Rhythms richochet and basslines loom in this lewd and dramatic track, a piece born in the grit and sweat of the floor under a haze smoke. The lights are kept low for the flip. 'Immortal Fix' spikes and spins, laser beam synthlines cut through rumbling chords with snares that do more than just bear teeth. Italy's Hesperius Draco closes Johnny 320 with giallo horror grandeur. Beats and words are shrouded in lilting strings for this sinister curtain fall.

Yoruba Records is pleased to welcome Dario Rosa to the family with his first release on the label, 'No Ede'.
This two-track EP takes listeners on a hypnotic journey and delivers nothing short of a rhythmic workout.
Starting off with the title track, 'No Ede' was originally a gospel song but not the type you may think. Traditional African percussion leads this track from the opening bars. Smooth stringed rhythms open up and create space as the hypnotic melody of the Kora carries you away. On the flip side we are greeted with 'Something' which is already everything. A decidedly deep cut heavily influenced by the early '90s House sound. Funky keys and an infectious bassline beg you to move as the low end keeps you locked in motion. This introspective groove is made for the late night dance floor and will bring you back while looking ever forward.

My House is an edit of the Diana Ross classic 'it's my house, inspired from the Horse Meat Disco boiler room set from the Eagle in London. High Rollers is a mid tempo cut inspired by our appreciation of 80's funk & Disco.

LillyGood Party!' is the brand new BBE compilation from highly respected Swiss DJ Alex Attias. Taking its name from a party he
runs in his native Lausanne, LillyGood has gradually evolved into a radio show and even a label, now on its 4th release. Refecting the music he plays at the clubnight, 'LillyGood Party!' is packed with funk, disco, deep house and boogie bullets from across the globe. 'The idea is to present not only rare or difcult tracks to fnd, simply good grooves for peopl/e to play out, or listen to at home. From rare Japanese disco gems, through spiritual jazz, to genre defying sounds from broken-beat cohorts Kaidi Tatham and Dego LillyGood Party! takes a unique trip inside the musical mind of one of dance music's true nonconformists. Alex Attias got his start in back in '88 playing funk, house, jazz, and disco, as well as producing under various monikers such as Mustang, Freedom Soundz or Beatless. Moving to London in '97 he started his
'Visions' label and found himself at the epicentre of the emerging West London 'Broken Beat' scene which grew around his studio at Goya. Releases on People, Planet E, Ubiquity, Neroli, Archive and Compost followed, as well as remixes for Incognito, 4Hero, Ennio Morricone, Sun RA, Art Blakey, Roni Size and Laurent Garnier among others

Today Róisín Murphy announces a series of four 12'singles produced by Maurice Fulton and released across consecutive months this summer through The Vinyl Factory, and shares the first pair of songs 'All My Dreams / Innocence'. From Moloko onwards, Murphy has always gravitated towards a deep groove. But here, with Baltimore maverick musician/producer/DJ Maurice Fulton, she's gone and made some of the most hip-twitching, pleasure-centre-stimulating music of her life. And it's being released in the only correct way for sounds so intimately connected to the dancefloor: on a series of 12' singles, with stunning graphics from Portuguese New Yorker Braulio Amado.
'Ultimately its about dancing,' says Murphy. 'My kind of dancing: all low and funky, allowing itself to be a little out of control. It's all very simple in a way but Maurice has spent a lifetime immersed in music for dancing. His experience and depth of knowledge is undeniable. I did as I was told!'
Across all eight original songs, her lyrics are intense, exploratory, probing into dark parts of her own and the listener's psyche - all the while working on the immediate, endorphin-stimulating dancefloor level too - and her voice is finer, richer, more expressive than ever. The tracks are full of the unadulterated, but deeply warped funk which Maurice has honed over his decades of dancefloor experience. This is as vivid and urgent as Murphy has ever sounded, and it bodes more than well for whatever comes next in her absurdly exciting on going voyage of discovery. 'I've got more projects on the go,' she says; 'I've got some new and exciting collaborators on board and I'm hoping an interesting patchwork of ideas and formats will emerge in due time. But for now I'm just gonna dance it out!!!'
Most definitely her own artistic-director, Murphy recently took on a bold, experimental venture, issuing a clarion call to 'dancers, choreographers, actors, dreamers' to collaborate with her at an exciting two-day residency in London's The Store X. With the purpose to create epic video work that will span the entire project. As with the stunning visuals from her last two albums all the videos are directed by Murphy herself. In her own words: "We made a rave with a purpose. In the run-up I had made several funny little adverts asking people to come and join us. Sort of "shout going out" across my social media platforms, I was astonished by the response. I have just begun an intense editing process. Incredible people came to the shoot and gave it their all for two days solid, total dedication. A most humbling experience and one of the best of my entire creative life, regardless of the outcome." Keep your eyes peeled for the 'All My Dreams' video, the first in a series of visuals, coming on May 18th.

