Its releases aim to hypnotise listeners using all the sonic weapons at its disposal: namely rhythm, sound design, musical motif and bass. It gives DJs exclusive license to set floors on fire, igniting the best parties at any time of night or day with the distinctive sound of infectious, bond-orientated beats. Als sich das deutsch-griechische Paar Local Suicide und die aus New York City stammenden Curses in Berlin, dem Epizentrum der elektronischen Musik, trafen, war die künstlerische Chemie sofort offensichtlich. Dieses zufällige Zusammentreffen führte zu mehreren fruchtbaren Kollaborationen, wobei die jüngste "Magia" ist, eine dunkle und mysteriöse Vier-Track-EP. Diese Veröffentlichung ist die perfekte Gelegenheit für die beiden Künstler, ihre genreübergreifende Mischung aus 80er New Wave & Dark Disco, die ihren früheren Kollaborationen bereits viel Lob eingebracht hat, auf ein ganz neues Niveau zu heben.

3 years after his and Dewalta's mesmerizing Ground Effect EP Claus Voigtmann returns to HelloRepeat with 4 hypnotic deep cuts showcasing his rough elegant signature in the skill of groove making.

Under the alias 4E, producer Can Oral created his own unique sound of raw, futuristic acid-electro. The A-Side tracks "Ask Isadora" and "Conga Banana" first appeared on the album, Blue Note, released on Home Entertainment in 1996. On the flip are two unreleased tracks picked from his extensive archive and edited by FIT Siegel. These were also recorded during this era, which Can describes below:

"In the 90s I moved to NYC to start a band with Jimi Tenor. I had a small flat in the East Village with the apartment number 4E and that became my artist name for the downtempo and electro material I was working on. The style I called Futuristic Electro because I didn't want to relate to the old school with this. I had my studio on the kitchen floor and pretty much only used EMU SP-1200, TB-303, TR-808 and SH-101 by good ol’ Roland. In a way NYC was still developing because it was all about house music. In 1995, I opened Temple Records in Manhattan with Dr Walker from Air Liquide and DJ DB from Smile Communications. The record shop was inside the Liquid Sky clothing store. After a fire in the shop, along with a falling out with the owner I decided to talk to a fortune teller to find out what the future held. Her name was Isadora, and she had a TV show called "Ask Isadora." She told me on live television to move out, have my own shop and be independent, so I did. Thanks Isadora!"

Stockholm's Dungeon Acid returns with one of the strangest, nastiest acid records to date. "Carnal Knowledge" is caveman techno, one chord hammered with hypnotic precision, a two-note acid line adding an air of polyrhythmic mystery. The heavily processed sounds of copulation comprise the bulk of the atmosphere, the whole thing feeling like an alien, updated version of Lil' Louis's immortal "French Kiss". The Instrumental version is a slightly swingin' variation on the same theme. Dungeon Acid principal Jean-Louis Huhta is known for editing the sweetest parts from his hardware enduro-jams. The "Bonus Beats" title for B2 is a bit of a misnomer; in fact, these are the sounds of mutant, futuristic lovemaking in all their glory, perfect for sexing up otherwise sterile dance music. Life begins at 21. So today, it’s time to turn the page with HAWS021, and become enraptured by the mysterious musings of Admo as Haŵs enter their next phase. Out of Grenoble but based in Berlin, Adrien has been sporadically sharing his developing talents with top labels in the last few years, steadily gaining traction and strong support from tastemakers and party-goers alike.

The Elysus EP really tech’s the house down, drawing on minimal elements and classic vocal hooks, succinctly threaded and aligned through distinctive Admo characteristics. ‘Distance’ ignites the record, blending haunting chords and mischievous keys, wrapped around IDM-like clicks and wobbles and punching percussion. ‘Club Cabane’ is next, re-confirming the tech-house themes with neat, minimal beats and subtle yet iconic acid lines, permeated by a dastardly bassline of epic proportions. Track 3 is ‘Synchronising’, turning the dial up and heading towards 2023 and the nouveau styles of house music. Shuffling hi-hats and snares relay the transmission via an atmospheric essence, yet the styling harks back to A1 with its eerie, foreboding composition and acid infrastructure. The record ends with ‘One Twenny’, reinstating the iconic ‘Wiggle’ vibes and inducing a head-nodding monster of defined and mature proportions.

Sanso's debut on the prolific Wilson Records is probably the most interesting thing that happened in 2019 for all the fans of the legendary Cajual, Dance Mania, Djax-Up Beats or Peacefrog, Records. At six tracks large - three on each side - this record is a weapon for all the Djs who want to set the dancefloor on fire

Afterhours. is back with Ukrainian underground talent Silat Beksi. As expected, the 3-tracker appropriately named "Transend EP" displays a fine selection of stripped-down music prone to dancefloor introspection. 

