Name in Lights have been organising parties, DJing, producing music and running their own label Feed for a long time.
Fact is - they are kind of royalty back in Stockholm.
After releasing records on Under The Shade, Free Association, Let's Play House, as well as getting remixed by Dr Dunks and Axel Boman it's now time to present two tracks on Omena.
Believe it or not but the ties between Omena and Name In Lights go way back. All Inclusive is that type or track you would either start or end the night with while Post Mortem sounds like DJ Koze and Isolee would have a baby together.
On this release there are two remixes which completely flip the originals. Underground hero Samo DJ is a force to be reckoned with. With recent releases on The Trilogy Tapes, Public Possession and an album on Snaker together with Maxxxbass he found time to work 'All Inclusive' into something completely new.
Watch out for the end.
Finally label boss Tooli delivers a remix filled with as much rhodes and conga as your heart desires.

Fellow earthlings, cast your gaze skywards. If you're quick, you might see Earthboogie's intergalactic cruise ship coming in to land.

While they've been DJing around London and beyond with their custom built Quod sound system for some time, the Mr Mystery EP marks their debut appearance on Leng Records. It's the first time the fruits of their studio labours, recorded in the space they call The Control Room, have made it onto vinyl.

Izaak Gray and Nicola Robinson's musical vision is delightfully hard to pigeonhole, but is arguably best summed up by their self proclaimed dedication to all things 'intergalactic, cosmic, tribal and terrestrial'. Some may draw clear parallels with the Afro-cosmic work of Italian pioneers Daniele Baldelli and Beppe Loda, where rock guitars, disco riffs, vintage synthesizers and heavy African drum rhythms are all thrown into the musical melting pot.

On the A-side, you'll find 'Mr Mystery', a bongo-laden chunk of hypnotic, low-slung voodoo disco full of haunting flute lines, flanged funk guitars, heavy drum machine kicks, impassioned yelps, cascading chords and crunchy clavinet lines. It's an intoxicating, early morning trip that achieves a near perfect balance between thrusting danceflooor heaviness and head-in-the-clouds daydreaming.

Things get even steamier on the flip, where the intergalactic, Afro-disco hustle of 'Route Ten To Interzone' ushers aboard Earthboogie's star-bound cruiser. Built around an irrepressible groove - think restless electronic bass, hard-wired disco-funk guitars and layered tribal drums - the track surges forward on a wave of chanted vocals, spacey synth solos and irrepressible disco flourishes.

'The E.B Theme', a kind of aural call to arms, completes a fine first foray into music production. A little looser, hazier and deeper than the rest of the EP, the tracks is propelled forwards on waves of dreamy chords, lilting trumpet motifs, spacey electronics, tumbling disco guitars and a bassline that recalls the early days of Chicago deep house. It's a wonderful end to a notably impressive debut 12'.

It is time for the Nang and Rayko worlds to collide once more. The awesome Madrid-based DJ and producer is back with his second album on Nang. As ever the grooves are wide, the beats are large and the musical elements ooze funk and nu disco sheen.

Thing open up with the title track and recent single "No Stopping". The track features the fine vocals from Tania Haroshka and it is a powerhouse of synth disco, electronic groove with real bass guitar and darting guitars giving it just a tint of Miami Vice sheen. 2016 single "Crazy" is up next with it's catchy hooks and counter melodies. It comes with just the right amount of good-time groove to bring a smile to any face. Things tone down "Robot Life" which is a creeping synth fest with wandering grooves and chunky drums.

Danielle Moore features with a fine vocal on a 'pure Rayko' style classic "Cosmic Pirate". Muscular basses and darting guitars being deployed to maximum effect. "Ocarina Of Time" is next with its layered complexity and stabby synth bass notes.

Tania Haroshika returns for the final trio of tunes on the album. Her fine vocals melding effortlessly with the slick production from our hero. First up is "HOT" which builds the music slowly adding layers of multi tracked guitars and real bass before breaking forth into song. "U" sneaks in from the leftfield with its quirky strings and arpegiated synth-clavi lines. The album closes with the (slightly) melancholic and pensive groover "Space Boat". Tania adding a brooding vocal over a pulsating juno style bassline.

A fine effort from our Madrid based hero who once again shows everyone what this "top-of-his-game" DJ-producer can do with some guitars and keyboards. Bravo

Six years on, Sabrina returns with Clareia. Itmeans to clear, light, brighten or illuminate, which, after seeing Brazil and the rest of the world go through some very difficult times, is exactly what the writing of this album brought to my life.' All tracks are written by either Sabrina, or in collaboration with her father Alex Malheiros and producer Daniel Maunick. Written and recorded in Niteroi, Brazil, overlooking Gunabara Bay and Rio's beaches, mountains and forests, the music basks in its surroundings and sings of ecological beauty, peace and sanctuary. Echoing Sabrina's emphasis on clarity, Alex notes that the album's title represents an appeal to the minds of our civilization today, to clear our thoughts for good and for peace.'

