With this new four-track EP by Rai Scott the slowly emerging producer moves away from being the enigma that appeared on a split 12" with Brad Peterson that launched the Inner Shift imprint in 2012. And by the sounds on this EP, she's someone to be noticed. Preceding her forthcoming debut on Ornate, Scott provides another four-track called Wave Sound for Inner Shift Music. It's the fourth release for the label this year and "We Love You" certainly earns its place as the record's A1; sweet and meaningful deep house. Subb-an is back with one of the most hyped tracks to land on Crosstown Rebels in recent times. A collaboration with Cedric from Azari & III under new moniker S.Y.F (Starving Yet Full), 'Say No More' shows the wunderkind producer on a wholly satisfying song-based tip. A killer weapon for any peak-time dancefloor, it's a bumpy infectious ride with a wonky edge - steeped in the soul of Cedric's vocals rolling over immaculately crafted grooves. The 'Terrace Dub' drops most of the vocal and takes a deeper darker turn, made with the DC-10 terrace in mind. Crosstown favourite Mathew Jonson takes over the B-side with a languorous, sprawling rework, weaving a squelching bassline into the bubbling soundbed with a backdrop of cosmic synths.

Subb-an's rapid rise to prominence as a DJ, producer and one of the most exciting new British live acts of recent years is testament to his hard work, natural talent and wholehearted commitment to electronic music. Named as DJ Magazines 'Best Breakthrough DJ' in their 2011 end of year awards, Subb-an's prodigious studio talents have seen him release on Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest, Spectral, Saved, My Favourite Robot, his own flourishing imprint One Records and deliver much lauded remixes of Jamie Woon, Lana Del Ray, Noir & Haze and Hollis P Monroe the past couple of years. Fresh from delivering a package of 'Blurry Remixes' from Mathew Jonson's latest album 'Her Blurry Pictures', Crosstown Rebels can't get enough of this man's studio masterstrokes. Jonson is one of the most well respected names in electronic music with past releases on M_NUS, Perlon and his own Wagon Repair label. Jonson has recently focused on his Cobblestone Jazz outfit (an improvised live 3 piece collaboration techno project) and the extended four-piece, the Modern Deep Left Quartet as well as Midnight Operator (a raw, rough, up-tempo partnership focusing on dance-floor bombs), each of which have earned him widespread success.

Debut vinyl release from William's 99¢ Dreams. The A1 ( The Rent') gained notoriety in Brooklyn for it's clever vocal sampling and one-of-a-kind content, which serves as a commentary on the increasingly tenuous economics endured by a growing cross section the borough's artistic community. As a tribute to his home city, includes two inspired Detroit-style cuts on the flip.


Biography: A familiar face in Brooklyn's underground house and techno music circles, William Hubenschmidt's formative years as a record selector came as a radio host on the University of Michigan's 88.3 WCBN-FM Ann Arbor. There, his love of American blues and avant-garde jazz crossed with his native Detroit's progressive music legacy.

Today, he produces recordings for his 99¢ Dreams label. As a deejay, his expansive and soulful sets capture a rapturous musical conversation continued since first gracing the airwaves. As an artist, his uncompromising taste for deep Midwestern vibes and soulful New York house has earned the respect of many esteemed peers.

We can't remember the last time we came across a 7" single of straight-up deep house. Certainly, it's a novelty, though there's little novel or cheeky about the two tracks showcased on this diddy, coloured vinyl release from Spain's Minuendo label. 2DeepSoul's A-side, "Home", is effortlessly melodious - a warm, rich and enticing blend of shuffling rhythms, swirling chords and the kind of blissfully electronic melodies that make you want to dance with your eyes shut. There's a more organic and quietly soulful feel about Owen Jay and Melchior Sultana's flipside effort, "Deserted". Blessed with a delicious double bass line, bespoke keys and a whisper of Motor City techno (in terms of the electronics, at least), it's a sublime chunk of sensual deepness.

Dutch dj/producer De Sluwe Vos comes with his first ep for 4lux. Three mental and hard hitting club tools in Broken Snare, Poltergeist and The Bullet. De Sluwe slows down the pace on The Feeling featuring the voice of Beaumont Livingstone.

Tudor Gheorghe, also known as Romansoff, is a DJ, producer & vinyl collector form Bucharest', Romania. Heavily influenced by the small local underground parties on the electronic music scene in Buchares tRomansoff started collecting vinyl, dj'ing and later on headed in to production. In 2013 he started releasing music on his own imprint, Raw Tools. A vinyl only series with a raw, analogue, sound which was charted by known artists such as Ben Sims, Mark Henning and Serge. Now picked up by Machine Music's Diesel we bring you two great tracks from Romansoff's dark vaults in Romania 'Rage Machine' and 'In My Heart'

Few if any producers have managed to make the transition between hip-hop and house as successfully as Vincent Williams, a.k.a. DJ Spinna. But until now his hip-hop career has been better documented. Here, for the first time, is a collection of the cream of Spinna's house remixes, a collection likely to win a place in the homes of anyone who loves their house music with a deep and soulful twist. Brooklyn-born Spinna absorbed all the influences that were available to a young man growing up in 1980s New York, from the Caribbean and Latin vibes found in his own home (his father's record collection a major stimulus), through the block-rocking beats that were being dropped by the nascent hip-hop scene at neighbourhood parties, to the soul and disco being spun by Frankie Crocker and Shep Pettibone on the radio, and by Larry Levan at The Paradise Garage where Spinna became a punter.

