Legendary Miami duo Oscar G and Ralph Falcon's Murk label has always been a sign of quality for House heads all over the world.

This record, ManMakeMusic's first release of 2014, pitches the breadth of Koefod's sound - running swinging, gritty house against grime-infused 4/4 and off-beat electronica.

Archetypal Detroit electro techno taken to the next level by Mr Bernardi on Burek sub label Barba. Barba shows its nasty side after the first and very nice and sweet LD Nero release. Bernardi delivers a double album worth of ideas, spread among 2 releases. The first half of the release is very much in the robots-having-an-argument rather than the peaceful-cosmic-journey vein. The tracks feature abrupt changes, stabbing asymmetrical rhythms, multiple layers of sound and a darker moodier feel. Opening track "Picture painters" is the brightest and liveliest of the three, driven by a classic undulating electro bassline with lots of room to groove within it. Bernardi gradually adds on more and more frenetic elements that push the track (and the right crowd) to ever higher levels of jerky intensity. "Sweet little cheeky" has a similar underpinning but is developed into a much more 4/4 rhythmwith dramatic changes in mood and emphasis to keep it interesting. Finally "Porcelain Candy" offers something rather different with a harsher, less fluid sound as Bernardi's machines are pushed to their rhythmic and sonic limits. Frantic techno for the freaks!

The Invariants is a brand new label and production project from Amsterdam. The first release contains four tracks recorded in the fall of 2012. The new DIY label looks set to become a firm favourite with connoisseurs of the deep everywhere. The opening track of the debut EP is a wide-open bit of ambient soundscaping. Distant muffled voices, lush pads that stretch and smear in soothing, cerebral ways and sombre synths all make it a magical opener. The A2 is similar in its smooth textures but is underpinned by a warm, rubbery, thudding kick drum that propels things along at an inviting pace. The pads are just as emotive and serene, though, initially sounding insular and sorry for themselves before a little light and optimism does come in in the latter stages. On the flip, B1 is a much slower and lazier affair: crisp but icy hi hats are as far apart as the drums. Rippling chords roll in the foreground and a slowly emerging sense of groove gets fleshed out with richly reverbing claps and rising pads. Seriously moody stuff, the EP gets finished in real style by the deep, whacked out and mid tempo electro groove of the B2. Humid but run through with frazzled synths, there is plenty of pain as well as hopefulness in the tracks The Invariants create. On this evidence, this is a project that knows just how much is enough to really stimulate mind, body and soul.

Environ boss Morgan Geist returns to his love for Detroit techno, Chicago tracks and generally exceptional dancefloor music with the first in a new series of EPs: Megaprojects 1.

In his own words: 'I chose the name 'Megaprojects' for this series partly because I am inspired and fascinated by imposing, surreal engineering and architecture: giant hydroelectric dams, soaring bridges and strange-­-looking, exposed-­-concrete government buildings. I also found the irony of such a grandiose name for this series amusing, considering megaprojects are by definition large-­-scale, high-­-tech and costing billions of dollars, whereas this is a collection of carefully-­-made but low-­-tech tracks, created with cheap little drum machines and rejected old synths.'

Foot & Mouth drops a rib-rattling earth-shaker of an EP by the salubrious Montel. After recent releases on Let's Play House, Seven and Wax Classics, Montel now delivers 'Third Dimension' a blistering four tracker on Foot & Mouth of infectious break-beat garage with a knowing nod to those days of glory!

The A Side features two versions of 'Garage Stories', 'Vibe 1' is a raw breakin' homage to the Paradise Garage, whilst 'Vibe 2' is a more female vocal led take, equally as monstrous.

On the flip and Montel turns on those old school flavours with a show-pony champion of a tune, 'I Can't Wait' kicks like a mule! Last up is 'NASA', a darker tougher affair for the tech-heads.. heads down for a full house. The EP is been championed by Huxley, Skream, Bicep & Matt Tolfrey.

The labels are made from selected images of scientific interest out of the 116 contained onto this record.