This pursuit of clarity continued into the studio: It took a little longer than usual' notes Sabrina, which was good in way, as all my previous albums were recorded in rush and we usually had a week for pre-production and another week in the studio, which always gave me the feeling that I could do better. With this album it was different... we took our time.'

Sabrina's unmistakable voice has never sounded better. Packed out with high-octane swinging samba-soul, like the title-track and 'Salve O Mar', the album also features some bottom-heavy Brazilian boogie cuts, like rejoicing album opener 'Celebrar' which harks back to some of Marcos Valle's cult '80s disco output, and 'Sol Ceu E Mar' is a Tania Maria-esque future classic of scorching latin-funk. Mellower moments are found in 'Em Paz', on which Sabrina's beguiling harmonies find an anchor in the rhythmic acoustic guitar of Ze Carlos', who Sabrina heralds as being the best guitarist I have ever worked with'. Azymuth's keyboardist Kiko Continentino's deft Rhodes, piano, organ and synth playing, add ever more textures of distinctly Brazilian brilliance throughout, while tropical brass and flute arrangements on cool bossa-jazz movers 'Vai Maria' and 'Sandore', come from Brazilian saxophone legend Leo Gandleman, a man who has worked with everyone from Gal Costa to Gilberto Gil. The rhythm section combines Daniel Maunick's seamless drum programming and the organic polyrhythms of Brazilian percussion legend Jakare, all punctuated by Alex Malheiros' inimitable (occasionally slapped) jazz-funk bass, giving the album its irresistibly danceable pulse.

Set for release at the height of summer this year, Clareia is an intergenerational masterclass of Brazil's soulful spectrum, led by a pioneering voice of today's scene on the very top of her game. The up-lifting compositions, which take inspiration from the stunning natural beauty amongst which the album was made, and the call for the clarity of mind needed to preserve it, are enriched by this special team of some of Brazil's most established musicians. Like the sun breaking through tropical storm-clouds, Clareia is a vessel of joy, as Sabrina puts it simply, I hope Clareia brightens the soul of whoever listens to it. That's the spirit of this album.'

After 2014's brilliant Hoshi LP, Hell Yeah Recordings is delighted to announce a second album from Italians Tempelhof and acclaimed countryman and composer Gigi Masin. Entitled Tsuki and due for release late April, it features nine tracks of exquisitely designed modern ambient with a blissful tinge of the beach, sun and sea.
Tempelhof is musicians Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani, a pair who have put out three great albums and many magical EPs since 2009. They are expert craftsmen who are skilled musicians with a rare grasp of melody, rhythm and timbre. Once again here their work with Gigi Masin—who was picked as one of the best artists of 2015 by many outlets, and who enjoyed lots of love for his re-issued Wind album, amongst others—is soothing, stunning and serene.
Things open up with Tuvalu a rippling, suspensory track full of lush chords, floating synth lines and angelic harmonies. From there things stay perfectly horizontal, with dangling hang drums and transcendental drum lines slowly unfolding on tracks like Corner Song.
Tracks like Vampeta, with their drifting trumpets and plaintive pianos, are hugely absorbing and captivating. They feel orchestral in makeup, with live drums and oodles of reverb cocooning you in beautiful sound. Far from performing the same trick over and over, darker, more sombre moods also pop up on Komorebi', whispered vocals make for tender additions to Blue 13' and the glassy textures and clear summer skies of Labyrinth take you to another place entirely.
This is another faultless album from Tempelhof and Gig Masin that is not only musically adventurous and hugely accomplished, but is also expertly emotional and honest.

In house music circles, the name Jazz-N-Groove is spoken in reverential tones. The Florida duo Brian Tappert & Marc Pomeroy caught Frankie Knuckles' ear with their first co-production, and went on to release on classic labels including Suburban, Strictly Rhythm and AM:PM, as well as founding the seminal Soulfuric imprint. Best known as Jazz-N-Groove, they released under a variety of aliases, including Defected Records' first ever single, the UK Top 10 'Can't Get Enough' under their Soulsearcher guise. Now the relationship comes full circle, as they join the ranks of Defected's 'House Masters'.

