Marcel Vogel's Lumberjacks In Hell welcome the disco master Al Kent into the fold with the two track Yes I Can't 12". Al Kent is a true original. Not interested in anything but Disco. Dying his hair in a truly unique fashion, to match the sparkle of disco balls and having recently hired an Octopus to help him chop up those records. Both "Yes I Do" and "Can't Stop" highlight the Glaswegian's importance to keeping the true spirit of disco alive, deftly and tightly edited in a manner that would impress Messrs Hardy and Gibbons were they alive today.

"Let Yourself Go" by The Supremes is considered to be the holy grail for many disco vinyl collectors around the world.
The original 12" is almost impossible to find, and as amazing as the original track is, it's originally only just over 4 minutes, with a very quick intro & swift instrumental breaks.
JCG's clever Re Edit is Longer & Louder, brilliant remastered sound and smooth chops for a perfect disco ride.
The 4th and last track is JCG's Re Edit of "Check Out The Groove" by Bobby Thurston.The original instrumental edit was a massive digital hit, but for this Vocal EP JCG created an exclusive vinyl only extended vocal mix. After being on top of the Juno charts time and time again for his unique Re Edits, Jean Claude is Introducing debut release on Coco Bin Originals, his new label.
The debut EP is titled "Nite Dubbin", containing 4 brand new tracks, produced and played by JCG.
The title track was a big hit in the digital underground Nu Disco scene, now available for the first time on vinyl.
All 3 other tracks are completely exclusive to this release at this point.
"Dusty Crates" (a2) is an piano house peak track, "Sequencial" (b1) is a classic 90s oriented instant garage classic, with Hammond solo by Jean Claude, Jazzy chord stabs, and wicked drum beats.The last track, titled "Soul F" is a bumpy Jazzy track, like the rest of the tracks, very old-school, with intense funky Rhodes by Jean Claude on top of some well-crafted addictive beats.

MB Edits continues to dust of the classics. This time it's one of the most famous club tracks of all time!

Stardust (Alan Braxe, Thomas Bangalter & Benjamin Diamond) - Music Sounds Better With You, done 1998. It created a buzz that never been seen before and most likely never after as well. People were literally fighting for the Roulé Vinyls in the stores that time. They were gone in seconds. I'm sure you all remember those crazy days. Those were the days, huh

With the connection to Thomas Bangalter and Daft Punk with their new album, we felt it was nice to do a tribute to their work. First out is Martin Brodin (Nang, Eskimo, MB Disco) who kept true to the original and did a nice Nu-Disco edit of it.

Flipside offers a different approach from Rare Wiri founder Rayko. He mixed Music Sounds Better With You with Bucketheads 'The Bomb'. So here you have two of the most famous House tracks from the nineties cleverly mixed together.

This year sees Dj Uchikawa celebrate 30 years in music. In that time he has been a driving force in Japan for quality soulful music from jazz through to techno, tirelessly working to push, promote and support the scene.
His Loftsoul imprint has fast established itself as a label of musical excellence in the dance music realm with releases thus far featuring Glenn Underground, DJ Spinna, Lisa Millet and the Latin Soul Brothers.
Release #4 continues in this rich vein with another fine example of emotive music for the dance floor. Wait For You features the vocals of Carla Pratha over a typically driving groove from Uchi and production partner Hide Koyama, merging the electronic and organic to devastating effect.
The remix comes courtesy of Chicagos very own Cordell Johnson and Tim McAllister under their Excursions moniker. Cordell is
possibly Chicagos best-kept secret having been one of the citys smoothest and most knowledgeable DJs since 1981. The Excursions Mix takes the track deep into Chicago House territory, giving us an alternative yet equally compelling take on the song.
Finally, Earth Song sees Uchis original groove laced with a killer guitar workout from Hideki Ikeuchi, completing the package.

