As a DJ/producer/label owner, Anthony Collins is a man of many talents. Since first landing on the decks as a young 17-year-old in France to holding down some of New York's finest parties and uncovering new talent from different corners of the globe, Collins remains a steady fixture in today's evolving electronic scene. An explorer of different soundscapes, Collins is widely known for delivering strings of quality releases. This April, HAKT Recordings proudly presents Lie To Me, the latest diamond in the rough by Collins. Our journey begins with the album's eponymous track. Its raw, gritty, in-your-face pounding bassline immediately captivates, gradually building up to an unforgettable vocal drop. A nod to old school Chicago and ghetto house, Big Willy's grimy, infectious vocal work brings the track to life as he roars, 'This motherfuckin' pimp's got to get P-A-I-D.' Recorded years earlier, it wasn't until Collins cleaned out an old hard drive that he re-discovered the vocals-undoubtedly a blessing in disguise for listeners as the end result is a powerful,12-minute beast of a track destined to elevate listeners into a state of hedonistic euphoria. Following suit is the markedly calmer but equally throbbing jam, 'Swing State.' Though it relies on the similar old school style as its antecedent, the EP's second single remains an instrumental track. Amid crackling kicks and snares, the jacking groove takes hold when a sudden chorus of thundering claps erupts toward the finish line before drifting to a close. Stripping away any remnants of Big Willy's vocals, what remains on the EP is a dub offering by Collin's label companion and Frank & Tony's other half, Francis Harris under his Lightbluemover alias.

Emergency Cosmetics is New York hardware afficionado J. Albert's second 12" offering, and comes as the inaugural 12" release for Los Angeles based Hesperian Sound Division. A valient effort into capturing a fully realized aesthetic, the EP digs into all corners of the Brooklyn producer's repertoire, nodding a head towards classic NY style house and contemporary electronics alike. Side A of the record explores an etherial and transcendent voice, with tracks, "Beta 3", and cult classic, "Are You In". On the B side, a departure towards concise and minimalist dancfloor cuts presents itself, beginning with high hat clinic "Pick Me Up", and culminating in the weighty yet delicate floor burner, "Givin' Lip".

The real sound of deep house... from Chicago 1987.Originally released on Street Sound, "In The City" has been fully re mastered for 2015. This is the second single from Master C & J (they later went on to pen the seminal "Face It") once again featuring the timeless vocals by Liz Torres

The 3rd instalment in the Newington series comes from LA born, Berlin based Steve Huerta who's signature style harkens back to house music's roots while maintaining a deep, modern sheen. The EP 'Off The Plate' is a varied affair with different house music moods and feelings to be had. The lead track 'Off The Plate' is a dance floor monster with the appropriate rave stabs to boot. 'Safe' is a slightly more laidback affair with a groove to sway your hips to. 'Stepney Shuffle' pays homage to another London district, bring a distinct jack to proceedings. London based Silk 86 take on remix duties, with their own take on 'Silk'.

Heavy remix package for Mano Le Tough's debut album "Changing Days": Tale Of Us, Dixon and New Jackson deliver fantastic reworks perfectly shaped for the dancefloor.

Over the past few years, Mano Le Tough has become one of the shooting stars of the international dance music scene. His impact has been so great that Kristian Beyer of Âme claimed recently in an interview that: "Thanks to Mano Le Tough, I have no fears for the future of house." And not just Beyer, the entire Innervisions gang including Âme and Dixon have become fervent supporters of Mano Le Tough's warm and melodic, yet driving sound.

Niall Mannion as Mano is known to his parents, is originally from Greystones, a seaside village near Dublin, Ireland. After an eclectic musical youth and a move to Berlin, Mannion first popped up on the electronic music radar in 2009 with an ep on legendary disco Viking Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label. With his unique mixture of modern disco, atmospheric house and electronica (although musical genres like these do not quite capture the essence of Mano's music; he prefers to describe it as "cool songs" or "folkal house" which seem in some way more appropriate), Niall quickly gained massive interest in his music. So it was no surprise that eps on such acclaimed labels as Tensnake's Mirau imprint, Dirt Crew recordings and Ben Watt's Buzzin Fly followed his remarkable debut. In no time Mano also became a much sought after remixer for the likes of Aloe Blacc, Midnight Magic, Flowers and Sea Creatures and Roisin Murphy.

