The second release from an ongoing, organic collaboration of two acclaimed artists in their own fields - DJ/producer Marcus Worgull and British singer-songwriter Fink - again results in something beautiful and undeniably iconic..

After his 'All Gone Pete Tong Ibiza 2014' compilation with Tensnake, Pete Tong releases his first EP on Suara with UK Producer John Monkman titled "The Bumps". John Monkman, who also goes under the aliases PinkNoize and Flip Flop, uses progressive elements coupled with 80's like synths, which gives his productions quite the unique flair. His work also takes into account the technical side of production and he carefully constructs each element using the science behind sound design and production. He's already been touted as a producer to watch out for with releases on labels such as Warung and Get Physical Music, so it was only fitting for him to collaborate with Pete Tong to give you this tasty track.

The original, with a well-constructed bassline incorporates a warm up melody that begins to set the tone for the night ahead. Each layer is distinct as the track begins to build itself right to its crescendo when each of those individual layers collectively come together. You can distinctly hear the 80's like synths that are cleverly inserted into the track which are highlighted by the female vocal samples. The grittier elements add a touch of darkness and instantly transport you to a warehouse club with an intimate atmosphere.

The remix, done by the widely loved tech-house duo Pleasurekraft jack up the tempo a notch, and add a bouncy groove to the track. Where the original brought out a darker side, the remix is more upbeat and settles in well for a peak hour set. Bringing that crisp bassline to the fore, and tuning out the melodies to make them a tad subtler it showcases a more tech-house version of the original. There's an added element a slightly more haunted vibe which is coupled together with those gritty and harder elements. All I can conclude is what a tech-house bomb this is from the highly talented Pleasurekraft. They always manage to bring something new and unique to every single track they've ever remixed which truly shows their remarkability as consistently good producers.

Next up on Just Jack recordings, Simoncino takes you on one hell of a journey, through two straight up dance floor destroyers... the lead tracks 'Come With Me Bebe' and 'Acid Life' which thump and twist along, with sparse synths and heavy baselines causing pure ecstasy as they pump their way into your blood stream!

And then exploring more experimental territory with three shorter jams (Afrikan I, II & III) which take you through tribal rhythms, chants, screams and a hell of a lot of other weird and wordly shit, before he puts you to bed with the beautiful 'Ambient Deep'. You will need it after listening to this EP. Get ready to sweat!

Well, we know absolutely nothing about this brand new edits label, nor the artist behind it, so in wonderfully cliched fashion, the music is left to do the talking. What we do know is that Harri Pierson must have a penchant for classic house because that's the vibe of the A-side 'Bananas'. It has retro-future vibes, a pitched-up rave vocal, and lively piano chords over shiny metallic drums. It's a real bouncer with hints of Italo madness, then 'Funk Rail' is a more worldly affair with Indian-sounding melodies, rich layers of instrumental funk and jostling, loose-limbed drums. What a scorcher.

Berlin-based French selector Shonky adds a new dimension to his music career with the launch of his brand new label, Stoned Pilot. Inspired by his love of collaboration, the platform will focus exclusively on collaborative projects with each new release. At his studio in Berlin Shonky has assembled a mouthwatering array of equipment; vintage synths, drum machines and sequencers. The set up allows him to cultivate a highly creative atmosphere - a playground for those who visit - and the resulting productions exude the kind of energy that you typically find during liberating jam sessions. Shonky cites the studio, and its many playthings, as a key part of his growth as an artist. While everyone he invites to join for a session leaves feeling invigorated by the experience.

On the first release he appears with Otis, an Italian producer who lived in the same building as him. Through lockdown the two men became better acquainted and they decided to hit the studio together. The result is the Humanizer EP, featuring four cuts that encompass the merging of Shonky and Otis’ individual styles into one cohesive body of work. On the EP the duo delve into the deeper side of the dance floor, utilising bass, rhythm and energy to explore varying styles and tempos, tinged with an air of mystery.

So the stage is set, Stoned Pilot heralds a new phase in Shonky’s career, from global tours, to his exemplary back catalogue and now label owner with a core ethos centred on creative collaboration.

