This double LP is the bi-product of a creative simpatico, their quest to articulate a vision void of any defined lyrical or melodic language. The instrumentation is a balanced palette of hard and soft, light and dark, pristine and corroded, droning and orchestral, crafting narratives out of unexpected elements so weathered and rich that each carries a lifetime of character within — tin cans rusting in the desert dust, dewdrops pattering on overgrown foliage, swarms of locusts writhing in song — abstractions culminating in a parallax view of the world through Karamika's eye. This is savage music, uncontrolled, unrelenting, impenetrable.

After a short break in the African wilderness, Black Rox return for part 4 of this acclaimed series. Animals On Psychedelics is a new label out of Cleethorpes, run by DJ/promoter Carl_H. Through a combination of name, artwork and musical output, Animals On Psychedelics focuses on the more tripped out, spacey side of electronic music. Release #002 comes from another member of the Family Miro SundayMusiq, who hosts the super sonic, boundry-pushing party Sunday Club*, down at The Pickle Factory. The Alkebulan Project is on a mission to change the perception of Africa an it's citizens. Nigerian artist Villy and his group "Villy & The Xtreme Volumes" are on a mission to educate Africans with their message calling for a revolution in Africa, politically and socially in all aspects. Philou has a combination of Congolese, Nigerian and Sierra Leonean heritage and it is in these roots that he has built his sound. His passion for the continent of his ancestors is fervent and his projects are challenging commonly held preconceptions about Africa. His goal is to challenge negative stereotypes, by making African cultures more approachable through music.

Emotional Response again teams up with Meda Fury and Sad City to present an EP of remixes from the acclaimed debut album, Shapes In Formation. Enlisting a killer tag-team of DJ Nature, HOLOVR and Herron to bring their own retakes of Gary Caruth's music, arrives with justified anticipation.

The success of Sad City's debut opus was a deserved conclusion to a journey across third world ambient, found sound samples and jazz-touched beats. All are reworked and expanded here while retaining the artist's all encompassing atmospheric oeuvre.

First Milo Johnson dons his DJ Nature moniker for two mixes of Steady Jam. The stand out of the album for many, it seemed right to request Milo's skills to push the sample-based loops to a deep dance floor. Rolling congas, skipping hats and the teasing, soulful melodies come together to work their magic. Vocal and Dub are crafted and cut as one long-form take for the more adventurous, this is dub-disco for the today's real (to reel) entertainers.

Side two is given over to rising names in HOLOVR and Herron. With releases on Opal Tapes, Further and Firecracker Recordings, Jimmy Billingham 303-infused sound is perfect in reshaping Caruth's trip that is Pace, Movements I-IV. Building slowly with trademark 909 meets acid, kick eventually arrives to take the remix beyond head nodding to swinging minds and hearts.

The EP closes with a perfect dismantle and rebuild by Manchester's Herron. A man of talents, Sam Lewis is pushing his City's cultural landscape via the Soup Kitchen venue, co-running the on-point Meandyou Records, while still having time to record solo as Herron and for Hinge Finger as one half of CO/R, alongside label head Joy Orbison. The glitch beats, drone synthesis and orchestral vocal snatches of Rain fuse and percolate in the mind's eye. Sad City. Reshaped in transformations.

We're back from hibernation after releasing the third Roundup at the end of 2016 and we're starting off with a new signing. Milan based Parker Madicine joins Heist with some high tech funk with a serious nod to the 'D' and we've got Byron the Aquarius delivering a great jazzy remix. You'll be more likely to find Parker Madicine browsing through boxes of old jazz and soul records than you'll see him showcasing his social media skills. He's a real vinyl junky and moreover a hip hop fanatic and probably loves his synthesizers more than his mother. Apart from promoting funk and soul oriented parties in Milan, he founded CT-HI records, short for 'Contemporary Theories of Hip Hop Influences". A few years back he teamed up a.o. with his buddies Veez-O and Turbojazz to create some Dilla and early 90's inspired hip hop and these influences are clearly present in his EP for Heist. With Heartbreaker, he lays down a dreamy but heavy groove for the first minute or so, arpeggiating its way to the moment where the airy pads make room for a looser than loose groove where synth stabs and bass line dance around each other creating a killer vibe. Zawinul starts in the same manner, rough kick, loose and degraded hi-hats and dreamy Rhodes chords. The tracks build further with some lovely brassy hits and arps, whereas Placebo is the most stripped back but high tempo track, where an airy and delayed bassline does most of the work to set the mood. We're really happy to have Byron the Aquarius reworking one of PM's tracks.