That Mano also knows his onions as a DJ has been proven over the years at his monthly party in Berlin called Passion Beat, which he runs with his old friend and fellow paddy The Drifter (with him and their friend Baikal they also set up their own label Maeve in 2012 ). With his ever growing reputation, he soon got heavily booked worldwide and became a regular in some of the best clubs in the world including Panorama Bar, Trouw and Robert Johnson.

This very limited addition of the vinyl version represents music that became known as the "House Sound of Chicago". The defining moment of modern music. The modern legends; Darrell Pandy, the most unique entertainer I ever met, began his career with "Love Can't Turn Around", Loleatta Hollaway made her comeback here from her earlier disco career, Frankie Knuckles first records were recorded with us, as well as his work being included with Jamie Principle . Marshall Jefferson, Joe Smooth, Cannon Irving, Chip E., Keith Nunnasly, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Ricky Dillard, and many more This was the time house music was created, and across the street from DJ International was the warehouse where the legends played. This all happened on Rental Street now undergoing the City of Chicago's now and new DJ international Street. With over 400 recordings done at DJ International and Underground Studios, most of Chicago's legendary DJ's were there. For those who were able to be there knew that this was the basis on everybody's mythology of house music . The full story told coming soon. As Mood II Swing, production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone will go down in history as one of the most prolific and respected house duos of the last 25 years. At their best, they were simply untouchable, with their drum programming often cited as what set them apart from the rest of the field: always busier and more intricate than straight-up 4/4 house tracks.
Listen to a Mood II Swing track and you're immediately struck by those extra hi-hats, snares and claps that gave the records such power and drive. The fact that those classic Mood II Swing drums also made them crucial figures in the UK Garage movement puts them in a league alongside luminaries such as Masters At Work, Armand Van Helden and Todd Edwards.

After a long wait, the rst episode of the mysterious Third Wave Trax series,
is now finally available.

An EP of GOLDEN BUG on LDDLM has been a long-time coming. Paths crosses, encounters, similitudes. But it took all of us time to agree on how Golden Bug should fit into our mortal ethics of fragmentation: we don't want to sound like anybody else, each track on the EP should all sound different. The French but Barcelona based producer played our game, anticipating his future and very diverse album with a spook yet catchy 12".

WILD BOYS was an instant ear-catcher, some proto-funk with a very strong vocal by YAN WAGNER that made it sound like DURAN DURAN on speedball. It was hard to take it to another level but LORD TUSK, one of our favourite producers of the emerging "no genre" (electro-funk) London scene beefs it up, Kraftwerk way. It's moody as we all are.

IK VOEL JE shows the more experimental spaced out side of Golden Bug, we'd call it space rock If we had to. Do not neglect L"HORLOGE, it's slow, dark, menacing but it's a real time bomb if tuned correctly.

Late November will see the release of Hackman's 'Carry On' EP via 2020Vision, backed with a remix from Rampa.

English producer Ben Hackman, better known to most as simply Hackman has made huge shapes over the past four years since making his debut on RAMP sub-label PTN back in 2010. Ben has since gone on to unveil material through other reputable imprints such as Greco Roman, Well Rounded and Futureboogie Recordings, testament to his striking production skills and contemporary appeal. Here we see Ben push on adding yet another driving force in the industry to his associations, namely 2020Vision.

Kicking things off is the original mix of title cut 'Carry On', seeing Hackman employ soft ethereal textures, crisp percussive elements and fervent vocal lines injecting soul and charm into the composition. Ben then implements his signature rugged, drawn-out bass sounds to the focal stages adding the grit and cutting intensity his records have become so known and loved for over the years. A 'Dub' take on 'Carry On' is offered up to follow, and as the name would suggest we're treated to a more refined, progressive and groove-led interpretation of the original cut.

