After her 2015 debut 'Uncanny Valley', hotly-tipped Dutch singer-songwriter Sofie Letitre returns to Division with a new six-track EP. Secretly in the making for 25 years, 1995 marks point zero for this native electronic side project from Rico Puestel (Cocoon Recordings, TAU, Exhibition).

Back in the days, the basic idea of pure electronic song writing, the project name "Tetzlaff" as well as tidbits of first melodic themes, motivs and lyrical notes came into being - followed by a roller coaster ride of emotions, amendments, rejections and the dreadful search for the equipment (in the days before eBay) to make it sound the way it should.

"Reisen", illuminating two perspectives and homages to travelling, is the vanguard single, performing within the prospective shadows of what's to come...

Serpente is the alias of Bruno Silva, a prolific and consistent fixture of the Portuguese scene. Silva has operated under numerous aliases throughout the years including the much loved Ondness name. With past releases on Not Waving's Ecstatic and Discrepant, among others, Silva's next release is a long awaited addition to the Alien Jams catalogue, an album called "Irmãs," Portuguese for "Sisters."

Comprising of two 17 minute tracks, both "Da Clara" and "Para Celeste" are intrinsically linked, mirroring and then inverting one another. Sisters share recurring motifs, typical of the Serpente project, both tracks artfully transform the strictest percussive forces into expressive and mind expanding mantras. Redolent of their live incarnations, Serpente gigs often involve a transformative and immersive experience, and "Irmãs," embodies this spirit, embracing melodic digression in a sustained and flowing state.

AIRCHINA is a weightless instrumental machine music, sometimes ghostly anthropomorphized with a hushed voice or a synthetic choir. AIRCHINA is playful-melodious electronic music of and for today, which also takes its cue from global ambient and pop music from the end of the 1970's to the end of the 1980's. AIRCHINA is a solo project by Nikolai Szymanski. 'LP 2' is his second release, his debut album 'LP 1' was released in summer 2018 on ITALIC.

Nikolai Szymanski (*1986, Düsseldorf) is an artist living and working in Cologne and Düsseldorf, Germany. He uses a wide variety of media with a focus on film/video, performance and music - whereby all areas give each other impulses. In a narrower artistic framework (exhibition, gallery) he stages his works site-specifically and installatively. Performative interventions (for example at BER - Berlin Brandenburg Airport, Summer 2019) from the soft transition to his musical work.

Together with Lucas Croon and Martin Sonnensberger Nikolai Szymanski is a founding member as well as singer of the band Stabil Elite. After concerts in China, Szymanski created the video work AIRCHINA, the title he uses as a name for his current solo project; in his musical work Nikolai Szymanski is responsible for composition, lyrics, production, singing and performance, paying attention to a stringent appearance from cover design to stage appearance.

Electronic four-piece Big Yawn invites five revered artists to reconstruct their debut album No!, originally released in March 2020 through Research Records.

The remixes convey a unique combination of darker textures and brooding sounds, clearly indebted to their source material.

The release features interpretations from Sleep D, Jay Glass Dubs, Maria Moles, Bullant and Raymond Scottwalker.

Rhythm merchants Sleep D (Butter Sessions) up the tempo and weave their signature expansive production in their fearless take on 'Reflex'.

Like a drift into a warm gorge, percussionist Maria Moles (Nice Music) inserts gentle sustained synth work into 'Doodle Damage'.

Bullant (Flightless Records) pulls the listener out abruptly with a rework of 'Skinrat', a house-streaked churner.

Raymond Scottwalker (Fallopian Tunes) wraps up the record with another rework of 'Reflex', creating a mind-bending, aggressive industrial rejig.

Kieron Ifill aka K15 has been releasing neck breaking music for quite a while now, wether on his own Esencia imprint or on established stables like Wild Oats, Eglo, Apron, Black Focus, WotNot and more recently Neroli. 'Fake Strings' is a certified banger alluring the dancefloor with a great combo of rolling bass, squashed kicks and hats, grimy, atmospheric pads and a bits of spoken word thrown in.
'Magic Phunk' brings THAT break again and for a good measure. Drums are floating over an ocean worth of blazing pads, liquid synths, acid riffs, pillowy, yet dirty chords and whatever else DJ Stoner Dad could lay his hands on at the time.

