Following the widely acclaimed releases of Fouk & Kito Jempere, our autumn release is nothing but a strictly family affair. Kid Grimm is indeed a brand new alias of our dear friend Alland Byallo, longtime collaborator of the label both for his production & awesome graphic works. With an impressive discography crossing over quality imprints such as Third Ear, Bad Animal, Real Tone or Rawax, the San Francisco born and Berlin resident always got something exciting coming out of his machines.
Being always one of the very first lucky ones to listen to his fresh material, Dairmount discovered one year ago a bouncy little tune called Monkey Disco. He instantly felt in love with the hybrid mixture of catchy "bumpty bump" basslines & chords and the lose synths wizardy of Alland. A surprisingly timeless vibe that could have been blessed by an imaginary collaboration between Derrick Carter and Floating Points. It took one more collective mixing session at Sasse's Blackhead studio and the expert mastering of Atjazz to put the final touch to this very first Kid Grimm single. And as great minds never come alone, Dairmount offered to one ilustrous label fan to revamp Alland's track. The man who instantly approved the original was none other than Deep House legend Charles Webster and he delivered amazing perspectives reminiscent of the universe of abstract House geniuses as Dj Koze or Pépé Bradock.
An absolutely delightful package for all connoisseurs...Played by Genius Of Time, Axel Boman, Detroit Swindle, Jimpster, Alex Kid, Bicep, Black Coffee, Fouk, Karizma, Fred Everything, Ian Pooley, Sasse, Fritz Wentink, Bradley Zero, Laurent Garnier, Lefto, Art Of Tones, Luke Solomon, Dave Aju, Mad Mats, Nachtbraker, Phil Weeks & many more.

Originally released on PLANET E in 1998, "EXSTASOUL" was recorded in Paris and Detroit and fuses Electro-Funk with Deep House grooves and a touch of sampling. PLAYING FOR THE CITY's OLIVIER PORTAL adds keys on the title track. This 4-tracker is a definite testament to ALTON's eclectic sound!

Universally recognized as a founding father of the disco edit, Danny Krivit took cleverly spliced reworks from the realm of one-off private pressings and carefully guarded reel-to-reels and put them in the hands of any DJ savvy enough to seek out the Mr. K name. That single initial came to be an undisputed mark of quality, from sound and fidelity to usefulness on the decks. With this latest release, Most Excellent Unlimited continues celebrating Danny's 45th anniversary of DJing with another 45-RPM pressing of two classic Krivit edits, both appearing on 7-inch format for the first time.
"Happy Song" takes a different tack, as Danny focuses on a short percussion intro to the original mix—a soulful rock cut— and works it into a DJ tool that thumpingly rattles the walls and uses successive crescendos to build tension and release, once again showing his mastery of the incendiary tribal build- up. Although there is a notorious 12-inch edit of "Happy Song" in mono, this pressing is the first time the song has appeared on 7-inch and in stereo.
"Erucu" was originally released on a soundtrack LP in 1974, and, despite being barely more than a minute in length, quickly became an essential part of many club jocks' sets. Danny's edit is a textbook example of the art of extending a mix, as he takes tiny segments of the bass-heavy original and teases them into a building, energetic, five-minute banger.
As always, this Most Excellent release will be pressed at the highest quality, and in limited quantities.
Throughout this landmark year of Krivit's auspicious career, look out for more in Most Excellent Unlimited's series of sevens charting Danny's trailblazing path through dance music, as well as special 45s-only sets Mr. K will be adding to his already diverse repertoire.

The debut vinyl release of Detroit underground mainstay Sterling Toles features tracks produced between 1998 and 2006, recently unearthed by Sector 7-G Recordings. Sterling emerges from a scene of producers that prided themselves on sampling distressed vinyl and lo-fi analog production as a reflection of the mental and physical environment of the post-industrial city. Sterling carries that sonic dialect with him as he nomadically incorporates the language of other genres, variously exploring soul, ambient, Detroit techno, and folk sensibilities. From the ambient/folk impressions of "grace, i will now let go..." to "inga 135" sounding like 90's jazz-inspired hip-hop having a ghettotech dream, "Archival Arteries" is grounded in the sonic palette associated with Detroit's ethereal and minimalist boom bap hip-hop style. These tracks hold the imprints of Detroit's expansive musical institutions such as The Electrifying Mojo, The New Dance Show, and CBC radio's Brave New Waves. Created with just an Ensonic EPS sampler and a VS 1880, this EP captures the fluid musings of this indelible artist

A1 Yes, another killer cut on ZR. Zo!'s gorgeous soul tune featuring Eric Roberson and Phonte gets subtly housed up mix by Dave Lee.
A record you'll be hearing all summer at more musically inclined parties across the world.
A2 Jakatta's house classic American Dream gets a very cool bassline driven remix from Andre Crom & Chi Thanh...
B1 New and unreleased....
B2 Akabu feat. Alex Mills "Everybody Wants Something" was an enormous tune for many in 2013 and is still getting played by big name dj's in bustling nightclubs around the world.
Now we give you an off the chain/on point/un-believable remix from Rhemi. We're not going to describe the nuances of the remix and highlight why the aforementioned big name djs like dropping the track in their sets at cool clubs/festivals/corporate events but its pretty bloody good...