Enigmatic Italian house connoisseurs Quasar and Cristo join the Lost Palms catalogue with a 4-track collaboration which touches base at tech house, deep house and all the flavours in between. Bursting onto the scene in 2017 with the widely-recognised 'Lovesongs' EPs, Quasar has since been perfecting his craft. His collaboration with Cristo sees the two depart somewhat from the lofi sensibilities which have characterised their music so far, instead favouring a harder-hitting and more diverse sound destined for the club.

Kicking things off is big-room banger 'Ginga', propelled by a fierce tech house beat and assertive arpeggios. 'Non Ce Ne Importa Piu' takes things down a notch, paying homage to the respective antecedents of each producer's musical career with a lofi quality and a hypnotic melody. Euphoric piano stabs and diva-esque vocals power the hands-in-the-air sunshine slammer '(It's) Over' before 'Good For You' takes things deep, closing the EP on a cool tone and proving the duo's versatility.

Following on from the success of Capriati's album Self Portrait, 4 tracks have been hand selected by some of techno's hottest producers. Dubfire, Coyu, Julian Jeweil, Luigi Madonna have each incorporated the same feeling that Joseph laid out in his original productions, but have added a unique twist that breathes a new lease of life into the tracks.

As the London-based NorthSouth Records enter their fifth year they also arrive at their tenth release. After a run of artist EPs NSR returns to the split format to deliver 4 tracks from two of the label’s founding members; Sam Bangura and Harry McCanna.

On the North side we hear Sam’s first cuts pressed to vinyl for the imprint. Shining with his characteristic sound of bubbling melodies, refined grooves and tied together with a growling low end, ‘Jaspe’s Groove’ and ‘Marble Leg’ are two driving tunes aimed straight for those facemelting late-night moments.

Heading down to the South side we catch Harry working again under his alias Henry Hyde. ‘More Days Inside’ starts things off on something of a mellow tip, whilst still being a functional track for the dance floor. ‘Wading Through’ on the other hand offers up shuffling percussion, spacey synth plucks and one of Harry’s signature squirmy, swarming basslines.

It’s an EP that showcases some of the signature NorthSouth sounds and who better for it to come from than two of it’s own.

Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records steps into 2022 with Brain De Palma’s second EP for the label, Purple Brain.

Although this is only his second release under the Brain De Palma name, Alexei Versino has been honing his sound for the best part of a decade, both solo (as Panama Keys) and as one half of the duo Stump Valley, previously releasing on labels like Dekmantel, Soul Clap and Off Minor. Born in Ukraine but settling as a child in Turin, he’s currently based in Berlin and makes up a key part of the Gudu stable.

Coming straight out the gate with an instantly impactful bassline, opening track ‘IQarus’ sets the tone for the rest of Purple Brain: bold melodies and basslines shot in high-definition, full of detail and idiosyncrasies. As with his last EP for Gudu, cinema is a key reference for Brain de Palma: ‘IQarus’ is a reference to his directorial namesake’s first film, while later in the EP, ‘(O.W.D.) Once Were Dancers’ nods to the 1994 drama Once Were Warriors, “dedicated to all the ravers, DJs, aficionados who had to go through the lockdowns … a shout out to people who keep on fighting for the underground culture!”

Elsewhere on the EP, ‘Purple Brain’ pairs an unforgettable arpeggio with stargazing stabs and a marching cowbell beat, while the Netherlands’ Deniro takes ‘IQarus’ into the depths of the night with a cosmic remix that grabs hold of a groove and refuses to let go.

Firing up the next heat on the prolific Partisan imprint is rising Outcast Torino affiliate, Emanuele Montalto. The “Soundboy” EP sees the innovative Italian showcase a series of animated and spaced out productions containing a certain direct energy the label associates itself with. This club room approved outing from Montalto sits comfortably on the staple outfit that Partisan has become in recent years, with Anthea continuing to build her go to label for stellar underground sounds.

