DJ Raw Sugar started deejaying in the mid 90's spinning techno records at the legendary Tresor club. Soon he discovered his love for house music and was
part of the emerging vibrant Berlin club scene.

In 1997 he won the KISS FM Berlin Next Generation Deejay award as one of the most exciting newcomer deejays at the time. As a producer and remixer he has worked with a number of outstanding artists such as Amp Fiddler, Fae Simon, Milly James and Inkswel. He's released edits, remixes and original productions on labels such as ISM, Gazeebo, Midnight Riot, Voyeurhythm, BBE, Editorial and his own imprint Love Sexy Records.

Everybody's Darling Rahaan is back with three hard knocking Acid Tracks.

With his 3rd album Dear Stranger, Duesseldorf artist TG Mauss appeared 2013 for the first time on Berlins quality music label Karaoke Kalk. Proving once more his skills in meshing up folk pop with electronic music, he left a big mark at Hans Nieswandt (Whirlpool Productions), who now throws the track Ghosts into the club: a grooving funk bass played by Levent Canseven meets a rattling hi-hat and spacey soundeffects. Mauss voice makes the disco ball and our dancing hearts pause for a moment, just to explode on the dance floor. That's what you call state-of-remix-art.

The Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra is Far Out's in-house, Brazilian disco super group. It features the arrangements of Azymuth's late Maestro José Roberto Bertrami and the legendary Arthur Verocai amongst a host of other Brazilian musical icons. With a consistent stream of original modern disco sounds, the project has also played host to a series of remixes from some of dance music's greatest pioneers. FOMDO12 is the latest in this series, with fresh interpretations from Dego, Andres and Ben Hauke of the as yet unreleased 'Where Do We Go From Here'

Like 'Step Into My Life', which came out last year via two John Morales remixes, 'Where Do We Go From Here' is taken from the forthcoming second instalment of the Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra project. Check the first here:

A1 is Dego's 2000 Black remix. The broken beat innovator streamlines his sometimes more rugged sound, with the funk as priority. It's a sophisticated and irresistibly slick disco-house roller, reminiscent of his recent single for Neroli, 'Don't Stop (Let It Go)': with the same cross-genre appeal, a deep and deeply inviting groove, with Dego's signature swing.

A2 is a study in contrasts; Ben Hauke's take looks inward to find its feet, an intriguing riposte to Dego's open-arms welcome to the dancers. Organic rhythmic elements pile on top of each other, so loose and precariously balanced they seem to be perpetually on the verge of collapse. It's to Ben's credit that he pulls it off while showcasing a gifted ear for minor-key melody, with warm synths and piano notes taking his mix to another level. An essential slice of soulful, broken house, it effortlessly builds upon the tracks foundations, adding deeper, darker dimensions to the original's classy disco sound.

B1 is Andres' mix. It's got the touch of smooth Detroit class that we have come from to expect from him. Woozily silken keyboard chords work their way around an insistent bassline, the jazzy interplay perfectly offsetting the locked groove. The latter is a head-nodding house beat with a touch of boom-bap that belies Andres years of experience in the hip-hop world, most notably as Slum Village's resident DJ. Vibe-wise, it sits comfortably between Dego's sophisticated uptempo soul and Ben Hauke's downbeat late night groove. All three make for a stellar addition to The Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra remix roster, showcasing the many dimensions of their pioneering modern disco sound.

with modern elements.Opener 'Spring & You' is oriented by the early Detroit sample process and reminds us
of the beauty and simplicity of this area. A2 'Arms Akimbo', the most Disco oriented track on this 12', is a timeless swing weapon.
On the B side 'Nothing To Fear' a heavy Disco-House tune that certainly demands a
shaking hip. Followed by B2 White Stairs a late night stomper.
Unsurprisingly the releases of the young Colombian - Swiss producer Look Like are receiving support from heavyweight diggers like Ben Ufo, Lexx or Detroit Swindle.

The International Feel label is a favourite of all musical persuasions. It's carefree grooves have been supported by the likes of Gilles Peterson through to i-ÚD magazine. Spearheaded by Mark Barrott for the last seven years, it has both broken new artists such as Len Leise and resurrected legends such as Jose Padilla, while successfully bringing Balearic back into the world's consciousness in the process.

The title track is an elegant wash of synths and percussion, creating an emotional texture in its rhythm and serenity in its simplicity. 'Tago Mago' creates more action through its dense percussion and temporal melodies, all set upon the subtle field recordings that Barrott has become infamous for. Through these he manages to create a new landscape within our own senses, using sounds of the island, his rural habitat in Ibiza is reimagined in our mind's eye to create the ultimate utopia.

