Minimal house supergroup Mandar have been on a roll since they launched Oscillat back in 2014, but this release ranks among their highlights to date. The dream team of Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie and S.A.M originally released "Poisoned Words" as the B side to their String Theory 12" in May 2018, and now they revisit the track with a double dose of remixes from none other than Ricardo Villalobos. The minimal overlord lives up to expectations on both flips of the original track, finding a singular voice within the context of minimal techno, needling into the tiniest sonic details and holding down an insistent groove that will sit beautifully in the mix. The A side features a simmering version that revels in wriggling sound design with ample space to flex and mutate, while the B side stretches out into a quintessential Villalobos wormhole of a remix. Unmissable sonics from one of the scene's true legends.

Fresh off the release of his 'Cosmo EP' earlier this year, longstanding label stalwart Fetisch reignites the fire with 'Singularity EP' - the second EP from the forthcoming Terranova album. A six-tracker featuring four original cuts plus a pair of remixes from Seattle's Pezzner and Istanbul's Rising Star Alican along with collaborations with Sifa (Congo) & Ivory (Milan). The outerspace'y stomp of Terranova's prime versions of 'Cosmochord' feat Flashmob and 'Cosmocode' feat Voltague, both lifted from his latest outing Cosmo EP, resonates deep into the grooves of the present platter, whilst the ethereally hypnotic vibe of 'Let It Fail' (feat. Sifa & Ivory), with its brittle percussions and slow-scudding pad tapestries, as well as the left-of-centre, hovering electro of 'Powergrid' draw in a further zero-G atmospheric vein and 'Sophia (Ode to a Robot)' are tailored for dawn-time party communion and intense stargazing momentums. All of these tracks are inspired by Fetisch's obsession with the current developments in creating artificial intelligence and robotic technology and his ambition to add androids to the impressive list of humanoid guests of the Terranova Soundsystem.

Already quite the jacking pumper, 'Cosmochord' gets a further menacing treat with Pezzner at the controls - ramming the doors of the club by means of loud kicks and lusty piano chords - each of them pounding with the impact of an apposite Glasgow kiss. Meanwhile Alican takes 'Cosmocode' further into Saturnian confines, densifying the minimal backbone of the track with an extended battery of arpeggios, bleeps and middle-eastern percussions thrown in for good measure. With the rolling techno shuffle of 'Escape Ism' and stuttering rhythmic engineering of 'Tempelhof' (the 'Terranova Maschinenraum' studio is located inside Berlins old airport). Fetisch loops the loop on a pulsating note, expanding the mind to horizons both poetic and physical - further establishing his unmatched sound signature.

Long-standing FUSE mainstay Rich NxT makes a long-awaited return to Hot Creations this October with the Vibewise EP. The three-tracker marks his debut solo release on the label, having featured as remixer on the imprint previously.

The A-side sets off with Roll On and the title signifies the exact nature of the track. A chuggy, groove-paced creeper, borrowing a unique vocal hook from UK hip hop protagonist Einstein. Rich’s hallmark style leaves few prisoners in its wake, as swinging bass tones open into the techy sounds of Papermill. Gritty basslines meld into whirring synth pulses before the title track brings things to a close, with stripped-back percussion residing next to loopy kick-hat combos throughout.

As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich NxT played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. Elsewhere, the DJ / producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints, NxT Records and What NxT.

Aurea Music Lab reaches its fourth release commanded by Marcos Coya, Ultrahigh, Delorean and Aleexe, delivering again four different weapons oriented to the dancefloor.

The Uruguayan producer Marcos Coya opens this EP with “Shadows”, a super groovy track full of acid and sitting trance synths that will make clubbers fly high on a ruling melody that is constantly moving.
For the ones that doesn´t know, “Scoville” is the unit for measuring spiciness, and this track by Ultrahigh is full of it. Expect heavy low frequencies dancing alongside spooky melodic synths and classic 909 drums.

On the B side, a smooth and playful trip from Delorean's “Designated Driver” ruled by different elements that come along together making every second of this track full of groove and happy melodies count.
Lastly Aleexe comes into play with “Effluence”, where you'll find some special soundscapes and extremely dynamic vibes. Pumping bassline, gated synths and swingy percussions on it are capable of moving even your grandma´s feet..

