For those of you wondering what Adesse Versions was doing at our Heist Boiler Room this summer in London, the answer is here. The "Push it along" EP for Heist is Adesse Versions first appearance on our label and features 4 stunningly raw and warm originals, and an amazing remix by New York's ambassador of funk: Ge-Ology, together with multi-instrumentalist Marc de Clive-Lowe on keys.
After having released numerous records for Jackmaster's Numbers, Local Talk and Toy Tonics, we're happy to welcome Adesse Versions to the Heist family. When he sent us his demo's we had the tough job to choose the right tracks, cause there were just too many. The selection on the "Push it along EP" features what we feel are his purest work up to date. With only a small amount of elements, he manages to create such a big and warm sound, finding a great balance between gritty percussion, rich analog synths and funky sampling work.
Opening track Tout it is built around an ever evolving arpeggiated synth, a dancehall-esque percussive riddim and lovely pad work. It builds up slowly, without ever becoming dull, changing small elements and adding momentum with each step.
E to E is based on a chopped vocal looped to bits (only shouting: (E, E, E, E, E..), dancing hihats and a rolling bassline, whereas Geology flips the high energy original into a classic deephouse tune that fans of Larry Heard will love. The steady bassline and trianglework form a perfect canvas for MdcL's work on various synths, adding layer after layer of melodrama.
The title track goes for the same recipe as Tout it, with fierce snares laying down the rhythm and a far away disco sample adding the right dose of funk. Ebony Roses is the final track of the EP: A beatless groove built around a spoken word vocal with dreamy piano work around it building up suspense as the track evolves.
We've been playing this EP over the course of the last few months and it's been getting great response, so we're happy to finally share it with you.

BRYAN KESSLER is not a musician, he is a force of nature. The young talent's refreshing perspective on electronic club music shows a love for powerful sounds that so many other producers are lacking these days.
Something that he was already able to proof on releases for Get Physical (remixed by DJ Hell), Coméme, Low Hanging Fruit and Like Records.
The release starts with YOU LOOK LIKE TRUNKS, a heavily driving, desert inspired piece that makes clear hat Kessler grew up in rock music. His second track VEGETA charges up with a red-glowing synth lead that eventually explodes in a wave of youngster mayhem. Teens are still doing it!The B side is dedicated to LUDWIG ZIBELL's remixes of both tracks that continue Kessler's energy with precision and warmth. His B1 remix releases a ock of tarantulas that set the clock to peak time, while B2 adds psychedelic loops to the drive of the original.
This is the fourth vinyl release of SUPERMOLL from Köln. Rooted somewhere between a Sound of Cologne egacy, german experimental Kraut attitudes and dirty acid vibes from oversea.

COEO are Toy Tonics' lead artists and they don't joke! Technically perfect on a level that most producers start to get jealous. Musically filled up with so much knowledge about the history of Disco and House that it's no wonder that big names like Kenny Dope, Borrowed Identity and Tensnake are huge fans. And their style... It's a pure hedonistic discoish attitude that combines the funk driven eclecticism of today, the curiosity of young music cats who always want to be ahead and a sense of QUALITY in music that we miss in so many of today's house music productions. In fact it's 2017 and a lot is changing in the House scene. The 'old' melancholic deep house now is quite dead - while most Deep House charts are filled up with sample based Funk House. COEO are regularly on the top of the several Deep House charts, and there is a reason: Their tracks have that kind of new, nasty, sexualised vibe that gets more inspired from the late 1990ies French touch house or early Masters at Work production. Marvin & Valentino started a project called 'Tambien' in collaboration with Munich based producer Bartellow from Munich. This is an official repress of the self-promoted 12 that came out in spring 2012. Three carefully selected tracks that got reinterpreted by the trio.

Tokyo tag-team Kei and Nagi Sugano, aka Dazzle Drums, have been responsible for secret weapons in the bags of some of the finest DJs since their debut in 2005. In addition to supporting Danny Krivit each time he plays in Tokyo, the duo periodically floats him exclusive edits to test out during his expansive sets. Two of these in particular have become regular features on M. K's dance floors, and it is these prime choices that have been selected for the latest release on Most Excellent Unlimited.Brothers Gonna Work It Out" takes the cinematic soul classic and toughens it up with a propulsive drum track and immaculate editing to extend and energize the already powerful tune. "Get Down Boy" is a relentlessly driving disco cut whose dramatic synth-and-string heavy instrumentation provides a plush bed for seductive female vocals before giving way to a tremendous bass break that is certain to leave dancers in a sweat.Reverently mastered and spread over a wide-grooved 12-inch single, it's another MEU sure-shot.