Gifted Culture collective kicks off with Zinnigheddas Jam Berlin, first 12' of a series of three releases recorded exclusively during improvised jam sessions. Gifted Culture wants artists to breath and to represent in music the contemporaneity that surrounds us. Gifted Culture catches that very moment on tape. This is an itinerant music project, to highlight the context as influence on the artistic process.

During the first session Two Thou, Autre, Xinner and Demo gather together during a Sunday night in Kreuzberg with an electric bass and a bunch of synthesizers. There they start to tell us how they feel the 'now'.

House- und Hoflieferant der DJ-Spitzenriege Shahrokh Dini erfuhr in seiner langen Karriere schon immer breiten Support als DJ und authentischer House-Produzent. Bereits in den 90ern hatte er Releases auf Strictly Rhythm und mit etlichen Releases auf Compost Black Label geriet er seit jeher in die Plattenkoffer von Âme, Ron Trent, Jimpster, Dimitri From Paris, Rainer Trüby, Sasse, Laurent Garnier und vielen mehr.

Übrigens ist Shahrokh nicht nur House Produzent und -DJ. Er betreibt auch Clubs und Venues seit Mitte der 90er, promotet von Zeit zu Zeit große Musik-Events, hat mehrere DJ-Residencies und besitzt auch seinen eigenen Laden - Monk in Karlsruhe.

Finishing the quartet of curveballs is 'Princess of Persia' A a hi tempo disco roller with a hypnotic groove to charm the scales of a Cobra and sleazy vibe that makes you want to reach for the liquid gold & head to the DownLow.. if you know then you know..

For their third release, Akoya Circles label boss and modular synth whizz-kid Look Like serves up 3 tantalizing tracks with which to tease and test dancers.The South America via Zurich producer's minimalist style lets him forge simple elements together into highly effective arrangements that allow lose beats and wonky synth squelches to punch in next to pristine melodies. With not a beat wasted, the tracks have a versatility rarely found across one EP.Dreamwaterz is as apt a title as you could wish for. It is comprised of three fluid and nebular tracks, each with an initial dreaminess that belie deeper and irresistible currents of funk, perfect for 5am witching hour moments. Nowhere is this more apparent on the title track.On first inspection A2 Amnesia is a fat bottomed production with a lose, jazzy feel but there is a crafty rhythm just below the surface that cycles effortlessly from breakbeats to surging 4/4. The track is adventurous without losing sight of the dancers, guiding and teasing them between a pair of club standards.Given the B side all to itself, World Below is a highly musical track with only the softest hint of drums. While lending itself to club spins as a tool for layering it stands as an introspective and ethereal piece of music in its own right.The ideas present in The Dreamwaterz EP and ice cool efficiency of their realisation makes this a must have EP for DJ across a range of styles and with Look Like still an unknown quantity to most, potential secret weapon status.

Alek Lee's second 12' on Antinote starts with an uptempo opening to a rather downtempo record. Playing with some of the genre (namely, deep house) codes like the use of a politically-aware speech or vibes, Alek Lee can't resist to give Time his special treatment nonetheless: using some of his dubby tools and bringing in a warm trumpet he takes the song onto a rather windy road. Don't fall for it though: Time is a red herring...

The next song is without doubt more immediately recognizable as an Alek Lee's tune with its slightly Pink Floydian vibe and its overall jam feel. On Kesef, the musician whispers in a tunnel of sound effects, joined by his beloved melodica and a nonchalant electric guitar.