Having impressed with his 2019 debut album on Negentropy, the breaks/tech-house/minimal techno fusion of Rhythm Tension, Zweizig has been given a chance to showcase his wares on Constant Sound's popular Constant Black offshoot. The headline attraction is undoubtedly opener 'Manipulate Our Reflections', a spaced-out chunk of hypnotic late-night science that wraps wonky, Villalobos style electronic noises and pulsing pads around a locked in (but also surprisingly swinging) tech-house groove. Relic provides a chunkier and groovier remix that boasts darker noises and a more beefed-up sound, while bonus cut 'Vvoid' is a twisted, undulating acid-jacker.

Sex Tapes From Mars second outing into space comes from 28-year-old Parisian, Muelsa, delivering four high-octane club thrillers.

A1 - 'Across The Pampa' is spacious in old school lighting, relying on a deep-set rapidly shifting bassline and carnivalesque sample twangs to lift it to a melodic yet high-energy EP starter. This is the kind of track the could as easily be the last and first record at a party.

'Wild Nights' brings what it states in the title; grizzly low end, tinkering upper keys that shimmer psychedelic. The notes that the first breakdown brings paired with that vintage vocoder will give even the most stush raver goosebumps.

On the flip, 'No Joke (G-Knews Mix)' despite the playful sampling perhaps brings the deepest, if not certainly freakiest cut on the record. It combines elements of NY house with rolling nu-school acid and arduous, bumpy drum work.

To close things off, 'Pretty Little Monsters', further bends b-lines and star-line synth twinkles with a maliciously satisfactory attack on the senses. There are cinematic squeals at nearly every frequency, making for a full-bodied finale to a very well rounded second release on this exciting new label.

Constant Sound co-owner James 'Burnski' Burnham delivers a stonking pair of garage-flecked house tracks that offer up no nonsense dancefloor attitude in spades. 'Shout' is all about its monster rhythmic framework, with economic splashes of synths on the side simply maintaining the flavour and a properly full on old skool breakdown. Flip track 'Remember' leans a little further towards UK garage with its sugar sweet female vocal snippets, but the central groove hustles and bustles along with maximum weightiness, making it suitable for any number of differing dancefloors.

Orizont is the new vinyl imprint from the Romanian DJ Tiberiu, culminating several years of touring and crossing paths with like-minded artists. Orizont 01 gathers four tracks from his friends Kirik, Yuda, Cojoc, and Zgaav, passionate artists keen on the reduced aesthetics of dance music.

Four tracks that aim at different dancefloor moments spanning from the warm morning after-hours to the euphoria-infused peak-time moments: Kirik's exquisitely warm rolling grooves, Yuda's elastic basslines, and quirky bass stabs; the slightly paranoid, beat-repeated synth cuts and acidic grooves of Cojoc; And the expansive atmospheres and full-bodied basslines of Zgaav.

The first time I heard of Mattes Schwarz, someone called him 'Stecken-Mattes'. Stecken was a defining, if almost secret, Cologne dance music venue of the 2000s and early 2010s, a minuscule basement without curfew and seemingly any other restrictions, where the up to twelve hour long DJ-sets felt like a tightly knit circle of friends just playing records to each other: The selectors from the night before and the one after reliably sitting right in front of the just over one meter long stretch of the bar that formed its booth, never missing out on a chance to see their mates play, heads nodding and hands clapping through the smoke-filled air, until someone started to sing along, and eventually everyone got up for a few hours of moves on the 15 square meter dancefloor, on a grey Wednesday or Saturday morning at 7 or just as well 10 am.
Mattes Schwarz started DJing in 1982 at age twelve, inspired by, as many West-German kids, the GI-DJs of the roller skating rinks around US army bases. While he got heavily involved in Cologne's BMX scene of the 90s, he never really stopped, and during the main years of being known as Stecken-Mattes and playing there each Friday night, he coincidently lived in Magazine record's homebase, North- Eastern Cologne's old harbour.
One day after Stecken's closure had sent restructuring ripples through the city - I imagine him getting up in the morning and taking a deep breath - he decided to send Magazine a few tracks.

Noraj Cue returns home to Happy Camper Records to introduce his latest musical adventure ‘Inner Glitch’, a fantastic full length album series. It comes as an emblematic sampler on vinyl followed by a trilogy of digital releases.

