Sleazy Deep is the new label on the street. After the greatly anticipated first release from No Artificial Colours we follow up with Head Honcho Rob Made's first single You & Me. Rob's remix of No Artificial Colours has seen great support from Miguel Campbell, Seth Troxler & Richie Hawtin to name but few. You & Me is a cheeky one tracker to get you excited for more as Mr Made has a fair few bombs coming in 2012 so watch this space. This is floor filling deep vocal house at it's finest, hooky house with disco edges and futuristic charm. The remixes are spot on too, No Artificial Colours taking it to a head down druggy level, amazing atmospherics and their trade mark bombastic sound. William Medagli is Sleazy Deeps second signing and we have an amazing EP coming from him soon, his remix does what he does best. Modern Italo Disco which really sets the pulse racing. Finally we have another new signing from Ibiza, Spain. Gimenez keeps it deep with some amazing key work, this is a great remix and were looking forward to getting some original sleazers from him soon.

The night moves seductively on.... Foliage Records revisits Rocco & C. Robert Walker's decadent May classic I Love The Night with stunning new remixes from Master At Work 'Little Louie Vega and, as such, rounds off its year in the kind of achingly soulful style we've come to expect from the stable.

It may seem a strange proposition but perhaps there is a collective consciousness that can leave one club flat and makes another club fly; a presiding force that guides people through the peaks and troughs of a DJs record selection.

January 2012 sees the release of the debut The 2 Bears album Be Strong. A London record through and through, it ducks and weaves to the myriad sounds of the city, as The 2 Bears Raf Daddy and Joe Goddard pursue the perfect party record.
Alongside tracks like Be Strong, Church and the mighty Bear Hug - a pummeling treatise on the benefits of the peak time dancefloor cuddle - Raf and Joe mutate genres into previously unheard territories of dancehall country on the bouncing prison yard lament Time In Mind and garage reggae on Heart Of the Congos, a track that manages to simultaneously channel both Wookie and early '80s Madness before placing them each at a system in the heart of Notting Hill Carnival at dusk.
Raf Daddy - aka Raphael Rundell - met Joe Goddard (taking time out from his day job as one fifth of Hot Chip) through a party scene that saw them share deck duties at the legendary Greco-Roman parties. Upon venturing into the studio in an attempt to replicate some of the records that they'd lost themselves in the night before, Raf found himself laying
down vocals over Joe's skipping, bassomatic backing tracks safe in the knowledge that they'd soon be replaced by someone with sweeter, more melodious tones. In the end, it was Raf's voice that characterized and personalized The 2 Bears.

Were you able to touch them - to render them tangible and actually trace the rhythms in YACHT's 'I Walked Alone' - the lines would form steep hills and sudden cliffs that rise and drop off, again and again, at steep, sharp angles. The wiry funk and itchy bass move like a controlled spasm, convulsive and itchy, until the breakdown, when the nervous tension gets released in a series of cowbell clunks and a guitar solo that leaks out like a slow moving electric current. On this vinyl only collection of remixes, Parisian duo Get A Room!, aka Rove Dogs and Jeff Masson, massage out the herk and jerk, making for a more relaxed and aurally warm take. The sound of things is far housier here - and more pop, in the very best way - owing to synths where there previously were none and angles newly bent and refashioned into smooth, circling cycles of disco-infused sound. And there's more from Jacques Renault, who contributes a remix both with and without vocals. The New York City dance music stalwart takes his time building to a plateau of perfectly paced beats and a wall of recurring dream(y) house rhythms.
