2015 looks like it could be the year that the Danes make underground dance their own. The long running Tartelet label changed direction last year and found a winning formula releasing the incredible Max Graef LP. You have Paxton Fettel slowly but surely building his name through some fine releases on Apersonal and Greta Cottage Workshop. Now it's the turn of Uffe to show us why there must be something in the bacon over there. Although now living and studying in Amsterdam, Uffe Christensen has already made some waves with his releases on Catz and Dogs label Pets, and an EP for Tartelet and so when a 6 track demo arrived in the inbox we were all over it. And it was a case of Uffe's sound is unique yet classic, taking the raw, disco influenced approach of Detroit luminaries Theo and KDJ but with a 2015 twist which sees him sitting comfortably in the ranks of exciting young producers such as Glenn Astro, Max Graef, Damiano Von Erkert and Ugly Drums.

Like You Mean It opens the EP with a suitably bold and confident groove, all lopsided cross-rhythm hats and off-kilter bass. This is seriously lo-fi gritty funk that has been getting a brilliant reaction on the dancefloor. The Detox comes next with more hip-hop influenced house beats where there isn't a quantized sound in sight but everything seems to fit together just perfectly. This one favors a deeper approach and keeps things very subtle and stripped back to the bare bones.

Flipping over we have Solid Satin (We Can Do Something) which goes percussion- heavy and treads a slightly darker path. Finally we have Good For You which closes the EP in fine fashion and shows Uffe work his magic on a low- slung deep masterpiece. Bending moog lines and dusty guitar samples sit on top of a raw house beat culminating in a track that sounds as fresh and timeless as it does classic and familiar.

BOOGIE NITE drop their 2nd 12" on GLENVIEW and it's a stunner. 4 cuts all guaranteed to get the dancefloor moving: "LOVE U" (a bangin' disco houser), "EVEYRTHING GOOD 2 YA" (a slow SUPERFLY-TASTIC jam), "FREE 2013" (a soaring jazz tinged house groover) and "DAT BOY AGAIN" (a punchy disco cut).

We have the pleasure to include in our catalogue a grooveless track by the outstanding house head, Da Sunlounge. One of the most prolific UK's House artist of the last 15 years having release music in labels like Detour, 2020Vision, Tango or Double Down.

Oh Momma was originally released on GoodFamilly records almost 10 years ago. We have been playing it for years now so we decided to release again this catchy house track including some fresh remixes.

The original track has been remastered and refreshed by Da Sunlounge for this release. A groovy track with catchy vocals and jazzy piano samples that drives you back to the early 2000's House sound.

On the B side The Groove Brothers (Jef K and Rhythm&Soul) and Rhythm&Soul made two reworks. The first one takes the original track into an hypnotic side with a huge basse line. B1, keeps the jazzy side with another piano sample and a strong groove. Both reworking the original cut by keeping the groovy and moody sound of Da Sunlounge's track.

Reissue of the original Swedish Moon Shine records 12' release of the superb and hugely in-demand slo-mo disco monster 'Stars And Bars'. Originally released back 1981 and now changing hands for big money, this low slung gem is a must-have for any lovers of quality leftfield disco vibes with its phat b-line, great vocals, killer funky synths and a wicked chugging groove sure to ignite any dancefloor/beach party. A big favourite of DJs like Harvey, Rug & Tug & Mark Seven. Superb!

First release of the new label run by dj soch aka marco socci and it starts with a bang! Dj Soch one of the resident djs at the Serendipity club, after the positive experience of ' mind your hate ' records he feels the need to have a platform for his rougher sound.

"Coney Island" honors the true house sound of Chicago , but with that modern twist to move any dancefloor.
"The Analog Cops rendition" takes all the key elements of the orignal and brings everything to another level creating a new "wild pitch" sound. "Funky Dry" is the most functional track here.

It's a great funky techno tune perfect for the peak time of the night.