The mysterious Anonymous Edits return with a killer 4 track EP of dancefloor edits.

Norwegian house and techno producer Bjørn Torske started experimenting with electronic music in the late '80s in his hometown of Tromsø. As a teenager he was inspired by other Tromsø musicians, especially Geir Jenssen, the musical prodigy later to be known as ambient pioneer Biosphere. Torske started releasing minimalist techno in the beginning of the '90s, primarily under the name of Ismistik.

coming out of Philadelphia heem the music monsters were produced and handle by long time philly producer and writer Hubert willis. The group had small success circa 1976 with their psych funk 45 "wake up people"/piece of the rock" they recorded a few more tracks from those sessions and what lay on the reels for all these years is probably their best yet...Its just right for now. "Keep god on your side" is modern soul disco of the highest order, over 5 mins long it leads you onto the dancefloor and never lets go! Flip it over and you have one hell of a funk disco instrumental entitled " going down (incognito)". We have maintained the Blood Leaf label with a slightly new design

The B-side starts with - Come Home , a stomping beat with a coating chord sequence and some straight hidrum patterns. After the break it changes completely and wondrously transform into an emotional deephouse beauty. - Around Tha Corner represents a dusty sound without compromises. The bassline-kickdrum pattern and the repeating deepchord push it from start to finish...one for the basements.

Especial welcomes the debut EP from Romanian duo Khidja. After remixing Baris K's 200 earliering on for the label, here they deliver two Eastern influenced pieces of dubby electronics, that are backed with remixes from Timothy J Fairplay and Juju & Jordash. Khidja appeared on Especial's radar after a call from one Mr Sean Johnson (A Love From Outer Space / Hardway Brothers) to say he'd DJ'd in Bucharest and that 2 young DJ's had closed the party with an amazing track that on enquiry turned out to be their own production. And so Mustafa soon arrived. This was followed by Abdul and before Teressa May could get her fascistic paws on them, they were safely part of the team and handed over to the care of Timothy J Fairplay (The Asphodells / Crimes Of The Future) and fellow cross border travellers, Juju & Jordash (Real Soon / Dekmental) for induction and reinterpretation. Mustafa is more immediate with shuffle percussion, swirling sirens and acid bubbles leading to a perfect hornbreak In the hands of Mr Fairplay though, a bigger, bolder version is seen. The word anthem is banded around easy at times, but when aired by Mr Weatherall, this reinterpretation, with it's stabbing bass and build, has seen howls wherever it's heard. Abdul on the other coin, is the calming influence. Art of Noise vocals, kick and bass keeping things simple, dub and echo enticing the slow-mo groove to swing before Eastern melodies take it away. Bass is the dominant force in the Juju & Jordash remake. A reminiscent (aka balearic) guitar is plucked from under the melody and throb to recall forgotten lands and complete a memorable debut.

Bjorn Petrikat aka Konig Saatgut has not released a record for 15 years but never stopped experimenting with different flavours of dance music. The Spirit is a Disco / UK Breaks hybrid that repeatedly ignites dancefloors across the board. A curveball that set everything on fire.

Some proper jazz funk here. Ron Trent executive produced EP that reminds of bands like Atmosfear.

Hard Work is the first release on Industria, Robi Insinna's brand new project label.

Back in 2001 Robi Insinna founded the seminal Relish label in direct response to a then- dominant sound in club music. Its catalogue is as vast as it is varied and foreshadowing the music he'd go on to make himself under Headman/Manhead. Fast forward to 2018 and after more than a decade he's on the move again launching new Project label, Industria with 'not quite an album, not quite an EP, Hard Work. Robi felt there was no reason to split projects the way he did with his aliases and as such the debut will be released under Robi's own name.

Industria will be focused more on vinyl releases, but not solely vinyl. The project will encompass all area's of Robi's work and ties together elements of his art and visual design projects.

Merging Robi's disco leanings with an opiate smooth, stoned groove the title track Hard Work opens proceedings and heads immediately for the dancefloor dragging its hushed vocals and skewed guitar line kicking and screaming with it.
The dub rolls in next further stretching and twisting the guitar and giving the rhythm more space to swing. It most of all draws from the sense of outsider-disco fun, with the sound of stuttering percussion, a wry smile, and a knowing wink running throughout.

Du¨sseldorf Krautrockers Die Wilde Jagd take over remix duties on the third track of the A side and cast Hard Work off into unfamiliar and experimental territory, using bright synth splashes, squashed vocal samples and a pulsing rhythm to wrestle the groove and growling sense of menace out of the track.