Opening up the latter half of the release is Mobilee/Cocoon artist Rampa's rework of 'The Blue', laying the focus on a hypnotic, percussive led structure to take the lead, while the dreamy soundscapes and sub bass stabs of the original track are sporadically thrown into the mix, resulting in a stunning seven and a half minute steady bloomer. The package is then rounded off with 'The Blue (Instrumental)', seeing Hackman fuse bumpy off-kilter rhythms with multi-layered grainy synth lines, closing things on a smooth and melodious tip.

Joe Cowie aka Kahwe has cut his teeth in the clubs of North England, warming up for the likes of Levon Vincent, Ben Klock, Leon Vynehall and Prosumer at his Selective Hearing residency. Meanwhile, his first two EPs on Anjunadeep have been acclaimed by Resident Advisor and supported by Laurent Garnier, Larry Heard and Mr. G.

His growing reputation as a DJ has also taken him to Ibiza where he played the notorious Space Terrace, and with his eclectic new 'San Salvadore EP' set for release this November on Anjunadeep, he further establishes himself as one of the UK's brightest talents.

Title track 'San Salvadore' is a laid-back dancefloor roller, full of glistening melodies and intricate synths. 'Prophets' sees Joe indulge his nostalgic side, with bright melodies bubbling above a warm groove and throwback vocal in this slice of classic deep house.

Rounding of the EP is 'Patterns', a surefire party-starter built around a killer bass groove. A serious dancefloor weapon in the right hands.

Feel good dance music, smile n' drive mutant disco with remixes by Ilya Santana and Sleazy McQueen. Evol Ai, artistic moniker of Slovenian based musician, producer and dj Alan Roposa, represents the emotional half of his musical orientation, while the other half Qualiass aims more at his energetic soundscape. Evol Ai is smile hunter and emotion cultivator, knowing that smile and tears come from the same place. It's the love in reverse, it is love in chinese and it's what the "I" loves.

Background wise, Alan's first major 12" Qualia release titled Qualia Nation EP came out in 2004 on Minimal Records. Thru the past decade, he's been musically evolving his aliases from Qualia, Qualia Six, Qualia 6, Qualias Dead to Qualiass and Evol Ai, wrapping over 20 releases on various labels around the world (see discography belew). As well as he did remixes for Laurent Garnier, Franz Ferdinand, Lindstrm a.m.o.

Besides producing, making music for video games, advertisements and theater, Alan's been involved in various bands as a guitar player and the man behind the machines, most notoriously with fellow studio partner Yanoosh (Ohmfat), with whom they had a series of fresh and unique sounding live performances, which concluded in 2011 as full band support for The Klaxons at various festivals and clubs. Besides distinctive live shows with the band, Alan also tends to put distinctive element in his dj sets, which are a kind of a hybrid mix between dj, live and re-edit approach from tech to disco. As such, Evol Ai and Qualiass sets always leave the dancers satisfied and fulfilled with eclectic and broad range selection of music, feel-good attitude, creative mixing, "fu*k the genres" storytelling and "let's have fun, because we are not rocket scientists" stage presence.

In 2012 he started doing music under the name Evol Ai, debuting with first ever track La Fu on Nang's Beach Disco Sessions 3 compilation by Ilya Santana. His first solo release, two track La Fu EP came out few months after on respected label Nang Records and got support from many big names in nudisco, deep house and house scene, with the track La Fu selected as one of the favorites at the time by Bottin and heard on numerous mixes and dance floors around the world.

'Mouth' follows acclaimed lead single 'Giudecca' that was reworked by Factory Floor's Gabe Gurnsey. Now, with Running Back co-founder and Tuff City Kid Gerd Janson - often referred to as 'the DJ's DJ' - and his label affiliate Shan on remix duties across Club, Instrumental, 808 Culture Dub and Acid versions, 'Mouth' is set to propel Ghost Culture to new heights and further establish his well earned position as one of the most accomplished new acts on the musical landscape.