Another rare nugget culled from West Ends incredibly influential back catalog. "There's Never Been Someone Like You" is a smoothed out soulful Disco jam and a Paradise Garage classic! Produced by the mighty Kenton Nix whose credits include working on records for Taana Gardner, Gwen McCrae and The Treacherous Three among many others and featuring the exceptional vocal talents of underground Soul singer Bobby Youngblood.

Kenton Nix was something of a prodigious production talent who worked on numerous independent and major label projects and was a good friend of Larry Levan and had the honor of hearing his rough mixes and versions through the Paradise Garage sound-system which helped shape the end result of the records he was involved in. "There's Never Been Someone Like You" has always been a popular and sought after 12" among Disco / Boogie / Funk collecting aficionados since it's release nearly 34 years ago in 1980 and continues to be an influential record now in contemporary dance music. An utterly essential Disco-groove!

This is the very first time this record has been re-issued and this pressing features both the long "dance" version and shorter 7" mixes of the track just like the original pressing from 1980. It has been re-mastered and re-pressed with the permission of and in conjunction with West End Records, New York City.

Huge package from West End of exclusive or never before released versions of one of the highlights from their illustrious catalogue.... Arthur Russell's Loose Joints... Is It All Over My Face Kon (King Of Nothing!) sourced the original stems to completely re make the track utilising both the female and male vocal parts in his outstanding "Duet" mix.

While being a rare Patrick Adams and Billy Nichols production, Mary Clark's 'Take me I'm Yours' has in recent years become one of the most celebrated Disco tracks by contemporary Deejays.

This borderline Gospel-Disco Gem has all the elements of a timeless Disco Cut; a driving bass line, powefully arranged strings and horns, but most importantly, a very soulful performance by Mary Clark.
Like many of Peter Brown's 'affliate' labels, little is known about them or the artists recorded. Originaly released in 1980 on 'La Shawn', it is rumored to have been no more than 200 records originally pressed, making this one of the most sought 12 inches among collectors.

However Leave it to someone like Dimitri from Paris who edited and included 'Take me i'm yours' on his 'The Kings Of Disco' compilation from 2004 to give this virtualy unknown song a new life and a whole new audience. Even as recently as last year, Mary Clark's song of 'devotion' made it's way into a BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, courtesy of Floating Points, and frankly, there's probably not a bigger audience than that.

For its seventh offering, Sol Power Sound taps into the pulse of the French Antilles for Tambours de Martinique, a blistering EP of original and remixed versions of rare, drum-centric dance floor workouts. Licensed directly from the legendary Martiniquan label Hibiscus Records, the EP features cuts by Eugène Mona and Max Ransay, two of Martinique's most storied musicians. With reworks by Spanish DJ and producer Kiko Navarro and the Sol Power All-Stars, this one will be in the record bags of discerning DJs all summer long.

The A side features 'Lizo' by Eugène Mona, an essential figure in the folkloric music of Martinique based on the bamboo flute, bèlè drums, and the island's specific variant of Antillean creole. Lizo was originally released in 1990 on Mona's Blanc Mangé Blan Manjé LP and is anchored by frenetic percussion, a driving bassline, and house-evocative key stabs. Kiko Navarro's remix takes an already dynamic cut to deep Afro-space with thumping drums and a bubbling synth-bass groove that will put dancers through their paces.

With its powerful combo of urgent brass and ensemble vocals, Max Ransay's 1988 recording of the traditional Martiniquan folk song 'Ti Kanno' fills the B-side. 'Ti Kanno' was previously recorded by Ti Émile, Ransay and Mona's legendary forebear. Full of surprises, Ransay's version is a sonic melting pot of hand percussion, horns, unexpected synth lines, and bass. The Sol Power All-Stars edit fills out the low-end thump and teases out the groove for maximum impact.

A very expected release is finally unveiled, cold colors new ep 'leave this world behind'. this one-man project is without any kind of doubt one of the leading synthwave acts of france, frédérick barbe proved himself as a truly master into create hypnotic soundscapes on his fully analog recordings. 'leave this world behind' represents his fourth ep and again shows us what 'minimal melodic synth' music should be; perfect bass sequences, clear drum stems and that catchy cold colors pads. all tracks mastered and remastered specially for vinyl by eric van wonterghem at prodam studio (berlin).