Quality reissue of the mega-rare Blow Up records release of the Italo masterpiece Pink Footpath by Loui$. Originally released in 1985, this gem has become one of the most h ighly sought after Italo Disco tracks around. On the A side is Magic Dance which is good, but it's the instrumental version of the track Pink Footpath that really gets the disco DJs drooling. With its killer analogue b-line, dreamy synths and Balearic guitar riffs, it's easy to see why it became such an anthem at the early Ibiza parties as well as a late night favourite in Chicago and New York. Highly recommended.

Dancing with tears in your eyes on the remixes of 'Plastic Romance', one of the ace tracks off of 'What About The Magnetic Fields', Space Ranger's debut album on Lovemonk.

The German outfit returns with it fourth single on Lovemonk, the wonderful 'Plastic Romance' featuring the chilly vocals of Captn K, who can also be heard on previous single 'Nightmoves'. Bonar Bradberry throws some beef on the barbie and turns the slo-mo disco original into a ultra-funky dancefloor stormer, while the fabulous Rimshooters, a.k.a. Massimiliano Pagliara and Rotciv, speed it up and take it back to the eighties.

Motorcity Drum Ensemble shift into fifth gear as well and undress the tune while they're at it, leaving Captn K sounding even chillier. Groove Attack & Innervisions hero Marcus Worgull liked the MCDE remix so much, he decided to do his own edit of it. A fabulous package if ever there was one.

Space Ranger come from the stars. The trio based in Stuttgart has a wide experience and an unlimited love for music. In their previous disguises, among which Dublex Inc, they have done remixes for the likes of Kool and The Gang, Sugababes or Kurtis Blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this project, brewing disco and house for today's dance floors from samples taken from their huge record collections. Knowledge is power and space is the place.

In our corner of leftfield dance music, there are not many of our heroes that we haven't had the pleasure of hosting on Circus Company. From the early days of Ark and Akufen to Robag Wruhme, Deetron and Franck Roger, we are privileged to have welcomed some genuine legends onto our label, and now we are honoured to add another all-time great to the list; SoulPhiction. Michel Baumann has long been a steadfast measure of everything 4/4 electronic music should be, both as SoulPhiction and Jackmate and as a curator of Philpot Records. Coming up from the same hip hop roots that inspired Circus Co. in the beginning, he channels a sample-fuelled, jazz-inflected sound that would buckle under the weight of the soul contained within were it not for the strength and presence of his rhythm section. With the pair of cuts he shares with us, all aspects of his lifetime's service are represented in fine style. No stranger to the house scene, Kiko Navarro is a DJ and producer whose productions, remixes and edits have appeared on an impressive list of labels for many years.

Being a good friend of ours and always making us impressed with his productions we thought it was about time Kiko got a 12" to himself on Local Talk.
We are thrilled to be sharing the first Kiko Navarro EP on Local Talk, 'New Life'.

First up is Dope High, a raw, funked up and full of percussion that gets your head nodding, feet tapping and body moving. You could play this track on any sound system in the world and within 90 seconds Kenny Dope would be there smiling and making moves.

On the flip there's two versions of Nea Kameni.
First up is the Chicago house champ Glenn Underground. Glenn's early musical atmosphere was soaked in Jazz, Soul, Funk and Disco and this remix proves all that.
His 'Dance Fusion' remix is incredibly tight, soulful and uplifting. Music you’d expect from a true genius.

Finishing the 12" is the original mix of Nea Kameni - in it's original form perhaps best described as an end of the night track with it's dramatic build up, warm bassline, percussions and beautiful synth lines.

Kiko has created something that's both atmospheric and haunting at the same time. If you've ever searched for a track to play when the sun goes down, here it is. .

New kid on the block Jacob Korn (Dresden, Germany y'all!) convinced sometime somewhere in Toronto with a hearty live set that took a route over hip hop, down tempo house and all kinds of funkiness until it peaked with the disco-house-craze "I Like The Sun (But not on LEDs)".