Annie Errez's 'Deeper Knowledge' EP featuring a remix from Mr G.
Annie Errez is a Leeds based Dj Producer who has cut her teeth as resident of the superb System night. As with most quality resident DJs, Errez has a strong understanding of dancefloor
subtlety and her productions alongside Bobby119412 O'Donnell for Resopal have displayed this skill in spades.
For the fifth Saints & Sonnets release, Errez makes her solo production debut and rolls out three original tracks that find their base in stripped-back electronic tones and unerring grooves.
From the trippy yet punchy title track to the blissed out hypnotism of 'Marching' via the lop-sided funk of 'Wait For You', this is a measured and consummate exercise in dancefloor manipulation.
Mr G tackles 'Marching' with his aptly titled 'Strutting Remix' and delivers yet another peerless muscular house groove to add to his always on point remixography.

English producer and DJ Neville Watson will release his debut album on Dutch label Crème Organization in May 2013. Entitled Songs To Elevate Pure Hearts, it sees Watson explore similar ground to that of the EPs he has released on labels like Teng and Clone Jack For Daze dating back a whole decade. Watson, who also set up Windsor's much loved Mighty Atom record store and label, has become synonymous with re-interpreting classic Chicago house sounds in his own heavily analogue way. His productions often deal in an authentic rawness and roughness, whilst as a live specialist he has been much in demand in recent times thanks to boundary nudging outings at clubs around Europe with Bulgarian partner in Crime, KiNK. The album offers eleven tracks, kicking off with the serene 'Dark Star' before immediately getting fractious with the twisted lines and crisp percussion of the title track. Though containing plenty of material for the dancefloor, so too is this a carefully programmed trip that takes you up as well as down, with the likes of 'The Girl From Kowloon Tong' exploring beat-less, melodically intoxicating territory between harder hitting joints like the widescreen, dubby techno of 'Against The Tide' and controlled, machine frenzy of 'Everything I Know About House (I Learnt On Facebook)'. Tracks like 'Axiomatic' prove Watson as adept at crafting occult moods and unusual feelings as he is the more physical beats and classicist stylings of the ode to real house music that is 'Son of House'. Taking you up, down, backwards and forwards through time and space, 'Songs To Elevate Pure Hearts' does exactly what the title suggests, no matter how pure your heart.

Video channel Tape Archive brings tracks on wax for the first time with a three tracker from unknown producer F.T.F. Filling the gap from youtube to vinyl with stomping basses, heavy hihats and power melodies, the EP provide weapons for the dance floor with unique aesthetic. Beware of the ninja waiting for you in the dark.

Mysterious hardware tinkerer Stephan 'STL' Laubner is back with a 3 track + locked groove EP on the London based imprint Mutual Friend Recordings entitled Listen Up! Mind Puzzlin is exactly that with a luscious lead line that will twist your head accomponied by STL's signature rough and overdriven percussion. Smile Function has a more ominous tone with repeated guitar plucks that plant themselves into your consciousness. STL builds the groove expertly whilst retaining an other-worldly feel to the track. Wrong is a real groover with a growling bassline accomponied by weird and wonderful interwoven patterns coaxed out of STL's synths. The locked groove, titled Listen Up! Loop is a nice bonus for the more adventurous DJ out there.

Scott Grooves presents 'The Journey Revisited: This is not just a normal reissue as you would expect coming from Mr. Grooves. The original version has been sonically enhanced and remastered. The b-side now has a kickless mix along with a atmospheric acapella - an updated edition to a now classic Detroit anthem.

Ilija Rudman is quite a unique character. A fact reinforced by listening to some of the records from his vast catalogue, taking a walk through his next level studio or simply talking to him. Preferably, all three at once, as it is often the case. Authenticity is the word that comes to mind when describing the work of this leading Croatian artist or while listening to the material we are proud to put out on 12th Burek release. The record features three cuts. Higher Ground is Rudman's solo effort while the two on the flip are coproduced by Boyd H. Jarvis, an American producer credited to numerous 12" on classic labels such as Trax Records, King Street Sounds, Movin' Records and Dance Tracks (to mention a selected few). Although releases made in a similar fashion tend to sound somewhat unfocused, the result here is exactly the opposite. What we have here is 20 minutes of some of the slickest house music you'll find, sounding so coherent that dissecting it track by track seems pointless. This is a 12" that will feel equally at home in a club or blasting through the speakers of your convertible while driving on the California coast in the summer.

