Baba Osman presents the second installament of Osman Records.

On this first part, we have the 2 seminal reshapes of A Very Different World by FunkD'Void. Top of the playlists of Dj's from Sasha and Digweed to Derrick May and Josh Wink back in 2010, for the first time the track now find themselves on Vinyl as well as Digital. Both reshapes have something for everyone, with the Epic Reshape extending the mix to 10mins. A Very Different World was the track that relaunched Bio in 2010 and Funk D'Void still plays it in his sets and lists it as one of his all time greats....

Detroit natives, Nikki O and Javonntte, collaborate on EP filled with Motor City Soul.

Nikki O, best known for her work with Moodymann, is joined by Javonntte who worked and toured with the late Aretha Franklin.

Two bubbling soulful house tracks on the A side are followed up by two Detroit dubs on the B side.

Ebbing pads initiate the package in 'Think' before teasing in intricate percussion and moody bass throbs. Metallic synths, mesmerising atmospherics and an ominous hook then make up 'Front To Back' before moving on to the soaring chords and trippy nuances of 'Everything You Do'. Tying things together, 'Universal Man' layers a medley of undulating components as ethereal effects operate throughout.

“CHAPTER I: THE BLACK GODDESS (AΦOR)” is the latest work from the DJ and producer BLAKE (aka Will Blake) which will land on his debut label TRITON RECORDS featuring the Detroit legend Scan 7.

To launch the label, BLAKE has called upon the most influential Detroit artist Abdul Qadim Haqq (Third Earth Visual Arts), designer of historical releases of among others Underground Resistance, Metroplex and Transmat, who has conceived, curated and realized the entire artwork project of TRITON RECORDS, its logo and the astonishing EP cover.

BLAKE’s works give emphasis to warm sounds coming from his tapes, samplers, drum machines and analogic synthesizers. He has always been inspired by the music from Detroit. For this EP, BLAKE has realized 2 high-quality tracks expertly crafted for the dance floor and 1 warm techno soul cut that has been remixed by Scan 7 with his unique touch. The Intro of the EP will let the listener experience the birth of the planet Triton and will drive him to spatial soundscapes.

Will Saul and Tee Mango continue the Primitive Trust EP series with their third release. 'Little Love EP' is a blissful 3 track package featuring a Floorplan remix. 'Little Love' builds warm harmonies driven by syncopated bass grooves whilst Tee Mango's Dub of 'Tejon' heads for the sun with radiant, shuffling chords. For the remix, Floorplan delivers unrestrained rapture on a peak time roller full of cathartic vocal bursts.

Amsterdam label Taped Artifact has lined up an EP from Merv aka Brian Oldenborg and Jan Christiansen. After the Re-Melted reissue on Styrax in 2015, this is the pair's third new EP in three years since coming back after first making music back in the mid nineties. Their warm dub and techno style is still very much fresh and arresting. Blueprint opens the EP with eight enthralling minutes of percolating drums and shuffling hi hats. Frosty yet warm, it's a cavernous affair with a hypnotic riffs sucking you in over and over. Shine is more upright techno, but the rock solid kicks are still draped with rippling, static coated chords that ripple out in all directions. Rotundum closes things out with synth waves gently breaking over hunched drums that build the pressure. It's tense and engaging while remaining thoroughly atmospheric.

Versalife aka Boris Bunnik is one of the most respected producers in electro, recording for many of the truly great Dutch labels including Delsin, Clone, Rush Hour and Frustrated Funk as well as cutting edge imprints like Brokntoys, Shipwreck and Transcendent. Bunnik has toured Versalife live extensively across the world, as recently featured on Boiler Room. Bunnik now presents his debut release for 20/20 Vision as the label continues it's path into the world of pure electronic music. 'Machine Life' immediately stood out as one of those rare killer club cuts that works it's way into a wide range of DJ boxes, simple but massively effective. 'M05' returns to more classic sounding Versalife electro with complex layers of synths, strings and analogue squelch all held together by a solid bass hook. On the flip side Bunnik shows off his pedigree in producing Detroit influenced string laden beautiful music with the EP rounded off by 'Axion', a heavier trip to the dark side.

The kid is back! The wunderkind from Wichita, Kansas collates another wonderful release on his own Moran Music Group, featuring music from Karlos' archive old and new. Expect more of the same deep and warm vibes, all made with a special and loving touch.

