Seventeenth release from the brilliant Small World Disco Edits, this time from LTJ's alter ego, One Man Edit. Huge release!

The History Clock is most certainly alive and ticking with this incredible release from Argentinian duo, DJs Pareja. You may be familiar with some early tracks that they've done for Matias Aguayo's peerless Comeme label (their excellent ghetto rhythms, 'Kenia' and 'Tribal Scream'), and this is a perfect follow-up. 'Psycho Rhythm', the appropriately-titled lead track is a brilliant, mid-tempo, mildly-disturbed 'outsider' house / EBM-shocker; coupled with the absolutely perfect Roska / UK Funky-esque, tropical rhythm of 'Pampa Room'. A track that joins the dots between the Bumbumbox parties of Buenos Aires; the Boiler Room nights in London and the boxes of the more forward-thinking DJs on Rinse FM. Balearic music fans will immediately fall in love with 'Spanish Is Beautiful' - in both original and Alejandro Paz (Comeme / Huntleys & Palmers) remix formats.

Lovefingers and Nitedog return to their Blackdisco label for the 10th release! Straight up fun party jams for 4 different moments in the night. Lovefingers starts off side A with the pumping macho disco America (cut from a goofy Italian 45 and a Stallion's staple) and Nitedog's Anonstop project throws down the mid-tempo bassline bobber Martial Arts. On side B, Lovefingers drops a funky/junky Eastern guitar stomp on Slim Jim (another goofy 45, this time French), and Nitedog's Anonstop project closes out with a super funky warm burner Primates. Shocks is a project by northern Italian DJ/producer Wanmhope with his occasional partner-in-crime Max Dolphy. While fundamentally simple in approach, the dynamic maintains a deceivingly complex harmony and disharmony rendering a visceral, sometimes violent listening experience. Waves of feedback, distortion, frantic guitar noodling, vocal collage and field recordings soar like an ominous cloud over primitive, hedonistic rhythms. This, the first of two Shocks vinlys preceding the full-length, sets the tone, serving as your marinade before you're thrown to the lions.

Very welcome reissue of the original Sire Records release of Dinosaur's Kiss me Again from 1978. Written and produced by disco legends Arthur Russell and Nicky Siano and weighing in at a heavy 13 minutes long, this is a truly hypnotic disco odyssey which takes you on a curling and tension-filled journey through funky piano riffs, signature scratchy guitar work by Talking Heads supremo David Byrne, tumbling drums, stabbing horns and of course Mr Russell's swirling atmospheric cello solos. All this is held together by Myriam Valle's beautiful yearning vocal performance until the crazy mind-blowing orgasmic final minutes where David Byrne goes wild and the whole thing explodes in pure dancefloor meltdown. Choose from the A-side Jimmy Simpson mix or Dinosaur's own more stripped down, chaotic but equally compelling mix on the flip. Huge in New York especially at Nicky Siano's own Gallery nightclub, later championed by Frankie Knuckles in Chicago and more recently chosen by Twitch as the perfect record to end the very last Optimo Espacio, this is a true disco classic and absolutely essential in any discerning record collection

First of 3 volumes taken from the incredibly rare Japan only CD release 'Inner Films '70' from 2009. The sketch is simple, modern disco artists take on seminal film scores from the 70's and give them a twist. First we have Norweigan disco wizard Prins Thomas's take on the theme from Rocky - 'Gonna Fly Now'. All live instrumentation... this'll rock your socks off. On the flip Japanese artist Foog (Mule Musiq) gives the 'Theme From Close Encounters Of The Third Kind' a new lick of paint, while fellow Japanese sonic adventurer Hideo Kobayashi (Apt. International / Bite Grooves) turns 'Rhapsody In Blue' into a tech-y workout.

Il Bosco, a man of many names he's been part of the make up of Manchester
club land for many years. He was resident dj at Fat City's infamous
Friends and family night & a recording artist for Grand Central and Aim's
Atic Records during the noughties. After a couple of years hiatus he's
back out of the studio with four tracks and taking a new direction. The
tempo is up and a mutation of old school rave, italo, house and electro is
in the offing.

For their third release Catapult Records follow the Organ Grinders New Age People & Obsession with another taste of retro house this time from Ratcatcher. Bubbledub and Nightlife are two classy house groovers that sits somewhere between strictly rhythm circa 94 and Keri Chandler in vibe. Bubbledub has a punchy bassline synched to some classy housey chords with a mean 808 groove.

The second in the sold out series combines the powers of three of the hottest producers in the disco game right now. Heading up the field is Toomy Disco with a monster of a track. Deep, hypnotic and swirling "Into the flashlights" hits you right in the chest, a certified dancefloor bomb, make no mistake. On the flip, remixer and producer de jour Mario Basanov reworks a lesser know Stevie Wonder track into a towering disco gem! Soaring pads elevate the track to dizzy heights before its dropped back down into the groove to great effect. Finally Sean Roman pulls apart, loops up and glues back together a boogie banger in the vein of Tiger & Woods. All in all a damn useful 12".

In the 6th issue of artist presentations BigM Productions bundles four tracks from various artists to a floor bombing release. Murder mashup power to blow your shack. First in the ring is the Manmade team CMC & Silenta with this murder 60s classic pumped up to prime time madness.

Next on duty is Breakbeat Junkie with a perfect groover to get the crowd banging.

VIBRATIONS 002 comes from LHAS, AKA Jaime Read, who is here to show all these new old-school house heads precisely where to step off. A longtime cohort of Foolish Felix, who was horribly ripped off by a Chicago legend (just google it) and the man to go to when you want 'that' vintage synth sound spotted, Jaime knocks out four tracks that aren't retro they're timeless. From the classic chi-jack of 'Learning to Live' to the swirling syncopation of 'Call That Jazz', these four tracks eschew rigid programming and live, breathe and ooze musicality. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Arturo Garces has been surrounded by dance music his entire life. The son of a serious collector of funk, soul and disco records, Arturo grew up listening to the roots of house music. These early influences are evident in his works as a DJ and producer today. Interested in making his own music, Arturo got hold of a sampler in 1995 and hasn't looked back since. He has releases on both established & strictly underground labels (Subliminal Soul, Jump Recordings, Solid Trax, Tangible, Plush, Trax Café, Audio Abuse, & Do Box). Arturo has new projects and remixes coming out on Cross Section Records, Magnetic Recordings, Smoke City Music, Sneak Classics, Jump Recordings, Solid Trax, Beat Bum Music, Scenic Music, Council House Recordings, Soluble Recordings, Hub City, Counter w8, Tangible Recordings, HuHu Muic, Treasured Grooves, & Funky Farm.With a solid collection of tracks, Arturo's music has helped define the unique and emerging Silicon Valley sound. This approach blends the driving, beat-laden beauty of techno with the soulful, deep melodies of house. Other DJs on the tour included DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Barry Weaver, Graeme, Hector Cardenas, Jeno, DJ Mea, DJ Sneak, DJ Rap, Mark Farina, John Acquaviva, Dean Coleman, Supa DJ Dimitry, Mr. C, and Evil Eddie Richards. Today Arturo is the label manager for San Jose's house imprint Jump Recordings, Beat Bum Music, and techno label Resource Records. With a talented roster of producers such as E.B.E., Hipp-E, Uneaq, TBF, DJ Jaz, Chris Jackson, J-Funk, Lurob, & Kenneth Graham to name a few. Also for the last 4 years Arturo has been a part of the infamous 'Get Down' party, a Tuesday night weekly at the Cardiff Lounge in Campbell, Ca. With his hard work, dedication and passion for dance music, Arturo is definitely one to watch.