Jerome Derradji + Still Music are proud to present Let's Dance Records - Mike Macharello & Duane Thamm Jr. Chicago 1983-85. The origin of house music, at least in a commercial sense, is generally associated with young African American producers from Chicago's South Side, but one of the first Chicago house music labels was started by a young, white, gay DJ from the far west suburbs.
The Let's Dance story will take you back to the beginnings of Mike Macherello and Duane Thamm Jr. when Chicago's house music was in its infancy.
Back then, after starting as young roller disco Dj in the late seventies, Mike Macherello gradually made its way to the best radio station in 1981 - WBMX - and started a movement that still ripples through the city today. Let's Dance's founder, Mike Macharello, was a DJ who bridged diverse music scenes, from rock clubs to discos. The Let's Dance record label helped establish Chicago's dance music industry between 1983 and 1985, before becoming Play House Records (which will be reissued by Still Music in an upcoming set). Macharello's pal, DJ Duane Thamm Jr., also from the 'burbs, became the label's main producer and one of house music's most important studio engineers and producers. Mike and Duane went on to release a few legendary singles for Let's Dance that are still to this day considered to be the earliest House music records coming from Chicago.The 12' pack includes faithful reissues of Selenia's 'Single Girl', Duane Thamm Jr. 'Jump Trax', the insane Knight Action 'R-Trax/D-Rail' 12's along with a 5 tracks 12' compilation and an accompanying poster insert including rare pictures and artifacts with the story of the label.

Emotional Rescue returns with the third album in a series based around the music of Luis Delgado and Javier Bergia. After a collecton of Javier's best music, the reissue of their Ishinohana collaboration, here presented in 'Vathek' is Delgado's debut solo album. The second release on his El Cometa De Madrid label after Ishinohana, the LP is an avant-garde step forward from that collaboration, their work in Finas Africae and also, his previous Mecanica Popular project. In a sense, Delgado is the link that brings many of the country's music of that period together. A multi-instrumentalist he played his first concert at 14 before becoming an in-house engineer for RCA that led to Mecanica Popular with fellow engineer Eugenio MuNoz (Randomize) and the projects following. The colder electronics of that project belie Delgado's Andulusian Folk/Rock and Ethnic Fusion compulsion, as came to prominence with Luis Paniagua in their Babia releases and via the later success of Finas Africae. In Vathek, Delgado pushes beyond these projects to utilise the studio and explore his interest in Eastern music. Subtitled "Procesos Electronicos Para Instrumentos Acusticos," the premise was that even with all the machines, the knowledge to use them is not realised and therefore, the goal was to go deeper within these processes to create an new encompassing sound. The ten pieces should, therefore, be seen in this exploration, yielding a deepness not associated with this golden period of Spanish music. A truly experimental album that is meditative and mesmorising; a mastery of instrument, studio and thought. As with Javier Bergia's 'Eclipse' and Ishinohana before it, Vathek comes with wonderful hand-illustrated artwork by Finn Campbell-Notman, from his studio in the Andulusian foothills.

Give a warm welcome to one of Munich's finest electronic music producer talents Lukas Bohlender who's delivering a stunner of a debut EP for Compost Black with his - Sublime EP' - backed up by a floor friendly Beanfield & Thomas Herb Remix this little beauty truly lives up to it's name! A couple of years ago - around 2009/2010 - when we hosted our Black Label Sessions parties at Munich club Harry Klein we've regularly spotted a guy on the dancefloor - dancing and grinning - well he always seemed to enjoy himself hanging out at our parties - this guy was Lukas Bohlender. It didn't take too long and a little chat has been held beside the DJ booth - exchanging thoughts about this and that and of course about the music or the DJ who was playing. So sooner or later the seed for our relation has been planted. When Lukas sent us his tune - Club Chateau' in the autumn of 2012 he primarily wanted to hear our opinion but we were simply blown away and signed the track for the Various Artists threetracker Black Label #94 which has been released in spring 2013. Lukas tune went into the boxes and playlists from Agoria to Tiesto (no joke!) and marked a first success. The year after we hooked up Lukas in order to remix Robinn's - The Game Is Now Over' feat. Nathaniel Pearn (aka Natural Self) on the vocals - and again he did a great job delivering a beautiful remix. So we were quite curious and excited when Lukas knocked on our door earlier this year and played us two tracks he just finished - - The Sublime' and - Curly Bun' - and he truly took our hearts by storm again.
The title track is based on a strong polyphonic bassline and being topped by heavenly keys and organs it builds and builds to epic dimensions in a sublime way - if we could, we'd open a new sub-genre called Gentlemen House for this one :-) - Curly Bun' with it's beatless intro and broken beat structure is starting out a bit more laidback but unfolding it's relentless slipstream bar by bar - backed by a strong bassline and topped by a dedicated synth progamming and two very nice piano gimmicks. To round things off we've asked our longtime Compost Records stalwarts Beanfield & Thomas Herb to contribute a remix for - The Sublime'. The duo who already teamed up previously to remix Emilie Nana's - Tolstoy Changes', stripped back the rich musical elements of the original to it's essence, add a rougher SP1200 twist in their beat programming and took a more repetitive / Detroit inspired route in their arrangement / mix to make it work their dancefloors - great job! Nuff said!!