Manana presents a new remix EP bringing together some essential re-works of Sound Species and Ache Meyi's collaboration recordings.
Originally recorded in 2016 in Santiago de Cuba during the lead-up to the Manana Festival in the city, the original sessions were an inspired fusion of Ache Meyi's deep folkloric Afro-Cuban styles with Sound Species' subtle electronic touches. The new re-works have attracted some familiar names from clubland: broken beat don IG Culture keeps the roots of 'Ogún Meyi Meyi' intact with a bass-heavy, percussive attack; brilliant UK drummer and producer Tom Skinner strips back 'Egrem Bata Jam' on a pulsing new version; Chicago legend Ron Trent creates a more melodic dancefloor re-work of 'Alina's Calypso' while Sound Species themselves beef up the original Afro-Haitian rhythms of the same track for a dubbier treatment.

Smallville Records celebrate their 10th anniversary with the 3rd and 4th part of the - Ways' Series. It started in 2011 with Twentyfour Ways (Smallville 24)- a Various Artists 4 track-12' with timeless music only. It continued in 2013 with Smallville 35 (Thirtyfive Ways)- same concept, but different artists. And now it's finally time for Smallville 44 and 45 (Fortyfour and Fortyfive Ways)- wonderful tracks of Smallville's favourite producers and family members. Introducing L'Amour Fou, a new project by Move D and his friends Benoit Bouquin (BB) and Marco Wollenberg, both from Taipeh. Another newbie in the Smallville Camp is Kornél Kovacs. We hooked up and invited Kornél to play over in Hamburg last year for a Smallville Party and Space Jam is kind of the result, which we are very happy about. And Juniper is finally back with one of their rare gems- after the split-12' with Arnaldo (Smallville 30) and various played gigs together, mostly at Stattbad, Berlin- it was about time to come together again. Smallpeeps on the mighty B2.

GIANT RECORDS 10th release is from New York born ADAM COLLINS and limited to 150 hand stamped and numbered copies. Adam is widely known for his work as one half of production duo - OMNI AM, along with Marky star and counts Derrick Carter and Evil Eddie Richards and a whole host of others, amongst their fans. Adam's release for Giant is titled - DAY2DAY and has all the trademark's of Adam's wonky,
left of feld, slightly of kilter grooves - DAY2DAY builds and snakes itself into a bottom bass heavy House jam - Chicago style keys mould the snare and hats into an infectious work out - with an alien like hook that keeps it all slightly wobbly. The
next cut is from the super talented CARL FINLOW under carl's RANDOM FACTOR guise, a beauty in its own right ! Super tight drums and a punchy RANDOM FACTOR bassline take's this mix on a journey through many shades of electronica - as the track swells nicely with warm atmospheric pads and sprinkles of emotive keys, with an electro style hook that keep's it all swinging in Carl's trademark sound. The next mix is from LA based producer MIEKA DU FRANX. Mieka's mix strips the original
down to the bare essentials and gives it a tuf minimal feel. The last mix is from ECHO OF GLORY, which see's Echo take the track on a Acid tinged work out - adding
dubbed out vocals and super subbed out bass.

For their second release on the label, DGTL Records asked another one of its festival shows regulars: Fort Romeau. After playing at three different DGTL editions, and an upcoming fourth during ADE, the organization also wanted to propagate his sound with an EP on their imprint. The release consists of two multi-layered compositions, Untitled II and A Familiar Place, and will be available both on vinyl and in digital stores on the 13th of October.

Fort Romeau came into the spotlight with releases on Running Back, Live At Robert Johnson and Ghostly International amongst others. The British talent gained recognition with his cultivated ear and apprehension of all genres of music, that brought him to add something unique to the widespread spectrum of electronic music, both as a DJ and a producer. In 2015 he also set up his own label, Cin Cin, releasing split EPs from established names and newcomers alike, with a diverse musical policy that reflects Fort Romeau his open minded and inquisitive approach.


'Untitled II' is a luminous house tune, with a soundscape on top that takes you on a journey, while 'A Familiar Place' adds a little bit of darkness to the EP. This B-side is made up out of raw elements, a high tempo kick and hi- hat create a sturdy flow that makes it hard to sit still. All in all, it advocates the vision of the festival and its label, in every way.

M.E.R 002 Parque Rodó EP is the first release put out by Santiago on his own label. His approach to music shapes and reflects much of M.E.R's musical imprint.

DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted label once again spotlights rising French talent Marina Trench for the second instalment of 'Signature featuring remixes from the boss and Hugo LX. Arriving on Deeply Rooted in March with the slick sounding 'Signature EP1', since then Trench has debuted at Rex Club where she played alongside Kerri Chandler, further bolstering her rising reputation as one of the Parisian scene's most exciting names. She now returns to Deeply Rooted bringing another instalment of classy House music - perfectly suited to the respected label's aesthetic. She shows off her knack for jazzy keys on the lively, raw-edged 'Thema Urbain' which oozes late night soul and effortlessly intimate house vibes. The equally excellent 'Ahead' is a surging house cut with well-crafted synth stabs fleshing out an off balance groove while a twanging bass riffs props things up from below. It's perfectly propulsive but has a real sense of heart. The third sublime original is 'Navigo', a bottomless track with splashy hi hats and suggestive string stabs up top. A rasping bassline brings texture to the smooth grooves as they keep rushing over you to make this another fresh and original offering from Trench. Remixing 'Ahead' is Hugo LX, who cruises from downtempo beats to soulful electronic sounds on the likes of Balance and NDATL Muzik. His classy version is a dubbed out classic with a musical bassline tumbling down the scales as you're sunk ever deeper into his pillowy pads. Deep himself then steps up to flip 'Navigo' into a driving deep techno number that surges on soaring synth smears and prickly percussion. This EP is set to take Trench to the next level and confirms she is one of 2019's brightest new stars.

Bohm (030303 Records) and Marcus Paulson (aka Kid Machine) deliver four classic cuts of quality house. Inspired by Manchester and Utrecht commutes, the EP sets the tone for future things to come on their Purewaxx label. Paulson and Bohm share a side each, both using the 707/101/303/106 to good use, layering pads, square basslines and deep moody pads and strings. If you like the sounds of Chicago and Detroit, you'll find them on this Anglo-Dutch production.

Coming from "somewhere in Michigan" - as he declares his current situation - Thomas Rooge's first output is a strong midwest styled house and techno set.

Long time unsung UK techno artist Aubrey is to release Gravitational Lensing, a first artist album since 2001 and his third in all. It lands in early 2019 on Out-ER and across 12 tracks it finds him getting more personal and instinctive than ever before with jazz, techno, broken beat and house all colouring this most coherent of musical adventures.
Aubrey s discography dates back to the early nineties, when he was a key part of the UK scene on labels like Solid Groove, Textures and Mosaic. Up there with the greats from Chicago and Detroit, he has turned out a steady stream of music that marries perfect dance floor functionality with real musical invention. Always inspired by anything deep with a good groove, everything from synth band Japan to funk king George Clinton, electro break beats to Jean Michel Jarre all inform his work.

As a DJ, he cut his teeth playing the biggest raves in the UK with names like Carl Cox and Eddie C having been swept up by the acid house records that hit English stores when he was just 15. Add in a love of jazz, ambient and US house, and you have all the eclectic influences that this criminally under-the-radar artist has drawn on for his latest album.

It is one that finds him really put his personal stamp on his sound. It s a chance to be more who you are and what you feel without pressure to conform to a particular sound, it s a chance to be free, says the artist of the album process. It was partially produced at Out-ER s studio in Nard , Lecce over the course of a year s worth of studio jam sessions, and is his finest and most cinematic work to date.

Things kick off with the ambient synth modulations of Aerglo Visible before exquisitely loose jazz drums and sci-fi pads suspend you in the cosmos on Floating to Rigel. There is an experimental feel to the off grid drums, rippling chords and drunken keys of Doctor Portia that keeps you brilliantly off balance, and the first deep techno trip is Journey To the Blue Planet , which has gorgeous ambience swirling over rolling, dubby kicks and soulful Detroit synth work. Carrying on through more lush, musical synth work and inventive drums, there are moments of heads down dance floor power and hi-tech soul, serene techno landscaping and chord-laced deep house that is superbly cerebral throughout the album.

In all, it makes for a complete and storytelling record that draws on a rich variety of genres and reworks them into something deep, multi-layered and hugely emotional that works as well in headphones, at home, as it will in the club.

Youthman(29) dishes out his debut 12′’ on TPG, comprised of seven cuts that yo-yo between revamped breaksy house tropes, sample-heavy intricacies and lo-lidded ethereality. Maintaining a fine balance between danceability and daydreaming, ‘Untitled’ holds its listener in a hazed-out hypnagogic state of body-&-mind symbiosis that’s best suited for moments of transition and sense-awakening, when the lights begin to flicker and the club seems to fold up in a strange, otherworldly halo of sorts.

Pontchartrain's second release on home label Lovedancing dives deep into his Detroit roots with two big house tunes that nod to his motor city influences.

1515 Broadway Revisited is a sparkling, chord-heavy track featuring local vocalist Larry Love, made for peak-time play.

Javonntte is up on remix duties with a dark groaning version for the true afterhours feel. On the flipside, 'Head Up' pays tribute to the late queen of soul with a classic house vibe that feels right at any time, but an ending that'll keep you saving it for just the right moment.

