Still only in his early 20's, UK based producer wAFF has an undeniable talent that far exceeds his years.. Co-founder of long established club night Koala in Hull, wAFF has played host to some of the best names in the industry. His tracks are already being championed by key heavy weights including Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed and Subb-an in notorious clubs such as DC10 and fabric. With excitement building for this stunning EP, it's only a matter of time before wAFF is recognised as incredibly talented and globally admired.
Fuzzy and raw on the edges, title track 'Jo Johnson' steams in with a heavy rolling bass enhanced with the seriously sharp kick and hushed seductive whispers. Erratic and prominent percussion plays to full effect on the dance floor, creating rapid build and bubbling energy, while added vocals creep in for a real flavour of jacking house. Shit Robot returns with his first new material since the release of his debut long-player, 'From The Cradle To The Rave'. After spending much of 2010 and 2011 touring the globe with his live show - including a string of dates opening/performing with LCD Soundsystem during their final shows in NYC - the rebooted Robot is back with 'The Green Machine'.

The first result of his Stuttgart/New York studio adventures is a double-header of dancefloor jams, 'Teenage Bass' b/w 'Space Race', which is released on vinyl and digital on DFA on May 21 2012. It's the first in a series of releases called 'The Green Machine', which will culminate in an album early next year.

Lead cut 'Teenage Bass' rides a rude EBM bassline and rave alert sirens, before expanding further with key changing chords and a defining arpeggiator. The hypnotic 'Space Race' is a distant relative of 2007's 'Chasm' - a meandering, melodic, star-gazing Robo-techno workout

The first tracks taken from Simian Mobile Disco's forthcoming third album, 'Seraphim' sees the band in playfully experimental form, creating a spatial, spaced out anthem drenched in sun-kissed euphoria. 'Your Love Ain't Fair' is a slice of deep, synthdriven techno, with more than a hint of the classic Motor City sound.