The title track 'Transend' shows Silat's talent for creating steady, bare-boned grooves, filling the sonic space with menacing atmospheres, chopped vocals and bizarre modular squelches. Flipside's 'Monoliza' follows the same stable groove principle but applies quirky sound-design techniques reminiscent of the golden ages of microhouse for an added swing. 'Elephant Dream', the EP's closing track, swaps the four-by-four rhythms with breakbeat-infused constructions, adding just the right amount of sway for its deeply floating atmosphere.

Sun & Stars by Gossan and Pad Union, the debut vinyl release from Music Department record label, featuring four sumptuous and eclectic tracks.

Up first in the A1 spot is In 'Stars We Trust' by Gossan, an elegant progressive house number with a gorgeous aquatic build up which releases into a swell of subtly crafted drums, a warm and rumbling bass line and luxurious pads and synth refrains. The perfect opening track for a momentous debut release.

At the A2 spot is 'Solnce Zvuk' by Pad Union. A testament to the diversity of this EP, 'Solnce Zvuk' is a stylistically unique track which gives a sizable nod to 90s trip-hop and broken beat. With a groovy, syncopated break beat, a deep and potent sub bass line, not to mention an army of funky samples, 'Solnce Zvuk' will get any dancefloor moving!

Up first on the B side is 'Podsnezhniq' by Pad Union, a clever and interesting blend of break beat and 4/4 rhythms. Awash with melancholic pads, subtle synth riffs and an assortment of ethereal vocals all set to a driving bass line, 'Podsnezhniq' is a worthy contender on this formidable EP.

Finally, at B2 is 'Last Trip' by Gossan, a graceful progressive house track with a pulsing beat, gentle melodic phrases and a smooth, throbbing bass line. Add in some uplifting gaseous pads and a sprinkling of ingenuously designed vocal samples, and you’ve the perfect conclusion to a very memorable vinyl debut!

From a state steeped in house culture, Harry Romero is one of New Jersey’s finest house exports, taking control on the A-Side of this 12” with exquisite two tracker ‘I Love / The City’. Harry plays tribute to classics from the Nu Groove catalogue with his modern ‘Choo Choo’ twist he’s loved and revered for across the two tracks, with enough depth and warmth to get you in the mood. On the flip Trilogy Inc, a new anonymous project from one of the UK’s most esteemed house duos of the 80s and 90s, explore their formative influences with ‘313’ and ‘Calling’. Two tracks destined for the darker recesses of the dancefloor, this is an unmissable package for club heads after serious underground heat.

Growing up in Chicago during the early 80's, Mark - with the help of his older brother - started collecting records and DJing from his pre-teens. During high school he listened to WBMX radio mixes and was producing house tracks inside empty classrooms with his friends during lunch period. By the time Mark was a young adult having music everyone knew and liked was not good enough anymore and so he entered the endless world of searching and seeking music he had yet to discover and his music habits soon reached a level deemed as obsessive. To balance his spending habit, he found himself selling music to older peers, stores and DJs in order to afford more records for himself. This finally lead him into founding Mr. Peabody Records with Mike Cole a fellow fanatic, in 2004, aiming to become a world class resource for all genres of obscure music and indeed Mr Peabody Records became a destination point for many DJ's and Music Lovers. Sadly, the brick and mortar store closed shop in 2012. However we're lucky Mark still collects and continues to play music to dancers and clubbers around the world.

As DJs Frankey & Sandrino are used to scour platforms or infinite emails/ messages through music that fits their sets and fulfills the duo's musical demands. A recurring task the both benefit from when it comes to finding new music and artists for their label Sum Over Histories. For the label's third installment of this year Sandrino and Frankey have digged up newly founded duo Saint Is, who deliver an eclectic four-tracker called “Something In Common“ that draws on and pursues the musical history of the past six releases.

After a busy year of touring and releases in 2019, Denis Horvat is proud to announce the launch of his new label for 2020. Enter: Vokabularium. The name, carried over from Horvat's latest Innervisions release, takes on a new life. The label aims to be an immersive, perpetual story. The first release on Vokabularium will be from Horvat himself, delivering a diverse 4 song EP titled, "Extensions of Base Notes".

Joining us for the third release of Arpanet, Infinity Plus One, veteran producer coming to us from the London underworld.

Our Times EP sees the Mexico-born, Barcelona-based producer use italo as her springboard, layering MPC claps over house and breakbeat rhythms before 'Keep At It' and 'Daywalker' use hypnotic melodies to create an infectious groove.

Max Dean and Prunk come together in superb fashion for a new EP on South. It features three new cuts from Max, with a Prunk remix making it another explosive package.

Up first is Loving Saturday, a driving house track with a nagging, soulful vocal that really tugs at the heart strings. The bass is warm and the drums kick hard, but this one really has some standout emotion to it. This Party is a more loose, fluid, ducking and diving groove, with rich percussion making it a perfect late night groove. More deft vocals add some human emotion as this one drives on.