"When We Were Astronauts" is Twardowski's third solo outing on U Know Me Records and his first full-length LP. The album started as an exercise in creating an alternative soundtrack to a certain sci-fi movie - sketches for the tracks were laid out as illustration to particular scenes and sequences from the movie. Eventually, as the sketches started to form an album, the concept evolved into an impression about childhood dreams, manifested by the yearning to become an astronaut. All this is heavily filtered by the artist's 80's nostalgia and unconditional love for sci-fi movies, especially the kitschy ones.
Sonically, the album builds on Twardowski's formula for the previous two EPs: take some samples, add a truckload of synths and mold until a modern take on boogie forms. Touches of broken beat and cheesy 80s arpeggios are added to complete the sci-fi theme of the album.
Both sides of the LP feature vocal tracks: Borys Dejnarowicz appears on side A with a sort of a theme song for the album and side B features Misia Furtak in a lullaby for spacemen. The limited edition vinyl (300 copies) features a beautiful gatefold cover, designed by famous Polish designer Edgar Bak.

Hot on the heels of their last outing on the label back in October, MAT.JOE are back on their regular MOTHER RECORDINGS label. This time the acclaimed Berlin duo serve up two more sizzling house cuts that are guaranteed to make a big impact.
Germans MAT.JOE have been taste making producers and DJs for a while now. They release on fine labels like Hot Creations, Toolroom and Gruuv but save their best for Mother, as is the case again here.
The first cut is JUNGLE FEVER, a slick and atmospheric affair with silvery and slithering percussive loops, deep and rubbery drums and the sort of emotive female vocals that really send crowds wild. Clever effects and lovely, glossy melodies and vocal chants add a summery, humid feel and all in all it makes for a sure fire winner.
The flip is MUSIC ON, a more boisterous jam with pinging toms and kicks bounding about with tons of energy below. Another expert vocal sample really adds flame to the fire and lots of subtle FX and filter tweaks really make this one jump out of the speakers. House music never sounded so fresh!
All in all, this EP finds both MOTHER RECORDINGS and MAT.JOE in fine form once again.

After his latest intermezzos on Claude VonStroke´s Dirtybird and Riva Starr´s Snatch! Berlin House veteran DAVID KENO is back on our imprint with a smashing two tracker EP. DAVID KENO does what he do best, delivering massive club bangers. Here we present MOONSHINE EP!
MOONSHINE
What a hell of club tune! Straight up bouncy, hard kick, driven hats with an energetic build up to the climax. A super long break and ecstatic break pays an hommage to the good old rave days. Pure underground club feeling here!
ANOTHER DAY
A rising arp and crunchy drum loop tease the groove until the hook, bass and beat explode out of the first break after a long fade in of a seductive female voice! The energy builds through the track with a heavy bassline and rough vocal cuts until the massive main break provides the payoff with all hands reaching for the ceiling, yeeah!

Groove Line Records release the first in a series of officially licensed disco remix 12's. Starting with two exceptional disco remixes of the Change classics, It's A Girl's Affair' and Searching', by Mike Maurro, whose recent The Mike Maurro Peak Hour Remixes box set has cemented the New York producer's reputation as one of the most respected disco remixers on the scene right now.
As one of the most innovative dance groups of the early 1980s Change scored several , disco and pop hits including the number one disco classics, A Lover's Holiday' and The Glow Of Love,' and helped launch the solo career of Luther Vandross due to his exceptional vocal performance on another of the group's number one disco hits, Searching.'
Side A features It's A Girl's Affair (Mike Maurro Disco Remix),' also included as an exclusive track on Groove Line's 2CD Change Anthology Reach For The Sky from 2015. Originally released on the groups debut album The Glow Of Love from 1980, It's A Girls Affair' features the powerhouse vocals of the legendary Jocelyn Brown as she sends out a rallying call to the girls' to take over the dance floors of the world above a dynamic, sophisticated euro dance groove complete with futuristic synth swells and dramatic breakdowns. The Mike Maurro Remix brings out all the best elements of the original recording creating a tight, punchy disco interpretation.
Side B features Searching (Mike Maurro Disco Remix),' the track famed for introducing Luther Vandross's velvet tones to a wider audience on both sides of the Atlantic. Regarded as the quintessential Vandross vocal performance Searching,' also from debut album The Glow Of Love, heralded a new era in R&,B/Dance due to both the fully realised melodic story of the lyric and the (at the time) unorthodox, rolling dance floor groove created by Change. Maurro employs his signature remixing styles to mesmerising effect here allowing the dancer to become immersed in the groove as each element is added at just the right time in order to keep propelling the track forward before every care is given to allow Vandross's faultless and encapsulating vocal to take centre stage.

