Very strong USA vibes with this one, old school Brooklyn boogie feel! The riff is infectious, brought right up to date with the addition of a heavy kick. Vocal adds to the feel good nature of this track! Killer!

B1: 'Can't Fake Da Flip'
Disco with a large house element. Dancefloor killer, oozes of 80's flavour! Incredible bassline and heavy old school disco groove. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

B2: 'Get Over The Edit'
Intro builds to a little string break, then the track hits!! Aggressive, heavy beat! Can't help but move to this one. Big, BIG track! Another one for the dancefloor.

A1: Honey Sugar
This track is deep and melodic. Awesome arrangement, the vocals are brilliantly worked and the overall atmosphere of the song is wicked. With subtle melodies set deeply in the groove, a sure fire hit!

A2: So Many Ways
Laid back groove with cool percussion throughout. Funky bass, strings and vocal bring this track alive! So Come On!

B1: I Want Marvin
Soulful rework, a class track! Brilliant percussion, slow with breathy vocals throughout, every part of this is killer!!

B2: My Love Don't Come Easy
Smooth brass, strings and muted percussion create a chilled finish to the EP. A great, slow mo epic with beautiful rhythm and beats!

This new release is by jd twitch from optimo. When jd twitch travelled in south america, he has found out a lot of an excellent cumbia stuff. Cumbia is latin music in colombia. Basically cumbia music don't have a sound of drums.rhythm of cumbia is almost composed by some of percussion. Jd twitch added drum sound to make more mixiable dj tool version.

Very housey vibe on this one, with a heavy kick drum/snare combo. Expanding synth line and very subtle percussive elements help the track build. It really kicks in when the vocals hit along with a funky ass bass groove. Beautiful!

A2: Sailin' 79
Slow paced track, centred on the vocal. Great backing with bass, rising & shooting synth sounds. Not so much for the dance floor, a great track for bar surroundings or a low key dj set!

B1: You're Welcome
Smooth groove on this one, vocals are really well executed and give the track a great edge. Killer track!

B2: Love Is Gone
Super chilled track with a cosmic disco feel. Waving synths, and echoed vocals create a very big sound. This track is encapsulating, pulling you into the groove for the entirety and sticking in your mind once it's ended! Brilliant stuff!

Shakarchi & Stranéus are Faik and Daniel, two BFF:s from Gothenburg who are making some of the most catchy, emotional and well crafted dance music we've heard in a long time.

A1: Toomy Disco - Blues City
Brilliant melancholic disco! Lovely keys and heavy on the vocals - works really well with the bass line. Great track that will cheer up these winter months!!

A2: Daniel Solar - Way Back Home
Chilled disco. Love the hats and the riff is hypnotic! Great percussion, this will get you moving!

Side B:
B1: James Johnston - Give Me A Shock
Excellent groove in this track, constantly building and changing. Vocals are very cleverly worked. An easy listen, when it does hit full power it is pure magic!

B2: Andy Hart - Keep On
The melodic percussion is great! Slow, chiming keys create a nice atmosphere for the track to move. A really cool track to finish this great 12"!

Smooth track, perfect for those disco/house sets. Chuggs along gently with a tremendous groove, love the vocal and the percussive elements. The loose key riff really adds the finishing touch to this brilliant track!

B1: Untitled In A Ghetto
The groove is deep in the percussion, a simple bass line and quirky synth hook. When the vocal drops it is the epitome of a cool, down beat track. Awesome!!

Top class repress of Asso's Italo funk masterpiece from 1983. Featuring Do It Again, a killer Italo / Balearic disco-style cover of the Steely Dan classic. On the flip side you get the wonderful Don't Stop, a track which is pure blissed-out dancefloor heaven and deservedly became a Loft and Garage classic as well as receiving heavy rotation on both the Cosmic and Balearic scenes. With the coolest of laid-back jazzy piano grooves underpinned with driving funky squelching bass and superb syncopated drums, this beautiful record is well worth the high prices paid when it turns up on the internet.