'IV' is a full frontal ambient jam, with little bits of wandering drums coming into the picture at the very end.
Finally 'V' brings cinematic influences over slightly uneasy slow groove.

Expositions is a one-man (Reuben Vaun Smith) band that’s been slowly gaining force as a wave ready to hit every Balearic beach and beyond. Yellow Haze hits the Forest Jams label with four complete burners of tunes, so hot you can smell the sun-block melting away. Smith along with the mysterious “Hannah” lay down some serious laid back vibes with their vocals that fit the backing of “Get With You” just perfectly.

Rollerskaters is an instrumental that has us up off the beach and onto the boardwalk for a freestyle rollerskating dance session. Sun Shine Down has Smith back on vocals and the title speaks for itself. Walk along the water of the Pacific has the sun is going down to this one for full effect. Holding On closes out what you’d wish to be an endless summer. Look out for more from the man soon!

The next "12 on 'Wrong Era' is made by 'Marching Machines', a duo made of two Belgian powerhouses: Dimitri Andreas and Spacid.
Their love for electronic machine manipulation and their musical history that spans over 2 decades, built an excellent foundation for this brand new project. “Lonesome” is a slow burning dark electro track with howling and gloomy synths that flow into acidic tendencies.

“Desolat” continues on the emotional path of the previous track, embracing solitude on a broken rhythm, ending up in arpeggiating classic and cosmic italo track. In succession of that, there’s “Driven” which moves up to dancefloor dynamics by using harder and raw sounds, combined with an analogue pulsewave sound generator and building into a release of energy with wavy synths and smashing snares.

The final track is a remix of “Lonesome” by one of Wrong Era’s label bosses Fabrizio Mamarella. While the original idea is still intact, the remix is a definite bigger and faster version, implying a stark contrast that still remains powerful, perfectly made for the dancefloor.

The third edition of the Exit Planet Earth vinyl series features four more exclusive intergalactic selections from Ralph Lawson.A

'Exit Planet Earth - Nitrogen' features a selection of pioneers and up and coming talent. First up is a true legend of the UK electro scene, Keith Tenniswood aka 'Radioactive Man', who creates a constantly evolving sonic trip called 'One Out'. Watch out for the surprise sting in it's tail too. Sharing the A side is the incredibly talented Spanish producer Annie Hall, arriving fresh from her stunning CPU releases. Annie creates melodic landscapes, layered with intricate string orchestration driven by deep bass.A

On the flip side Helsinki-based Sunny Seppa aka Sansibar shows exactly why he is fast becoming hot property following his immense debut album on FTP - 'Targeted Individuals'. ASansibar brings the record back to the 4/4 with a flowing yet subtle working of synths and pads. Also based in Finland yet hailing from Holland is VC-118A, who previously caught our attention with his track 'PCB' a firm favourite at Exit Planet Earth events. VC118-A delivers some deep space dub with expertly crafted production centring on low end theory.

Maze & Lindholm, widely critically acclaimed since their first LPWhere The Wolf Has Been Seen-released by Aurora Borealis in 2018-bring out yet another aspect of their ever fruitful collaboration.While their debut album was constantly balancing between contemplation and anxiety (never quitepitch dark but often on the fence between extremelycontrasted moods) the live rendition of theirnew opus offers a profound sonic meditation.

A River Flowing Home To The Seanever tries tocompete with the world's deafening din nor embraces its inherent violence-as "Where The Wolf Has Been Seen" often did-but rather emphasises a certain relation to silence while magnifying it.Celebrating its rarity and approaching its own production as an intimate yet enthralling experience. As opposed to a river forming into a torrent, the piece flows at a quiet paceand invites us toexperience a state of inner tranquility.

Under the moniker Melquiades, Australia's Alex Albrecht has released music for Scissor & Thread and his own Analogue Attic Recordings imprint - to great acclaim.
His sound emanates in improvisations from the deeper fringes of dance and electronic. Able to find a jazzy quality in the sounds of the natural world, his subtle blend of ambient, electronica, and deep house has a nineties ethereal element.

His first release on Bouquet: 'Further Afield' took field recordings from his recent time of the road. Introspective reveries blend with percussive feelings of movement. Mesmerising meditations inflected with his signature tendency to improvise, the record is the result of his deep connection with his surroundings as he traveled with receptivity to the influence of the environment on his mind.