Dabit Records is a new deep house, disco tech and club funk label from Max Previti (aka Pat Callaghan), Nick Morris (aka

DJ and producer Nello Nicita), Dave Scott (aka composer David La Maestra), Gilberto DiGioia (a

musician, percussionist and composer) and Joe Addicted (aka Giuseppe Acunzo, sound engineer

and DJ). The team's mission is to release music 'marked by a constant search for elegant and

alternative sounds with a sort of spiritual message addressed to clubs and DJs who are interested in

a different feeling within their sets.' The first EP, Chicago Tune, comes from the Dabit Records coowner

Kick Douglas moniker whilst Apparel boss Kisk provides a special vinyl-only remix.



Opener Sympathy in a Club pairs a warm, fuzzy analogue aesthetics with well-sampled male speech

vocals to cuddly house effect. The tempo is lazy and inviting, there percussion spare and loose and

the bassline gives the track a gentle sense of propulsion. The track also gets a remix by Kisk, aka

Apparel Music owner Giuseppe D'Alessandro, and it is even more late night, jazzy and romantic.

Next, Klaas (Back to 90s) is a more immediate and kinetic deep house construct with rich dubby

undercurrents and interesting melodic hooks. Simple but effective, it's no pastiche of days gone by as

the name might suggest, rather a forward looking cut rich with house history.

Chicago Vibes is great piece of groove science with real and loose sounding hi hats skating over a

rolling kick drum and gentle smattering of toms and congas. Raw for sure, it's a classy house warm

up tune that will get floors filling in no time.

An emphatic debut for this new label that suggests great things are ahead.

Back from a brief hiatus from solo output, Lee Curtiss follows up the masterfully naughty 'Lunatic Fringe' EP with another heavy dose of dancefloor debauchery for own imprint Visionquest. Showcasing his undeniable flair for libidinous club music with a hint of the unusual, Lee takes time out from producing his upcoming album to deliver two killer originals for 'The Ride EP'. A­-side 'Drink Tickets' is a suitably dusky and contorted trip with a growling modulated bassline, pseudo-sinister vocal and kinetic groove while B­-side 'Dancing Girls', a collaboration with his Chicago partner in crime, Nick Bassett ­ is a simmering hypnotic summertime affair with a filtered 90s feel and dirty funk bassline combined with sonically sophisticated detail.

A veteran of the electronic music scene, Lee Curtiss has successfully straddled the industry's many contradictions, releasing hits as exquisitely crafted and mentally twisted as they are in global demand. As a founding father of Visionquest's forward thinking outfit and label and a DJ renowned for mining the depths of dance music's history at establishments such as DC10 and fabric, Lee Curtiss is a true eccentric and innovator guaranteed to deliver a sonic melting pot of humour, sex and funk.

Initially making his mark as a producer with releases on Spectral, Get Physical, Supplement Facts, and Wolf & Lamb, two of Lee's biggest hits, the Visionquest remix of 'Good Voodoo' remix and 'Smoking Mirrors' were in RA's top tracks of 2011 and out of the techno realm, Lee's remixed the likes of Tracey Thorne and David Lynch. Since then there have been massive releases on Culprit (Candy EP feat. Matt Tolfrey) and of course with the 'Lunatic Fringe EP' on Visionquest.

Nick Bassett is a true gentleman helping to shape the new chapter of Chicago's long history of dance music, a spokesperson for the futuristic sounds of modern deep house, and a devoted student of electronic music's past. Nick grew up in the academic cornfields of Urbana, Illinois, with extended visits to a village in West Africa. He's lived the last seven years as a proper Chicagoan in the Windy City. Nick's life has been influenced as much by art and design as it has by the explosion and reinvention of new house music and digging for classic 90s vinyls. Nick's music selection has been described as 'elegant yet understated...dripping with passion, sweat, and creativity.' Bringing these qualities to his music production promises to catapult his career another great step forward.

Murphy Jax returns with his 2nd twelve inch for Clone after his big debut release, Its The Music, ft Mike Dunn.

"What $ Love" is one of Romanthony's rarest songs. The original house mixes - only ever released on the fleeting US imprint Vinylmania - is one of his most sought after pieces of vinyl with pristine copies selling for upwards of £100. Roman did make an R&B version on his Glasgow Underground album but the house mixes with their low-slung dubby organ & bass grooves are the real dj deal.

The classic cut from the Vinylmania 12" (Roman's Remix) is included here, as are three new mixes from Supernova, Christian Nielsen and Those Beats.

Christian Nielsen delivers possibly the most club-friendly mix on the package, taking Roman's vocals on a tough, percussive, jacked-up house groove. Supernova add a touch of hypnotic beauty choosing to sample of Roman's voice and layering them over a sublime groove. Lastly, Glasgow's finest Those Beats add a touch of jazz giving this classic track the kind of workout you'd expect from someone like Pal Joey or the Rednail Kidz.

We return to wax for our sixth vinyl release, this time in the form of a full coloured 12" green offering from SPLEEN UNDERGROUND MUSIC (S.U.M.). The aforementioned are truly ones to watch, Sam Rouanet, Giovanni Verga, Takeshi Nishimoto and their analogue sounds making serious waves in their native home of Berlin, as well as further afield. Take note, this is one to remember, one ready for the dance floor... this is the "Salt, Pepper & Sunshine EP"
The first side of the release is layered with two originals from S.U.M., "Salt, Pepper & Sunshine" putting out base heavy beats and melodic grooves, which blend together to create a track which encompasses and absorbs. "Radiant" then serves up a drum filled offering with layers of spectral sound which both mesmerises and transfixes.


As we turn onto the back side of the release, on point artist, "Borrowed Identity" is on hand to put his dance floor ready sound to work for a remix of "Salt, Pepper & Sunshine".