Earthboogie's debut album, Human Call, rightly earned praise on its release earlier in the year, with listeners responding positively to its sticky and humid dancefoor fusions of African and South American rhythms, chunky dub disco, retro-futurist house,
spacey analogue electronics and sun-kissed Balearica. Hot on the heels of that release, Leng Records has sourced new remixes of two album highlights - 'High Minded Man' and 'Silken Moon' - from Running Back label boss Gerd Janson and synthesizer-wielding Balearic boogie stalwart Pete Herbert.
It's Janson who steps up frst, offering up two total overhauls of 'High Minded Man' that re-cast the undulating, Afro-fred original as a dreamy, drum machine-driven chunks of vintage deep house goodness. Where Earthboogie's album version bobbed
and weaved around horns and live bass, Janson's Deep House Mix places the duo's original chanted vocals above a bouncy, polyrhythmic rhythm track, Larry Heard style chords, Kwaito-esque electronic bleeps and a smooth, soul-stroking bassline. Janson's
Deep House Dub, which strips out the vocal for a more sparse and ethereal listening experience, is also included on the EP.
The EP's other remix comes from sometime Reverso 68 member Pete Herbert, who gets his mitts on previous single 'Silken Moon'. While he retains some key elements from Earthboogie's original - specifcally the vocals, Afro guitars and house stabs - he
naturally adds a little of his own rubbery electronic disco favour via spacey synthesizer fourishes and a massive electronic bassline that brilliantly tracks the rising and falling
movement of the main melody. It has the feel of a terrace anthem in the making.

REPRESSED !! 1990s style house from Chicago's GLENN UNDERGROUND with a lush hook spoken by BIG ED of BBN. This is basically GLENN's vision of the 90s house sound.

Hell Yeah is back with more beach ready and boat party styled summer tunes, this time from Riccio. This Italian producer has long been making essential edits, off kilter grooves and soul kissed house sounds that demand to be played loud and these new ones are no different.

Described by the label boss as Balearic Big Beat, this EP kicks off with Afro Chemy, a scorching seven minute tune that builds on a bed of fat drums. The scattered percussion is loose and organic and when the funky bass and colourful xylophone sounds comes in you can't help but cut loose. Add in a sexy trumpet line and you have the sound of summer distilled into seven sensational minutes.

Funky Cave will get any party started with its old school drum breaks and cymbal splashes sounding like the ocean when you plunge in on a hot day. Busted bass lines add a certain fatness and cosmic keys and steamy guitar licks make this another perfect outdoor anthem.

Last of all is the blissed out Heather, one to drop at sundown after a long day's dancing. The beats are warm and lumpy, the synths smear out to the horizon like gently breaking waves and soulful leads really get your heart swelling. Proper.

Whiskey Disco welcomes back label boss Sleazy McQueen and A&R Pontchartrain alongside newcomer, The Rejected.

Now, these tracks do one thing: they are meant for the club and in the club they should stay. A somewhat sweaty enviroment, like 150 people and a good analog soundsystem... something along those lines. The aim is at a real track-y, immediate vibe - without diving too deep to the autistic side of disco edits. Headed by a Carioca who was blessed with the name of his own city, MooDisco contains a 3-track bomb from Leo Janeiro with DOC label boss Gui Boratto and a very special remix by French act Rodriguez Jr.

This could just be a happy coincidence, were it's not for the fact that Leo's trajectory made him a protagonist of the electronic music scene in his hometown, Rio de Janeiro. He built a career dedicated to music. In a city with so many daytime attractions, it is the night and electronic music that has been blessed with his talent. He has compiled an impressive list of residencies and performances globally. Known as one of the ambassadors for Brazilian electronic music, Leo has the ability to combine originality to a universal language. Just like his hometown.

On this limited edition vinyl and digital release, Leo Janeiro, Gui Boratto and Rodriguez Jr. presents a serious track sequence of techno and house beats. Each artist has kept its own trademark. 'I had a lot of ideas and one of them was to have a remix by an artist that I admire, respect and have a personal relationship', says Leo Janeiro.

Rodriguez Jr. (Oliver Mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for MooDisco. He is the one half of French electro act The Youngsters - best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier's label. Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu's musical psyche; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains. A perfect blend for this project.

