The fast track to long lasting electronic prowess begins with Fasme “Crying Robots” a fusion of atmosphere, permeating pad emotions, electro and even some breaks layers all serenaded by choice bits of dialogue and analogue phone dials and full of stimulating style. Navigation continues with CCO “Solar Sail” where ominous waves of percussion driven House prevail, beneath moody analogue acid basslines heavier than whales, while its chords leave the listener in a hypnotic groove spell.

We continue to fill your cup of tea on side B adding the nutritious ingredients from the mysterious duo UNWONTED with “Frontier”; it's an all out electrofunk affair, punchy and layered with sharp claps, dark dialogues, and an ice cold acid marinated bassline that will heat up the dance floors when it attacks.

The Ep concludes with Serge Geyzel “Flash” a photographic listening experience into relentless electrobass full of atmosphere, fine highs in sonic experimentation, and a doomsday bassline that bangs the speakers and your mind.

"No Input" is the debut eponymous EP by the electronic duo composed by the Palestinian modular synthesis artist Karim Atari, and the Italian electronic music producer and co-founder of Abu Recordings, boyjayne.

The 20-minute EP features an eclectic mix of acid, electro and downtempo dub techno inspired by the likes of Drexciya, Filmmaker, and E.R.P. With this EP, No Input sought out to make distinctive high-energy tracks for the dance floor. Their approach combines modular synthesis and sample manipulation techniques, creating a sound that is at once reminiscent of classic techno and electro and unpredictable in its novel reinterpretation.

This is a limited print with each copy featuring a different handmade artwork on the center.

Brazil's Zopelar continues to make stellar underground dance music and as a result, Techno House Connoisseurs has another hit record on their hands. He launches with FalaSerio into the acid jazz breakbeat stratosphere and doesn't look back as the track weaves, skips, jumps and floats...all with crisp hi's and acid distorting throughout. 808 Dream is exactly as it sounds, mezmerizing, quirky and jacking. Pads warp and drift but not too far, all while the acid worms into your head for that early am mind f*ck. Acid 1 is the peak hour monster that is set to demolish even the most discerning dancefloor. Relentless and unwavering, it's an all out onslaught of acid squelching, percussionistic chaos. This track is not to be denied and will have the walls sweating. Lastly, Zopelar and fellow Brazilain artist RHR collide to deliver an epic acid techno driver in Acid Republic. Hunee, aka Hun Choi, is a Korean Berliner who has been drawn in music since a very young age. After working in record stores and studying musicology he resided in Amsterdam, where he released his debut album Hunch Music. As a DJ he has always followed 'a hunch', which gave him wings to communicate the music he loves with crowds all over the world. With Hunchin' All Night, Hunee expresses his relationship with the dance floor.

For the flip side of the record, Omar (UY), who's already dropped some heat on the label, is back with two tracks. The first one hits you with some bass variations and hypnotic vocals, plus some slick drum work and background melodies. The second one is a tool track with dark sounds.

The A side is jam packed with 3 uptempo tech-prog-chug goodness featuring Eora Nation based up and comer Mtty, label head Jad & The, and a re-issue of Pocket’s timeless “Smoke Signals” previously released via Australia’s seminal “Thunk” Recordings in the year 2000.

On the flip the tempo is slowed but Australian DJs DJ Relax and Local Support deliver arguably the finest moments on the record - broken beat Balearic badness in the best way, hell yeah!

Following outings on Slump, Hâws & Schimmer, mpeg makes his Semi-Delicious bow with an all killer, no filler collection of acidic tinged, progressive bombs.

