Borneo Records celebrates its return with four Italo bangers, by none other than the infamous Professor Genius also known as Jorge Velez.
The A side of this EP explores the sunny side of life with two lush melodic gems, where as the B side delivers two bass driven dance floor killers.

The Boogie Twins aka Ashley Beedle and Ray Mang have reworked and edited one of Paul 'Trouble' Anderson's biggest signature tracks.

We loved going to the Electric Ballroom to see the legendary Paul 'Trouble' Anderson who was killing it in there with Boogie, Electro, Hip Hop and Disco - he was such a huge musical influencer.
When he dropped 'Heaven and Earth' in the mid 80's, the joint went ballistic.

That tune ruled London and became not only a rare groove classic but remains a much loved staple of today's club scene - all because of Paul's exceptional ear for music.

„Paradiso Analogico“ is the first release on Bungalo Disco, run by Brutalo & Italo, who synchronized to create their own multi sensual universe.
10 years ago the original version has been the starting shot of Italo Brutalo.


One decade later, three of the best producers turned the song into 2020´s spirit. Ali Renault squeezes out the dark side of the track by adding some vocals and acid lines. Balearic master Ilya Santana shows why he´s one of the leading artists when it comes to cosmic disco. Slow Motion Records Head Franz Scala delivers a sure shot to hit the dancefloor.

Kazahaya welds together Ain't No Mountain with Let Me Down Easy for an intense high tempo disco workout.

Side B - Forever
A midtempo soul workout on the flip, perfect end of night fodder. Kazahaya takes a slept on Casablanca classic and moulds it into a heavy modern soul wonder.

Five new, certified-gold disco gems from the Schatzi R&D department in Brooklyn, New York. A loving collection of throwback boogies that glimmer with a bygone era's ballroom glitz and lovey-dovey romance, that is the stuff of dancefloor love stories.

Roy Comanchero (Running Back, Japan) 'Moon Hike' welcomes us to Kansai International Airport, where the local time is shortly after midnight. It's gradual, introspective pulse rejuvenates the listener after a long trip and prepares you for the night ahead. Nicolette Larson's 'Lotta Love' has long been a sought after jam, with the promo only 12" version changing hands for big dough!
Mixed by the legendary Florida born and NYC dwelling mixer and DJ extraordinaire Jim Burgess, this one straddles that gorgeous line of being a bit Rock (Neil Young wrote the track) and totally Disco in all the right ways. A truly sweet slice of music here backed with a nice cover of Sam Cooke's classic standard 'You send me'.

Often bootlegged, there's been some shoddy facsimiles kicking around over the years this high quality, official, 100% legit reissue has been lovingly remastered by Above Board distribution in conjunction with Warner Brothers from the master tapes. Hit-maker Mind Enterprises is back with a new mini album with new and previously released singles and remixes.
The release is a collection of the artist’s recent singles including the acclaimed and Shortlist Magazine’s top 50 singles of 2017 ‘Idol’, plus ‘Gemini’ and ‘S.H.A.K.E’, which together with current new track ‘Monogamy’ marks the unveiling of an electrifying new sound.
Obsessed with vintage synthesisers and 80s beats, Mind Enterprises (aka Andrea Tirone) has created a sound which is somehow both forward thinking and nostalgic at the same time. Think Italo Disco meets retro dance, with razor sharp modern production, and you’re half-way there. ‘Monogamy’, coupled with it’s 80s style VHS video is designed to make your feet move and your heart long for simpler times. Its irresistible groove and disjointed vocals are as instant as they are idiosyncratic.

The sweet and funky side of the Constant Sound empire is back for a third bout. Cardiology deals in the finest disco edits and deep house delights for soul-centric groovers, and so it continues with this sure-footed 12" from The Owl. "Soul on Fire" is an appropriate title for the lead track, which keeps the vibe sizzling throughout with a strictly managed dose of Philly disco magic. "Universal Funk" takes things more upfront, but still those drops hold just enough back to keep the track utterly cool. "Funk Town" gets wild on the filter with the core sample hook before dropping some sassy bass and bongo heat at the track's apex. "Concrete Soul" completes the picture with a wistful choice in samples and the nastiest b-line on the whole record.