A1. 'Denver Chimes' is built on a walk through the suburbs and the sound of chimes hanging next to a tire swing. But the macro view of that scene is the backdrop of the Rockies, and the end-of-tour feelings knowing you are about to board a plane home.

A2. Born in a thunderstorm followed by dense humidity neat Storm King in New York, 'Upstate Dream' is inspired by the experience watching it roll through the gorge and over the sculptures, moments before a torrential rain. But the track closes with the sonic images of sitting by the river as the sun re-emerges after the downpour.

B1. 'Further Afield' is titled after Gunter Grass's political novel, "Too Far Afield."
Melquiades' weeks in Berlin playing shows form the idea behind the track's cascading layers.

B2. 'Sprinkler' closes the EP inspired by recollections of summer festivals in Victoria mixed with flashes of memory of Australian Bush scenes. Like the other offerings of the record, it is the memories of Melquiades' home through the diffused haze of surealness, mixed with the excited energy that comes from life on the road.

Bouquet. was inspired by both the artistry of the tracks and the narrative feel of the concept.
Melquiades was making recordings as well as journaling his own thoughts and impressions from that worldwide trip. The resulting EP has that travelogue quality to it, and made it a perfect outfit for our fourth release, as continuing pandemic issues are driving our listeners further and further out to the deeper fringes of sound and a dip into the ambient pond. Next in line to work with underground imprint GETME! is UK artist Nicky Otter, with 'GME012: I Can't Really Explain (It),' a two track release out on 14th March across vinyl and digital platforms. Across the EP, Nicky ventures between parameters of ambient electronica and big, bad club tracks. Nicky's outsider sound find it's perfect home on London's GETME! label, both artist and label undefinable by genre, shape or sound.

A-Side'I Can't Really Explain (It)'is a straight call for the dance floor for those after sounds on a more house and garage tip. Originally trained as a drummer, Nicky's percussive talent shines across this bassy number, complete with creeping melody and layered vocal samples for a track nodding to club edits from a nostalgic time gone by. Moving into murkier territories, B- Side'Sketch Original Slow'is journey through the darker strains of electronica, hazy techno feels and euphoric ambient vibes. Dreamy melodies and carefully mapped out drum patterns meet here, giving 'Sketch Original Slow' an other-worldly feel.

Run with love for over eight years byAlex Hislop(AKA producerLIXO) GETME! has always been known for their brave and eclectic approach to output. From it's humble beginnings as a club night in a West London pub in 2006 to now being one of the most well respected alternative institutions in the city, GETME! have long been pioneering music that isn't so easily definable. Originally started as a vessel to explore the boundaries of our underground, the label hosts it's own monthly NTS show, and has seen release from Slime, Becoming Real, Kit Grill and Dam Mantle, all artists who've been responsible for shaping the sound of electronica today.

As the waves licked the shore, a sense of calm came over them. Contented calm. This was their happy place, their nirvana. Nothing could harm them here, there was only good, and love, and music from sunset to sunrise. 'Dawn till Dusk' they would call it, and soon it would attract others seeking the same things, the same calm contentment that only the music of sunrises and sunsets could provide. Music that captivates the mind, and frees the soul.

The first of them was Powel. A gifted musician from Germany, who has had previous releases on All Day I Dream, Do Not Sit, and Ajundadeep. Powel's music captures warm, airy atmospheres, and celestial rhythms, and he always finds a way to thread natural elegance, and tasteful patience in his productions.


Opening with 'Johannesburg' we are quickly transported into Powel's world. A sparse beat slowly transforming into a warm vibe with rhodesy keys, violins, and male vocal ad libs.

'The Grand Opening' named after (and also sampling) the Swedish band, adds live instrumentation to the deep house aesthetic with aplomb: gritty percussion drives the track, as airy harmonics drift in, and out of the mix.

'Aburaya' is next in both vocal, and instrumental form. Deeply Detroitian by design, the uplifting pads and keys made this life-affirming, it's crescendo shouting joy from the rooftops.

While wonky rubbery bass powers 'Hang On' forward with nuanced keys, and vocal shots ricocheting around your head.

Saving the best until last, 'Iblard' is the sparsest of all, its aquatic pads draws you in to a warm place, where discordant melodies swirl across the spilling, and dripping percussion, and a lazy bass sigh intermittently to make its presence known. Once the warbled radio static appears towards the end, you know peak satisfaction has been reached.