The release kicks off with the hypnotic ‘I Do Me’. The track rolls effortlessly into a crescendo of synthetic stabs, panning acid and a throbbing bass fit for Goa. Starting off with a bang, we roll into the breakbeat inflected ‘Kotanyi’. We’re treated to more psychedelic, progressive goodness with a slightly more brooding tone. Subtle keys lighten the track’s final stanza giving it serious sunrise set potential. B1 gives us the colourful ‘Thanks For Calling’. Swirling bleeps and descending acid lines contrast the records balearic sensibilities setting the tone nicely for the Ice Cream side of Semi Delicious’ 13th outing. ‘You Do You’ brings with it broken beats, a top line akin to golden era Italian house and more citrus-y undertones that characterise the record. ‘Shapeshifter’ wraps up the affair with a bang employing an almost speed garage-esque low end below the psychedelic symphony of extraterrestrial sonics dancing above.

Classic Original mix (Remastered) + 4 (!) long Ricardo Villalobos Remixes All
Get Physical's 16th year continues to serve up plenty of excellent and exciting new music with this, an EP full of mesmeric remixes from the one and only Ricardo Villalobos. The source material here is the classic 'We Are Phuture' by pioneering Chicago acid outfit, Phuture. The original is included in specially remastered form and the Chilean minimal techno hero serves up four of his own unique versions. Ricardo has been remixing for this label for well over a decade and just last year his 'Hauswiedermischung' version of Reboot's 'Are You Losing My Mind' was one of the standout tracks of Get Physicals´s oeuvre. The original is an abrasive and jittery house track that bristles with frazzled synths, dark filtered vocals, acid twitches and coarse percussion. It's one to electrify the floor, and still does plenty of damage 20 years after it first came out on Trax. Up first is Phutur I Remix, which strips everything away to leave a fluttering snare line, rubber drums and minimal synth that shapeshifts for nearly ten minutes. Add in some trademark Villalobos vocals that are alien and unsettling and you have a real classic in the making. The Phutur II Remix is busier, with deft drums that ride up and down and have a spoken word vocal floating up top. Alien sound designs and occult acid all join the mix later on, while Phutur III sits somewhere in between.

2022 Repress

3AM Spares is a new collection of Australian Electronic Dance Music compiled Andras and Instant Peterson that encompasses the darker sounds and later nights of the 1990s and beyond. Following on from forerunner compilation Midnite Spares, this double LP draws from local 12 releases, CDRs and the archives of community radio station 3RRR FM to make a diverse and pumping scene audible once more. No longer confined to beer barns and back rooms, this generation of producers, DJs, clubbers and ravers spilled out into pavilions, warehouses and paddocks, embracing a new culture of machine-metaphor and chemical love. Future Sound of Melbourne's warehouse triptych Resist The Beat embodies a time when the country's youth united with juggernaut stamina, partying beyond the long arm of the law. Restored from the ARIA award-winning trio's original DATs, this debut 12 incited label offers from Jeff Mills, Frank De Wulf and Carl Cox. Released by the likes of Clan Analogue, Creative Vibes, Volition, DanceNet, Juice and Psy-Harmonics, this era's material has evaded sufficient digital documentation until now, some lost in the decommission of Angelfire, Tripod and Geocities websites. Often these bedroom experiments and one-off collaborations existed solely for compilation inclusions, a plausible scenario for the mysterious Inner Harmony.

Shortly after Arnic's debut on the imprint, Tresydos is back for its second EP of 2023 with another fresh talent. Signed by Italian artist Deyayu, "A Taste Of Intelligence" showcases Alessandro's colourful, deeply cosmic productions. Seamlessly blending elements reminiscent of house, trance, breaks, garage and dub, Deyayu's 4-tracker gathers a versatile collection of contemporary house music drenched in feeling and groove that sits superbly within the evergrowing catalogue of Tresydos.

While the EP's A-side is drizzled in interstellar melodies, chunky basslines and bleepy warm textures, its B-side ventures into jazzier territory with "film noir" undertones where syncopated and funky drum programming perfectly complement the bouncy bass and tumbling synth leads. At the vanguard of Greek electronic music, Anatolian Weapons, an alias of Aggelos Baltas, has garnered praise from the likes of Lena Willikens and RA. This is a deliberately dancefloor oriented release, with a host of longacid laced tracks, and some surprises. The titles offer a subtle nod to a recently passed DJ and polymath, and the remixes give a fresh feelto Aggelos' tracks, with Serbian selector AASKA and Coma World on duty.