H.H. - Hayet Hayati' is the second studio album of Memento and DBArtists head honcho Idriss D. Hayet, that in Arab means 'life', is thefirst name of Idriss's mother: the album is dedicated to her, who havealways been a leading a lucky star and a trustworthy shelter for theAlgerian artist.
'H.H.' is a rich summary of all his influences, devotion to music and splendour; written and produced throughout many months of hard passionate work, it shines for its variety and its consistency.
'Intro Salam' featuring Eryn Eliott from Detroit opens the ball with a
delightful blend of evocative Saharian woodwinds and chants and a steady four to the floor rhythm.
'Lost and Conscious' displays the greatest influence that street Hip Hop has been on Idriss's musical journey, and accompanies super rolling fat beats with the swinging Italian rap of Libbera and a dystopic array of synths and bass lines.
Eryn Eliott deep space spoken-word in 'Phenomenal Woman' takes us out in the sky with its fluffy atmospheres through the funkiness Middle East flavoured percussions and a blues bass guitar. Like a bolt from the blue, the title track 'Hayet Hayati' brings us with its hard kick drum, and incessant repeated stabs in the middle of a dance floor, in the rush hours. Inflaming the atmosphere with its heated vocal hooks and acid bass line.

'Call Detroit', another late time killer cut, minimalistic, funky and
full of Motor City reminiscences.
'Moody'and 'Re-Dimension'made of shuffled rhythms and futuristic vibe showcase Idriss's passion for American Techno and the big influence that has been to work with many of the Detroit GodFathers in the last years.

In a turmoil of events nightlife would change forever, and confined to their respective places - A flat in Buenos Aires and a house in the jungle Diego Irasusta, Mariano Caloso and Matias Aguayo joined forces to create new communication on distance via music.

A1. Curvas Peligrosas

With the first track it becomes clear what this is all about: Wobbly metamorphous sounds from outer space jamming with stomping and bass driven techno beats of tomorrow, a new kind of rave, hypnotic and seductive, utterly strange but wonderfully catchy and contagious in a good sense, harsh shuffled hiatus and alternating kick drums, a relentless bassline and sophisticated electronic sounds in a a permanent evolution resembling and invoking altered states of consciousness.


A2. Love Boat

This new rave anthem seems like a classic you haven’t heard about. Muscle memories from dancefloor days trigger your body as you listen on your headphones, awaiting the chance to play it out soon, hopefully, as the dance floors slowly reopen. Alternating between parts of kickdrum, clap and snare awesomeness, and the mangled rave signals that slowly morph into a more concrete melody reminiscent of ancient dreams of the future, this track has it all for the club kids of today.

B1. La Vida Loca
The title track is a tech banger that will please those who dig Kenny Larkin, Claude Young, The Surgeon, Dave Clark or any other star in the nocturnal sky of Techno Techno, as well as the lovers of DJs Pareja’s classic Cómeme Clubbangers, or the more Techno side of Mr. Aguayo. Definitely has the potential to become a huge hit if enough djs that don’t rely on algorithms get their hands on it


B2. Las Llaves

The closer is hyper modern tech funk at its best. Percussive greatness as you can find it on many Cómeme releases is triggered in a different way, “sabroso” rhythms that are played in the light and purposeful way of an elegant jazz drummer, pave the way for an always evolving psychedelic lead synth sound, that will be a useful tool for the dj who knows when to keep the groove, prolonging those magic times between the risings...

REN005 brings us 3 unreleased tracks from the SJ vaults along with a new production from 2020.

The EP opens up with the out of this world cut ‘Supernova’, featuring vocals from the man himself along with a spacey blend of beats & bass. ‘Bag Full Of Sess’ marks the return of the Stalker alias with co-producer Johnny C, first used all the way back in 2000 this one features a chunky breakbeat rhythm with plenty of smooth pads and string samples.

On the B-side, ‘Dumbo’ is a delightfully wonky and unconventional UKG cut for the afterparty. ‘Voyage’ gets straight to the point with some darker vibes and distorted basslines.

After their impressive debut on Watergate this past summer, Adana Twins deliver two stunning tracks on their 'Jupiter' EP finally curbing any anticipation of their return to the label. Johannes Volk (Exploration, Axis) delivers a debut EP for Running Back that is like a Swiss knife. Five tracks moving within the boundaries of techno music and many times well beyond those. The title track yields the way in an electric drill manner, before new wave techno, piano house and Italo tropes meets beaming electro and even a slick homage to the man referred to as the purple one. It’s hard to imagine all of that without Volk’s upbringing in the tropic of Frankfurt’s techno legacy. Owing as much to Detroit as to Depeche Mode, it is what it is and you hopefully still just can’t get enough of it.