It's very apt that Powel is the first artist to release on new imprint Dawn till Dusk. The German epitomise music which captivates the mind and frees the soul, a notion the new label will encapsulate. This EP is the perfect start to the new project, music that can translate to desert dancefloors, or soundtrack sunrise/sunsets on the beaches of Ibiza.

'Middle of the Road Less Travelled' is not only the debut release by Michal Turtle on Light of Other Days, it is also his first new material released since the amazing reissues put out by Music From Memory in recent years. The three tracks on this EP were written and produced by Michal in 2017 with additional production and guitar playing by Light of Other Days' very own HOVE.

The two met back in 2016 when HOVE contacted Michal after he heard the 12' «Are you Psychic» and was blown away. As it turned out Michal was living in Basel which is only a short train ride away by train from the Light of Other Days home base in Zurich. The two started meeting and playing music together. Soon after, they put together a live-show for Michal's music which had its debut show at Phono Festival in Denmark in 2017. During this time, they started working on new music together as well. The result is this EP.

The music on 'Middle of the Road Less Travelled' is a continuation of Michal's musical exploration into other-worldly territory. Michal is a master in building hypnotic textures from repetitive rhythms that collide with trippy and atmospheric synthesizers. The delayed and dubby guitar lines by HOVE were recorded during rehearsal sessions in Michal's living room in Basel and the last track of the EP 'Agallo (Real)' ends with vocals performed by Lucianne Lassalle. Besides playing in local bands with Michal back in the 80s, Lucianne also performed and co- wrote early Michal Turtle tracks like 'Phantoms of Dreamland' or 'Village Voice' from his first record 'Music from the Living Room'.

Colours of Infinity is a new alias for Melbourne based producer Andy Donnelly. His debut album follows a recent sold out split 12" on Brokntoys offshoot, Discos Del Quebranto, as well as a string of releases as Kloke on labels including Styles Upon Styles and Sub Squared.

Under his latest moniker, Donnelly has axed the dense, sample-heavy hardcore continuum he is best known for and developed a more back to basics approach, using old, cheap hardware and primitive recording techniques to capture performances in the spirit of 70s bands such as Cluster, early Tangerine Dream and latter day artists like Ekoplekz and Pye Corner Audio.

The results are 11 tracks that draw on the shared anxieties and dystopian moods of 2017 to offer a narrative of a future in which civilisation has decayed at our own hand and yet, among the rubble, a growing signal of optimism can be detected from the genesis of the machines.

40 years after the huge international impact of OXYGENE, and 20 years from its second volume OXYGENE 7-13, Jean-Michel Jarre is fulfilling a trilogy of albums with OXYGENE 3, containing seven newly composed and recorded pieces, consistently titled parts 14-20.

His inspiration for the newly added parts on OXYGENE 3 was not to go back in time, but to add a sense of now' to his iconic piece of work. Plunging into the environment of OXYGENE with its highly original dark, moody and at times quite upbeat musical language, Jarre references some of the music from his entire body of work on OXYGENE 3. It's a state-of-the-art recording, embracing both classic and modern ways of music production.
This release is available on single LP heavyweight vinyl.

Split Release between Pomelo Records and Minimal Soul
...For Minimal Soul, electronic music legend Orlando Voorn contributes an absolute corker of a track, he takes himself back to his electro/techno roots and comes up with 'Slam' - Black Dog doesn't disappoint either, his remix is a study in restraint, and its simple relaxed melody lifts the track into classic territory.
On the 'Pomelo side' Lodig obviously has his work cut out, but doesn't let the credentials of the producers that have gone before put him off his stroke! He comes up with a slightly more gnarly techno cut, not exactly heavy, but with that extra bit of dirt that is very satisfying after the clean cut techno funk of the previous two cuts. He then slips into his slightly better known guise of Lok44 to round off the EP nicely with a warm and bleepy minimal techno roller of a remix.

Fortuna Records return with an exceptional reissue of a mid-80s early electronica LP by keyboardist Raviv Gazit. The album was composed entirely on the Synclavier synthesizer in the basement of the Tel-Aviv University in 1985. Gazit was ahead of his time composing cold yet blissful electronic music for film and theatre which he later released as an album. An unexpected yet extremely welcome addition to Fortuna's killer catalog.