Banoffee Pies Records return to their original white label imprint for another limited EP with BP003. TIP. Again the Bristol label continue to compile artists and styles from all over following there no f***s given approach.
The one sided A1 heavily samples a drum solo from the blockbuster film of 2015 Whiplash, a strung out track filled with space and delicate percussion. Jaffa Surfas B1 provides a mid way techno break pumped with analog sounds and a swirling kick throughout. To end, the finely unearthed and re-issued B2 edit closes this diverse release with a bang offering something completely different. Rolling jazz feelings for the dance floor. More love for the Banoffee people.

Launched in 2018 with two first EPs, Broken District continues to explore alternative music styles with the third instalment of its VA series.

The label's territory here expands to Jazz & Soul-influenced electronic music landscapes, with productions from Turbojazz, Setwun, Leon Revol, Duktus and the label's co-founders Jus Jam and Momla.

Ben Gomori delivers another two carefully-crafted reworks for Sterns Edits, both tried and tested to ensure maximum dancefloor impact.

Guinean guitar master Djessou Mory Kante's blistering style makes for propulsive dancefloor material when paired with a chunked-up house rhythm, with Gomori utilising the stems available to add subtle FX trickery to the intricate melodics of the original. The whole affair builds and rolls in incessant fashion, with another riveting bassline mirroring and counterbalancing the main motifs.

The wild sounds of Senagelese legends Orchestra Baobab's nine-minute-odyssey 'Sibou Odia' is a formidable piece of work that shows the band's stunning musicianship in fine style. With only the original track to work from and no stems, Gomori hones in on the sections where the groove is dominant and the raucous solos potently cut through. The skanking rhythms are intact, with a huge bassline pushing the proceedings forward throughout.

Before Christ is a new project from Craig Christon and Bonar Bradberry. Remix maestros Mushrooms Project take on both tracks. First up Barry's K is a moody brooding chuggy basement Jam with ethnic melody and dubby effects. The mighty Italians mellow out the groove and extend adding all there trademarks touches.Uh!. The second track is Tuesday Club is a techy machine funk bomb with shades of New Beat and a nod to Forgemasters. The Mushrooms boys bring the acid and soft melodic pads turning this into a dreamy heads down groover.

Following their much acclaimed and loved debut album Confident Music for Confident People Confidence Man returned at the end of last year sounding like Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder gleefully discovering house music via Dee-lite with a brand-new track Does It Make You Feel Good?

Talking about the Greg Wilson & Ché Wilson remix Confidence Man said:

“When you work with a father son duo this talented and this god damn good looking you know good things will happen. They’ve got twice the brains and a multi-generational love for bangers. Greg and Che have taken the track to outer space and left it in Jupiter’s orbit for a while it’s always nice to expand the journey.”

Moff & Tarkin's second Lagaffe installment marks the label's 8th vinyl release. The release sports three original tracks from the Austrian-based Icelander and a remix from label boss Jonbjorn.

The record starts of with the track 'Buzz Lightyear', who flies us off out of the atmosphere filled beginning into the depths of the spacey synths, delays and feedback.

Followed is the track 'Friends Be like', which feels like a refreshing strut down the boulevard where everyone you meet knows you and you know them but instead of saying hello you are wearing headphones and just strut down the street nodding, winking and walking in beat with true swagger. A track with confidence written all over it.

The flip side features the track 'Takk!' which roughly translates as Thank You! in Icelandic. Maybe not roughly, but rather exactly. The track is dramatic and starts off rather stress inducing but takes a whole new direction when Moff n Tarkin adds in soothing piano chords and makes the track's whole mood switch.

Maybe its a fitting goodbye for the listener as you make your way through label boss Jonbjorn's remix which has a very warm and feel good atmosphere, lush drums and elements that add on layers to the already great original. A very personal remix and a good ending to a great record that we hope you can enjoy.

V & B

Phonk D lands on Exploited with a takeover of their now-legendary Black Jukebox series. Serving up 4 killer dancefloor cuts, he’s got the weapons you need for the months ahead.

The supremely funky ‘Work Dance’ makes great use of dramatic horn blasts as off-beat bass pumps and stomps all over the place. Twanging guitars licks accentuate the groove further. Chunky drum fills punctuate the rhythms and tumbling congas keep things rolling as vocal cuts command you to ‘dance!’