Deep Site Recordings presents Karmine Rosciano's "Sending My Love EP", coming soon exclusively on vinyl. Karmine is no stranger to deep house fans around the globe with damn fine releases on imprints like UM Records, Incepto Deep, and City Life. First off on the EP is his original track, Sending My Love. It's a smooth deep funk dancefloor number peppered with groovy guitar, lush orchestral pads, and a sweet female vocal refrain. Next up is a melodic and resplendent remix by Vincenzo (Anjuna Deep/Dessous). Placing the vocals more upfront, he then adds a wickedly infectious garage styled bassline and electric piano chords over the original sounds, creating a scorchingly deep track. The third song is another original from Karmine, With You. Beautiful piano lines coupled with funk bass and guitar flourishes soar over a driving deep house structure that accentuates a percussive discothèque feel. The final tune is a remix from Alex Neivel (Large Music/RvS). Taking the original elements to a completely new place, Alex emphasizes the late night mood with rich floating pads, dark spacey atmospherics, as well as perfectly timed rhythmical pauses.

People Must Jam is our Sydney based warehouse party that we have been running for five years.

The ethos behind the night initially, was to bring DJs to Australia that we wanted to hear but that had never been, and to put them on in intimate spaces and let them dig deep into their collections to play whatever they wanted.

Next is Frank Booker's straight up party track Dance Woman. Frank reworks Crown Heights Affair into his trademark chunky, funky house sound - a perfect dance floor destroyer.

Al Kent rounds up the release with a peak time rewire of a bona fide paradise garage anthem.

A brand new label with some old hands on deck, tici taci is bringing the funk back with this first release - Electric Plum. Producer Duncan Gray (ex Sons of Slough, veteran of many vinyl labels) has gone back to basics, slowed things down to 110bpm and plugged in the real instruments.

The A side - Electric Plum - pays tribute to the might of P-Funk, Bootsy 'n' Bernie's unison bass stylings coupled with a big unreliable analog synth calling the crowd to party. On the B side Purple Ash evokes the days when synth pioneers just wanted to make funk tracks. Look out for the big mood swing - the only thing missing is Chaka herself.

The good news is that these tracks have been given a thorough road testing by the Chairman himself - Andrew Weatherall has been playing these (and a big bunch of other tici taci pre-releases) over the last few months - check tici taci's soundcloud page for links to AW mixes. Duncan is also Andrew's favoured bolt-on guitarist for remix work having played guitar on some recent remixes including Craig Bratley's Obsession.

There is plenty more to come from this new label so now is the time to go out and get the perfect grey leather jacket so you can roll the sleeves up and look totally cool while you groove to the tici taci sound.

Grass Green's first foray onto vinyl has called on the services of two leaders in their fields at different ends of the experience spectrum.
Greg Wilson has been involved in music for more than 30 years, chiefly as a DJ and producer and is riding the wave of the (new) disco boom.
Andy Hart is a relative newcomer, but one who is fast carving out a reputation through his work with the Melbourne Deepcast crew.
Each was asked for a new version of a track from Monkey Boots' number one * Whitworth Strut EP. Each has delivered. And then some.

Well they don't come thick and fast from us but when they do they are pure golden magic!


It is with great honour that we present to you the one and only Shit and Shine. We can't believe how much of a score this is for us. He's not an easy fellow to track down - locked away in his bunker in Austin, Texas - but sure enough he was into it and has graced us with five stone cold killers.

Forget what you think you already know about them. Yeah they can be noisy. Yeah there can be loads of them. Yeah they just play one long song live... this turns the page yet again! Following hot on the heels of his recent killer Diagonal release, 'Find Out What...' is unadulterated dance floor mayhem sprinkled with that Shit and Shine magic. You may think you've heard them before, but you haven't. Not like this.

Side A finds 'Panther Piss' roaring into disco action layered with a persistent groove and a vocoder full of soul while 'Stop Being Sexual' strips everything back to just a minimal sizzurp pulse. Side B drops some 'Darth Vader Flavor' which jerks and jumps with kraut magic and an almighty throb. Then onto 'Corvette Museum', loaded and sexy with it's synthesized italo magic and last but definitely not least is the raw distorted swagger of 'Public Display Of Pussy Whipped'.
They don't come anymore perfect than this.