Those who dug his previous EP might want to check out Colors and its nemesis - Dark Colors - on the flip side. Borrowing some of the ingredients he put into Sfarot, Alek Lee cooks a set of two eerie dubs. On Colors, the dark and thumping instrumental backs the voice of an impossible child, a creature bred in Tel-Aviv musician's most twisted fantasies. Meanwhile, Dark Colors paradoxically takes a much more sentimental path. No voice this time but an emotionally-drenched melodica-lead breaking through a foggy environment of ominous synths and enigmatic noises to round off Lee's mistier record so far.

180 gHaving played at On Loop's 1st birthday in 2017 after guesting on Moxie's NTS show the previous year, we are delighted to welcome LK back to the family for our seventh release. Hailing from Leeds, he's been a producer on the rise for a few years now after standout releases on labels like Shall Not Fade and Ruff Draft. Previously releasing under the alias Viers, as LK he offers something with a more soulful touch. Each offering on the three-tracker brings something slightly different to the package. Title track 'Dreams' has been made with the dancefloor in mind, whilst the summery '(I Wanna) Make Luv 2 U' is drawn from laid-back Soul and Motown influences. Slow burner 'Summer Of 93' closes the EP, with a direct nod to the slinky vibes of 70s disco.

Shep Pettibone - A name that commands the greatest of respect from DJ's, diggers, dancers and music lovers across the galaxy. Spring is in the air and Matteo Pepe, aka Uabos, is taking away that winter chill with four tracks of house warmth and machine funk. Acid bars float on crisp claps for the uplifting 'Mystic Force'. The Italian keeps the floor stoked with the sample strewn grooves of 'Copacabana' before the synths take over with the lush chords of 'City Woods'.'Karmic Souls' closes, meandering notes bend and shimmer on clean percussion for an exotic climax to an EP of ambitious analogue delights.

To celebrate two decades of Skylax Records, label head Hardrock Striker teams up with long time friend and co-worker DJ Sprinkles as SKYLAX HOUSE EXPLOSION (S.H.E.). They present the second of three exclusive vinyl releases accompanying the Mix CD for the 20 Years Compilation. All three EPs will feature previously unreleased music curated by DJ Sprinkles and Hardrock Striker. 'I think of one time in New York when they wouldn't let me into the Loft, and I could hear they were actually playing one of my records on the dance floor at that very moment. I shit you not.' - DJ Sprinkles, Midtown 120 Blues (2008).

Few spaces have had such a formidable influence on dance music culture as David Mancuso's The Loft. Mancuso stripped the space he used for his invite-only parties of commercial value; ensuring they were legal, and navigating away from any bureaucratic licenses that come with selling food or alcohol. He insisted that people from all economic backgrounds had access to his space, the price of entry just about covering overheads and employing an IOU system on the door for those that needed it.

Under The Loft EP enlists DJ and producer from Istanbul, Sinan Kaya, who opens up the A side with a peak time stomper at 117bpm. His use of vocal sample lifts the track into an energetic contemporary house frenzy only to be re-contextualised on the flip by Slowdawn, whose early morning pads cushion the same sample under sparkles of vibraphone. Based in Canada, Slowdawn recently caught the eye of Hardrock Striker and Jus Ed and will be releasing more music for the latter this coming year.

Flabaire, like Hardrock Striker, is a fellow Parisian who has been co-running D.KO Records since 2013. On Riders In The Sun Flabaire employs a latin-style beat with bounce, and psychedelic organ runs all at 110bpm before giving way to the B side opened up by Love Island. Better known as Michele Lamacchia and previously releasing on Skylax's sub label A Fistful Of Wax, Love Island makes use of old skool mix names on Love Connection (Afterhours Mix); the sorts of mix names that, upon seeing a tracklist, you skip to and indulge in warm, 'deep' facets sure to be found on anything suited for the Afterhours.

Closing the EP on the B3 is Sameed Alexander Rezayan who back in 2015 had his second release out on SKYLAX. His closer, See Ma Thing On You cuts up the funk and channels one of the many sounds of the Loft. Mancuso loved disco and championed rare cuts of the genre in the 70s and the house that sampled it in the 90s; an apt remembrance of a space now lost.