After a 3 year hiatus making techno for various labels, Orlando B returns to his deep house sound which gained him recognition with EP's on Yore, Undertones and Seven Music. This time he brings us three contrasting house cuts on his new label 'Contemplate Recordings' which will now be the primary output for his deeper productions.

Title track 'Across The Trax' kicks things off with a funky, down-tempo house joint! Although the BPM count is low the track has plenty of swagger about it with jazz funk chords jamming over a quirky yet solid drum pattern. These elements are propped up with a deep 'suby' bass line. The track gains momentum by adding more percussive and harmonic elements before peaking with a saxophone melody played by Mr B.

Track 2, 'Night Walker' is primarily a club tool designed with dance floors in mind. A 'late night' hypnotic groove filters in gradually over a restrained kick drum whilst hi-hat and snare rhythms are introduced. After a minute intro', a 909 kick finally drops which lifts the energy of the track whilst the chord hook continues to lock you in to the groove. The track is purposely stripped back to allow the DJ to mix creatively as they see fit.

To contrast the raw stripped back nature of side A, side B track 'Jimmy's Groove' is a classic sounding deep house affair with plenty of musical flair to make it stand out from the crowd. The main motif, a rising jazz chord is played throughout over a solid house kick and bass line. Plenty of musical elements are introduced as the track progresses. Classic house-piano and string chords, an emotive vocal sample and jazzy lead synth' lines all have a part to play in this 9 minute epic, which will reward repeat listens.

Presenting us with three different takes on deep house, this EP will have something for every- one. Whether it be in the club or for home listening. An essential addition to the record bag.

Nathan Melja is the same young Frenchman whose debut EP we released under the name Melja late last year. Since then, he moved to New York and worked at Mister HQ for a few months, manned the light booth at the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday parties (DJs make the best light guys), and spent most of his time outside that making music. Leo Draws is the culmination of that music-making, two murky but beautiful tracks centered around vocal samples and one off-kilter number aimed at the dark corners of the dancefloor.

Agostino Casillo, born in 1985, begins to approach music in the late '90s, influenced by the house
sounds that characterize those years. Never shut up in one genre, his desire to experiment led him to
deepen the knowledge of all the trends related to electronic music, from 'house to techno, from deep
to nu disco. Out of every scheme, his productions are very eclectic. He is currently resident in one of
the most innovative party of Neapolitan underground scene, Nice To Be.
In 2013 he release his first track Sick on Stop Clone Music, in January 2015 his second track My
Vision was released on Nice To Be Records.

The EP contains four KRL dancefloor cuts and three skits that tap into his Hip Hop roots.

Chicago legend Marshall Jefferson gave the world many classic records over the years including this influential proto-deep house gem way back in 1986, helping to solidify a blueprint & sound for numerous producers to come in the following decades.

His work as Jungle Wonz always went deeper than most, steeped in soul & emotion, way ahead of the game & incredibly advanced for the times. "The Jungle" is no exception, a blistering, melodic journey, the perfect vision of House.

Repressed & remastered for 2015 & featuring all original label artwork, with permission from Trax records "The Jungle" is now available again to be rediscovered, a truly essential record that stills sounds as fresh & contemporary today.

Kito Jempere will be a new name to many with only a handful of productions and remixes under his belt but that's the way we like to do it here and we're proud to play a small part in helping introduce his production prowess to a wider audience. The St. Petersburg native came to our attention following an invite for Jimpster to play at one of his legendary outdoor summer parties in his home town. A friendship was born and when the brilliant demos arrived in the mail, it wasn't a hard decision to agree to release them.

Confusion kicks off the EP in a blaze of rattling percussion, layers of cowbells building the groove whilst the glitchy pads shift in unison with the thick moogy bass. Extra splashes of crash and live snare rolls add a sample-heavy energy and enhance the live feel laying down the foundation for the vocal sample. This one is the perfect moodsetter with the constantly moving chord progression keeping your interest and the fat, analogue production adding extra warmth to the sound.