Youandewan makes his Voyage debut with Luna Via, a three track EP sitting comfortably at home, above the ether.
The opening piece is spread across the A side, with two separate interpretations, 'Ciel' and 'Vessel'. 'Ciel' is the faster, uplifting predecessor to 'Vessel', which remains slow and nostalgic. On the flip, a touch of familiarity with the antonymously named Stranger (Glad Eye), a surging take on house music and Youandewan's various influences.
Luna Via is also accompanied by a full sleeve interpretation by Melbourne's Sprinkles.

- A perfect blended mixture of real instrument playing and sampling, Uffe concocts a delicious menu across the entire EP.
- Clearly a product of many influences, Uffe demonstrates his full range of artistry with vocalized tracks on the A side by himself and dub analog studio pressure on the B side.
- 'As Long As It lasts' and 'When There Is No Sun' both show Uffe as the Lothario crooner that one he can be. On EP title track "Whose Life" Uffe channels Arthur Russell with his off kilter slightly out of tune at times nonchalant attitude. Forget auto tune, this is European soul music.
- In the middle of Last Call the record does a 180 and changes its direction, only to return later towards the last half of the final track, bookmarking the EP.
- His vocals sound like Caribou one moment and Arthur Russell the next.
- Uffe is currently sitting in his studio, Vaping.
Drew x

Following up the scorching debut release Another Night, Deep&Disco Recordings sidesteps the sophomore slump with Elisco, an infectious electro-funk groover that both cements the label's commitment to quality and expands their musical range.
A chunky nu-disco track with hints of Metro Area and a catchy vocal hook, the seeds of Elisco were planted in the early 2000's when label founder JKriv and Lou Teti were sharing a loft space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After an afternoon of cowbells and synths, the skeleton of the track had its shape, and their other roomate's girlfriend was enlisted to sing the hook. She had no singing experience (or rhythmic sense) to speak of, but somehow it all worked and Elisco was born! Although it's always been a personal favorite of the producer duo, the song remained shelved for almost 7 years until they dusted it off in early 2011 and readied it for release on the newly minted Deep&Disco Recordings.
Providing remixes for the vinyl release are the legendary Leftside Wobble, who turns in an extended and bpm'd-up version quite true to the original, taking the machine vibes to the next level with added loops and fx. Brighton's Alphabet City brings the disco-boogie sensibility to the package with a deep mix that features JKriv on live bass, and Whiskey Disco regular Sleazy McQueen rounds it out with an indie dance stomper.
The digital release will also include a live guitar'n'bass-heavy mix from the one and only Munga, and a balearic synth exposition from Germany's nu disco kings Space Ranger.

15 years after its original release back in 2000 we managed to get hold of of a few archive copies of - Smart Dust , the debut album of the former Cologne-based electronic supergroup consisting of Dr. Walker, Freddy Fresh, Wulfmanson, Thee Joker, Nik Frost, M.Flux, LL Nino, Frank Heiss, Thomas Thorn and Mike O'Connell.
Together this amazing collective explores the realms of BigBeat, Downtempo, TripHop and Electro on a stunning 14-track gatefold double LP that introduced elements of Jazz and World Music to the electronic scene many years before these influences became widely recognized in the electronic mainstream. A classic, groundbreaking record!

At last! This one took literally years to piece together. Does Dennis Bovell need an introduction I think not but in case you don't know, he is a musical polymath, top flight producer, dub legend and one of the finest artists the UK has ever produced.
Optimo Music has worked with Dennis before when he went into Green Door studios and dubbed out Golden Teacher to the max. This Disco Plate EP was already in the works before then but various circumstances caused it to take until now to see the light of day.
In 1981 Dennis released his solo album, "Brain Damage". A double album that fused afro beat, funk, dub, jazz, blues and styles that have still to be genre-fied, it went over most people's heads and is now a mainly forgotten masterpiece.
From that album we present on the A side, the magnificent "Heaven", a disco dub afro-sound dance floor bomb that somehow manages to sound more current today than it did 35 years ago. Also included is a slightly edited version that removes some of the vocals to focus on the groove a little more.
On the AA side is the legendary "Escape Goat Dub". Back in 1981, Dennis Bovell was perhaps thee hot producer of the day. Epic Records put Dennis in the studio with singer songwriter Garland Jeffreys to work on his new album. It turned out Mr. Jeffreys was a big dub fan so most of the studio time was spent doing wild dub tracks instead of the singer song writer type tracks the label was anticipating. The wildest of those was "Escape Goat Dub" which must be up there in the greatest dubs ever to shake the world. The label was patently at a loss as to what to do with it so stuck it out as a promo only 12" in France, and there it lay forgotten. After a long search Twitch picked up a copy in Rennes a few years back and got permission from Mr. Bovell and Mr. Jeffreys to put it out again. It's not an expensive record or a mega rare record, just little known and definitely deserving to be heard by new ears. Epic dub abounds.
The AA2 is "Smouche", another track from "Brain Damage"; 3 minutes of dub, funk inflected Moogy summery joy.