His production partner Phillip Lauer forms part of Tuff City Kids and Black Spuma, who have also released on International Feel, with a style that fuses the rhythms of house music with bold melodies to form structured songs. The result is music that can sit comfortably in many worlds.

Mark Barrott started out in the mid 90's as Future Loop Foundation and since has composed music for numerous films & TV shows and founded one of the world's leading music consultancies. His highly-respected International Feel label has featured albums from the likes of DJ Harvey and Jose Padilla, with a huge portion of the releases dedicated to Barrott's own anonymous pseudonyms. Barrott's Sketches from an Island project has gained support from Pitchfork, the Fader, the Guardian and even the Financial Times for its bold and quirky take on Balearic music.

The three of them form an exhilarating partnership in Talamanca System and this EP gives a snapshot into their forthcoming album due to be released on International Feel in May 2017.

Expect house from the melancholy to the roughed up variety, live drums & breaks, and some beautiful dubby atmospherics.
All this to say, there's no set rules here, just good music from good friends, and hopefully a little something for everyone inside :)

For their first artist EP, Super Tuff revs up four tracks of high-octane house music from Marcel Lune. Fresh off of an impressive LP for Local Talk, the UK up-and-comer again proves a knack for effective and subtle productions. The A side sets the mood with "Moon Sequence," a lush tune that builds to a cinematic climax. He settles into his groove with "You Can Do It!" a four-to-the-floor piano jam sprinkled with wonky synthesizers. On the B-side, Lune finds himself unhinged on the open road with "Unknownz" offering up a live drum groove drenched in bright synth stabs and triumphant string melodies. Finishing the B-side, "Sun" is all shuffled claps and peppy synthesizers that evoke the warm feeling of a sunrise after a long night out.

Appearing on record together for the first time, Norway's premier disco troop have cooked up a double-pack dancefloor attack for your listening pleasure. Digging through their extensive collections of well-loved wax, Terje & the gang have specially selected a quartet of disco classics ripe for a remake. Forget re-edits though, this is 'The Big Cover Up' and the Olsen crew have hit the studio with all guns blazing on this wild version excursion.

Our journey starts in Tokyo with a 303 driven take on Yellow Magic Orchestra's version of Martin Denny's 'Firecracker'. The perfect combination of cocktail exotica and disco kitsch, this party pyrotechnic is reloaded with buoyant acid and beefed up bass, accelerating through Eastern guitar licks and operatic vocals before filling the night sky with an explosion of colour. Falling somewhere between the Swingle inspired New Mjondalen Disco Swingers and Yello's 'Oh Yeah'' the A2 remake of the enduring 'Disco Circus' puts the vocals at the forefront, locking us into a tribal trance state with its hypnotic rhythms before the roving electrodisco bassline triggers the warp drive and blasts us away. On the B1, the 'B' stands for Boney, as Terje & The Olsen's give 'Do You Wanna Bump' a bright and brassy make over perfect for cocktails and caviar on a Mediterranean yacht. Drum breaks, bass and dub delay - what more could you want While we're in the Med, we make a trip to Greece with a sleek and slick spy flick remake of Vangelis' stunning 'La Fete Sauvage'. Island hopping guitar dances around planet swapping synth before an extended space disco outro leaves us orbiting the mirror ball in dizzy euphoria.

Disc two is all about the dark room as Todd flips through his remix Rolodex and recruits some demolition experts keen on club destruction. The C-side finds Mexican maverick Daniel Maloso takes the lead with a synthed up club dub of 'Do You Wanna Bump' before Idjut Boy Dan Tyler brings the power cosmic on his spaced out version of 'Firecracker'. Meanwhile on the flip Full Pupp impresario and gourmet Goulash chef Prins Thomas pays tribute to 'Whole Lotta Love' with a full throttle remix of 'La Fete Sauvage' while fellow Norwegian Oyvind Morken fires up the 808 on a percussive house mix of 'Disco Circus'.

The Opener Hyena's laugh could be Wally and Larry jamming with the locals on Kong Island. Senoi takes you on the back of a pick up truck and transports you from the coastal town and out onto the dusty tracks and into the night for a ride through the jungle and onto the other side. 10th day is all about cocktails by the infinity pool in the secret resort and soaking up that late afternoon sun. Kuai can Che is all Twilight era Maze tougher drums and chimes with those floaty synths. Seeing us out is final cut Kopiek lying back on the boat as you leave the island and it all becomes a tiny dot on the horizon...Float on.. file under Tropical, Balearic, beach sounds...