Side 2 kicks things off with Some Believe coming to life with arpeggio'd synth shapes and brutish drums. The overall feel, however, suggests considerable care and attention has been paid to make it sound this way. There's clearly an uncommon musicality at play here to make something this complex feel so simple.

The BPM drops next on The Kiss but from the offset, there's enough funk and thrust in the motorised synth line to get bodies gently grooving without the beauty getting lost in the slower loop. A dramatic bass leads and a xylophone playing a nervous but euphoric melody follows. It's glassy mallets pinging atop the warm electronics creating a fresh groove.

Closing track Oct17 rounds off the record and puts an ever more personal spin on retro analogue sounds with synths and drummachines . A razor-sharp snare fires against the bassline and what sounds like a sliced vocal loop before these elements settle into a more measured thrust with the undulating synth tones offset by funkier ingredients.

This is a record that doesn't have its eyes fixed on past glories but references all the element that made Robi's previous work so special. Hard Work sounds like it's here to freshen up 2018. It's music that leaves scorch marks and smoulders. It is the sound of our very own, very recent times.

Tenderness - A short-lived Disco project helmed by James Purdie and Skip Mahoney only released one 45 and one 12" single during their brief existence. Known for their work with Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers & Frank Hooker & Positive People and many more, this duo were undoubtedly a highly talented producer, songwriter and keyboardist combination. Originally released on RCA in 1978 'Keep On Trying' was an underground club hit. The record still packs an immense punch today, it's a mixture of tough streetwise drums and percussion and swooping dramatic strings and brass will surely hit the spot for Disco aficionados. The kind of record you can imagine causing all out pandemonium at the Garage while the scents of amyl and sweat fill your nostrils. The kind of record that would make everyone on the raised stages and podiums at the Powerhouse whoop and holler in collective joy as Frankie stylishly segues it into a punishing percussion break-down. Yep. It's THAT kind of Disco record, so rare and so coveted that even the infamous DJ Harvey put it over his knee and gave it a good editing way back when. There's been a shedload of poor imitations knocking around, dodgy Euro bootlegs etc, but this 2017 repress is from the MASTER TAPES (Yes, we can prove it) and is fully, 100% LEGIT in every way. 'Keep On Trying' - now available again, released in conjunction with RCA. Back on the streets. Same as it ever was! Essential Disco heat here, buy on sight!

The obscure, previously CDR only side project Franz Falckenhaus has stood out for many of us as one of Mr Wolfer's most accomplished works. Full on VHS grained Cold War paranoia. Like if Fulci directed a Bond movie starring Udo Keir and Edwige Fenech. Shades of Fabio Frizzi, Minimal Synth and Aphex Twin, all combine for this cinematic masterpiece. Culled from the three CDs originally released on Strange Life Records, it is with immense pride that we provide this collection for the first time on vinyl, lovingly remastered with exceptional new art by the one and only Eric A. Organic Analogue may be best known for its deep-diving techno and house and star-gazing electro, but on this latest transmission it digs into its roots in 1980s club music by way of the supremely talented Croza.Florence-based Adrien F Costes makes his first solo outing here with tracks lifted from his treasure trove of home-made, boogie-influenced beats. The sounds may tap up a direct line to the 80s, but there's a distinctly modernist slant to the heads-down groove that Costes cooks up.
Italian producer Ad Bourke also makes a rare appearance to remix "Night Heat". His version plays out like a hazy dream sequence injected with a little Italo strut, rounding this record out as a celebration of the deep-seated influences that guide Organic Analogue.

John Daly is without a doubt one of the most influential artists of deep Dub-House. The Irish man's music has an unique and truly original trademark sound. With these two tracks he proves once again his exceptional quality and makes no secret about his influence, real Chicago and Detroit House in a fresh and timeless outfit with his special twist. The EP opens with his most blissed out track to date 'Die Ewige Nacht', an eight and a half minute inverted sun ritual based around shimmering cascades of dubbed up electronic percussion and an overdriven tintinnabulated FM arp.

Hi-NRG meets 80s B-Boy electro on 'Crescent City' with a careering off-road excursion into tripped out mutant carnival cavalcade territory.

Dia De Muertos's offbeat eerie percussion and driving low frequencies are met with spectral buzzing melodic refrains from the furthermost reaches of a decaying Oaxacan cemetery.

The acid drenched ambient lullaby 'You & Me' brings proceedings to a fittingly fucked up close.