This Dutch artist likes organic sounds filled with real world dust and compelling grooves. He explores every corner of the house realm and always makes musical stories that keep you locked. Constantly tinkering with drum and synth, Noraj Cue has applied his unique talent for experimentation to one studio and one album.

And in a career that spans 15 years, his creative touch has impacted the EP's of Tale and Tone, Katermukke and Connaisseur Recordings.
Noraj Cue offers up a musical thesis with Inner Glitch. He explores what he posits is the three aspects that comprise the being of human beings. He suggests that in life we are either presenting our outer self (polished, camouflaged, rehearsed), our inner self (vulnerable, protective, emotional) or our core self (connected to life itself and fundamental to the fulfillment of our self-expression).

His music explores the amorphous space of each self and the indistinct places they meet. "Your feelings and perceptions, is that you? Or are these them?” The exploration of which has taken this courageous artist on a musical epic. And now, simply by closing your eyes after hitting play, so can you. Things kick off with the lush deep house synth-scapes of 'This Won't Last' and take in wonky melodic grooves.

Tim Jackiw of Ukrainian/Australian descent grew up in Adelaide, where he is making impressive sounds on his Amiga 500 computer since the early nineties. As the techno scene thrived during that period he began to explore the cities clubs and radio stations and contributed with DJing and numerous radio shows up till 2005 when he moved to Melbourne for a permanent home. Since then he has been producing and releasing on many quality labels and running his own underground label "Offworld Records Australia"

The Amnesia EP is a follow up to 2019’s successful "Monuments" LP containing 4 tracks of deep, dubby and moving aquatic housey techno. Lucid takes us down a mysterious corridor of twilight space and fleeting hypnagogic imagery, deep basses and layered percussion threaded with Tim's signature live improvisation throughout. Next up is Amnesia the title track with its haze and watery backdrop taking us through a long distant fragmented memory, a broken and decayed film reel recalled through lush expanded pads and rich strings. Side B lifts us up into Pillars of Creation, a deep space cosmic interpretation of universal birth. Finishing off the EP is Gravity loss a funky string laden exploration using off beat percussion and slivers of delayed melody swimming through the atmosphere of some distant planetary sky we can only imagine.

FOR04 kicks off with a contribution from the London based duo, Kassian. Joe & Warren's partnership is both prolific and diverse. Over a short period of time, they've amassed an impressive back catalogue with in-demand releases on labels such as Phonica White, Heist and their own imprint Faux Poly. Never the ones to rest on their laurels, they continue to quest for the new cutting-edge sound and deliver it here with a track titled 'Parallel'. It is an elastic minimalist driven groover, that mergers a perfect proportion of acid synth lines with taut drum workout. The end result is sure to keep your locked in on that dance floor.A

Next up we have Casey Spillman with aptly titled 'Full Circle'. In a short period of time Casey's distinct groove laden output has landed him with releases on Fuse, Constant Sound and Locus to name but a few. For some who know their labels that list alone is enough to provoke an involuntary movement in the extremities. Wait till you make the 'Full Circle'! The groove here is locked in the well pronounced ringing drum shuffle and is accentuated by the opaque yet dreamy dubbed out chords and scattered vocal chops. Add a freight train of a baseline provided in the mix and you can guaranty a healthy rumble on the dance floor.A

Flip and awe! 'Hour Glass' is a bomb of rare dance floor destructive power. Crafted by the label's curator Luther Vine and modular wizard Gregorio Soave, prior to its release on wax 'Hour Glass' has been tested as a secret weapon on most main & unsuspecting dance floors of UK's capital. The result is consistently spectacular.AARight from the start the dubbed up relentless moogy bassline aims for the jugular and takes you on a hypnotic bender of a trip. The next release on LIZ EDWARDS – SWAG CLASSIC LABEL is from LEN LEWIS. Len needs no introduction as he was one of the true originators of the early Tech-House sound. Releasing many classics on labels like SWAG – POODLE and his own imprint JOMO. The two cuts featured on this release are – DARK CAVERN. Which originally came out on Poodle Records in 2002, and was recorded upstairs at SWAG records, in the SWAG studio, and was a firm favourite of DJ MATTHEW B. It was also bit of an anthem at all those early London parties and clubs, Like THE END – WIGGLE & KERFUFFLE. The next cut is BAR-B-QUES & BALLGAMES. This came out on SWAG RECORDS in 1999 and was one of Len’s first releases. Both of these tunes, together, would set you back about £60 on Discog’s for a mint copy, but here we have them both on one 12’ - both re-mastered and sounding better than ever. Only 300 pressed so don’t sleep on this.