The Black Forest boys from Liquid Phonk deliver this decent summer jam 'In The End There Is A Smile', a beauty of a beach anthem, which received proper remix treatments by the maestros Lovebirds and Truccy aka Rainer Trueby and Corrado Bucci.

In its second venture into reissuing hidden gems of electronic music produced in Eastern Europe in the 20th Century, LITTLE BEAT DIFFERENT ISSUES focuses on the work of a Czech composer, musician and producer, Alexander Goldscheider. Born in Prague in 1950, Goldscheider started as a music orrespondent in New York in 1968/69, went onto reading Music at Charles University whilst continuing as a music critic and radio/club DJ, before becoming a record producer at the top Czech label, Supraphon. As a composer, he pioneered the use of synthesizers in his songs for major Czech pop/rock singers as well as in his own instrumental tracks. After moving to London in 1981, he first recorded two albums at the renowned Red Bus Studios, then proceeded to work at the legendary BBC Radiophonic Workshop, before co-founding and establishing Romantic Robot, a software and hardware design and manufacturing company which later moved into music recording and publishing. Of the many original products, THE MUSIC TYPEWRITER was ground-breaking software enabling the writing and printing of real notation on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Similarly TEREZÍN: THE MUSIC 1941-44 was the first ever release of CDs with music written in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp during World War II. Goldscheider's 1980s LPs THEMES FOR A ONE-MAN BAND Vol I & II reflect his work as a solo artist, always writing, recording and producing single-handedly. He had, though, a team of technical aficionados and inventors back in Prague, who adapted and developed his electronic music equipment incl. synthesizers, sequencers and even a Studer multitrack recorder, thus creating a revolutionary set-up, on par with the much later MIDI.This LP samples Alexander Goldscheider's music produced for records, films, TV and even an art exhibition in the space of 25 years starting from 1975.

In the making of her first Studio Barnhus record, veteran dj and world-travelling introvert Bella Boo divided time between bedroom studios in Ladbroke Grove and Hornstull, where she would hook up a dusty old Tanzbär, press record and sing straight into the laptop microphone over fuzzy r&b harmonics and snappy analog drums. The result is a collection of fascinating and fascinatingly groovy tracks, shuffling about with grace and vigour in the secret place where warm club music and introspective audio diaries meet to mingle.

Animals Dancing follow up their debut release with a fleshy three-track EP from Dude Energy, the latest project from LA's Diego Herrera (AKA Suzanne Kraft). His renowned sundrenched, west coast warmth is all but thrown out the window in this testosterone filled nocturnal emission. Come take a ride with Dude Energy on this throbbing tour de force.

Tom Dragebo is a Norwegian born Dj and Berlin Residential Producer whose love for techno and house music is infectious and radiates through every set he plays. Hailing from a small leafy town in Norway, Dragebo has been Djing for over 10 years and has been producing tracks since 2008. His latest release being the critically acclaimed So Good Ep on Cleanroom records. His emotive and powerful Debut for Full Pupp is a real Tech Treat well rounded by each a sparkling, driving PT Diskomiks and forcefully clapping and delicately swirling Prins Thomas pure Acid Rett i fletta versjon.

Wewillalwaysbealovesong is proud to welcome Lance D (Legwork) for his magnificent debut EP on the label. 'J Card (Acid Mix)' douses you in that nu-skool funk from the off, before releasing a gritty acid line transforming the track from funk to phhooarrr! The A2 sees Lance D offer up a well-polished disco tinged house cut heavy on the phaser, in the form of 'The Silicon Prairie'. On the flip 'London Town' takes a more minimal route drawing you in loop, after loop, after loop... before 'Towns Told Me So' goes deeeep complimenting brooding pads with an overdriven top line to wrap this e.p. up in style.

2018 starts w/ Wolfram. Maxi Single PP026 features 'Automatic Dub". Powerful Italo Disco that will heat up any given Dancefloor in no time. The original is accompanied by two remixes, courtesy of Samo DJ and Alexi3d. More subtle yet equally effective acid versions including dreamy vocal and stop/pause scat madness.