- hello asshole' comes with a crispy swinging groove, which is almost a breakbeat and the sounddesign sweeps splendidly. and then this compelling guitar riff appears and together with the voice and a bold synthi-line, it lifts us to new heights; right where you just drift away, big number, somehow stoned, but still kicking. jimi jules is a true musician, who prefers recording everything by hand, just like kalabrese, and sings himself, when he's in the right mood and has something to say. currently he's busy recording his debut album, trying to express himself and refining his style. jules is one of zurich's up-and-coming talent and already had a bunch of releases, no matter if techy, housy or some kind of dancepop, this boy rules.

The b-side's - kafi-lied' is an ode to the coffee drinking. taking time in the morning and starting the day with a relaxed mood. and the voice of sarah palin, singer of the rumpelorchester, gives the song the energy to gleam over everything to passionately throw oneself into the day and fall in love. Once again a strong performance by the zurich vocalist, the soul breathing just like fresh coffee flavor. The rumpelorchester guys join with a - rumply' choir and kalabrese adds the white milk froth with the right groove and his characteristic analogue synthi pads.

One of our highlights of last year was Nebraska's 'Soften the wireless' EP, with disco stomper Khan's Bargain, and an amazing Tom Noble remix. Since then, we've seen him take on quite a few live shows again, playing at Claire during ADE, and Concrete for our label showcases. He's also managed to find a bit of time to focus on his fresh (new and cool) edit label 'Friends and Relations'. Luckily, since we've been nagging him to do a new EP for Heist just enough for him to still like us, and more than enough for him to want to get it over with, we've gotten our hands on another set of amazing tunes. So we're happy to present his amazing music, nicely packaged in one handy record for your listening pleasure: the 'Metaphor to the floor' EP. You'll feel a hint of that Nebraska classic 'This is the way' on the lead track 'Affirmation', with its subtle build up and release of energy, looping vocals, and dramatic chords. Aglio e Olio is not only a simple yet tasty Italian dish with of just 5 ingredients, it's also quite the track on this EP, equalling the dish in terms of simplicity and strength. Snares on the 1, Clavi style hits and a loose arrangement give this track a great funk - house crossover appeal. On the flip, we've got fellow Londoner Laurence Guy, who just released an amazing album on the equally cool 'Church'. His version of Aglio e Olio is a dreamier excursion with filtered pads, acidey licks and more than enough balls in the low end to get you movin' in your dim-lit club of choice. The ep's final track sees Nebraska turning the energy up a notch or 2 (or 3), with 'Big plate chicken'. NightMoves, who is one quarter of Boogie Cartel, has Trip City's second release in the bag with his first solo release, the MIRAGE EP. Spasm is the big hitter on the record with heavy basslines and drum workouts, stripped back and meaty, the opening track is a sweatbox, just add poppers, while Swelter next up angles in on a tropical disco island, building up with synths and birds alike setting the mood before the mid way frenzy, after dark at centre parcs. Deep vibes on the B side with Deeper Love slowly burning its way through as the opening track, warmth and feeling squelch & radiate on this love excursion while Duneswill take you on a journey over sands far far away, tripping on a Mirage.

International Feel's newest signing Private Agenda are taking us back to a time when soul first met synthesisers, shoulder pads were as vital as the right Berlin address and Sheffield met the sonic Caribbean playground of Compass Point.

It was from this juxtaposed melting pot that the early seeds of Alfredo's Balearic Beat movement gathered pace and 'Déjà Vu' is a cocktail of Linda Di Franco, a Roxy Music esque aesthetic, bound together by elements of the inventive, contemporary production values of artists such as Todd Terje and Prins Thomas. 'Freefalling' on the reverse proves a fitting reflection of Private Agenda's wider vision. Finding sonic roots in early Balearicism - ethereal vocal lines over delicate percussion.

Uniting their disparate tastes and talents for the first time, the trio's debut single, 'Déjà Vu', provides a wonderful introduction to their world where production values are as detailed as they are bombastic lyrics, as reflective as they are bold.

Private Agenda are Martin, Sean & Nick. Martin's first synthesiser was an organ. He met Sean in German class. Sean was famous at school for his Mercuryesque indierockband stage presence and was especially dedicated to the art of songwriting. A few years later in Berlin, Martin moves in with Nick. The first time they worked together, they went for hours straight without a break. "I wanted to watch him mix music forever, it was magic," Martin recalled. Anonymous guy Mystep is a sound producer and singer with releases on Large Music, Apparel Music, Lapsus Music working with major singers in electronic world like Cari Golden, Burnski's voice Beckford and Rahjwanti, is putting his hand to the smooth and laidback deep & funky 'Think' track featuring the vocals by Parisian LaVoyce.
The track elegantly performed by Mystep & LaVoyce is somewhere between deep house and funk, rich with guitars, hammond organs is the good story in the end.
We are very happy to have Americans Pools who after producing the album from our friends from Razor-N-Tape found time to contribute for full length release on Sex Panda White (oops, soon to follow) and 'Etobicoke' - the chill edit which is the logical ending of the whole 'Colors' release.