Head directly to ‘Facelift’ for some glorious strings, cascading romantically over snappy ‘90s house vibe beats. Undulating bass perfectly complements these cute motifs, making for a track that falls somewhere between ‘sorrowful’ and ‘triumphant’ on the mood board. Throw in some glistening harp scales and you’ve got yourself a winner.

‘Never Walked Away’ is a tense stomper that focuses around a filtering soul vocal loop with some sustained strings cooked into it. The shuffling beats and relentless bass are supporting by detuned piano chords, increasing the hypnotically looping feel.

‘Get Ready’ teases with more warped piano before unleashing a loose funk b-line and dubby vocal snippets. Sweet guitar licks weave around the slinky bassline, this understated track making a deep and balmy finale for this great EP.

Hot on the heels of his archival-launch of European Carryall, Telephones delivers a brand new (or is it really?) heavy double A-side club 12". Kicking off with "Multiverse (Pacific Mix)", an energetic basement-flux of UK garage, detroit techno and balearic blessed with live zither-recordings and stardust-sprinkles by fellow countrywoman A'KARI - ensuring the zen of your late-nite spaceout. Flip wax for the the prime-time house-stomper "Turbofutúr (Atlantic Mix)", nodding it's head to the mid-90s footprint left by DJ Duke, Power Music and Strictly Rhythm.. albeit with an unmistakably Norwegian euphoric disco-fling lurking beeeehind the groove. Another essential for the true heads!

Another rare gem from Record Shack gets its first officially licensed 12” release – the absolutely killer early ‘80s jazz funk tinged, boogie bomb from The Oceans – ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’, fully remastered for maximum audio pleasure.

With the release only ever being a whitelabel there was much confusion over the correct titling due to the stamp simply stating ‘Pacific Dream’, however the actual track titles are those housed on this release - ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’ and the instrumental ‘Synth Good Guy’.

Those original whitelabels command prices of up to £120 and it’s no surprise when you hear those infectious guitar riffs blended with buoyant synth flurries and sensuous vocal harmonies. For those that would rather leave the vocals at bay, the B side houses the instrumental mix in all it's glory.

A radiant release that still sparkles as bright as it did back in 1980 – an essential buy!

Bartellow has long been associated with the ESP Institute though Tambien, a trio formed alongside Bavarian cohorts Marvin and Valentino, who have released seminal dancefloor material over recent years. With his debut album Panokorama, we are invited into a completely different world of Bartellow's creation—a place where influences become a melting pot of mood, nuance and texture, and where instrumentation is abstracted from a variety of cultures, including those that exist solely within his imagination. Bartellow has found a way to merge Primitivism with Retrofuturism, identifying their point of intersection and reveling in their union across ten songs. While his academic background as a Jazz musician certainly informs both his progressive approach to composition and non-linear production, it is his obsession with electronics and synthesis that shape his current musical climate. The title Panokorama stems from Bartellow's visualization of the album, a surreal landscape with a foreign presence centrally embedded, a 'panorama' punctuated by a 'ko'—although a hybrid word that reads as nonsense, it somehow feels and sounds just right.

Justin Strauss and Max Pask have joined up to form the new project Each Other, who will release their self-titled debut EP ‘Be Nice To Each Other’ on February 7th, 2020 via Soulwax/2manydjs label DEEWEE. While Strauss and Pask have DJ’d together on numerous occasions, this is the first time that they’ve collaborated on a production project.

The EP finds Each Other creating an eclectic range of sounds in the space of just three tracks. The opener ‘Same As It Never Was’ is the most immediate of the set, becoming more hypnotic as the minimalist topline buries itself into your subconscious. The downtempo ‘Burn It Down’ then darkens the mood, feeling closer to a dystopian sci-fi soundtrack than an underground club classic, before the playful and progressive ‘Six Weeks’ up the energy with jittering beats, sparkling synths and a cooly understated vocal.

“What we were trying to do and what we’ve hopefully achieved was to merge our influences with a nod to what many consider to be the ‘golden age’ of New York,” explains Justin Strauss. “You don’t realise that these periods were becoming important markers in history when we were living through them. It only comes later with the added benefit of time. I hope that in years to come, history will find a place for what we’re doing now” - Each Other.