This Party (Prunk Remix) is then a nice spaced out deep house cut that has real bite. The kicks and hi hats fuse together perfectly, while balmy pads encircle the groove to bring the vibes. Last of all, Sunshine Upon the 33 is another big hearted out track with an irresistible groove. The dynamic drums never let up, while the spaced out pads work and great vocal samples all elevate the track.

This is a fantastic four track package from this new one to watch label.

Toy Tonics come up with the LOST TOY TONICS MIXES EP. These tracks came out over the last years on Toy Tonics as digital releases or bonus tracks. As they had such a great feedback now they come together on a 4 track vinyl. Folamour’s remix of french producer Mangabey was one of the biggest stream hits of both (4 mio plays till now on Spotify). Demuja made a whole Toy Tonics EP 3 years ago that pushed his career a lot... "Brissy" was a key track. Felipe Gordon made 2 EPs on Toy Tonics, but the Pontchartrain remix was released only as a bonus digital remix. And Sano, from Colombia usually releases on Public Possession. He made a one off EP with Kapote 2 yars ago. It was just a digital release back then. So here comes the massive Sabrosito Tool on vinyl finally. Sick latin house track!

Three years after Reno Wurzbacher’s entry into the series, Cook Strummer now offers up his own Berlin Gets Physical, a collection of all-new and exclusive tracks.

Berlin-based, Belgium-born Strummer has been a Get Physical associate for several years. He has dropped various singles including the standout 'Rising' which also featured on the Words Don't Come Easy series, and always crafts the perfect mix of rhythm and melody with plenty of hints of his homeland's famous cold wave sound. He often uses his own voice, drum machines, synths and guitars in his music, and since his debut album in 2018 on LOK Recordings, he has had high profile support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Adam Port and Ame. This summer, he dropped 'Atmosphere' on Obsolet Records which proved another successful outing and now Berlin Gets Physical finds him digging deep into the famous city's freshest and most essential house sounds across 15 well-sequenced tracks.

His own new offering 'For Berlin' kicks off with a dark and edgy vibe, gothic vocals and tense drums. Glitchy hits and blurting synths add to the prickly atmosphere and immediately lock you in while Los Cabra & Manuel Sahagun's 'Italian Groove' then takes off on waves of serrated dark disco synths and Freudenthal feat. Nowhere People continue that macho disco vibe with the rugged chug and cosmic rays of 'Cipher.'

The twinkling 'Bad Karma' by Marvin Jam & Le Mythe then allows you to catch your breath with a slower, more spacious dub disco sound and the twanging bass riffs and exotic effects of Daniel Jaeger & Valenti's 'Quarantine Cowboys' rebuilds the atmosphere with some innovative house blues. The mid-section brings brain-frying synth work on 'Out Of The Blue', bubbling dub house and disco courtesy of dramasquad's sprawling 'ziggy' and percussive deep house looseness from 'Abayomi.'

After KEENE's rubbery and rolling Afro sounds comes more cosmic house richness from Dan Buri and Max Joni & MUKKIMIAU, the driving tech of Red Pig Flower & Lulla and heady sounds of Mike Book. There is a raw house heaviness to FreedomB's 'State of Shock' and things shut down with Electronic Elephant's tightly coiled minimal drum funk on 'Ask Yourself'.

This on point collection is an authentic snapshot of the contemporary underground sound of the Berlin.

Increasingly known for his careful curation during his sets, Eric Cloutier has since turned his focus on overseeing his own label, Palinoia. From the Greek word meaning "the obsessive repetition of an act until it is perfect or mastered," after twenty-years of digging through shelves and collecting only the finest techno, house, and ambient, Cloutier has decided to set his sights on helping nurture the lesser known, unknown, or those just needing a helpful nudge to take their sound to a wider audience. Starting things off is an EP from Eric himself, culled from years of meticulous patience in the studio and finally deemed worthy of consumption. The Heuristic EP is a cathartic expression from Cloutier, a release of stresses and of an idea that sprang up shortly after his move from NYC to Berlin a few years ago. Ranging from the more hypnotic to mental to dubby, all three tracks provide those familiar with Eric's DJ sets with a strong sense of his style translated in to track form

Tel Aviv super group Megaphonim are bringing their off-kilter energy to Feines Tier in form of their new „Namal Ashdod“ EP with four original tracks and hell of a Simple Symmetry remix. Even though they’re all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled „After of Disaster“ with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling „Lo Titfos Oti“, which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) dj-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there’s always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. And let’s not forget about the remix! Endlessly rising duo Simple Symmetry do what they have become known for very well here: Deliver an insanely groovy and relentless weapon of a track, guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be.