A truly legendary group, First Choice came from humble beginnings during their student years in their native Philly. French artist Marc Nguyen Tan released two renowned albums in the early 2003 and 2006 under the artist name Colder on Trevor Jackson's seminal label Output Recordings. In november 2015, Colder returned after a decade in hiatus with his third, highly acclaimed album Many Colours followed by two other LPs titled The Rain and Goodbye in 2016.
Kasper Bjorke is one of the most acclaimed and versatile producers and DJs hailing from Denmark. Kasper has released five renowned solo albums over the past decade and remixed a wide range of artists, from Rebolledo to Weval.
The two artists first started working together when Kasper remixed Colders single 'Your Kind' - and Colder in return remixed Bjørke´s track 'Marbled Blood'. The idea to take their collaboration even further was formed when the two of them met in person during Sonar Festival in Barcelona in 2015. In 2016 they then teamed up in the RedBull Studio in Paris for a three day improvised recording session.
The result is the Black Magic EP in stores on September 8th via Throne of Blood. A collection of five raw, driving post punk / new wave and techno influenced compositions, recorded via the studio SSL desk in Paris, using hardware synths and drum machines played through some exotic vintage effects. Colder recorded his mesmerizing vocals on the spot along with French drummer Julien Sabourin and saxophone player Thibaut Javoy.
The EP will be followed by a stellar remix package from The Golden Filter (Optimo Music), Mutado Pintado (Paranoid London) and French producer and dj Pilooski.

The latest release on Guy Gerber's successful label RUMORS is a remix EP of The Dying Seconds' song 'Mora Minn'. Guy Gerber himself turns in a dub remix, whilst Acid Mondays and Elie Nissan & Jenia Tarsol's tales feature on the B side.
Guy's remix see the acclaimed DJ and producer turning the starting point into a wholly new and original sounding release. The dub mix puts Guy's outstanding production into the spotlight. Subtle yet intricate, Guy's take on the record pulls together echoing piano chords, a delicate guitar line and emotive, building strings over a gently propulsive bassline. It'll be familiar to those who have frequented Guy's famous RUMORS events series this season, with Guy's road testing of the release prompting many fans to ask what this new, distinctively Gerber-stamped track could be.
Meanwhile, RUMORS label and events mainstays Acid Mondays take the track into deeper and darker territory, with a faster paced beat and sub-bass flourishes offsetting trippy vocal samples.
Two fellow Tel Aviv talents, Eli Nissan and Jenia Tarsol, round off the EP with a rework that matches more of the original's drums, vocals ethereal piano line with amplified percussion and a dancefloor ready bassline.
The EP drops towards middle of a busy season for the label and events series; RUMORS Ibiza has become one of the busiest and most talked about daytime events on the island, with international parties in the likes of LA, Mykonos, Sardinia and, most notably, a London street party selling out within hours. To accommodate his ever-expanding fanbase, Guy will be playing a landmark headline show at London's historic Roundhouse on the day after this release.

Brooklyn's Son of Sound joins hometown label Razor-N-Tape with The Dusty Files EP, a 4-tracker that embodies the gritty and driving sound of the borough.

The A-side kicks off with Your Voodo's Broken, a track that builds to mid-tempo looped perfection even before the floor-shaking bass drops, followed by the beguiling synth patterns and efficient yet driving drums of No Bullets Left.

On the flip side, Nude Jerzee eschews the bridges and tunnels and takes us straight to NJ by way of outer space, and then What Do You Feel floats us gently back to earth on a cloud of strings, electric pianos and a chugging disco beat.

Marathons began innocently, as a quick debut EP by an energetic Swedish duo we found on SoundCloud. Within a couple months of chatting with the pair, Artur Bra¨ndstrom and Egil Kahlbom, however, we realized our collaboration wasn't going to be simple, so cut and dry, so straightforward, and that's why we find ourselves here, a year after meeting them with a full album, not an in-and-out single, on our hands.
What made it complex and intricate, you ask Why'd we opt to squeeze eight originals into one long-player, you wonder Well, Artur and Egil are prolific dudes with fantastic ears and formidable work ethics. A couple of demos quickly sprouted offspring and became four, then six, then ten. Rather than fight the arbitrary desire to trim the spread down to a 12', we figured we'd aim higher and work on a proper album. What we constructed is, in a very classic sense, a long-player.
Here's that album! It's a sunny, loose, limber, uninhibited boogie through warm disco cuts and wobbly house jams and soulful funk slices. Daytime chill-out with a nightclub architecture—or peak hour mayhem with a bright, clearheaded euphoria. Marathons swings every which way and suits any mood, so drop that needle and try it on. Then repeat, repeat, repeat.

Life of Marvin is a Joint Venture between Manfredi Romano (aka Dj Tennis) and Marvin & Guy (Italo Deviance's Marcello Giordani and Alessandro Parlatore), these crazy Italian diggers went deep into the most obscure Italian Techno tunes from early 90's and what they discovered was quite amazing.There was a huge club scene in Tuscany during the mid-90s called 'Progressive Techno'. L.O.M. aim is to explore the sounds that preceded that movement The first EPs are giving new light to Tracks taken from the original catalogue of the Interactive Test Record label owned by Franco Falsini, that became key figures in the Italian Disco scene since early 80s (see Italo-Hit 'Electra feat. Tara Butler - Feels good') and the brother Riccardo.That label was the incubator of the whole pre-Progressive movement (1991-1993) and the first releases are coming from great djs and producers like Roby J, Francesco Farfa, Gabry Fasano, Marco Calderoni etc.The music genre is impossible to define properly... just give it a listen. This is the 1st Volume with monster dance floor tracks by Roby J and Sick Hardcore.