After a superlative EP from Chicago's DJ Rahaan, Dublin's Fatty Fatty Phonographics is back with another installment of Pablo and Shoey's 'Rejigs', which have had support from the likes of Hot Toddy, Bicep, Get Down Edits, Leftside Wobble, House of Disco and Rub'N'Tug.

'No Good (Start The Jack) sees them take on Kelly Charles' 'You're No Good', a late 80's New Jersey house bomb and source of the infamous vocal hook from The Prodigy's 'No Good (Start The Dance). After one of the great 80's dance music clichés - an intro where some sassy mama gives her boyfriend shit down an old school telephone line - they go straight for the jugular with that big big hook, spinning the whole thing out for 10 minutes with lots of hypnotic piano loops and large chunks of the great song at the heart of it all. This is one that the crowd will be immediately singing right back at ya at 2am!

'Gonna Get Ya', meanwhile, goes for some Greg Wilson 'Edit The Edit' style shenanigans, taking on Barna Soundmachine's sly, slinky funk loops. The Barna man's original had a whole heap of Diana Ross' vocals from 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me' at the centre but never let rip with the big hands in the air chorus. The lads have rearranged it here so it's alot less teasin' and alot more ease-in!

The 3rd track is as important to Pablo and Shoey as it is to Moodymann, so 'Funky Rump (Tribute To MCA)' pays tribute to the sadly deceased Beastie Boy by looping up some busy jazz drums from 'Paul's Boutique' and splicing it with a very fitting in concert tribute from the one and only Flava Flav of Public Enemy. The full track, when it eventually arrives, is a relentless clav funk monster that just keeps going and going....

Persnickety Sounds is here to funk-ti-fy your world!
In this era of Nü-Disco, Space Disco, Cosmic Disco, Disco House and shit, there must be a beacon of quality to light the way and lead the faithful back to a place where good grooves matter and realness is holding court.

The French Astro Labs label run by Laurent Pastor since 2005 is proud to announce its second Various Artist compilation across two stunning discs featuring a host of exclusive productions from some of electronic music's most exciting artists. This is the first of 2 vinyl samplers containing the albums highlights.

The Vinyl Factory celebrates Jeremy Deller's widely acclaimed 2013 British Pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale with the release of a dancefloor-orientated remix of his cover version of A Guy Called Gerald's acid house classic 'Voodoo Ray'.
The Vinyl Factory collaborated with Deller on the musical soundtrack to his film work exhibited in Venice, the soundtrack to which is composed on three cover versions of classic British songs - 'Voodoo Ray', 'The Man Who Sold The World' (by David Bowie) and 'Symphony in D Minor' (by Ralph Vaughan Williams) - by the Melodians Steel Orchestra, an English/Trinidadian steel band, produced by Deller and recorded at Abbey Road.

The Melodians Steel Orchestra performed at both the pavilion's official inauguration on the 29th May and later that evening at now legendary The Vinyl Factory & British Council party on the Isla Vignole, Venice, alongside Scottish DJ/duo Optimo, long-time friends and collaborators with Deller.
Inspired by this party, JD Twitch from Optimo has now remixed 'Voodoo Ray' into a joyous piano-house stomper in a vein similar to the now hard-to-find Frankie Knuckles re-work from back in the day, with vocals from the Melodians.
Featuring cover artwork by Deller and pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl, the 12' will be released by The Vinyl Factory on November 4th. A digital release will follow two weeks later.

Rare Strictly Groove #01 is the first chap. of a series of 12" which incl. the best unreleased tracks from artists already in the label's roster and very close friends. This V/A open with "Waltz To Share" by Avenir, a quite old track from the very superb catalogue of our favorite producer from Palermo. Modern and fresh "deep" house, enriched by the beautiful voice of Clara and some precise arrangements of space sounds and more vocals. Also we find two tracks by Salvatore Stallone, one of the artist is influencing more at this time, with his unique and amazing jazzy touch and incredible eclectism. "Etes" and "Brian Off" are both very concrete underground pearls, inspired by masterpieces of the past. But the main theme of this release is dedicated to "The King" by Daughters & Sons. Some expert house rhythms and groove with "his" name looped in an involving memory.