New Dawn Baba Stiltz hails from a tradition of funky outcasts centred around the calm yet unpredictable city of Stockholm, Sweden. Since his infant days he's been guided through the nitty-gritty basics of what it is to be a true music lover by some of the city's most prolific artists, producers and djs. Despite his youth, 20-year-old Baba boasts an impressive discography, with two albums of dreamy folk-pop (as The Betlehem Beard Corporation) and a string of hit singles within the elusive Skweee scene already under his belt. His more recent studio adventures have led to three 12' releases on Stockholm dance label Studio Barnhus as well as recurring production work for post-rap phenomenon Yung Lean. Total is Baba's debut album under his own name and his finest work to date. From the opening machine-funk arpeggio of Missing to the sanguine melancholia of closing hiphop beat Discovery - New Dawn, Baba's masterpiece rides through psychedelic screw-pop, minimalistic emo-acid and opiate-drenched coming-of-age-ambient.

Delsin are proud to present, Sides of Space, a collection of classic, lost and forgotten tracks from atmospheric techno producer D5. The 12 track, triple vinyl affair will land in November in both regular and limited edition forms. D5 has released a number of fine EPs on Delsin that date back to the turn of the millennium, as well as a fine full length in 2002 entitled 'Alien Artform'. The tracks on this new compilation have been chosen from old CDRs by label boss Marsel and truly reflect the artist formerly known as Dimensions 5's fine tradition of relaxing chilled out, Detroit influenced techno. His most classic track, 'Floatation Tank' (which was a standout from the 2005 Panet Delsin compilation) as well as all cuts from the sought after Neutrino EP, are included here, and still sound as good now as they ever did. In all there are seven previously released tracks as well as five brand new, never before heard cuts, and they all make for absorbing listening both in the club, on headphones or from the sofa.

Garrett David and Adam Rowe return to Stripped & Chewed with an accomplished new EP, "Now That We Are Here, Where Are We". Also known as the Bell Boys, the pair were last seen on a funky electro 7" for Star Creature following 2013's "Hotel Garma EP" for Discovery Recordings. This new five track record finds the Chicago-based duo making major strides forward in their already rather mature sound, fusing razor-sharp rhythms with plush melodies informed by deep knowledge of house music history -- no surprise from two buyers for Chicago institution Gramaphone Records.
Listeners ease into proceedings with "Sound Space", dappled by hand drum loops and engulfed in warm bass notes that help piano stabs and cooed vocals hit pleasure centers with accuracy and glee. "Full Mood" continues in this vein but is even more pointed, firing off Prescription-strength stabs and expert level hi-hat work into gooey melodies. The A side closes with the weightless ambience of "Space Jam", shimmering like sun cracking the horizon.
Side B offers two versions of floor-filler "Summit", which epitomize David and Rowe's aesthetic and production methods. The "Smoov Mix" pairs twitchy, relentless drum programming and a brisk, walking bass line with triumphant synth lines for a propulsive but lighthearted tune. The "Smashed Mix" has harder edges and more quirks, like squirrelly synth squiggles and an ascending synth line that could part the darkest clouds.

Luke Hess' Dimension.D EP is the 5th release on his own DeepLabs Detroit imprint. The title track Dimension.D is a perfect balance between house and techno, and it contains all the right signals for becoming a future Detroit classic. Dimension.D creates the frenzy of a dance floor filler with robotic vocals, raw Detroit stabs, and funky-tweaky percussion grooves. The Dimension.D VOX Reshape is a loose and beat-less version of the title track with a focus on the robotic vocal surrounded by tape processing and the introduction of new analog elements. Mission.106 takes up the entire B-side of the record and is a dark melodic Detroit techno gem, reminiscent of classic mid-90's Detroit warehouse music and suitable for heavy rotation on all serious sound systems.

Vince Watson is next up on the Amsterdam based label Indigo Aera with a collection of tracks from his peerless archives. All were produced in the late 90s and early 00s and two have been previously released under his V-Phorms alias on the British Native label, but four others are never before heard gems.