The feeling of aligning yourself, the notion of togetherness. That is what we felt when Timothy Padilla, the man behind Montei, sent us the final drafts of the two tracks that make up the A-side of our premier release. That is also the definition of Syzygy, a global house label focusing on the kind of music that will make you lose yourself on a dance floor. Montei hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and immediately caught our eye with his minimal but groovy, melodic house music. On the B-Side Nima Gorji gives one of the tracks the sunny treatment keeping you smiling on the floor.

he fourth release by Los Pastores' label - Oblack - knows how to make the best national and international clubbing sheepfold gather and dance with its imaginary electronic sound. Now the pair formed by David Gtronic and Jethro, same difference, takes control of this new release. Gtronic is an American -Miami- producer who has become an emerging figure of the best energetic and highly groove techno that feeds on organic sounds. Also the very young Romanian artist Jethro brings a refreshing and bold vision of the most contemporary house. 'Minotauro' is based on a strong manual tech-house foundation .. no worries, now comes the good part. Suddenly the dance floor becomes a maze full of nooks, corners with traps, terrifying frights and synthetic effects which seem quite real. Listening to the Minotaur snorting in your ear when you dance every beat is precisely what David Gtronic and Jethro do with this priceless track -as wonderful and savage as the Bull of Minos, which will be played to satiety in clubs that are more maze-like than vital crossroads with just one exit.The remix by the Belgian Hermanez is committed to a more dark, mysterious and tech vision of the original track. Its development is appropriate, exquisite and underground, and seems like it has been covered with steel and concrete. It's scary, causing movement but not shaking. Serious, well-tempered, powerful, mechanical and closer to Detroit than ever. What if the famous labyrinth in Crete had been there instead Unreservedly remarkable.Meanwhile, the Romanian Mihai Popoviciu takes the 'Minotauro' out of the maze -about time too!, and that's when the sun shines and provides it with those metal, flashing and sparkling touches setting it nearer to house than in previous cases. The acid and almost electronic bubbling of this remix leads us, spite of appearances, to a corner where there is no exit but indiscriminate dancing. 123.ro has gathered a fine selection of material from ix3m and ghertz that has been tested on many dancefloors but that wasn't enough. That's why 123.ro decided to take the treasury and pass it to veterans of the industry for remixing, herck and minube.

Tristan da Cunha and Brawther's Dungeon Meat label always serve up the chunkiest cuts of juicy house music. Next to offer up some perfectly tenderized beats is Azaad with the Sonic Boom EP. 'Zest' kicks off with some infectious house swing and great height in the drums, all overlaid with chopped vocals and old school US garage pads. The title cut is more tightly woven and stripped back with alien synth sounds and 'Dub Analyser' then gets raw, percussive, and edgy with its hardcore house sound. The slinkiest of the lot is saved for last with 'Making Moves' getting right under your skin. Great stuff.

Four new tracks from Eb Flow mark the latest release from the ever prolific Constant Sound label, as ever providing solid and dependable dancefloor gear that boasts a myriad of different flavours. 'Sunshine' wastes no time setting up a strutting, Van Helden-esque groove and lets it roll, adding a few vaguely nostalgic samples on top. 'Running' has more of a breaks feel, harking back to the days of rave's roots when breaks and acid could sit together naturally rather than in different genre pigeonholes. 'Before' is the most minimal of the four, peppered with frisky garage snares and a subtle but ultimately devastating filter breakdown, while a feelgood gospel-style vocal gives the closer, 'Searching', a lovely optimistic tint. Constant Sound continue to deliver.

Following on from his remixes of Robert James' LP Battle Of The Planets, Berlin-based Klix goes in for the kill with four examples of club-friendly grooves that are big on dancefloor dynamics but also boast a delicate sensitivity to melody that's often left behind when it comes to the minimal/tech genre. Check, for instance, the distinctly understated acid undertow to 'Just Tell Me', balanced beautifully with lush, New Order-esque pads, or the almost imperceptible trails of flute left across the landscape of 'Satisfaction'. Best of all is probably 'Squanchy Thoughts' featuring Shibafu No Baga, the vocoders and synth lines rendering it like a post-rave Kraftwerk.
