him, and thankfully, us boppers are to benefit! "Water," the A1 opener kicks off with some chunky drums and an uptempo chug as layers of percussion and dancefloor onomonpea's create a bed for the piano driven groove to unfold... a scorcher! Move inward for "Don't Wanna Be" and the tempo drops dramatically. A hypnotic, looped beat gets a syrupy bass riff and cavernous funk-claps until the gorgeous, mono-synth lines appear and carry us to utter ecstasy! Flip it over for "Moods," a track that is as lovely and emotional as it's title suggests. The vibes sampling and superlative drum programming create an exceptional, dreamy frame work for the groover... perfect for opening sets or a much needed, dancefloor breather. Lastly, " Your Dance" snips some familiar territory into a perfect energy builder with beefed up muscles, perfect for modern heads. Watch out for the mighty horn stabs and flanger flourishes, they're gonna prove to be DEADLY!

True to form, Boston-based label Cultures of Soul is set to release a compilation of obscure disco from a far-flung corner of the world. After forays into India and Brazil, they now turn their attention to South Africa. South Africa is home to a dizzying variety of musical genres and traditions, including some that look directly to American sounds for inspiration. In the late 70s and early 80s, many of the country's best young musicians were guided by funk. All over the world, disco was growing harder and more electronic, with new synthesizers entering the market every month. The southern tip of Africa was no exception. Global music industry geo-politics, however, aided by the country's pariah status and a UN-sanctioned cultural boycott, prevented the vast majority of this music from ever being heard outside the country, nor ever being released on CD or digitally. Until now. Compiled by Cultures Of Soul head honcho Deano Sounds in collaboration with Johannesburg-based DJ Okapi from the Afro-Synth blog and record store, Boogie Breakdown serves up two tracks apiece from six seminal acts from the era - Harari, The Cannibals, Neville Nash, Benjamin Ball, Don Laka and Al Etto - to offer a glimpse into this long-forgotten era in African music history. A period of true innovation and new possibilities - as well as isolation and political instability - the early 80s in South Africa saw the emergence of numerous talented, innovative artists, whose efforts soon gave rise to the big-selling 'bubblegum' sound of the mid-80s. As the decade wore on, this sound shed its American roots and took on more local influences, becoming ever more electronic and less funky, to become the kwaito of the 90s and ultimately the house music of today. It all started with the arrival of synthesizers and the creativity of producers and artists featured on this compilation - pioneers

of a new sound before it became established and marketable - global in its appeal, yet rooted in Africa.

June 2017, Amsterdam, NL: It is with the utmost urgency that we report the conclusions of our experiments with controlled doses of 4-ho-met, codenamed ST004.As instructed, we met up with agent 23, who introduced us to the test subject- code name ben penn - who was ushered into the bunker for immediate testing. In order to observe his reactions, penn was injected with a modified dosage of 4-ho-met and locked inside with only and handful of electronic machines for company.The subject immediately began acting strangely. It quickly became clear that 4-ho-met was increasing his capacity to produce music.Afterwards, penn was able to play us two audio interpretations of his experience. He was visibly shaken. The first penn called: spare hobby'. He described the resultant musical translation as higher level inter-dimensional funk'. His utterances while under the influence of 4-ho-met were captured partly using a device the subject described as a vocoder'. His capability to form complex melodic structures was striking.The second interpretation was titled carrera' and composed during a period of vivid hallucination. The subject sweated profusely throughout and became obsessed with driving electronic drums. He told of seeing purple-coloured ghosts, which he attempted to portray musically via wild synthesizer flourishes and what he said was called a bass line'.It is our belief that immediate action must now be taken in order to control the spread of 4-ho-met amongst the wider civilian population.

Deja Vu is a EP that has been a long time in the making. The result, we hope you will agree has been worth the wait. The title track kicks the EP off with a killer funk groove that Riccio works into something we think Mark E would be happy with. tyson Jam is an original cut that channels some of his inner Moodymann vibes - heads down, lights down, fader up...For the B side we asked the incredible Payfone (who has been racking up a solid string of releases on Golf Channel) to remix Dyson Jam and he has created a perfect contrasting remix to the rest of the tracks of the EP.
A deep journey that takes the original into sub-dawn territory. 4am vibes! The final cut of the EP Mystical Stretcher, is a late night jazzy Funk number. Again a little Mahogani inspired...