Snips is the founder of Barbershop Records and co founder of Livin Proof, with over 15 years experience as one of Londons most prolific DJs and over 10 years worth of production credits across Hip Hops underground. 2018 has seen Snips emerge as a budding solo artist, fusing the production styles of Hip Hop, House, Soul and Funk in the same fashion as he is known to do behind the turntables.

With his debut album "The Barbershop" making waves on both sides of the Atlantic and his Single "The Product" On Classic Records garnering support from a cross genre selection of heavyweights such as Karizma, Benji B, Eli Escobar, House Shoes, J Rocc, DJ Spinna and Henry Wu, Snips returns on his own label Barbershop Records and delves into Edit territory for his second instalment of the "Snips Edits" series. This time cleverly turning a handful of Hip Hop classics into club ready anthems over Snips' original productions.

Die zweite Hälfte des Jahres 2014 mixte Kalevi sein fertiges Album dann in New York mit Nicolas Vernhes (The War On Drugs, Run The Jewels) und zog anschließend nach Berlin. Sein selbstbetiteltes Synthie-Pop Album erscheint Mitte Juni auf CD und Vinyl via Weird World/Domino Records.

Part two of the Tunnelvisions remixes include four artists: Fort Romeau, David Mayer, Yor Kultura and Bawrut. Fort Romeau's remix is a typical track you will hear back in clubs such as Robert Johnson, Bawrut's remix is a big-room beast and David Mayer shows his typical tribal sound. Yor Kultura finishes this remix EP and Tunnelvisions' Celestial Ritual project with a downtempo version of Umai's Dance. The Remixes are out March 22nd on Atomnation.

Ninja Tune veröffentlicht eine Jubiläumsausgabe zum 10. Geburtstag von Bonobo’s Klassiker „Black Sands“ angekündigt, womit bereits ein ganzes Jahrzehnt seit der Veröffentlichung des gefeierten bahnbrechenden Albums des Produzenten und Multi-Instrumentalisten Simon Green ins Land gezogen ist. Das Album hielt einen einzigartigen Moment fest - es wurde von Kritiker*innen bewundert, erklomm die Spitze bei den Alben des Jahres von Resident Advisor und DJ Mag und verkaufte sich bisher weltweit über vierhunderttausend Mal.

Beeinflusst von den unterschiedlichen, bassbetonten Strömungen der britischen elektronischen Musikszene zu der Zeit, passte Green diese sich entwickelnden Klänge kunstvoll in seine eigene, umfassendere Vision ein. Die bleibende Bedeutung der Platte ergibt sich aus der Tiefe, die er in diesen Kombinationen fand, rasselnden 2-Step-Rhythmen und druckvollen Subbässen, gepaart mit sorgfältig ausgearbeitetem Songwriting und üppiger, brillant umgesetzter Instrumentierung.

Zehn Jahre später ist die Platte der wichtige entscheidende Schritt in Greens hintergründigem, aber unaufhaltsamem Aufstieg zu einem der größten Elektronikkünstler unserer Zeit. Inzwischen kann er sich mit sechs Alben rühmen, darunter das karrierebestimmende 2017er-Album „Migration“, das Platz 11 der offiziellen Albumcharts in Deutschland erreichte und zwei GRAMMY-Nominierungen erhielt (ebenso wie seine 2019er-Single „Linked“), außerdem spielte er ausverkaufte Konzerte auf der ganzen Welt und brachte seine kultisch verehrte Live-Show an mehreren Abenden hintereinander in den Alexandra Palace (auch bekannt als „Ally Pally“), zum Glastonbury Festival, auf das Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado oder ins gigantische Berliner Fahrradstadion, dem Velodrom.

Auch wenn es schon eine Weile her ist, das letzte, seinerzeit noch an der Seite von Filburt auf Riotvan aufgefahrene - No Other' klingelt immer noch als eine der unwiderlegbarsten House-Hymnen der letzten Jahre in unseren Ohren. Die aktuelle EP triggert da zwar weniger den großen Singalong-Hunger, formuliert aber dafür in immer wieder neuen Schattierungen den selbstbewussten Entwurf eines ganz eigenen elektrifiziert-verwaschenen House-Begriffes aus.