I Get This Feeling follows, treading a similar sonic path with hints of live breaks and percussion loops injecting movement into the loping house groove. Dubbed out vocals and horn samples add a definite mid-nineties feel to this one with a nod to Guidance or UK labels DIY and Paper shining through.

Flipping over we have a whopper of a remix from Jacob Korn who has been on our remixer hitlist ever since his She release blew us away in 2011. The German producer has been killing it with every remix and original production since then so we were over the moon when we heard he loved the original track and would be happy to get involved. As it turned out we got not one but two absolute beauties from him. The vinyl version bounces along perfectly over it's nine and a half minutes remaining deeper than deep yet keeping maximum energy flowing with the Wild Pitch-esque vocal stabs and dramatic build ups and breakdowns.

The digital bonus version offers a completely different vibe with Jacob opting for a straighter groove, an intense repeating bass note and layers of stabs all making for complete dancefloor ecstacy. Tried and tested by Jimpster on his Boiler Room set and recent live gigs and looking set to becaome the secret weapon of many in the coming months.

Anhura Vinyl's debut in the exclusive and acclaimed vinyl edition is, as it was expected, a complete success. Max Chapman & Aj Christou are in charge of 'Gruds & Kecks'. This release starts with a moderate disco house nearly background melody at some points, and evolves into more tech grounds which plunge us directly in a deep, retro-spatial sphere. A place where this electronic and bass sounds coming from the 80s' and 90s' provide it with amazing timelessness whenever it is heard. It is an uncommon release diverging from the mainstream and ideal to start a completely promising series.

Sishi Rosch takes 'Gruds & Kecks' into the electronic house lands. As in the previous case, he furnishes it with speed and risk, concretion regarding its percussive development. Always maintaining its electronic melody, he seems to want to direct it to the club scene, and he undoubtedly makes it.

Max Chapman & Aj Christou's second track follows 'Gruds & Kecks' disco house line. 'Agwa' contains the characteristic spatial and percussive elements from the 80s', as well as an outstanding electro presence and weight. We could say that these two tracks are like well matched brothers as some elements reappear, those which does not give us any clue about the creation date and their real intentions.

Finally, 'Agwa' remix by Miguel Puente conserves its vintage foundation and mysterious groove, but he provides it with some - and almost necessary- bmps to be enjoyed in any dance floor. Those funky sounds, the appropriate synthetic bass and the blurred and faltering voices make it different from the original and take it to an even less concrete sphere, if that's possible. Elements which make it specially interesting and well constructed.

It's a very exciting time for Soul Of Hex right now. Not only have they hit upon a rich vein of creative inspiration and clearly loving every second of being in the studio making some brilliant music, but the young duo from Tijuana also seem to be inadvertently, or maybe purposefully, shaping a fresh new direction for the Mexican house scene. Taking influences from Detroit via Berlin, and with a knowledge of house, jazz, funk, soul and disco which goes way beyond their years Sebastien Vorhaus and 4004 are in the vanguard of this new generation of house producers and are already making their mark worldwide through releases on CVMR, MCDE, Faces and their own Vicario LTD imprint.

With close links to, and a residency at The Wherehouse club in Tijuana, a Boiler Room set under their belt, a blistering live set currently being prepped, a remix and support from Larry Heard and further releases scheduled for Quintessentials and Faces, we're happy to have got in quick while we have the chance and can present to you this lovely release entitled The Muth.

Opening up we have The Third Eye, defined by a slowly modulating rhodes pad, octave bassline and a dusty drum groove to move you. Next up is The Muth, another killer bassline (giving us a good idea that Vorhaus is in fact himself a bass player, despite this being a sample - the clue's in the title!). Laid back sunshine vibes all round with sporadic rhodes and tropical percussion fills.