Pierre Bastien is a French legend that has collaborated with artists such as Robert Wyatt, Jac Berrocal and Jaki Liebezeit, to name just a few. He is also very well known for his compositions based on home-made mechanical instruments, designed and constructed by Bastien himself. Pure DIY. Using these instruments he would create a heady experimental mix incorporating poetry and some far-out music, all in all very intriguing and original indeed. Needless to say when the notion of Pierre Bastien and Versatile Records potentially making a project together arose, it was a total honour! Throw into the mix esteemed electro-acoustic composer Eddie Ladoire and now we've really got something interesting. Eddie and Pierre met when they appeared on the same concert bill together and they decided to collaborate further with Versatile being the platform for the fruits of this particular project. The original version of 'Phantom Dance' is a beautiful piece where Bastien plays a trumpet into some water blended with electronic drums and mellow organs lines, creating an otherworldly, subterranean Jazz vibe for the freaks. Suzanne Kraft, the LA native / Amsterdam based producer turns the original into some mechanical broken funk vibes while Rotterdam's Oceanic delivers 2 fresh, reimagined versions. One for for the club with a strong afro beat feel while the other one is a slower affair for the after hours. Both mixes bringing something new to the table. A truly original and interesting release from some very talented people, for those with open ears and open minds!

Four floaty dubs & re-rubs from San Francisco's Ryan Bishop aka The Beat Broker (Bear Funk, Flexx, Adult Contemporary, etc). Many heads probably best know Ryan as the brains behind DREAM CHIMNEY, one of the longest-running and most consistently interesting online hangouts for like-minded music freaks.

Larceny Dub soars to new heights of AOR bliss, featuring an extensive re-working of a record that was passed along to Ryan by an ex-Deadhead neighbor.

It's been two years - more or less - since the debut release of Editor's Kutz and the label proudly presents its sixth instalment right on summertime. Starting things off with a duo working really effectively lately, the label head "VinylAddicted" and the "Whiskey Disco" boss "Sleazy McQueen". Their "Free (From Social Narcotics)" has not only a powerful and acid message, but also a rolling beat and juicy bassline, frenzy looped keys and raw strings. True dopamine! Kinjo Music's kid, "Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee", comes up next with a "Stellar Dub", a mid-tempo groover accompanied by a sweet trumpet and brass, fluffing the track with a very cosmopolitan style! Flip-side belongs to the label newcomers. First "The Silver Rider" uses his disco skills on a little known track. "Good Luvin' Baby" has that fatty and hearty beat, which in addition to the lazy guitars and female vocals is perfectly made for sun and sand dancing! Last but not least, "Doc Jam" samples a beloved disco hymn, lifting it to a more disco-house and bouncing level. Pressed on a chillin', doublemint opaque wax. Austin Ato is the latest project from Colin Bailey, the multi talented producer from Oban in Scotland who has been the man behind the Drums Of Death moniker since 2008, and has also recorded under the Frankie Dreams and Coba aliases. With forthcoming material also due on Phonica White, Ato lands on Futureboogie with the massive feel good vibes of 'Music Will Save The Day', backed with two superb remixes from Auntie Flo and Christophe.
Featured here are two original mixes of 'Music Will Save The Day'. The 'Dub Mix' the is classic house music jam, packed full of energizing musical flourishes, from the Balearic tinges of the sequenced mallet riff, whimsical pads and booming bassline to the searing crowd chant and the joyous piano motif. Ato displays some serious musical chops here, which are further enhanced on the 'Vocal Mix' with the addition of a bi-lingual vocal hook that will surely act as a call to arms on any discerning dancefloor.
On the 'Auntie Flo's Hidden Garden Remix', the Huntleys & Palmers mainstay strips things right back for a beatless excursion, letting the percussive elements drive the forward motion whilst the melodies and thick synth pads wash over like crashing waves, a great reinterpretation by Brian d'Souza AKA Auntie Flo.
Futureboogie's very own Christophe provides the second remix; tweaking an acid riff over a heavy, old school drumbeat and teasing in the musical elements, providing a tougher and more jackin' take on the Original Mix, whilst keeping faithful to the original vibe.

Earl has been with us since the beginning. The C in C.R.S.T. from some of our earliest releases to the spanking 'Goodfoot' EP as Chesus and more recently his twisted disco remix of Daneeka's 'What's it Gonna Be' with Seven Davis Jr.
As Earl Jeffers he's really found his sound and we are stoked to have him back on board with his best EP yet. These tunes have been flaming all year in the clubs. Proper essential stuff.