Diynamic´s Solomun teams up for the first time with Johannes Brecht and their debut convinces with driving beats, fresh sounds and a composition of synth lines which won´t leave your brain anymore.

On the flip side you can find two versions by André Hommen, who has been responsible for countless club weapons on labels like Objektivity, Poker Flat and These Eyes plus Dublin´s poster boy Matador who recently delivered a master piece with his legendary remix of Oxia´s - Domino'.

Jovonn's Body N'Deep label continues after the success of Jovonn's 'Timeless' album with a various artists EP from Franck, Roger, Delano Smith, Sean McCabe and rising talent Monocue. Franck Roger delivers the Body N' Deep with a rolling New Jersey inspired club track on 'Get Ready' and Sean McCabe continues the theme with a soulful house joint ticking all the right boxes on 'Freak It'. Delano Smith brings the heat with a deep disco groove on 'Moon Dance' and the final track see's Monocue showcase his talents with the deeper than deep 'Borrowed Days'.

French producer Erell Ranson's affinity for the deeper shades of Detroit sound is well known, but his ability to absorb those influences and create beautiful music with his own signature is the reason we're so excited to welcome him into our family. Having previously released on labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult, aDepth audio, Nice & Nasty Records and his own MySelf Recordings, amongst others, Erell's became quite skilled in crafting sophisticated and emotional tracks which still seem to feel perfectly at home in a crowded 3 AM club situation. EP for Barba, titled "Dreams Of Nila", is a 4-tracker consisting of "Dreams Of Nila", "Reminiscence 0f The Past", and "Far Away Of Your Side", with the latter receiving an additional remix treatment by a Rotterdam-based project Duplex. "Dreams Of Nila" is a somewhat more leaning towards Chicago-ish side of things, with its huge bassline enveloped by shuffling 707 drums. Soft-sounding synth pad sequences work as an emotion injection and appear perfectly timed, without removing the edge of this, essentially, club track. "Reminiscence Of The Past" is the most direct of the bunch. Syncopated bass drum, forward-leaning groove and those classic techno snare roll fills make this track hard to ignore as it is, without mentioning complex interaction of synth lines, chords and beautiful detroit-reminiscent string stabs. Wonderfully executed counterpoint of hard edge and soft touch is what makes this cut a truly special one. Techno in its fullest form. "Far Away Of Your Side" is somewhat closer to the energy level of "Dreams Of Nila", and is a well-paced deep cut perfect for later moments in the night when subtle approach is everything. Slow synth pads give your mind some time to relax while the groove keeps your body occupied. Duplex remix of "Far Away Of Your Side" takes the track another notch down but in a more sideways manner. Broken electro groove is what keeps the foundation of the track while Chris Aarse & John Matze (aka Duplex) masterfully work their synths and pads to keep the tension for the whole duration of the track. Melancholy mood is tangible here, and at its best, ready for the dancefloor.

MODU:LAR Music is a new label project born from established Liverpool-based collective, which has now been running for five years. Promising to release straight-up party tracks made for the dancefloor, the label will showcase and expose emerging talents from it's home city and beyond.

First up is a debut four-track EP from Scouse duo, Danny Mc and James Hall a.k.a. UZU. 'The A1' fires off with a swinging, housey groove that's brought to life by danceable pads, kicks and hats, interweaving warm melodies across the duration of the opening track - before a sharp change of direction with 'The A2' sees the feeling head down a contrasting electro-tinged beat with percussive highlights coming through strongly once again, likely the product of Danny Mc's influence on this debut vinyl release as an accomplished musician and drummer.

On the reverse, 'The B1's glossy and sophisticated breakbeat core sweeps into warm synths and vocal constructions that put forward a real garage-like note that'll be a strong fit with different environments and play times. Rounding up the record is a punchy, driving roller that features complex electronic, spacey accents polished off finely by Jim Hall - a signature of both artists production style that'll become more and more evident in future work.

Detroit based artist Jeremiah Shaw, known as J Shaw Electro or SpaceDrifter3000 is an up and coming artist influenced by early Detroit Electro. Since 2008 he is a part of the international band collective AnTiZeRo and has released on Militant Science Records.

Blair French returns to Rocksteady Disco after last year's brilliant Standing Still Is An Illusion for another 12' of mind, body, and soul music. 'Public Park' starts off the release, with flutes, guitars, and African marimbas abound, presenting itself as the song of the summer. 'Spirit Guides' follows, taking listeners and dancers on a spiritual afro jazz odyssey.