As with all DEEWEE releases, ‘Be Nice To Each Other’ was recorded produced and mixed at DEEWEE.

As we descend into winter and the end of 2019, an EP that, like the shorter, overcast days, is chilly and stark, yet accented with rays of sun that crack through the clouds, glints of starlight, full-moon rises.

These five tracks—six for the digital version—come from Eluize, a Berlin-based Australian gifted at simmering minimal yet acerbic house potions over low heat, patiently coaxing them to a slow boil. Mischievous, creeping concoctions that approach and build sneakily, as layer upon layer is looped, expanded, condensed, dropped out, and slid back in. Each is a beautifully musical piece, too, with as much evolving melody as hypnotizing groove.

An LPH soundtrack for nights that stretch on forever, lit only by blinking lights that break apart seas of heavy fog and slice between silhouetted bodies.

Inviting slow disco and spaced out ambient characterizes this new material from Golden Bug and In Fields on their collaboration-album ”Vibration Métallique”. Golden Bugs kind of extrovert and electronic sound is recognizable from his previous 7” release on Höga Nord Rekords and together with In Fields it gets dressed in a fluffier costume.

This album is the result of two persons with tons of respect for one another musically, two musicians who have been floating past and sometimes in two each others projects for the last couple of years. Their musical roots In ”Leftfield land” intertwine and reaches up above ground, connecting to different musical stems and holds together the sound; like sightseeing in a familiar town this album has outer limits but as unpredictable as the city can be, this record surprises you from one track to the other.

The album has a springtime feel to it in all it's brightness, but suddenly it shifts shape in a song like ”Lush”, picked straight from the factory floor. This album is both a standoff and a board meeting in electronic music. Golden Bugs metallic excentricity meeting with In Fields darkness and live feel creates an unpredictability and the music goes on an exploratory trip far away!

Rune's ever dependable Drum Island return for a new decade with a life-affirming celebration of the sunset moments which underpin his always excellent output.
Hierbas has been causing euphoric dancefloor moments for a handful of selectors for over a year, but it's now - as the nights bristle with cold air - that we receive this warming hug of a track, a brief window into the promise of summer, the freedom of letting loose outdoors, and then basking in the glow of love with the celebratory chug of 'Mina Musica' and transcendent 'San Augustin'

Digging in the vaults for those lesser spotted gems, the PBR crew have tweaked up 2 absolute Tom Moulton related killers here for our enjoyment. Side A is a finely tuned, lovingly fondled version of David Christie's LP cut 'Back Fire' from 1978. A sleazy, almost Euro feeling good timer that does the biz. On the flip, is the Destroyers mammoth 'Lectric Love', another lowdown cruiser of a track, nice cosmic FX and leather vibes for the late night prowl! Both edits are brilliantly done, and with a knowing and respectful nod too, one for the heads right here.

Suha's "Hora EP" consists of organic bodies composed by an electronic mind.
On his first release on The Magic Movement, the emerging electronic musician from Istanbul imagines a three-track story: The mythical figures - Hermes and Hezarfen - are in search of a unified space named Hora above variant timelines.

Under the arabesque shadow of occidental chords and oriental strings, the EPs multi-layered tracks take you on a cosmic flight: Folkloric dance elements build up progressively over a driving rhythm while Suha's ethereal vocals flow alongside old chants. Massive brass and gritty 70's synths accompany ancestral lyrics that herald of unknown realities soon to be realised.

The EP is produced and mixed by label head-honcho Noema, whose magical touch reflects through well-thought arrangements of Suha's compositions and their powerful sound.

After the soft landing of Banoffee Pies Records latest sub label venture OTAKU, the imprint continues following the theme of subtle compositions with the second edition, this time from Swedish born Vilhelm with 'Mermaid Porn'. A five tracker starting with an aquatic feeling on the title track 'Mermaid Porn' with bubbling effects rolling into the A2. entitled 'Kirchner' with more with positive and patient melodies. Standing to attention in the spaceships cafeteria, the A side comes to a close with 'Always In Costume'. The B side opens with 'Saturday Bossa' - drums inspired by the Brazilian music wave of Bossa Jazz with a slight twist.