The latest transmission from Aesthetic is a various artists 12" that introduces some fresh names as well as welcoming some familiar ones. Dudley Strangeways is up first with "Mutual Core", a soothing balm of a deep house production with a hazy late morning mood. Loht Vostok ramps thing sup with "La Luz", a crisp and uptempo tech house trip with mellow synth parts to offset the urgency of the drums. TIJN takes things in a decidedly subtle direction with the gentle lull of "Amorpheus", and then Jean Bressan gets into a seriously immersive groove on the shimmering "Apartment 303".

LA born, Berlin based Huerta drops a real gem of an e.p. here in the form of 'Amaso', showing just how polished a producer he has become. The title track gives off an air of Italian dream house coupling an immersive rhythm with sweeping chord progressions and luscious keys. 'Fake Leather Whatever' builds on that nostalgic feeling, marrying a timeless breakbeat with cosmic pads and blissful piano melodies. On the B side, 'Don't Be Gentle, It's A Rental' ventures down a more hard hitting path with the dancefloor definitely at the front of Huerta's mind, whilst still maintaining that atmospheric feel. Finally, bringing it back full circle, 'Reverse Thread' layers those emotive elements with an otherworldly synth line which draws you deep into an irresistible melting pot of grooves.

Decay lead from the front once more with Decade Made 7, another vital various artists EP which marks the label’s 7 year anniversary and features red hot underground talents Mihai Popoviciu, James Dexter, Christian Burkhardt and Ray Mono.

The goal of Decay Records has always been to push quality, hypnotic, dubby grooves withoutfocusing on trends or hype, something they have done consistently since their launch in 2013 and continue to do here with their 7th birthday release, Decay Made 7.

Kicking off this latest VA from the label is Romanian Mihai Popoviciu, considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today. He opens with ‘Biology’, a bubbly, deep cut groove with slick hits gliding up top. It’s a track full of warmth that sinks you into a glazed-eye reverie. Dessous, Lefroom and Inermu associate James Dexter is a young but vital talent who represents the new wave of artists that are simmering in the London deep house underground. His ‘And Then’ has long legged, dubbed out kick drums that make for a cavernous groove, whilst smeared, warped chords fill in the spaces and ensure an ever-headier atmosphere as things roll on.

Christian Burkhardt has long been at the heart of the freshest tech house, putting out his well-designed loops on mainstay labels. Here he serves up ‘Quanta’, an icy-cool track with tripped out sonic details and sci-fi effects that make for real mind music. Last of all, former Mono_Cult resident and now Fuse and Moxy Music associate Ray Mono brings his expert minimal to the EP with ‘Uncut.’ It is a tough, bumping cut with razor sharp design and a pristine sense of late night funk finished with neon synth colours.

These are four perfectly designed and infectious tracks that are both slick and compelling.

Matthias Meyer and a trio label of debutants make up the fourth instalment of the much-loved ‘Watergate Affairs’ series.
Initiated in 2016, the series assembles a collection of top-quality tracks that otherwise could not fit into Watergate’s busy release schedule, such is the strong pool of music the label draws from.
Emerging Dutch producer Budakid joins the label with ‘Orrery’, after previously making an impact with cuts on Last Night On Earth, Einmusika and Lost & Found. The track’s dreamy soundscapes and otherworldly energy make for a transcendental mood maker. Matthias Meyer is suitably superb with ‘Interlude’, as delicate strings and a muffled melody line gently wash against a shore of sparse beats. Henri Bergmann & Julian Wassermann link for ‘Maenad’, as punchy grooves bring the EP into peak-time territory as a multilayered chord pattern hits with a satisfying headrush. Danish artist Nandu rounds out the package with ‘My Mystery Is A Mystery’. It’s the kind of succulent end-of-nighter every set needs as uplifting pads, stirring keys and a buttery bassline glide together in sweet unison.

As the System Error tree extends its branches, a new concept is born, Fresh Tunez - a safe haven for dancefloor dynamic beats from an array of shining producers under the System Error radar. Inaugurating the Berlin based project is Fantasy Attitude and Polarity founder, Luca Piermattei. Quirky and innovative sound structures from the Italian producer, quilted with unique emotion, yet infectious funk.