Protectorate is The Analogue Cops project focused on deep minimal sound and characterized by mental dance music. Protectorate productions are appreciated and played by artists such as Villalobos, Zip, Lutz, Francesco del Garda and Tanaka to name a few.

Amsterdam's Locked-In imprint continues its hot streak with LKDNV07, a four-track EP by Offenbach's Tom Ries titled "Comeback Kid." This release showcases Ries' talent for crafting immersive, emotionally charged house narratives.

The title track sets a warm, rolling groove with organic percussion and lush synths, creating a hypnotic late-night vibe. "Deepfried Diversion" blends soulful keys with driving rhythms for a true dancefloor odyssey.

On the B-side, "One Eighty" combines classic house sensibilities with modern flair, featuring an undulating bassline and ethereal melodies. The EP concludes with "Rieses Pieces," a transcendent exploration of pure groove with interlocking rhythms and euphoric breakdowns.

Long-time friend of the label Fader Cap returns to Butter Sessions with a potent four-track EP 'Blue Pool'. First appearing as Sedgwick on our 10 years of BSR compilation, Fader Cap has since released music on Craigie Knows and his own Straight 2 It Recordings.


Connecting the dots between progressive house and techno, the four tracks on 'Blue Pool' maintain an infectious energy, with pumping drums and plenty of space for contemplative synth work to keep the body moving and brain tingling. The rolling, dub-wise basslines set the foundations for intricate sound design and tripped-out sequences that provide that sweet head high we're chasing. Let your mind wander as you float away into the blue pool.

For this 5th delivery from Mephis, label boss Alfalfa shares with us a nostalgic and dystopian interpretation of his migratory experience in a sonic format. Imagine Kafka fidgeting with a 303 in a waiting room, with a happy ending.

From House To Disco is a hotly tipped all-female duo known for their fine taste in records, in-depth research into house history and fresh productions. They have been tipped as ones to watch by Brazilian tastemaker Renato Cohen and have released on his Massa Records as well as Get Physical's COCADA Music. Now they tap into the esteemed Definitive Recordings catalogue and add their own spin to four tracks which make up this EP, which will also be included on the 12-track 'Disco House For All' compilation which includes more key selections from the label.

First up, they tackle Blunted Dummies's 'House For All' and flip it into a thumping house cut with old-school synth stabs and a low-slung bassline. Their remix of Las America's 'Look, Listen, Love' brings jacked-up drums with plenty of original Chicago swagger, seductive vocals and a raw analogue bassline. The duo then bring a deep and stylish twist to Wax Fruit's 'Be Yourself', which has rueful pads that encourage you to gaze off into the distance, lost in thought, while the tender piano chords bring extra soul. Last of all is their fresh remix of Barada's 'Gasoline', which is a driving deep house gem with neon chord vamps and another timeless bassline.

The Jaffa Kid's prolific music-making is well known at this point, with a wide-ranging palette that takes in the full range of electronic genres, from jungle to techno to ambient.

But here on his second EP for Gated - appropriately titled Second Frequencies - the boy named after a biscuit (or is it a cake?) goes deep. Really deep. Kicking off with the beatless but driving Phased For Days, the EP has a kind of relentless hypnotism to it, with Trinian's almost 7 minutes of spaced out electro.

Flip to the B and the acid comes to the fore, with War On Words and its addictive 303 line pulsing over the Kid's signature pads.
Tangential throws in some breaks under gritty acid, and Not The Way rounds out the EP with a truly poignant melodic beatdown.

Dance music traditionalist Tom Carruthers joins Craigie Knowes. Tom’s commitment to the ruff n’ ready sound of dance music’s formative years is unshaken on the De-Facto EP, bundled with the same synths, drum machines, samplers and FX used in the by-gone golden era of the UK acid, breaks and hardcore scenes. Soul is found in disorder, not in a world that places false hope in perfectionism.