Flipping over we have a remix from hotly tipped Londoner Henry Wu. Who other than the Peckham-based beatmeister and Jimpster's favorite new producer to work his magic And work it he does! Vibes for days on this one, adding his own unique sound to the existing parts. Closing out the EP we have a third original going by the name Sly Batuque. Once again the boys have got that sample heavy chopped up MPC groove down to a fine artform and it provides another example of why Soul Of Hex are about to cause such a stir.

Introducing a fresh electronic pairing as AZIMUTE (Quenum & Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder), Crosstown Rebels get set to present a glowing debut EP comprising three original cuts of pure and understated class. Lead track 'Control' pulses with robotic sex appeal as creepy sluggish grooves and low-end swing collide with hypnotic percussion and rumbling bass. 'Always' by contrast begins life as a more skittish affair, until an unexpected and powerful bluesy soul vocal and undercurrent of UK bass pervades this ever-evolving sonic framework. Closing the package, 'Where Is The Magic' shows AZIMUTE at their most frenetic and energetic, where the pacey percussion and propulsive groove is interjected with a dose of weirdness. AZIMUTE's statement of intent is a bold and playful one, conveying the raw talents of two of electronic music's true heads and masters.

AZIMUTE is a new musical project combining the energies of rising techno DJ-producer Cesare Marchese and veteran DJ­-musician Quenum. They became close when working together via Serialism on Quenum's latest artist album 'Face To Face' and quickly realised they share a common musical vision and way of­ life. With this debut release on Crosstown Rebels and another forthcoming EP due to drop on Derrick May's Transmat Records, it's clear the duo are about to set techno hearts racing.

Cesare Marchese (aka Cesare vs Disorder) is the freshman in the band, but no newcomer to electronic music. His productions have been released on top labels such as BPitch Control, Vakant, Dumb Unit and Get Physical. He was named 'Beatport's Ones to Watch' in 2009 and plays regularly at top events and festivals worldwide. His experience stretches to all aspects of the techno universe; he's been running his label Serialism since 2007 and promotes label nights at Watergate in Berlin and other top clubs in Europe.

Quenum is also well­ known in the scene and well respected for his longevity and quality contributions. He started his first label Access 58 in London in the mid 90's and later co­-founded Cadenza Records with Luciano, composing with him the techno anthem Orange Mistake. His discography stretches over decades and continents, and includes top labels such as Soma, Crosstown Rebels and NovaMute among many others.

Archie Pelago is a trio from Brooklyn. Greg plays cello; Zack plays saxophone; and Dan plays trumpet and works the knobs. The Archie guys did one of the very first releases on Mister Saturday Night Records; and we're very happy to have them back - especially with such brilliant tunes. The A Side, Clammy Customer, takes dozens of twists and turns, weaving in vocals by the always excellent Gabriel Garzon-Montano; and the B Side, Madame Suede Nightshade, was apparently made with us in mind (check the initials). Both sides are tried and tested on our dancefloor and cut at 45rpm for maximum oomph.

This is Detroit Electronic Quarterly (DEQ), a publication devoted to Detroit's globally respected electronic music scene. Volume six, a forty eight page, print magazine (square, 8'X 8') combined with a high quality 12' record of the issue's featured artists including Gerald Mitchell (Underground Resistance, GMI), Blair French (Dial 81), Taylor Hawkins, Jared Wilson, Bill Beaver and Mike Himes. The vinyl features unreleased material from most of the featured artists.

This newly inspired project has also been launched as a partnership with hometown friends - Nitin and former Art Department band-mate Kenny Glasgow in support of an issue very close to their hearts - animal cruelty. White has recently begun work on MAAC (Music Against Animal Cruelty), a charity project started with long time friend and Pulse Radio founder Wade Cawood. The charity will serve as a fundraising initiative with plans to galvanize the support of the electronic music industry and to help raise money andawareness to protect african wildlife facing the threat of diminishing population or extinction. Social Experiment will serve as a non profit record label with 100% of proceeds donated to MAAC.
